Fantastic selection and service! I was not 100% happy with the design of the light fixture I chose & after the manufacturer was unresponsive, Pam made every effort to find an alternative light fixture that would work for my needs. She really went above and beyond. Also, I needed them to hold onto my order for awhile as I was out of town & they were happy to do so. Other tip: it is a good idea to ask them for recommendations on lightbulbs for their fixtures.

One of the best place to buy lightings in Toronto. Lots of choices and prices are very reasonable. They are always busy so getting the help of a salesperson requires some patience. Go on a week day. The back end (pick up, customer service) service is excellent.

What an amazing store to shop. We were introduced to this store by our designer. They have some of the most beautiful lighting and furniture my wife and I have ever seen and I don't say that lightly. We also found the staff very knowledgable and sincere in wanting to help. (a very rare quality) We will definitely be back. We can't wait for the furniture to arrive.

Overprice products from a union lighting company to deal with. Their items look nice but customer service is absolutely appalling. I have placed 34+ orders over the past few months and some of the products were not delivered at all! Requiring me to have to make several calls & back and forth emails and now I’m being told that I have to wait until March for items ordered in December. If you need the item you ordered, say maybe sooner than 3 months, don't bother ordering from here. I wish I just looked around more instead of ordering from this place. Probably the worst retailer customer service I have ever experienced. The people who answer the phone are lovely and polite, but while waiting for units that have been back ordered 3 times over the course of 2 months since my order, I got a different answer every time. Don't expect to speak to a manager about your problem.

We walked through the store for over 30 minutes, taking pictures and noting items we were interested in. No one asked us if we needed help or wanted anything further. I wasn't impressed with their lack of interest in us when we were ready to make a purchase for two rooms in our house.

We ordered mattresses and beds from Union Lighting & Furnishings for a vacation property outside of Toronto. The delivery team of Paul & Chimmy did an outstanding job of removing old beds as a courtesy and delivering new ones. Two King beds and mattresses provided a particular challenge in a tight stairway but they navigated things with a smile and a positive attitude. The delivery and installation was flawless. Not a spec of packing material or debris was left behind. My place was left spotless by this team. The beds look and feel great. All companies should aspire to this level of customer service. I even got a call the next morning to confirm how things went from Union and could only give them top marks. We love our new purchases and will be back for more lights and furniture. You can't beat the selection. I highly recommend them. Thanks!

I've been to Union Lighting & Furnishings a few times. The selection is excellent and the showroom is beautiful and well laid out. The customer service cannot be beat, especially Kelly who is knowledgeable and very helpful. I bought a number of unique items that look great in my home. I will definitely return for more. I highly recommend Union Lighting & Furnishings.

It was a pleasure to deal with Union staff at 1491 Castlefield Ave, Toronto today. They are kind, fair good listeners and respectful of us as customers. We highly recommend Union Lighting and Furnishings at this location. I wish that there was a reward that they could receive for the service culture at this store. During this difficult time it is so important to experience kindness and excellence in service.

We were delighted with customer service help today. After trying several lighting shops for larger than usual table lamp finials, we went to Union Lighting. They were super - finding what we needed and only asking for a smile in return. We happily obliged.

If I could give more stars, I would. The chandelier I got 2nd hand was missing a non-standard crossbar. Of over 20 different lighting stores called, Union was 1 of only 2 that even tried to help. Vinay searched through the warehouse and sent photos of the closest substitute. When my husband went to pick it up, the owner/manager didn't even charge him for it. If this is the effort they make for a random caller, I can't imagine any customer leaving unhappy. Thank you, Union Lighting!

We got a good deal on a fixture and they have lots of selection.

If your expecting Louis Poulson, Artimede or other designer brands call before you go to make sure they carry them.

It took a while to check out and get our order. So they can improve on that end of things. Also, it was difficult to identify staff of they were not at their station.

I have been to better lighting stores.

Can't say enough about our experience with Krissy at Union Lighting.she is a rare gem! In a time where everything is delayed and it almost feels impossible to get decent service, Krissy made the process as easy and smooth as possible. She was always quick to respond and keep us updated on any changes or delays, as well as to share her expertise when we were unsure. We wish there was at every stop along the renovation journey!

WOW! What amazing service! Krissy went out of her way to help us. We have a size issue with our bathroom wall. We wanted to fit 2 mirrors and 3 sconces above the vanity. Krissy looked far and wide searching multiple catalogs and came up with a few options. We ended up finding a great solution for the mirrors elsewhere only purchasing the 3 beautiful sconces from Union. Krissy was just so happy that we found something that fit the space in spite of all the effort she put into our situation. We were so grateful to have dealt with someone so genuinely interested in helping us. Thank you Krissy! You are a treasure.

Krissy suggested that we check the glass shades when we got home to make sure that they were in good condition.just in case. She said that that could be done in the back by the shipper. Well, another great experience, I asked Brian to open each of the boxes and examine the shades. This he did willingly. So nice.

