I had the honour of having Jamiena and Allanah as my primary midwives, we couldn't be happier and so appreciative of our healthy baby and amazing overall experience with our midwives. Jamiena and Allanah were both very knowledgeable and informative. Their kindness, encouragement and guidance put me at such ease to know that we were in the best hands possible. Throughout the duration of my pregnancy, birthing process and postpartum I’ve felt so supported, empowered and confident. We are forever grateful for the utmost care and dedication we received from UCM team and we cannot recommend them enough. We hope to be under their care again for any future pregnancies.

Jamiena was an absolute angel and I would highly recommend her to anyone! Even with all the complications I faced during my first L&D, she was there by my side the whole time. LOVE YOU JAMIENA!

Allanah and Jamiena are two of the most incredible woman in the world.
From beginning to end my experience with them was amazing. I had previous pregnancies with an OB that was not the greatest experience. The amount of love and care that Allanah and Jamiena give shows you how much they truly love what they do.
My delivery with Jamiena showed me how incredible the birthing experience truly is and I will forever be grateful to her!
Melanie is the glue that keeps the office running and is so kind! She even gives the best baby snuggles if needed at check ups.

The uxbridge community midwives provide unparalleled care and support. I have had both my children under their care and it has been wonderful! They always take the time to fully explain care options and what to expect in the stages to come and ensure they answer any and all questions I may have. They have an exceptional way of making you feel comfortable right from the start. I cannot recommend them enough!

I highly recommend uxbridge midwives. I had hoped to have a midwife from the beginning however there was no availability and I was put on the waitlist. At 34 weeks I was notified that a space opened up and they would gladly take me on. I had spent the first 34 weeks with my OB and appointments were 2 minutes long and not a lot of information or support. When I met with the midwife’s it was such a different experience. Our appointments were always longer than 20 minutes, I felt very supported and so much more information was provided to me. I look forward to having my second baby when the time is right!

Such a positive experience! I cannot recommend UCM enough.
This was my third birth - first one with a midwife. It was such a positive experience. Right from the beginning of my pregnancy each prenatal appointment was informative and was not rushed which was important to me. Team 2 - Tiffany and Jamiena were both patient, knowledgeable, friendly and kind.
During my labour and delivery Tiffany was amazing! She was so calm, compassionate and supportive. She really heard me during labour and what I needed, which was something new to me. Even my husband had such a positive experience and felt at ease the entire time.
Post natal care was great too. Tiffany checked in regularly and ensured not only baby was doing well but myself - something I had not experienced prior. I really felt that Tiffany loves what she does.
I wish I had went the midwifery route with all of my pregnancies. I am beyond grateful for the care and support of the UCM. <3

We had an amazing experience with team 1, and we cannot recommend them highly enough. Throughout my pregnancy, they were incredibly supportive and attentive. Answering all of our questions and concerns with patience and understanding. It made me feel empowered to make informed decisions about my own care.
When it came time for the birth of my child, Jamiena and Kailey were absolute rocks. Calm, knowledgeable, and compassionate, they helped guide me through the entire process with ease. Their expertise and experience were invaluable in ensuring that everything went smoothly and safely.
After the birth, they continued to provide outstanding care and support. They checked in regularly to ensure that both my baby and I were doing well, and they were always available to answer any questions or concerns that arose.
Overall, we cannot recommend Uxbridge midwives highly enough. They truly went above and beyond to ensure that we had the best possible experience, and we will be forever grateful for the care and support. If you are looking for a midwife, look no further!

I've been with Uxbridge Midwives for all three pregnancies and am so grateful. Tiffany runs this clinic amazingly and has an awesome team. It's so obvious they love what they do and I love that they respect our decisions when we plan for the birth and thereafter. I had the privilege to do a home birth for the third pregnancy and they did a phenomenal job. Thank you Uxbridge Midwives. You are amazing!

