No eye contact, no wishing the customer, very busy talking between themselves all when a customer is at counter. This customer service 101

I recently shopped at Urban Planet at the Square One Location, on mother's day, and I was very impressed with the cleanliness, layout and variety of merchandise and most of all the friendliness of the staff, especially the Co-Manager. She was so friendly, pleasant and extremely helpful. Amazing customer service! I will definitely be returning and recommending family and friends to shop at this location. Keep up the good work and thank you very much for making my shopping experience so welcoming and pleasurable.

Urban Planet has many clothing options. Although most are for women.
The prices are not that high.
The complaints: there are many cupboards with clothes and the hallways are very small. And the testers do not have the extra 45° angle mirror.

Today I went to exchange a top which I purchased yesterday as it was having two defects which I didn’t noticed at the time of purchase, a lady (with covered head) who was the cashier was really racist and introduced me to her coworker by saying “brown tongue” and was making excuses while exchanging whereas the coworker named Sophia was really helpful

Disappointing shopping experience. The sales associates were unfriendly and were unwilling to help when i asked for their assistance. One girl was kind and helpful though, wish remembered her name

I was told by the employee at the dressing room to hang the clothes on hanger with attitude on Sunday afternoon. She was taking off the hangers for other customers. For my clothes, she didnt take off the hangers. Worst customer service! I left the store after that.

Worst place to shop at. The employee there was so rude to us for no absolute reason. Ruined the entire shopping experience.

I like the fact that they cater to petite females and the clothes fit so nicely to on me. Also the prices are great too, not too expensive in my opinion.

Reasonable prices and delightful range of apparels and accessories. The store can be organized better, to add space along the aisles. Shopped during their sale season, made me very happy. Recommend Urban Planet for sure.

This place was nice, since there isn't any near my location where I am from, the sales were good and all. However after coming back home, I checked my receipt and realized that I got scanned for an item that I didn't purchase or have on me, this also happened for my friend. The scanned item was also the most expensive item out of all my purchases, this get me very confused as to what they scanned now.

A good and very reasonable place to buy T shirts, Joggers (my favs), jeans, hoodies etc. Good for teens and uni students.

They have good variety at a very reasonable price. Quality of some clothes are not good though. Just don't buy the warm track pants that have fur layer inside as it keeps coming off and spreads everywhere in your house. But other than that everything I've bought and tried is amazing.

mgmt is disorganized with scheduling. Over hires and then disrespectfully let's full time employees go-not to mention this resulted in full-timers receiving 1-2 8 hour shifts a week and part-timers would be lucky to receive one shift for 2 weeks.

MGMT style is comparable to toxic "high school cliques". While the owner himself if boastful about paying mgmt/admins cents above minimum when he could have hired the sufficient amount of employees and paid mgmt/supervisors what they deserve= HIGH TURN OVER & BAD STORE IMAGE.many employees/mgmt/admins would receive wrong pay cheque amounts consistently= hard to keep track of because they manually enter schedules every day via pen and paper instead of having a scheduling program to have an algorithm set, but they decide to waste time every day.

POS system is inefficient and the business structure is disrespectful. MGMT/supervisors receive pennies more than associates and are given tedious duties that could be eliminated with efficient systems.

Had an bad experience in customer service (counter 1 from right) …nobody ask id to buy a T-shirt and with having bill of 100 and giving change all the tore bills in back and when i say I don’t want it, tried some unusual reasons thinking that i know nothing…. Really disappointed and felt like dominated for no reason…. Friday, Sep 24,12: 16pm (Square one)

The store is big and has partial multi levels. There is a lot of merchandise. Not too many many employees on the sales floor. It looked like it could be well organized but there was a lot of messy clothes laying around. The line up was long but moved fairly quickly. The cashier was very friendly and polite.

THE best, i love how they add new trends, also. As a recommendation, ya'all should add the modern japanese style, including grunge stuff since is the new trend, today i visit the Urban Planet but they were out of stock with the mom jeans.

One of my favorite spots for shopping in Sq1. You get descent quality dresses here. I often buy T-shirts, joggers, jackets from here.

The girl here is a legitimate class act, I think her name is Claira or Tara lol I'll have to ask her again, I'm pretty sure, she is absolutely incredible and she deserves a ten star if anything.

These employees need training, they tried to refuse my online order return 3 times. 1. They didnt know tshirts arent on their "covid items" no return list, you can accept returns for tshirts. 2. They didnt know what online receipts look like and kept asking me for my store receipt even though i didnt purchase in store. 3. They tried to force me to get store credit even though the return policy states that online orders can be REFUNDED. Its a good thing they ship orders to you with a printed copy of the return policy, i took it with me to the store and they couldnt refuse. Something that should have taken 3 minutes took 15 because they have NO idea what theyre doing.

Great selection of clothes, but definitely have to be careful. The quality of clothing is definitely a wide range. Jeans, hoodies are always great. Leggings are often see-through.

The workers at this store have horrific attitude problems. The checkout staff are impatient, fold clothes horribly, throw bags and items aside rudely, and do not provide helpful responses if you ask a question. Will never shop here again, or any other Urban Planet location, ever. The experiences leading to this review took place before the COVID-19 lockdown.

Best prices this year so far! $10 for most items, some summer gear but plenty of sweaters/winterfest too. Good stuff!

Urban planet in square one is a huge outlet, with tons of variety. They don't have as many accessories as Erin mills town but their variety of clothes is huge!

The prices are quite low especially when they have sales going on. The queues at the registers are LONG, esp on a weekend, so go in the morning on a weekend or on weekdays.

The staff is friendly and helpful!