I cannot say enough about the service here. Thank you to both team members that looked after us. Thank you to Union for having such great staff. Thoroughly pleasurable experience.

Excellent pricing, customer service and products! My husband and haven't been able to agree on lighting in years. We walked into Union Lighting and picked out the lights that we liked very quickly, and also found the perfect ceiling fan and sectional. I can't rave enough about this place!

Great customer service! Many many options for your lighting needs. I initially thought it'd be too expensive, but we gave it a shot and we were quite pleased to see that they had numerous options that would fit our budget. Worth checking it out over the big box stores such as Lowe's or Home Depot

Very poor after sales customer service. Still waiting for a solution for our chandelier that doesn’t involve a restocking fee or purchasing another unit.

We were told we would have our light fixtures in two weeks, only to be informed that there was a miscommunication between the vendor and the buyer, with no certainty as to when we would get our light fixtures. Asked for an alternative that fits our specific needs, spent more money on a replacement without seeing it, brought it home, had it installed only to realize it’s an extremely warm light. Not sure if it’s Lillian’s lack of product knowledge or inability to match customers expectations. Out of the four light fixtures we purchased, we made it clear we needed white light.

Thanks Lillian and Crystal for the “I’m sorry” emails. We will hang them in place of the chandelier until this issue gets resolved.

The staff from receptionist to sakes associates are very knowledgeable and professional. Ajay at Customer Service is the best customer service person I have seen. He is knowledgeable, responsive and takes on responsibility to follow through with the challenge handed to him. Employees like Ajay build the reputation and differentiation for Union Lighting.

Far and above the worst service I could have imagined after having spent thousands of dollars at their store over the last few years. Earlier today I called as one of their lights was on sale for ~$600. Upon calling I learned they don't have any in stock. I asked if I can pay in advance for the next one that arrives at the sale price. The representative said they cannot offer the sale price for future inventory. Truly disappointing. Luckily I went on Amazon shortly after and found something better for less.

Fantastic selection at all price points. I’ve been a customer for 17 years and always found a great selection of current styles. And when I’ve had any issue everything was sorted out quickly and without fuss. Terrific service (even during a pandemic!). Wonderful company that stands behind what they sell.

A bit pricy but the product you see there can’t find anywhere else. It’s very clean and beautiful pieces.

My problem was with their return/exchange policy. We liked the dining table light in the gallery and when we hung it over our space. But when installed, the reflective drum went directly in everyone's eyes around the table.
It is unreasonable to refuse returns/exchanges or even store credit on lights if installed. There is no conclusive way to know how it will work in a space without turning on the light. For such expensive items there should be able to buy with confidence.
The same exact same light was on Wayfair.com (and cheaper!) and a similar one at Home Depot, both allow for returns after installation.
Every business has had to pivot and change their practices (especially during this time), Union lighting should do the same. Union Lighting cannot claim to care about customers and have policies that are all about protecting their bottom line.

Great place to get lighting and see all your options. Light fixtures look so different in person than they do online or in pictures.
My husband and I took some time to stroll through the store and figure out the style we wanted (we have different tastes). Once we found a few good compromises, we spoke to Heng. He told us if the lights were in stock, differences between the lights we liked, and other options within our budget, taste, size, etc.
It was a great light shopping experience and they have a huge range of selection from the practical and inexpensive to the lux and custom options.
There were a lot of store employees around to help even though it was a Thursday.

Exceptional! Visited three places beforehand and the minute we arrived at Union Lighting, we got attentive, and experienced service from Steve who solved our retail lighting requirements. (The other three places said there was no solution, and one said "the industry has yet to develop the technology to that extent. ") Steve proved otherwise with his experience, interest, and good listening skills! Thank you!

Pleasure to walk around in this store, I like that they also have side tables, and small finishing touches. Can’t find staff to help? Just go up to the front desk, they find them for you! I thought they made it very easy to shop here. I chose three lights and within 20 mins it had been confirmed they were in stock, I paid for them and had help to carry them to the car. Certainly didn’t find that in other stores that I checked out. Professional service and their light tagging system is great, price, measurement and available finishes, all very helpful.

Amazing customer service. Steve and Rob Cyr made sure our purchase went through well and we were assisted even after store was passed it’s closing time. Great customer service.

After being told that Union will be more expensive imagine my surprise to find that their price for an identical item I found in another store was not only listed at a lower price but they gave me a discount on top of that.
Their selection is huge and they not only have lighting items of every kind but have furniture. Bed rooms, dining and living rooms but no kitchens. That is a specialized field in itself.
I would say if Union doesn't have it or can get it then it hasn't been invented.
I also found the staff is happy to let you browse. They know you need time to absorb all the over whelming selections but if you finally need help or advice they will be available. I was there on a Monday morning and customers were everywhere but it may be busy on a weekend, just be advised.