UPDATE: I’ve had my second pregnancy with UCM and had an excellent experience from start to finish. I felt educated, supported, and appreciated the time they took and never felt rushed or that there wasn’t time for my questions or concerns. Quick to touch base with emails as wells

As a health care provider, I was impressed at the degree of care, professionalism, and rapport established from the front desk to the end of each and every visit. UCM make you feel like family and can instantly make you feel informed and at ease about every step of your pregnancy and postpartum care. I was pregnant at the same time as 3 close friends/family and when they would talk about their OB care/deliveries, I was so grateful for the lengthy and thorough time UCM set aside for my appointments and that I always walked away comfortable with next steps and questions thoroughly answered. Alison at the front desk is incredibly organized, the student midwives were personable and excellent, and our midwives Allanah and Rebecca walked us through pregnancy and birth through COVID with ease. Special thanks to Allanah for her care during the birth!

A huge thank you to Uxbridge midwives! I was in their care for my 2nd pregnancy and despite covid, and being a smaller team than usual, they took excellent care of me and my new daughter. I really appreciate how hard they all worked to continue to provide exceptional care in trying times.

Amazing midwifery care! Uxbridge midwives gave compassionate, safe care during my third birth. They supported my birth each step of the way, providing clear explanations of all procedures. They fully supported my decision for a home birth and provided a safe place where I could be vulnerable while giving birth. The desires of the mother were taken into consideration while maintaining freedom of choice. I would recommend them to anyone considering midwifery care.

I was so fortunate to receive such amazing care from Jamiena at Uxbridge Community Midwives. She was knowledgeable and caring during all of my appointments. The best care I received was during my labour and delivery. She helped me keep calm during my labour and delivery process and I can’t thank her enough for it! The postpartum care is also really great since they come to your home after you’ve been discharged to checkup on you and baby. The care is much more personal and completely different from having an OBGYN. I would definitely recommend Uxbridge Midwives. I can’t thank Jamiena enough for the care she provided! I will definitely be going back to her for my next baby.

Jamiena Shah …this girl is phenomenal. Not only is she extremely knowledgeable, but she creates such an empowering pregnancy, birth and postpartum experience. In addition to her professional expertise, you can tell that she is a person filled with so much warmth and kindness and it extends into her care. Jamiena’s calm and collected demeanour was a staple for me through the later stages of my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care. I felt completely and wholly cared for by her and trusted her guidance every step of the way. We feel so lucky that she caught our little girl and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Jamiena & Tiffany are doing a wonderful job carrying this clinic through a midwife shortage…if we ever have another, we’ll definitely be back!

Uxbridge Community Midwives provided amazing care throughout my pregnancy, birth, and post-partum. Jamiena and Tiffany were supportive and caring, normalized and validated my worries and concerns, and answered any questions I had with ease. The care they provided via pager, in the clinic, at the birthing unit, and in my home was exactly what I hoped for when I chose to work with a midwife. I would recommend Uxbridge Community Midwives to family and friends, and would choose them again for a future pregnancy.

I recently had my baby in March of 2022 and had the wonderful Tiffany deliver her. She was extremely supportive throughout the entire pregnancy and I felt heard and supported with any concerns I had. She was prepared for everything at my birth and the process was better than I could have expected. Thank you Tiffany!

Simply the best people on earth. Both my girls were delivered by an UCM team and I could not be more grateful for them. My midwives were Rebecca and Allanah for my first, and Jamiena and Tiffany for my second. They’re incredibly patient and took the time to answer all my questions. I was recently discharged from them and it was one of the most bittersweet days. Knowing that I’m done having babies and will never see them again makes me super sad. I highly recommend them and would choose UCM for my pregnancy care all over again in a heartbeat.

Last month I had the pleasure of delivering my second child with Tiffany and her team at the Uxbridge Midwife clinic and I cannot say enough about how positive this experience was! I always felt supported during my pregnancy and post partum care, they were always available for my questions. Even when my birth didn't go to plan, thanks to Tiffany I was able to have a beautiful birthing experience for my son. Looking forward to working with the clinic again for my next pregnancy!

