This is the best veterinary practice in Carleton Place. The kindness and professionalism is second to none. Pet lovers helping pet lovers!

I travel from Gatineau to specifically bring my ferret there as I know he's in very good hands.

Took our new puppy here for their shots. The staff is great. They were able to answer all our questions and are very knowledgeable. Our puppy is a bit timid, but they were able to get them to relax. I am very pleased with the service.

Just had the most belligerent and narcissistic interaction with a staff member. I was refused service and asked to leave for not wearing a mask (February 2023) no explanation other than “It’s our policy”. Owner hiding in the back refusing to talk with me. Called 3 other local vets, none enforce mask wearing. One vet gladly took us in right away after we recounted our unfortunate and quite frankly unnecessary experience with Valley Vet. I Felt punished for daring to ask a question. Adhering to Ideological nonsense is not a good business practice. I no longer trust Valley Veterinary Clinic to care for my pets.

I would like to thank Dr. Button and all the technicians who helped me through a very tough decision, the euthanasia of a family pet is hard, the entire group where sympathetic and kind, they kept checking up on me, I felt no pressure to rush through the decision, they have a separate office to spend time with your pet before saying goodbye for the last time.
I had noticed they have a candle on the counter with a note that if the candle is lit, please be considerate of what is happening to a loved pet at this time, which I thought was very touching.

Received a sympathy card signed by Dr. Button and staff which contained 2 papers with what I believe to be my cat’s paws print, which are now part of her little memorial.

Pretty disappointed with the experience I just had. I called Valley Vet to see about having my dog looked at because he’s injured and I mentioned that I live in Kanata. I was put on hold and when the receptionist came back, she said because I didn’t live in Carleton place, I couldn’t become a client. When I mentioned that it didn’t feel right to be denied care because of my postal code and that I will try to find another place to help me, the receptionist hung up without saying goodbye. I could maybe understand the rude gesture if we had a heated discussion, but we didn’t. A friend recommended this clinic but this experience has turned me right off from ever recommending them to anyone. It doesn’t cost a thing to be kind and non-discriminatory. Shame on you Valley Vet.

The crew is awesome and have looked after my 2 family members prior to adopting Sophie this time around.

They refused to look at my dog who had a hole in her after getting bit at the dog park. This was during regular business hours, and they wouldn't see us because we didn't have an appointment.

Great experiences overall. They fit me and my new puppy in to get his shots when even my current now former vet for my other dog was wanting 6 to 8 weeks to see a new puppy

Very unpleasant and unprofessional interaction on the phone. Poor quality customer service. I would not recommend. I was told I must pay the entire bill a week in advance through etransfer. I was told the rooms are too small that only one person could fit. The receptionist was incredibly rude on the phone to the point that I had to cancel the appointment because I felt so uncomfortable with how I had been treated. I will find a different vet to care for my loved ones.

I called for an emergency appointment and they were able to help me right away on the same day, even though they aren't my regular vet! Their staff is very kind, gave me good aftercare advice and took great care of my dog.

They coped with our 3 cats wonderfully! Although Mine COCO IS NORMALLY THE STAR I'LL LET IT GO FOR NOW! HAAA

From the first meeting and many after our dogs Hoagie & Gracie were cared for with compaction.

Took our cat in due to an eye issue. They we're very good at diagnosing the issue. Meds were provided ad well as follow up care.

Extremely professional and compassionate. They are willing to work around your pets needs, without making it feel like it's even the slightest hassle. One of my dogs is fearful and reactive to people she doesn't know especially in unfamiliar environments. On her first visit at this clinic, the tech and the vet were so patient with her and took it slow, which was great for my dog. Very positive experience all around.

Went in to get my Shih Tzu's eyes checked. A dye test was done as she has had conjunctivitis before. She has it again. Very thorough check up as well not charged for. A follow up call was received to find out if she was better. Great Vet!

Does not do urgent care for none clients.

I had just moved into the area recently when my very old cat got a swollen anal gland. This can be quite uncomfortable and can easily be treated with medication. Unfortunate that I'm not a previous client so now I must look elsewhere.

I would have been a client but the well being of my cat was disregarded when I tried.

It took us a while to find a vet and we are glad we found Dr. Rocheleau at Valley Vet. She takes very good care if our horses. Most importantly she takes the time to explain processes, discuss issues and answer questions. Only Dr. Rocheleau for our horses.
