Always a terrible experience trying to deliver lumber here. Nobody has a clue what's going on. Forklift guts hide when they see a truck show up. 10 lifts 1.5 hours is not acceptable.

Called ahead to ask if they have muriatic acid and told yes, drive specifically to Bolton Home Hardware and they say no we don’t carry this. Not an apology or anything for being misinformed. This location needs to take lessons from the Orangeville and Shelburne locations where you get excellent service. So sorry I chose to go in this direction certainly won’t happen again.

Besides the one lady up front who is always helpful and friendly, I have always had rude treatment by management in the back. Want to support the smaller hardware store and support local but I don't think I'll be back.

Curbside pickup is easy & efficient. Store contact by telephone is difficult but email chat was quick and very helpful

Super friendly service, this location had what I was looking for in stock and had a unit pulled and kept aside for pick up. Even had someone carry it to my car and I didn't even have to ask!

Terrible experience. Over a month waiting to understand what occured. Told it would arrive in a week, a month later still waiting. Told it was a ransomware incident that delayed, then told there was a minimum order quantity to get it delivered to the store (found this out after 3 weeks of waiting)
Customer service is absent.
Sorry home hardware, I don't like to go to the big box stores, but you have left me with an experience that will assure I will not return.

Awesome store for all your home improvement needs. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Drive up lumber yard is great. Don't need to get of the car. Covid safe.

Trying to get in touch with Mark Anderson about solving a problem is like pulling teeth. Spoke to him in person and he asked me to send him pics and the receipt. I did multipal times with no response. Decided to go in person and he said he would speak with the vendor and he would get to me the next day. It's been 3 weeks. Called and left a message, still no response. Called again still cant reach him. I sent head office a message as well and nothing. This has been going on for over a mth and I think I've been very patient but now I'm getting upset. CAN SOMEONE PLS REACH OUT TO ME!

We support local businesses but won't be returning to this store. Disappointing customer service, poor quality lumber, and the order clerks on the lumber desk that don't know what cedar is.

Excellent customer service. Smiling cashiers. Perfect sanitizing due to covid-19. Very small line up to enter the store. Much faster than waiting at the home depo.

Massimo was AMAZING! I hope I got his name correct (i'm pretty sure that's what he told me). He was patient, able to juggle a million things at once & knew his stuff. He went out of his way to bring me a huge bag of sand from the back so I could see if the item was something I was looking for. Really nice guy too. The guy who opened the gate for me to get to pickup area as well as both the guy & girl that loaded my patio chairs into the car were also SO nice! What a pleasure it was to visit this store today!:)

Great supply for my building needs. The only downside is one older man who works in the building supply area where you go to purchase supplies from the yard. He is always there when I go. Sarcastic and rude very time. At this point I go to the bolton home depot for what I can to avoid people like him. Sad to see as I have been purchasing materials for years from this location. Won't be returning, too fed up.

Went to look for a shovel that is on sale. They had none, the employee was very friendly and explained that if they had none that they can place it on back order for me.

Really enjoy shopping at United Lumber in Bolton whenever I am working on my house.
The guys and girls at the back counter are very knowledgeable and helpful.especially Marv.
The cashiers are amazingly aware of their products and services.especially Fil.

This place has a propane tank but does not sell propane to RVs so don't waste your time or money going here.

Very helpful staff but the experience to pickup a lawn mower from the back was alittle cumbersome.

A Maldive gazebo was in the Home Hardware flyer and we went to purchase it at the Bolton location. We tried to order it but were told there would be a slim chance in getting it so we ended up going to Fergus since none of the other stores in the area had one either.
After opening the box and seeing the pillars to the gazebo, it looked as though it would not stand up to the wind conditions where it would be placed. We called the Bolton location, specified we had made a purchase in Fergus and asked if we could take it back at the Bolton location. We were told if we have the original receipt and it is in it's original packaging we could bring the item back (nothing was unpacked from the gazebo box - the lid was simply removed and put back on). My husband took it back to the Bolton store where it was unloaded and a ticket given for processing the return. Inside the store, the manager was contacted and my husband was told he has to take it back to Fergus; no proper reason was given other than "we would have to buy it". Now my husband is driving back to Fergus to return the item. What a bad experience at this store. I am so disappointed and now a converted support local customer from Home Hardware to Home Depot.

This place is only good to take your money. They have the worst customer service ever! If you have a problem or a return, good luck! I had a problem with them over filling a propane tank back in the winter. After trying to get through to the management to no avail, I contacted head office and spoke to the owner, my problem was then resolved after about a month. I also bought a MTD Yard machine tiller from them, had a problem, would not start due to no compression. I had to take the machine to their service center only to be told what I already knew (I am a licensed automotive technician) they gave us another machine after a long wait. Now, one year later this is happening again with the replacement machine (which was only used twice) I am not happy with the service at this store! BTW, the manager Mark tried telling me that it was due to not being serviced, after telling him about my credentials and correcting him on how engines work, he chose to try another "story" WHAT A JOKE THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS!