I cannot express how grateful I am to be a client of Uxbridge midwife. We initially lived in Toronto and enrolled with Toronto Community Midwife but then decided to move to Markham for a bigger home. After searching for a while, we were lucky enough to be accepted by Uxbridge midwife group. My wife is new to Canada, she said our midwife Jamiena and Elizabeth are literally the nicest people she's ever met in this country and believe me she's met lots of nice people ever since she came over. They showed so much professionalism and enthusiasm from the beginning to the end. I would recommend them to anyone I know without any hesitation over hospital OBs because of the personalized medical care and warm hearts. Thank you again Jamiena and Liz!

I had an amazing experience with the Uxbridge midwives, especially Jamiena. She was caring, kind and very knowledgeable. All my concerns and wishes were answered and I was able to have the birth I wanted. I gave birth at the AMU at Markham Stouffville hospital which I would also recommend. Their facility is outstanding.

I almost tear up when I think about how kind, reassuring, and hardworking my midwives were. SO grateful for them. Highly recommend them to anyone.

Great Staff, great practice! As a first time mom they do a very great job with offering information needed & easing the mind of the entire process. Just a wonderful standard of Healthcare not seen often anymore. The support is easy to access -& they are extremely reliable. A lovely way to experience such a monumental moment - definitely recommend!

We had an amazing experience having our baby boy at uxbridge clinic. Staff and midwives are very friendly caring and professional. Everything happened as planed, very smoothly and our baby boy came to this world with peace in a caring environment.

We had the best experience! I wouldn’t change it for anything. My prenatal and post natal care for me and the baby was priceless. Our team Rebecca and Allanah were amazing. We also had Maha as a student and she was basically like a 3rd midwife in our team and did an incredible job. Maha and Allanah handled our fast and furious delivery with ease and I felt supported and comfortable the entire process. We had OBGYN with baby 1 and midwives for baby 2. Midwives for life! I would recommend you guys 100 times over. Thank you!

The Uxbridge Community Midwives attended the birth of our first baby this March at Markham Stouffville Hospital. We could not have asked for a better experience. From the prenatal appointments (fielding my thousands of questions) through labour and delivery right to the at-home postnatal care (and a thousand more questions) they were amazing. Shout out to Elizabeth (and Lara) especially who was calm and reassuring even at 3AM.

My daughter was born under the care of Uxbridge Community Midwives and we couldn’t have asked for better. Through all of our appointments and while giving birth at the AMU I felt heard 100% of the time. They really made a effort to get to know our family and to listen to my needs and requests. I would definitely recommend them!

As a first time mom (during COVID), UCM was beyond helpful, supportive, and caring! I absolutely loved my experience with them and I am excited for my family to grow so I can work with them again! If you’re thinking about hiring a midwife, I highly suggest UCM. My husband was even blown away by the amount of support, and comfort we found in having a midwife come to our house for check-ups! They are all so so wonderful!:)

Great experience with the birth of both of my boys. They are kind and knowledgeable and they are all about the freedom of choice and educating you about your options.

The Uxbridge Midwives were awesome throughout my pregnancy, labour and delivery, and postpartum care. They really did take a great deal of time to educate me, answer my questions and support my journey. They were also really attentive with myself and my daughter after she was born. My particular labour wasn't as straight-forward as one might hope, but they did everything they could regardless and were so helpful throughout the changes that ended up needing to happen. Would highly recommend, and go to them again if I was having another child in the future.

Considerate, open-minded and inclusive care providers. Flexible to all birth plans and scenarios. Positive experiences of our midwife working alongside and in cooperation with specialists at Sinai and Sick Kids where necessary.

A friend of mine recommended Uxbridge community midwives to me after she had an amazing experience with her first baby. My experience with Uxbridge midwives was a phenomenal, I specifically had Elizabeth as my midwife and she was so amazing throughout my whole pregnancy and delivery. I personally loved how personable and welcoming they were everything. I definitely can't wait to have them in the future with my next baby. And after having an amazing experience my sister-in-law is currently using them as well!