I've taken off two stars from my review because ultimately they are a fast fashion brand and that's something they need to consider in their business model reforms. I'm sure their stuff is so low priced because they're paying pretty bad wages to manufacturers.

I don't see nor have I ever had a problem with the staff at this location - I see alot of people rating them poorly and saying the clothes is cheap. Firstly if it's cheap why you still buying from their other location (LOL), I have bought many items over the years from here and I never have any problems with it. I get lots of compliments and people are usually surprised when i mention i got it from this store. YOU GUYS CONTINUE BEING AWESOME WITH YA"LL "CHEAP" and affordable clothes. Much love xoxo

Awful customer service turned me away from this store. I was going to buy a couple of dresses but when I went into the dressing room an employee told me to “make sure you hang up the clothes” with an attitude. That’s when I left the clothes on the counter and went to another store that I knew would treat me properly. I used to come an buy here a lot but I’d rather be treated well and pay higher prices than the other way around.

I have been a big fan of urban plant and I regularly shop there. But the staff at Square One branch is rude and provided misleading information to me about the return policy.

When I wanted to return it they were rude and told me it’s final sale. I was not told it’s a final sale item.

Customer service for urban plant was even worse when I made the complaint. I’m very disappointed in the way they handled it. There is no point in emailing customer service.they are equally rude and dismissive.

Did not receive an item in my package during their Black Friday sale was told it would be replaced still have not received that either. No refund has been given. As well as no update or tracking information. What do we call that? Robbery!

Nice place. Clean and tidy. Workers and customer service is just on the spot. I enjoy bringing my daughter here to shop.

Overall the store was very neatly organized. I feel like some clothes were a bit pricy for the poor quality. Also, the change rooms were VERY TEDIOUS TO change in because there was only one hook that I had to place the pants and shirts I was trying on, AND my big winter jacket. Would appreciate it if they at least add a bench or something I could put my stuff on.

Went here to shop with my GF, always the same— cheap low quality clothing, ignored by staff, and just overwhelming when you need to find something. I’d rather shop somewhere else

The customer service level at this store is horrific. I've never been to a clothing store in Square One with worse service. Every staff member I interacted with was downright rude and seemed very arrogant. When I got home, I realized the cashier forgot to remove the anti-theft tags from ALL of my dresses. She only removed the ones on the shirts. I'm not sure why the alarms didn't go off while I was exiting. This has happened before to one my friends too at this location. This store needs to either re-train their staff or hire some competent people! Or maybe put the tags in an obvious noticeable place! I think customers should be compensated every time this happens.

To future customers, if you don't want to waste your time or gas money returning to the store, make sure you tell the cashier to remove all the devices and watch them do so, and ensure that they scan each item correctly too. I definitely don't go to this location anymore. The Urban Planet in Erin Mills or Dixie Mall is much better.

Had a TERRIBLE experience at the Urban Planet in Square One mall! An associate by the name Tiana/Tiona was rude, disrespectful and downright racist! I was appalled by her behaviour and shocked that Urban Planet even hires someone like this at the store! Is there even a proper screening done at the store during the time of hiring? Shouldn’t being a people person be the base minimum for a customer-facing retail associate? This person was the exact opposite.absolutely nasty!

They have huge stock to select from and always some or the other deals are ongoing. Good place to get stuff at a good price

A variety of trendy clothes that are surprisingly well made for the price you pay. Always worth a look as inventory revolves more frequently than other stores as well. Let's you achieve fashionable looks at budget prices and always seem to be having great sales. Definitely recommend checking it out. Try things on before purchasing as refund policy is exchange only.

I shop here all the time. Practically the only store I shop at for clothes. But each season lately it seems as though they're bringing out last year's gear.

Not good quality clothes but the price is good. I usually visit this shop when i go to square one and buy some clothes here cause many clothes have style that I like and they turn on the music and make happy atmosphere and have fun here, just one thing that I feel disappointed some of girl staffs not friendly at all. And some dresses just have large size and too big with me. I think they should have many sizes for ppl choose. When I asked them something, they just told me with lazy behaviors. That's not big deals at all but I still don't happy about that. But clothes here still pretty and good price with me anyway so I give 4 stars.

My favourite location! The music is always great and the girls are such sweethearts! I always manage to leave with a handful of items because they always have the BEST promotions. My whole closet is filled with sirens!

Horrible experience. I had to return and exchange some items from an online order I had made. I have never had issues with returns in store at any other location, but the Square One location gave me alot of hassle. They would not allow me to make any returns or exchanges and treated me like I was crazy and in the wrong or something. I left there with all the stuff I intended to return/ exchange and I was not happy. I contacted Urban Planet Customer Service and they immediately assisted me and apologized for my unhelpful experience at their Square One location. They contacted the Sq1 location and made sure I was able to make my returns/ exchanges. They also offered me a hefty discount code which I appreciated since I had to make two trips to the store and contact UP Customer Service before I could finally return my items. SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE AND VISIT ANOTHER LOCATION FOR ONLINE ORDERS.

2 stars only because some of the staff there were really sweet. Not everyone there treated me as if I was doing something wrong.

I can honestly say I am terrified of the staff. There were two customers in the same changing room and the staff was getting agitated, which I understand but the way they handled it was highly unprofessional. The employee was banging on their change room door and yelled at the customers, one of them just being a small young girl, the customers didn’t say or fight back. The employer claimed that the customers slammed the door into an employees face, which they didn’t because the employee wasn’t even near the door? The clothes and sales are nice, but I don’t think i am ever going to come back. The staff is too scary. Sorry.

Saw a staff yell at a little girl today. Pretty horrible. The employee could be hear yelling all across the store, embrassing.

Love the one wall of clothing but the other never appeals to me and that's fine. But the music is always too loud and the changing area needs a serious renovation.