Huge selection, adequate service, in stock warehouse, we've done lots of business with them and been happy.

I'm shocked at the amount of 5-star reviews this lighting store has. While the showroom is full of various lighting options and styles, not one sales person offered their help. We walked around the store for around 25-30 minutes with many sales people around, but none of which asked how they could help or answer any questions. We did approach a sales associate with a question which he answered and went back to doing his own work without so much as another thought. While the selection is vast, the price is a bit high and the lack of customer service is not worth your time in my opinion.

Excellent selection of high end light fixtures. I purchase two beautiful dining room table lamps. They were very cooperative in dealing with with me when I had an issue. They stand behind their quality and really do care.

We were here for AMEX members private event. They have a lot of staff working on the different departments and provides us the professional advices and service. More then a thousand lightning in the showroom you can see. They also provided soft drink, coffee, tea and snakes for their customers. Finally we brought 2 set lighting for our new house. Reasonable price and good service.

A trip to Union Lighting and Furnishings is always an enjoyable experience. A vast showroom, separated into smaller spaces, reveals a terrific selection of lights, furniture, art and smaller designer touches to enhance your home. There are always new items arriving on the floor so that the showroom always feels fresh and updated. The outdoor furniture section and bathroom vanity selection are particularly impressive. Even if you buy nothing you are sure to enjoy meandering around the store. The sales staff are excellent and you will not feel pressured to buy. For many years I have enjoyed working with Mr. Jaffer Said, a senior consultant who is attentive, knowledgeable and most pleasant to work with. All my purchases have been made with Jaffer’s assistance. If you are looking for design ideas and a new look for your home, Union Lighting should definitely be on your list.

WOW! I didn’t think service like this still existed. I got a call from Paul my delivery guy this morning. He was delivering and installing a patio umbrella. He told me I needed sand to weigh it down and offered to stop and pick it up for me. Who offers that level of service anymore? I said I’d get it myself. Paul and Brian arrived and unloaded the sand from my car and proceeded to set it up with such attention to detail. Not a grain of sand left behind, all packaging removed, instruction on how it worked and friendly as can be. It was actually fun! I will buy from them in the future for SURE! And I should mention their showroom is spectacular.my backyard looks straight out of Miami. Thanks Union!

Union Lighting was the go-to place for lighting for the longest time. I find their selection nowadays is not much different than most other places. I find in some ways the showroom looks a little bit run down and perhaps not as well kept as other showrooms in the area. We also found that the service was not as great as the other stores in the area. We had ordered three wall sconces that were supposed to take a month but ended up taking almost 2 months to receive. We happen to be in the area and asked if the lights had arrived and we were told that they had not and that they would need to let us know how long it would take to get them. And then after we drove off we were called by them 15 minutes later and we're told that the lights had arrived. When we told him that we were going to return to go pick them up they told us at the store was closing and that we would have to come back another day. We took a chance and went back to find that the store was still open and that we could have easily pick them up.

PLEASE UPDATE YOUR MUSIC! I love Union Lighting. As a designer, it’s my go-to for great lighting accessories. The service is also outstanding - everyone from the pick-up counter to the floor staff are helpful and great to deal with. I often spend hours in the store and the thing I can’t understand is why they still play outdated, elevator music from 1992 on repeat! I see Union Lighting as a place that keeps up with the trends - but the music selection makes my experience in the store rather painful. It’s like having a lobotomy while I source. It’s not helpful and in my opinion is an easy fix to update the image and experience in store. Please, please make this simple change! I think your staff might also appreciate it, too.

I have been furnishing my new home for over a year now with beautiful pieces from Union Lighting. I cannot express what great service and delivery we have received on each and every occasion (as recently as this month). From the professional and kind sales person Jaffer, who always listens to our needs and manages to find the right piece for our home, to the delivery and set up. The home delivery is done with great professionalism and care, from the smallest item to the largest ipiece and any issues (should they arise) are resolved with complete satisfaction. Every room in our new home has pieces from Union and we will continue to shop there and enjoy the beautiful furnishings and customer service experience!

This is possibly cannabis largest lighting store. It may be the largest display of lighting in the entire country.

If you are looking for lighting for your home and have the budget this is probably the store for you. If you're looking for very economical lighting maybe Ikea. The service at the store is generally very good and they do a nice after sales service and generally will exchange items that have been damaged in shipping Etc. They also have a great selection of light bulbs which is worth mentioning because you may be looking for some strange lightbulb you cannot imagine.

I recently needed a part replaced on one of my pendant lights over my kitchen island. I emailed Union Lighting on a Sunday and received a response right away, which was so surprising because most companies either never get back to me when I email them for support or take days or even weeks to respond. Within one day, I had my needed part, paid for it all via email and even had a follow up email making sure everything was fine. Everyone was incredible. This was all for only $30. I have shopped at Union for over 10 years and will continue to do so.
