United Lumber just finished delivering a load of supplies for our new fence. Getting into the yard was challenging, as the gate made it a tight fit, but "JL" went the extra mile to make sure the supplies were delivered close enough. He saved our backs, literally! Thank you, JL - you were outstanding!

Extremely accommodating staff members were able to cut a certain piece so it would fit in my car and even helped me load it! Fantastic

I was very disappointed with my experience at this Home Hardware location. I ordered an item because it was not in stock. The item was tagged at $279.99 and the order receipt I was given stated the price of $279.99. The order came in within around five days and when I picked it up and paid for it, they charged me $299.99. When I tried to have the amount corrected, the store manager said he would do nothing about it. I found him to be rude in his response and disinterest in correcting the price. He said "the price went up". So I was expected to now pay more for a stock item that wasn't in stock. The price I agreed to when I put the order in, should have certainly been honoured!
It is not as much about the money as it is about the bad business practice and customer treatment.
I will not shop at this location anymore. One customer lost.

Yes and the price was $279.99- 15% so should have been $237.99….
The discount was supposed to be off $279.99.

I had a really good experience at this location recently. I went in to buy stain for my deck. I have never stained a deck before and the employee who helped me was very friendly and was able to answer all of my questions. Cashiers were also very friendly.

This team has been great during the pandemic. Quick to respond to emails. Quick to make suggestions as to how to get the best product at the best price. Friendly at curbside pick up. Strongly recommend shopping here over the bigger hardware stores!

Went there for propane and was told that they do not accept cash. Paid with debit but informed them that I would never be back.
Lost me as a customer for life. Poor service

Charged me for an item i didn't get. Had to go back in and get refund. Sold me 3 bails of peat moss they only had 2. Had to go back in again to get refunded again

Service was excellent quick pick up unlike Lowes that takes 15 minutes just to answer the phone to tell them you arrived

Being from out of town (2 hours away) I was recently in Barrie to move my daughter into a student residence. Upon arrival I found that two entrances that were supposed to have locking doors on them, did not. Faced with an urgent situation I contacted the Home Hardware on Bayfield Street and explained my situation. I asked if there was anyway for me to get two locking door knobs as soon as possible. I was advised that my situation fell under an emergency circumstance and was told I could come right over to pick them up. I was very happy and impressed with the customer service.

Spend an hour on the phone trying to get a guy named robert on the paint desk, went to Lowe's they answered and helped by 12 cans of stain.
