Uptown Health Centre

I waited 2 months for an appointment and the allergist refused to do a skin allergy test on me because he thinks it’s useless. I took a day off from work to do this but it was a total waste of time. Never go to this clinic for allergy testing!

Myself and my family have been with Dr. Safir since 2018 and I have nothing bad to say. She tried to find a solution and help every in most difficult situation. Always helped, always provide all requested information, provide suggestion and monitoring. Front desk girls are amazing.

Worst staff I have ever come into contact with. They are rude, lazy and downright not pleasant people. Have spoken with prior employees who have said that they have withheld payments from staff and that they have no care for what they do. Wish I could give them 0 stars.

It was awful 2 times I went there and there was no doctor on both occasions just smiling faces to say sorry but the doctor is not in today or tomorrow probably never! ]

My family doctor is here and I have stopped by this place for years for various reasons and always have had a great experience. They are very organized and specially thought the COVID went above and beyond to keep the patients safe.

Because of the action on the phone by doctor Chew (I might write it wrong) my kid is using puff and today in emergency the pediatrician put the asthmatic symptom. Now I wonder how long from today it will take to get the allergic test for her in person? Last month 2 times been in emergency no essential action been taken.

Went for allergy testing for my eczema, the allergist was professional and incredibly knowledgeable and empathetic, the nurses and staff were so friendly and helpful!

I was there for allergy test and food challenge, the doctor ad nurses are so responsible and welcoming, they really care about their patient

Went once when all nearby walk-ins were closed. Waited over 30mins to see a doctor after 7pm. The doctor was extremely rude and told me "we don't do that here" when I asked for a new prescription. When I asked why, he just repeated himself and gestured me out the door. Will never return.

First off, thank you so much for always taking care of my needs and providing the best health care services in the city. We always feel welcome by Jenna, Mara and the front team. They are truly gems to the clinic and do an excellent job. As well, Dr. Kaushal is one of kind and cares about her patients by giving them quality health care advise to whatever you may be dealing with. FANTASTIC health centre- Cheers! SW

I showed up to the walk-in 15 minutes before opening, I was 3rd in line. As I was waiting to be called, more and more people began to show up and I noticed that the people who came in after me were being seen before me. I asked the receptionist what was going on and she kept reassuring me that I would be next. Then more people were called, and more, and I asked what was going on. The receptionist said that doctor was seeing them in the order they wanted to. I then said that this is a walk in clinic, is it not first come first serve? She then said that the doctor was choosing to see who was next. So people who arrived 20 minutes after me were were seen and done, while I waited. After an hour and another patient going before me, and even though I was 3rd in line mind you, I left.

Its sad to see fake reviews below, i have personally seen the way the receptionist treats patients who forgot their health card or have the valid red and white card.your appointment is almost never on time even though the face to face time with the doctor is quick. Many clinics all around the neighborhood worth going to

Penny was great. I forgot my health card, and she was kind enough to call for validation, 15 minutes on hold and she still had a great attitude about it. She was also able to reschedule my appt for the same day. It’s easy to overlook the positive interactions we have with customer service positions, taking it for granted - but it’s not.

Always been very happy with the service here. Doctors I've dealt with have always been pretty no-nonsense, so if you're looking for somewhere you can have a nice long chat, they're probably not for you. The benefit of this approach is that you will nearly always been seen more-or-less on time. I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes after my appointment time.

By comparison.my previous doctor (completely different office) had amazing beside manner, but would regularly run 2+ hours late as a result, meaning a 4pm appointment might not start till 6 or 7pm, turning what should have been a 10 minute appointment into a waste of a whole evening. That's the reason I changed to Uptown, and I'm very glad I did.

Walk-ins are more hit-or-miss, so you could be waiting anything from a few minutes to an hour or two, but I guess that's to be expected.

Extremely long wait times. The receptionist kept telling me it would be about 20-30 mins and it took me almost 2 hours from the time I got there which was right when the clinic opened. Doctor looked at me for 5 seconds. Horrible service. Horrible wait times. Could have gone to two other clinics and been seen in the amount of time I had to wait. Normally don't write reviews but was less than impressed.

The bad reviews are real! They gave me such a hard time signing up my son for a walk in.the wait times are crazy its like waiting in the emergency room

Front desk is horrible at communicating over the phone. Sounds like her father owns the health centre

Dr Kaushal genuinely cares and is very thorough. She takes her time to answer all your questions and needs and doesn't rush you to get to her next appt. The staff at the front desk are nice and very patient on the phone to answer all questions. They also have the pharmacy and physio clinic right there. Location has lots of parking. Would totally recommend Uptown Health Centre.

My family is few years with Dr Mandeep Wadhwa. She is very knowledgeable doctor. Doctor who cares. She always remembers the details of all our issues that we came before with. I like the manner of her behavior with patients. She is very confident and calm. When it was very hard time for all of us (my husband has got stroke a year before), she supported all of us as good psychologist. Doctor provided good medical advises and promptly helped with all required paperwork.

Made an appointment for 930. Came in, and they said there was no pre existing appointment. Tried to fit me in, told me they have a spot at 950. But ended up having to wait. Didn't get put into a room until 1030. And doctor came in at 11. So all in all. Waited 1.5 hrs. Ridiculous. Waste of time for making an appointment. My recommendation? GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Would have given it 0 stars if I could.

Terrible service, she keeps complaining why we are late. Our appointment is at 10am and we arrive at 10: 05. Yes, we late for 5 mins and she complained for 10mins. When you have baby, you never get on time. Plus, it is 10cm snow on the road! Don’t come to this place!

The girls at front desk are great! The doctor is knowledgeable. Pharmacy works perfectly.
