Jade was so so good! She understood my concerns and coloured my hair exactly how I wanted! She was very patient, kept answering my questions and in the end gave me what I wanted - a natural dark brown color while covering all greys

This was my first time with this stylist and she was lovely. She did her best. The last few times I have come to the salon I haven't gotten what I wanted because the last stylist quit and no notes were made on my hair. So each time I spend with a new stylist who doesn't know my hair and has no notes to go off of. This time I came in with a picture of myself with a hair colour I got from UC last summer. I was still asked multiple times what colour I wanted even after sending a pic. I advised the stylist in the past the salon has had trouble lifting my colour and if I can't get the colour done in one day, I didn't want to get it at all because I have a vacation coming up in a week and I can't get back to the salon. I also advised I didn't want my hair bleached to damage my curls. They stripped my colour twice to give me the red colour (didn't get the red I hoped for in the pic I showed). The first attempt at drying my hair didn't work so I dried it the 2nd time myself. My curls were damaged from the colour and were quite a bit loose so the stylist wasn't able to give me a proper curly dry cut. They stylist wasnt happy with the cut, but had another customer so said I could wait an hour for another stylist to style and cut or go home, style my hair myself and decide if the cut was good or not. I understand businesses can get busy but being asked to go home and check the cut myself is a new one. Im not happy with the cut if the stylist isn't happy with it. Just like the past no discount is offered even though the stylist themselves isn't satisfied with the work. Hoping to find a salon where I can get consistent service and the salon keeps notes on my hair type and how to work with it.

Cindy did such an excellent job on my single large braids. She explained the process she would take before a decision was made. Made sure what she was doing was clearly understood and handled my hair with care. Always a pleasure having Cindy do my hair.

First time coming in and will be a permanent customer moving forward! 120% satisfied with the overall customer experience, treatment, staff, and service of my hair, the place is clean and the staff is highly knowledgeable and educated on hair especially African texture. It’s high end top of the line luxury quality salon and I got my hair done with the highest quality. The price is worth it, I’ve tried more than 10 different salons and lost all my money because they don’t know how to do hair but this one is finally something I found that meets my needs. 5 star rating for sure!

Jade was a fantastic stylist. She was very attentive and took the time to make sure my cut was perfect. She did a dry trim, wet cut, and final snips after diffusing and styling my curls. I will definitely be coming back!

Tristiana was amazing. She made me feel comfortable and was easy to talk to! I only go to her to get my hair done! The staff are super nice and funny!

Absolutely loved my experience here! Rachelle was my stylist. I showed her pictures of what I wanted and she did exactly that, I was so happy with my final result! She explained the process, told me what products she was putting in my hair, answered my questions, and overall was so friendly and amazing. Will definitely be coming back

My daughter said to give a 10/10. She loved the experience, loved the stylist and the salon.
Her hair is beautiful, I love the curl definition. My ONLY issue is with the gel used. When she came home ALL of her hair was white (flaky). But it should be fine once she adds a little water to refresh it.

Tristiana was fantastic! She explained everything she was doing and the reasons why so that I could make sure to upkeep my styling at home.

I've been holding off on writing this review, hoping they would address the issue, but it seems like they just don't care. After waiting a month to secure an appointment with Jade, whom I was willing to pay extra for, I sent her all the requested photos ahead of time. On my day off, I traveled from Hamilton to Toronto, only to discover that Jade had canceled on me and switched my appointment to a junior stylist. Emergencies happen, I understand, but a heads up would have been appreciated. I could have easily rescheduled and saved myself the trip. The other stylists at the salon seemed clueless, and when I asked to speak with someone in charge, that person remained silent without even offering an apology. It wasn't until I had been there for 20 minutes that they finally mentioned a future discount. I was genuinely excited about getting a haircut there, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a terrible experience.

I just did a curly cut with keina - this was my first time at urban curls. Keina was so lovely and respected everything I said about keeping the length while cutting my hair. She also did a moisture treatment and taught me how to put products in my hair. I just did my first wash after my cut and my hair is honestly the healthiest it’s ever been. All the girls there are so welcoming and kind. Thank you!

I'm great at curling my hair, but Jade is even better! She styles my hair with well defined, shiny but not oily curls. She cuts my curls to frame my face beautifully. I get compliments from friends and strangers after I've had an appointment with her.

Rachelle was amazing! This was my first time getting my hair done by anyone and I am so impressed. She was so professional and kind and talked me through the whole process (while answering all of my questions lol). This is the first time my hair has been straight and actually feels healthier than when I started! Cannot wait to come back as Urban Curls is now my go- to spot!
