This place is a perfect example of a typical Indian Kirana (grocery store). Everything from grains, pulses, spices and frozen items are available. They have the largest range of Indian items including Idols of God, frozen food, fresh Indian snacks. The service and conduct of the owner is the cherry on top:)

I had a doctor’s appointment just across the street from this store. The parking lot was full so I had to park on the side street where this store is located. Now I was in no way in the market for Indian groceries or snacks but I thought that I should do some exploring. I popped in and the aroma of deliciousness invaded my senses as I strolled through the very well stocked aisles. All kinds of Indian delicacies were in view as well as many different ingredients to make there dishes. I have no idea how to cook Indian food but I eat it very well and I could tell that you could put together whatever you desire from the products on these shelves. I was a bit embarrassed that I could not think what to get until I saw huge trays of samosas and puffy things at the shelf. They looked really good and so I just had to take some home to hubby for his after work snack (that is what I told myself). The lovely ladies at the cash helped me choose the samosa that best suited my tastes and recommended that I get the accompany dip. Lucky for hubby that upon arriving home from work thee was still one samosa and half a puffy thing left for him. Yummy yummy yummy.

Has most of spices and snacks that needed by any Indian Household. A bit costly but does the job.

Best shop for all my needs. Kind and helpful staff. I've been going to Vaishali's Super Store since I was a small child. The owners were always sweet and kind to me. I always find everything on my list and the prices are the most reasonable I've found in the city. 5/5 recommend this shop.

Huge stock results in a real quantity over quality situation.

Went recently for first time and had a good/bad experience. Packed with many different items, and I mean PACKED! Every available space contains grocery items. Floor, walls, ceiling, no space is wasted. Obviously the owners have an eye for providing a vast spectrum of items, and they do really have a huge assortment, but therein lies a problem, and a fairly serious one. As others have pointed out, some of the items are seconds, damaged, or expired. There appears to be no reasonable way to keep a close eye on the thousands upon thousands of closely packed items, so quality takes a visible hit. I consider it a serious problem to see damaged or expired goods in any visible quantity in a grocery store.

Needs to be more organized. Otherwise there is no comparable grocery in the Ottawa area if you are looking for brands from India and the surrounding area. In my opinion, 10% less material goods could provide a more organized, spacious, and navigable store environment. Examine what you are buying to be sure of its' condition, pay close attention to prices on the shelf and at the cash when ringing up, and you will be fine.

Very kind staff knowledgeable I love there fresh frozen and rice flour ect very please over years they however do no label there Indian fridge prepared meals with expired date and have received off tasting and once bottle cap into me eggplant curry.there fresh food is delicious and well as there butter chicken. I always have to be aware and look for moisture in container before I buy. Other than that lovely fresh and delicious place for sweets and produce.

Authentic and excellent variety. Some items aren't price labelled be careful, my wife picked a savory snack, it ended up being potatoe chips from Kenya. They were tasteless and stale on checking my receipt at home I noticed we were charged $9.50 for 12 oz, beyond pricey keep an eye on it as they ring in the prices.

Customer service is very nice and friendly, they help and guide properly about groceries and most Indian items are available in the store, rate quite reasonable, quality fine, quick service with smile, Customers coming from distance as the grocery store is providing services since more than 40 years, that is why not only Indian but other community people are also visiting the store, it is the best known place for household purchase in Ottawa.

It's indeed a super store that offers all Indian essentials. We had visited this place 15 years ago, and revisited recently, must say this place has retained it's charm. Be it quality of the products or the pricing they have always offered the best. What needs a special mention about this store is the humane and considerate attitude towards their customers. I was extremely moved by the kindness they showed by delivering a low priced essential item home, even after closing time just to help me. Sincerely respect their thoughtfulness and helpful nature. Their ethics have proved that humanity and kindness is beyond monetary benefits!
