The food is very overpriced but if you forgot/don't have a lunch it's fine I guess

Food is expensive and it doesn't really taste good. But there is plaza near the school, so you can go there and eat if you didn't bring food. The school is pretty noice: DD and alot of talented people

Very difficult to find a good teacher.there are some, however not many.school is pointless unless u attend for art/music
also many entitled kids in au program

I walked in to the school and it seemed empty. So I searched around and could just barely see a ton of kids hiding from me in there classrooms with the lights off and the doors locked. I started knocking and trying to get in but they didn’t let me in. Then some police arrived and arrested me. I don’t know what I did to deserve that treatment. They even took my pocket knife. Not recommended.

Who cares about your future? Teachers? Guidance? Not at all! And the atmosphere here is really horrible, so many students are way too competitive.you got 92, they got 99.this leads to the worst result, teachers are trying to make tests more difficult then they tend to be! So if you are not toxic enough, don’t come to this high school, because this is totally a prison, some students here are more deadly horrible than teachers.you will be freakin out I am so sure about that.

Why does this school have ZERO advanced courses? No honors, no AP, no IB, no special courses at all? I got a 1540 on my SAT, a 98 GPA and because of my minimal amount of special classes I got rejected from Waterloo? I have to go to western now.

As a former graduate, I enjoyed my years here at UHS.
Even though I was not an arts major, I took classes in music and tech.
I was a science major. They have good courses in science and computers.
I recommend the school.

I want to go to this school for engineering but i'm not sure if its good. Can any of you guys like this review if its good.

One of the top high schools in the area. Located beside Markham civic centre. There’s a nice soccer field both at the front and back of the building. They also have a track that runs around one of the soccer fields too.

The teachers judged my career choice and made me feel bad when they picked on me during class and pressured me to an extreme extent. I was not prepared for university or career development due to the lack of care to teaching. I was very uncomfortable during classes and had put pressure on me that stressed me out to an unbearable amount. Was not given much support and felt overwhelmed all the time

Beautiful school, my nephew had a small band performance there for remembrance day and I have to say from the teachers to the students themselves - the finest quality.

Honestly, this high school needs a major upgrade in all aspects. Facilities here are pretty old, the student washrooms are really disgusting and foul-smelling, and the roofs are leaking resulting in water damage. In regards to the students, well, they are certainly very social and they all seem to have a passion for learning, which is excellent. In regards to the teachers, disappointment hit me hard. In one class, which I believe is Geography, the teacher just sat back in a comfy chair doing absolutely nothing! In an English class, students were nearly all over the place (in the classroom, in the hallways, etc.) chitchatting with their friends. I don't blame the students, rather, I am disappointed in the teacher's lack of control and responsibility. Such a shame! Unionville High School is supposedly a top-rated school in York, and I'd expect the school to have better teachers!

I am shocked by the disrespectful attitude I received from the administrative staff and select teachers today. They are so, incredibly rude that I feel like parents should send their children to a better school with a friendlier environment. The atmosphere in this school is toxic. I do not believe this school is still rated as the "top school in the York Region". If I were to evaluate UHS, I would give them a 13% out of 100%.

People here are not very nice. Talked to a teacher who appears to be very rude. Very little flexibility for Grade 11/12 students when it comes to choosing courses because of the bad guidance dpt. Unionville deserves 0 stars.

I usually don't write reviews, however, the class of 2020 really sucks. They need more discipline from their parents/guardians. They are the loudest and most obnoxious group of students in the school. I recently got cyber bullied multiple times and nobody here is taking action or looking into the issue.

Strangely enough, I find that my old school has a more friendly environment than this dump. I know for a fact that other students absolutely love this school because of its "prestigious" academics/arts, and I agree with that. But, I was the unlucky one and was targeted almost all the time in my classes. I think that the teachers and staff at this school should be evaluated by the Ministry of Education on a yearly basis. If I could, I would give UHS a zero star rating, based on my personal experience.

Do yourself a favor and stay away from this maggot-filled trash building.

I only went here for nightschool, but holy hell, coming from a shabby school, it was quite surprising to find out that they had hot water in the washroom faucets. But if you can afford hot water, how can you not afford paper towel? Like?
And also, the lockers here are minuscule, like you can probably fit a file folder, maybe a very thin canvas, and that's it. Back in my shabby ghetto school, you can probably fit two skinny people inside them, so it was one helluva surprise to see lockers the size of a suitcase.
Overall, I can only comment on the environment of the school, which is quite marvelous, but that's to be expected from an art school.

In grade 8.just wanna know if the science and technology are good at this school? Also if there technology is any good?

What's with this school? I always thought that UHS was one of the best high schools in York Region, but not anymore. My son currently attends UHS and he told me that some of the teachers refused to provide extra help.when I booked meetings with his teachers, they honestly don't seem too friendly (very cold behaviour) and yet, one of them said that my son's overall performance in the course was BELOW AVERAGE at UHS.my son is a very hardworking individual and he spends over three hours a day on schoolwork. So, in conclusion, I definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND coming to UHS (even for its crappy arts program) unless you live within the boundaries. Bayview, St. Roberts, and Markville are much better schools.

P. S. The principal, attendance and administrative staff are also trash. They do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in the office and they are extremely COLD to students! ABSOLUTE SHAME SHAME SHAME!
