We moved from Manitoba to Alberta a couple of months ago and used United Van Lines. From the very start to the end everything was handled well. We moved over 10,000 pounds and NOT one thing was broken. The attention to packing was exceptional. Thanks for making a stressful situation as easy as possible.

Used United Van Lines for my recent move from St. John's, NL. Both packing and loading were without glitches. The crew were professional and arrived on time. They loaded and unloaded things with great care to ensure nothing got damaged.

I chose Lindsay Movers, part of United Van Lines because from the first time I got boxes and paper for packing to delivery of those boxes to my new location I knew I was in good hands.
Each and every staff member was respectful and curious. None of my belongings were damaged and after 25 moves that is a rarity.

Claims department issues. The packing crew I had was great, but the load crew was awful. They broke several things while taking them apart, and damaged my barbeque. I was told that any claims would be settled through the claims department so I submitted my list of damaged items with pictures showing the damage. Now the claims department says that it’s not their responsibility because they didn’t note the damage. Doesn’t that just prove that they damaged it? Because there was no damage noted during the pre-move assessment?

I never received a phone call to discuss this. They just said they won’t be doing anything.

Find a mover with a claims department that actually will make things right and not just brush you off.

We were so pleased with United Van Lines and their representatives in Regina and Calgary as the result of our recent move. The representatives were a great help in planning and organizing the move. The entire operation was handled professionally and well. We would recommend United Van Lines to anyone planning a worry free move.

They are the only company out of the 7 quotes asked for to actually send someone to my home to estimate my move. Denis and his band of merry movers were an absolute joy to work with. We had the best service from the truck driver and the movers both moving in and out. Red carpet treatment. Definitely will use them again.

United Van lines is a large cross country mover and work with a number of local companies - however, because they don't deal with the customer directly - they don't care what happens to the customer cargo and let the results of their poor operations and management issues fall on the shoulders of the local shippers. Go elsewhere.

The team from United Van Lines, from our first estimate to the final unpacking, was very smooth and professional.

United Van Lines was excellent to work with - from the person that came to our home to the people that delivered all our items safely at our new home - everything was tagged and what I liked the most was that the packer in the home we were moving from was the unpacker in the home we moved to! That was great as he knew us, our things and good communication during the process! Highly recommend!

We recieved a very reasonabke quote for our move. Movers were quick and professional and kept my house tidy. Very positive and simple experience from start to finish.

United movers came to house twice to make sure they had a truck or containers that could carry everything. Movers were quick and organized. Tagged everything as it was a cross country move. It arrived safely to destination. The movers in Calgary were awesome. They delivered to new address on date requested. Everything was in one piece. No damages at all. Movers again were quick and put boxes where i wanted them. Put beds Together, etc. Communication between ontario office and calgary was great. Leann and angela were amazing to deal with and we felt that the move would go smoothly and it did. Great company and would highly recommend

We used Highland moving for both packing services and loading/transport of our 3 bedroom house from Calgary to Winnipeg. The packers were efficient, careful and cheerful. They packed our entire house in one day and it was great how they packed each room as one set of boxes since that made it easiest to find things and unpack quickly on the other end. The loaders were efficient, hard working and also careful with wrapping our things. The transport went the fastest that we expected since we had almost a full container load. Any questions we had before or after were quickly answered and I really appreciated having Jay come in person to do the assessment since it was the least work for me in getting an accurate estimate of the weight of our contents that we planned to move. He was right on in his estimate and the only change was that we were a tiny bit under in weight so our bill was a little less than expected which, honestly, is what I’d prefer. Ive moved provinces three times now and each time in a different way due to budget or circumstances. Now that I have young kids and a whole house to move, I would definitely use Highlands full service again.

This company moved us from Alberta to Ontario last June/July. In the process, they took the back off our couch and misplaced it (apparently it got mixed in with another move). The driver (who was very professional, as were his staff at both origin and destination) knew exactly where it was and made arrangements for the couch back to be sent to us. Someone named Monique emailed my husband in July with a picture of the couch back, and he responded with our address so they could send it to us. CRICKETS. It's now been 8 months, and despite repeated attempts to contact this Monique person by phone and email, she's neither sent us our couch back nor responded. We're also past the point where we can make a claim, which is convenient for them. So now we're stuck with a couch that DOESN'T HAVE A BACK ON IT (because who doesn't love relaxing while sitting in an upright position at the end of a hard day, am I right?) and no way of being reimbursed for a useless piece of furniture. Thanks, United! I'll be sure to spread the word about your utterly incompetent company.

EDIT: I changed my review from one to four stars because after I posted this, the company reached out, returned our couch back, and compensated us.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

We moved through these guys and have had little to no help with damages. Every email takes weeks to months to get a response. Follow up emails AND phone calls are IGNORED. And when we got a hold the receptionist 2-3 weeks after our most recent email. The receipts we submitted havent even been put in their system yet.

Absolutely no customer service skills what so ever. And they treat you like a number.
