I love the team of physicians here and have been going to this wonderful office for almost 20 years. The need I feel to write this review is directly reflective of the gentlemen answering the phones. I'm unsure when communication and customer service went out the window but I find them very dismissive, rude and the overwhelming feeling of them being inconvenienced by taking my call to book is appalling. Please address this, and soon.

Dr. Shamim Tahira is the best doctor I've ever had. She's attentive, patient-centred and empathetic. She allows me to participate in developing my treatment/recovery plan and is always willing to connect me with the appropriate specialists/providers.

Dr. Winfield will sometimes run late, but it's because she doesn't compromise on giving you the attention and time that you deserve. I have been fortunate enough to have had a relationship that has given me so much benefit over the last 22 years. Thank you to everyone at that office that makes such a spectacular level of care possible.

Ive been going here for the last 20 years and sadly the quality of care has declined so much, especially in the last 5 or so years. I don't really trust going here anymore, and a couple of my siblings avoid this place entirely.

I have never had a bad experience here, either in person or on the phone. I have regular appointments for diabetic care but when I have needed an urgent appointment, I have been seen that same day.

I have been seeing Dr.yoo for 20 years, the last 10 she doesnt care or listen to what is wrong, ive been off work due to injuries since July, she did nothing to help me, told me to go to work she wasn't writing me off, I wanted what was wrong fixed and she failed and when I said it to her she told me to find a new doctor, DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR SHE WILL NOT HELP YOU AND IM NOT THE FIRAT ONE

Bad customers service. Nearly impossible to get an appointment or have someone answer the phone.

We are so lucky to have Dr. Pitre as our family doctor. She is very patient and experienced. She really spent time listening to you and discuss the options with you.
The waiting time might be long but it's understandable. Receptionists are kind and polite. Other physicians at the clinic are very nice as well.

The doctors are great but some of the front desk receptionists can be super rude and condescending as if you owe them money.

The doctors are great but the reception service is HORRIBLE. My child is sick so I'm trying to call to make an appointment. They are picking up the phones and hanging up on my call. First I thought it was an accident but its happened multiple times. I get that they are busy, but don't be so unprofessional. I don't recommend this place. I wish my doctor didn't move here! Miss the nice old office.

Dr. Pitre is my family physician and she is fantastic. But the receptionists are not up to the expectations.

I've only visited the office once to attend an After-Hours Clinic and I wish I could transfer to this office! Margaret at reception was cheery, polite and helpful. Dr. Winfield was a saint. She spent time with me, I never once felt rushed. She really, truly LISTENED to me and had an actual conversation with me. I left with all of my questions and concerns addressed. It was so refreshing to finally have a good experience with a doctor.

Dr. Pitre is great. She is knowledgeable and caring. The staff have been very responsive and helpful to me.

The team of Physicians are amazing, the admin/reception staff bring my rating to a 1. They lack customer service in person and over the telephone. It is extremely difficult getting a hold of the office, (sometimes it's taken multiple hours to get intouch over the phone during operation hours) then once you do the tone of voice you receive sounds as if they are annoyed by you're call. I myself work front line at an extremely busy Clinic in Waterloo and I couldn't imagine treating patients the way I have been treated at University Downs Family Practice. If this was a one time thing I would not be writing a review but its been mulitple times and as you can see from other reviews I am not the only one who has been treated this way. I hope the clinic manager and admin staff can work together to give better care.
