Unassuming but great - they have a big menu and everything is good and affordable. Nice patio too. Get the house juice!

Update: Food is still good. But unfortunately they've decided to switch to all plastic take out containers even for dine in. I find this particularly wasteful so changing to 3, stars

Sat on the patio with a friend I met for lunch! I got the vegetarian pho. The veg pho had a lot more flavour to it than other phos out there. Great hidden spot, I would highly recommend!

This is a hidden gem of delicious-ness right in the middle of Trinity Bellwoods. Maybe hidden is the wrong word, as they are often absolutely slammed these days.

What used to be a Greek/greasy spoon restaurant disguised as a bodega, is now a cozy and flavorful Vietnamese spot, and a neighborhood staple.

When the old owner decided to sell, a Vietnamese couple (Hannah and Liam) decided to buy it. Later on they added Vietnamese food, and the neighborhood couldn’t be happier I’d say.

The pho itself is wonderful. I didn’t know what to expect when I first saw the light up neon sign but I was pleasantly surprised. It’s flavorful without being over salted or too sweet. The noodles are cooked to perfection and the beef is thinly sliced to perfection. They have these grilled meat rolls that are phenomenal (editors note: I had asked if they could make them, they did, and then got so many requests they added them to the menu. I’m a proud papa!). The fries and onion rings are also very good, as is the fish and chips. And the prices are amazing. Most items around the $10-14 mark.

Go check it out. It’s no frills but you won’t mind because it’s so good!

Went today for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. Food was delicious, portions were huge and the atmosphere was welcoming. This may become a new regular spot! The couple beside us got the banh mi and it was huge and they were raving about how delicious it was… so def gonna try that the next time I go.

I’ve heard about this place for quite some time as the breakfast is supposed to be awesome. I was feeling for bun vermicelli so I decided to give this place a try. I paid $13 for this, this is usually $15+ at other places. I also ordered a Bun Hue spicy beef soup. The Bun Vermicelli was a good portion of noodles and veggies but the chicken was very little in comparison to other places. I would say adding extra chicken for $4.50 is what is needed to bring it on par. Nonetheless it was good but missed that extra protein. The soup was for someone else and they said it was pretty good. This was $16. I would definitely order again. Note this was delivered so the chicken was tossed about as u can see in the box.

Pre covid I used to stop by all the time for great food, was a great neighbourhood joint. Just went and wasn't impressed. Thought a sit down breakfast would've been nice but it wasn't. There are no servers to actually serve you. It reminded me of cafeteria style food. Very disappointing when I had to go up and get my own meal and it was on paper plates, with plastic cutlery, and coffee in a paper cup. Not really what you would like to see when you go for a nice breakfast, expecting good service & friendly staff like it was before. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.

Pre-Covid, I used to come to UFO once or twice a week for a simple, non-pretentious breakfast. I'd get a simple egg and sausage breakfast for about $7 with bottomless coffee and my husband usually got the pancakes for about $8. With tax and tip it was $25. The service was good and the food was what you expected.

Today, we visited after a couple years, and it has changed a lot. Firstly, quality of food has stayed the same, but the prices are nearly doubled. But worse of all, the service is gone and is really poor. There is no wait staff, you order at the counter, and they "serve" your food on cheap paper plates. But the staff doesn't really serve you - instead, you have to pick up your own food at the counter and bring it to your table. Oh, and you also get the cheapest plastic fork and knife to eat with (which you pick up yourself from a tray) and your coffee comes in a paper cup. It was just an awful experience. It was worse than a highschool cafeteria. What used to be a neighborhood hidden gem has really fallen by the wayside, notwithstanding their efforts to fill the space with more tables and upgrade their outdoor patio. The space looks messy and dumpy. Sadly, we will not be returning.

Don’t let the look of this fool you. The restaurant from the outside looks more like a convenience store. The food here is amazing, especially given the affordable prices. If you’re looking for a no-frills, affordable, authentic Vietnamese restaurant, this is the place to go. Highly recommend the rare beef pho, shrimp and pork salad rolls, and the grilled pork, spring roll vermicelli and pork Vietnamese banh mi. Check the hours before going as they close early on specific days!

Place is rundown in a convenient store setting. We had doubts with their authenticity when we see they serve western style breakfast and we were right.

Their pho was HORRIFYING. Beef pho tasted blend, spring rolls were horrible (how is this possible at a “pho” restaurant?) They serve food in disposable foam containers when you dine in.

What’s wrong with ppl who gave this place a 4.8 rating? There are a lot more authentic pho places in the GTA.

No idea how Michelin overlooked this establishment. I’m now formally rating you #1 restaurant in Toronto for taste, service and good times.

Wow saw all the stellar reviews so had to try it after thinking it was a convenience store for 3 years. Had the bun bo hue and chicken banh mi for dinner. Everything was cooked fresh! Meat was juicy and the banh mi bread was light and crispy toasted on the outside. The pickled carrots really enhanced the flavor. The soup was so flavourful and perfectly spicy leaving my sinuses running in a good way! Recommend people to try this gem out.

Been hearing about this place a lot recently. Hands down the best vermicelli and spring rolls I’ve had in Toronto. Generous portion size and super affordable. The restaurant itself is a little run down and unsightly, but the food really makes up for it. I’ll definitely be coming back to try the pho once the weather cools down!

UFO is a Toronto treasure. Lovely neighbourhood Vietnamese joint serving pho that hits the spot. Other non Vietnamese dishes served as well. Worth a visit.

Had the Pork Banh Mi, everything u would expect. Fresh food, great staff. Run to this place and enjoy!

I don't know what's going on, but I notice the preparation differently, before I noticed the love at meals. The last time I ordered a hamburger, the meat was burnt and the bread was hard, made without love, and today I order my breakfast, and it only aggravates my expectations.

UFO is our neighbourhood gem for delicious Vietnamese food at a great price. I recommend calling ahead for take out orders. I hope whoever buys the house to continue leasing their first floor to UFO.

Good, clean Pho flavour and no frills mom and pops shop in the neighbourhood. Decent prices, decent food. Not out of this world, but a cute visit and good to have near.

Super affordable, tasty, and cozy! I’ve had their pho, fresh rolls, and one of their breakfast plates with eggs, sausage, fries, etc. Everything I’ve had was so good!

Great bowl of beef pho and vermicelli, best in the downtown core in my opinion! And that price can't be beat either. Love a local family run joint like this!

UFO is a go-to place for my family. We usually get the beef pho, or pork or chicken vermicelli, with a side of spring rolls. The spring rolls are one of the the best in the city. The non-Vietnamese food is great too - burger + fries combo is massive at a solid price point.

Special little spot. Tried the breakfast and now the Pho (multiple times). Loved it every time! Some hot Pho and deep fried spring rolls will definitely be on the go-to list for this winter!

Amazing bahn mi, pho and some of the nicest spring rolls I've ever had. Definitely need to go here if you enjoy Vietnamese food. Staff are so friendly also!

Honestly the broth is dope, the breakfast is dope, the vibes are dope. Love the little patio, love the store inside, love the family that runs the shop.

Perfectly tucked away on a quiet street. One of my favourite places to go. Everyone’s sweet and the food is exactly what I want. I love their pho and smoothies the most, but everything I’ve had there is good!

Hidden gem. Great pho and a weird quirky interior which is a mishmash of a convenience store and a pho shop.
