I was having a hard time resolving some of my orders through the customer care line. I called into the Newmarket store and the manager and Angelo took matters into their own hands to resolve the issue. I’m definitely a repeat customer to the Newmarket location. You have made my shopping experience at your location a lovely and unique one. Once again Angelo and store Manager thank you.

The service is absolutely terrible. Went in to purchase two mirrors i saw online. No one was there except 3 staff behind the cash register talking. I waited around, browsed a bit and still not one acknowledged me except look at me and kept talking to each other. This went on for 10 minutes in which I just left.
Couldn't bother spending 800 plus tax on a store with service this terrible.

Urban Barn is one of my favourite retailers and this location in Newmarket always delivers an exceptional consumer experience.

During my most recent shopping experience, all virtual due to COVID, still… Spencer was nothing short of amazing! Whether it was finding items at neighbouring locations (thanks!), ensuring I would get the best deal, or arranging the most efficient delivery experience for my bulkier items and furnishings, he went all out to ensure my purchase and virtual shopping experience was as good (or better) as being in the store itself! Thanks so much Spencer!

Additional shout out to Angelo, for rearranging my curb side pick up time due to other unexpected surprises also. With Covid protocols in place, the pick up was safe, organized, and super quick!

I do love the accessories that, The Urban Barn stores sells, maybe even more than the furniture they sell. Great selection here, friendly staff, willing to help you. Loads of parking here.

If you are looking for something that last for 2/3 years, you should look for another company. Their products quality is not good compared to the money that you pay and their customer service and warranty company are terrible! They will always find an excuse to not fix the issue. Our sofa was ripped because of cheap quality of the product and they told us if it was ripped by a sharp thing or by mistake we would cover it but if it’s ripped because of the bad quality if the product it’s not on us! How reasonable, right? !?

I have a whole new appreciation for UB. I used to visit infrequently due to, what I thought, were mediocre designs. I visited a few days ago and absolutely loved what I saw (and bought some items). I will definitely be a more regular customer in future.
Just to let you know, my daughter and her husband buy a lot of furniture at Urban Barn and when they went to pick up a cabinet just recently at your warehouse location they were treated very disrespectfully by a staff member. My son-in-law is the sweetest guy and didn't deserve being spoken to by one of the gentlemen loading the furniture into his van the way he did. He did nothing to provoke this individual either. Thought you should know as it makes people think twice before buying again. If you needed more details, I could provide.

Very disappointing! Be aware of the warranty company that Urban barn work with! We spend over $2,900 at urban barn for sectional Sofa and were told the sofa came with warranty for fabric for 5 years. After 2 years one of the seat cousin developed a rip at the zip side. We were asked to send photos of the close up and general area where the rip is to Warranty Company (DK furniture and Bedcare (diamondkote). After a few days we got an email saying that this isn’t covered because they cover upholstery against normal home use. I don’t know how our use wasn’t normal but ok. Needless to say these guys and their warranty are useless and I will never shop at Urban Barn as a result. I trust Urban barn to buy sofa as I don't have any idea about Warranty Company and they said is nothing to do about this issue!

I like that the merchandise they carry is different than other stores but the store was not well stocked, likely due to covid.

Our Berg Sofa and chair arrived 7 months ago, we were so happy to have the couch of our dreams after all our children moved away (light grey!). The seat cushions are fine but all back cushions are filled with a material that clumps and presents as disheveled no matter how much they are preened each and every day. For the price would it have been so difficult to make the back cushions with better quality? We have had alternative fibre pillows, and loads of down pillows, throughout our houses for 30 years (certainly long enough to know what we are talking about) and never ever experienced clumping like this. My husband and I have discussed using 30-year-old alternative down pillows etc.to re-stuff pillows from Urban Barn after Only seven months use. Wow. I used to enjoy looking around the store and I’ve been hoping a Canadian based store succeeds but now knowing how they cut corners has made me lose confidence in them. Today I finally tried again: my son just bought his first house so I went to look for floor models, clearance, and sales but noticed upon entry 2 things: their typical paltry 15% off, gee thanks, and WHAT REALLY SHOCKED ME WAS the HAND SANITIZER WAS INSISTED UPON ENTRY (fabulous!) YET THE BOTTLES REQUIRED FULL ON PICK UP THEN SPRAY, NO CHANCE for pump with the back of your hand ETC, SOCIAL DISTANCING BY CONSUMERS YEA! Yet personnel was clearly and frequently within 1 Foot of customers. I couldn’t take it anymore so I left.
Please Urban Barn insist upon quality and insist upon correct measures for your employees for the sake of them and for the customers.

I have found all of the staff to be so helpful. Every time we are in the store they take an interest in what I am looking for and do their best to help me out!

Love these stores. Have great accents and furniture. The service is top notch as well. Vaughan and Newmarket stores are my favorite.

As always, my experience at Urban Barn Newmarket was excellent! I have bought many of my home furnishings and accessories at Urban Barn Newmarket, including my recent purchase of the Santana sofa and custom loveseat, which I was extremely pleased to receive in just three weeks from the time of order! Many other furniture stores are quoting 12 to 16 weeks for custom pieces.

Visited the Newmarket store for the first time, what a lovely place, so many great items. We bought a beautiful runner for our hallway, drapery panels (ordered on-line) and a really fun bulldog as a gift for our son. We will be back for sure, staff are super

It was a wonderful shopping experience. The staff were very helpful and had great suggestions. I returned with a problem with the duvet and the young girl had several solutions. I am very pleased with my purchase.

The Urban Barn in Newmarket is a beautifully set up store. The staff are polite and willing to assist. I had been eyeing a pillow for a long time and finally decided to get it. When cashing out the sales lady clearly let me know the return period of time which I was pleased to know just incase. I am really pleased with my purchase. Great store with excellent products.

Amazing service, everyone was so helpful and we are so pleased with our purchase of a L-shaped couch, and 2 cabinets. Hillary was especially helpful for us picking out colours, styles and ensuring all our items were shipped on time. Great store, awesome staff.

Everytime I've gone into the Newmarket location the woman working there are always so friendly and willing to go above and beyond for their customers. I have 2 little ones with me when I go and usually going into stores like this is challenging but only because of the kids but you are treated by staff but not here they are always so helpful and patient. Thank you to the ladies at this location!

While the product was great, the customer service was not. I was purchasing 2 prints that were on sale. However, because the one on display was the last they had in stock, they refused to sell it to me and sent me to another Urban Barn. The Urban Barn in Vaughan told me they would never refuse to give me a sale item and that rule should only apply to regular priced item. The customer should always come first!

The associate seemed to not care and was pre-occupied with something? I bought a picture off the wall because there was no more in stock, I asked if I could have a bit of a discount she said no because they can get more. The price of the picture was high but I really had to have it. I checked out another store that had 40% off wall stuff but I really just had to have this one, I just think she could have been a little more accommodating. I love the merchandise in this store but it is a little out of my league.
