Prices are insane for goods that’s are freely donated. They do not have change rooms forcing you to buy and inevitably exchange (still spending money!) when the clothing doesn’t fit. What a ploy. They’ve since added self checkouts because they don’t want to pay staff. Shop somewhere else that actually supports charity.

Typical value village. Nothing outstanding, but did pick up a nice Kenneth Cole reaction bag for 7$

I have been so many places to shop, and really satisfied, highly recommended with the service, store manager name is Sherlinne, she is really great with plus sales and give customer promotion for discount store program. Hopefully any store manager will be like her and knowledge working on customer service fields, thanks again!

I went here to look for an accessory for my daughter's costume and I was surprised at the amount of Halloween items they had, including what I needed for my daughter.
Staff was very friendly and there is a lot of parking.

I am not one for these types of stores but my sister went and said it was good. So, I decided to go and have a look. She was right. This store had quite a remarkable assortment of items, ranging from clothing, shoes, jewellery, household stuff, furniture, and even books. I found 5 practically brand new books for around $20. However, I found a spring/fall jacket that was totally my style but it was too small and the largest size they had in other jackets was a large where I take an XL or XXL. That was a letdown, but otherwise, a great shopping experience overall.

I routinely see things here with dollar store tags selling for more than you'd pay at the dollar store. Same goes with IKEA items like pots and kitchen items. Part of the point is to shop used and reuse things for the environment but it's frustrating to see. The books are also oddly priced as the cover price is used despite the age or wear of the book! There are some good deals like the kid's clothing bins and kids books but you have to be mindful when shopping.

This location is smaller than others so not the greatest selection in town.

Don't know where they get off charging almost new prices on stuff that has been used and worn. These places are supposed to be there to help people out not rip them off

I called this morning and specifically asked if they would take a child's race car bed Frame (no mattress). The girl that answered the phone said "Yes we do you can just drop it off" with no hesitation. After disassembling the bed, packing it into my vehicle and driving it over to Value Village Barrhaven I was told by the three guys in the donation drop off area that they do not take bed frames.
My recommendation is the staff that answer the phone need to be trained better. She literally just guessed or made up an answer on the spot which lead to a very poor experience. I wasted my time, energy and gas to get it over there for nothing. Super frustrating I donate so much to them but will now be finding somewhere else to take my stuff after being lied too.

This location is not strong for general merchandise or toys. I feel it's disorganized, yet clean. I bought clothes despite recent pricing.

I recommend just going to the Marshall's near by to get better clothing for the same price. This place gets their stuff for free and yet they charge as if it is new. I wish the prices were more reasonable because I want to buy used clothes for environmental reasons. However, I cannot justify buying raggity, wornout clothing for the same price (and sometimes more!) than the sales rack at Marshall's.

Well organized but the problem is the items is a way over priced, all of the items they selling is received by donations, so the need to reduce there prices a little bit

I really like shopping here for gently used items and deals on higher end stuff. The prices can be a tad high sometimes, but if you compare the retail price for the item it’s always at least halved. My favourite thing about the store is that there are many price points for all kinds of shopping needs.

We both an item and unfortunately it did not worked because it was broken. We went with the item to return and one worker agreed to exchange for other items, at the cash the girl call her manager Jammie who was a nightmare making big deal for the exchange.

She did not understand the situation and started to scream acting like a junior girl, that for sure she has not training to do a job as a supervisor.

We suggest to talk with the manager and Jammie make a big tantrum, such unnecessary scandal.

After a big scandal she agreed to the exchange making recommendations to us.the next time you must be.bla bla bla, I said the next time we don’t come back here, and she candid said! Awesome!

I nightmare supervisor.

Super grand magasin! Très impressionnant! On a trouvé pleins de choses intéressantes dont pleins qu'on ne cherchait même pas!

Compared to two other locations of Value Village in Ottawa, I really like this one. One can find many very high quality-semi new stuff. I particularly have found nice, semi-new shoes and even ice skates here, for a very good price. The home decorations and toys also have nice stuff, generally less antique looking in comparison to the others (Bank and St. Laurent).
There is one small complaint. I felt a smell I wasn't happy with close to the men's clothing area (jackets). I'm not saying the cloth is not clean, but I just suspect not everything is necessarily washed as one expects.

I know it's the day right before Halloween but I was there just a few minutes after the store opened, and the Halloween costumes were a mess. There was supposed to be racks for men, women, children but it was all mixed up and random pieces everywhere. Couldn't even be figure out what what was available. Also the store seemed to have a ton of people in there, and nobody following any kind of social distancing or the arrows marked on the floor, so I was constantly way closer than 2m from multiple customers even though I tried to keep my distance.

I hit this store quiet often.its a pretty good one.they get so much inventory that the diamonds slip through the cracks now and then.
04 May 2020 6:10
They used to have racks of children's clothes but now they are tossed in a bin and the selection has gone way down. Also, they thinned out, pun intended, their plus-sized section.

This place has everything competitively priced an amazing selection. If you can't find what you're looking for it's because you don't know what you're looking for again they have everything
15 April 2020 17:22
Love the selection of stuff but prices are rising and some of prices of bagged goods in the showcase are more than ebay.
04 April 2020 1:51
Lots of good stuff but it's becoming overpriced in my opinion. Also it's my understanding that while they do donate to a charity, they are still very much a business, which is why you pay tax. As opposed to a true charity.

We learned that Value Village is a for profit organization generating billions of dollars annually for their shareholders. The donations they make to the communities is a tiny fraction of their income, though kost of us donate clothing there for a cause.

It is a large store with lots of amazing clothing options, mostly for women. The prices can be higher than other thrift stores but donate or join the super savers club to get coupons. Majority of my closet is from here, yet people tell me my outfits look expensive! Shop smart, take your time.
14 February 2020 5:27
Good for books.but it's not a place I'd donate too. Better options out there to keep your donations helping those in need.not to profit from them.

Of the Ottawa Value Village's, it is the best. Very clean, especially for a thrift store (minus the toys.but what do you expect?). Good media section, knickknacks are better than most places, and clothing is usually in excellent condition. I would say this location definitely benefits from it's community around it. With a general higher income in the area, donations are usually of good quality and in good condition. Most of my best Value Village finds have come from here, including quite a few brand new items! Customer services is also usually very good at this location.

Great place to find some interesting treasures, or clothes with lots of life left! Prices are a bit high on some things tho.
10 October 2019 4:33
Pretty typical thrift store, lots of household items, books, clothes. Known for their Halloween costumes and low prices, if you bring in a donation to the side they give you a 20% off coupon for in store purchases. This one is colocated in a large complex with a Costco, liquor store, Tim Hortons to name a few. Easy in easy out, lots of parking.

I love this place because most of the things in the good qualities and useable. I really enjoy shopping in value village.
22 September 2019 12:29
Scam artists. Their money barely even goes to charity. Such a small amount goes to charity please please dont shop here. Do your research so many better organizations to gift things too.
16 September 2019 23:42
Clearly good value if this is your thing. I know kids that love going to get deals and some of the stuff people get for the price is impressive.
01 August 2019 10:35
Really not the best Value Village location. Items are way overpriced and only two registers opened on a busy Saturday with long lines. Stittsville location not too far from there is way better.