Had a wonderful experience start to finish with UCM. My prenatal care was top notch. Plenty of time taken at each appointment and I felt very comfortable as a first time mom. Rebecca delivered my daughter and her experience really showed. It was a calm and beautiful delivery. Allanah did my postpartum care and again I felt I was in the best care possible. Highly recommend!

We loved our experience with Uxbridge Community Midwives! All of the midwives are fantastic and are true gems. They provided excellent prenatal and post partum care founded in evidence informed decision making. We found our midwives to be incredibly understanding and fully supportive of our birth wishes. It was wonderful that they were able to do home visits in the first week after baby. Would recommend them whole heartedly!

After my experience with the Uxbridge Midwives, I can't imagine being cared for by any other practitioner. They were kind, patient, and knowledgeable. They took excellent care of me and baby, including ensuring we got appropriate referrals when needed. Our appointments were never shorter than 30 min, so I had lots of opportunities to ask questions, etc. They enabled and empowered me to get the home birth I wanted. Thank you UCM!

I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect and beautiful experience than working with Elizabeth and the team of amazing Uxbridge Midwives. I always felt very comfortable, well-informed and safe in their very competent hands. During labour I felt empowered and so supported. Post-partum I felt nurtured and well-prepared.

I can’t say enough great things about Uxbridge Community Midwives! Rebecca, Marcie and Alannah were absolutely wonderful and I had such a positive pregnancy and birthing experience because of them. I was able to reach out to them day or night if I had a question or concern and they would get back to me right away to ease my anxiety and give me advice. The birth itself was actually enjoyable, as crazy as that sounds, because they were so supportive and calming. I can’t imagine having a baby without the support of these wonderful women. I used Uxbridge community midwives for both of my pregnancies. They were a fantastic support and I could not imagine having a pregnancy without them! I had Alannah and Rebecca for my March 2020 baby and they had a great level of knowledge and supported me throughout the pregnancy, delivery, and post delivery taking my well-being with high regard. I am so grateful for them and the amazing work they do!

Was under the care with my first one with the wonderful Uxbridge midwives (team 1: Tiffany, Elizabeth and Elaina). Despite giving birth during Covid 19, I received the best care and support. The in-house postpartum visits were god sent and really comforting as a first time mom when I know a lot of other midwives were doing online and phone appointments due to Covid19.
Highly recommend this amazing team for the care and support they provide to our community.

I have used Uxbridge midwives for 2 birth. I have 4 children Uxbridge midwives helped me achieve my birth goals and gave support above and beyond what is expected. If I was to have a 5 th I would definitely use them again. Friendly, loving, intimate pregnancy birth and post Partum care

What a caring team of midwives and staff. When there were issues I felt heard and my needs were met. The postpartum care is the best part: so warm and helpful. I felt accepted and and encouraged to make choices that worked for me and my family.

I recently gave birth to my daughter in April and was blessed with the support of this incredible team. All of the midwifes are incredibly knowledgeable and took time to answer many questions. I never felt rushed in any of my appointments, and I always felt in control of my birth process and supported through all of my decisions. I loved my labour and delivery with my midwife Rebecca, and truly can’t say enough good things about this practice! My daughter is almost 6 weeks and thriving! Amazing care. Elizabeth was my midwife and she’s wonderful. I felt supported before, during, and after I gave birth.

I had an amazing experience with them. They are knowledgeable in the care they give and they make you feel safe and cared for. I had Team 1 and gave birth at the AMU with Elizabeth. The best and calming experience ever especially being a first time mom. I highly recommend them.

I am so incredibly thankful for the care I received from the midwives here! I was so well taken care of during my labour (despite being a bit of a pill), and their post-natal care was great as well- they drove all the way out to see us at home in the snow! I recommend Uxbridge Midwives to everyone, and I look forward to seeing them again someday with my second!
