No change rooms, can’t get a refund if you buy something to try it on at home and it doesn’t fit.

A perfect place for inexpensive and good shopping. You can find new or almost new items in many sizes. The shelves are organized, everything is tidy and even nice. I recommend!
09 October 2023 5:45
The prices have gone up a lot. Nice place but it's very costly for 5 things it costs like 70 to 90 bucks sometimes.
28 August 2023 19:50
Prices are so high that it is cheaper to buy brand new at Walmart. They are supposed to be a helping business but no, they are all about money and dont care about the poor and homeless. They are heartless anad crooks.
10 July 2023 3:53
For donated clothes, the prices are outrageous. I can go to Walmart and get new stuff cheaper.
14 June 2023 11:38
No fitting rooms n most or their clothes are not proper sized and they will only give u store credit on other clothes that u spend as much for as new clothes at retail stores so stop being over priced on stuff that was donated to you
26 May 2023 8:35
Decent selection and a clean store.

No fitting rooms and questionably polite staff.

The one lady with the short hair at the front is awesome.

The prices are absurd but that can only be expected.

Not every time I go there I find a sweet deal, but often enough. Been looking for fish tanks to upgrade my two 10gal.picked up a couple of 20s for $40.that's a great deal.

Was able to get a computer cord for my boyfriends sister's husband's medical Machine for 3 bucks cause they forgot it so I'd say that's a win
04 September 2022 2:16
Prices are high
Sadly for a place in which donations are given their prices are extremely high
01 September 2022 19:50
Hit or miss with this store, sometimes you find a deal but most times high prices on second hand items
11 July 2022 7:15
I spent $83.00 for used clothing that I otherwise would have bought at another store brand new. Value Village is supposedly a thrift store and non profit
06 July 2022 7:29
Need changing rooms. I understand before in the middle of covid but now they should have them.
Other then that great service, good selection.
17 June 2022 23:16
How is it even possible that they are charge the same prices as brand new clothing?
I'll be going to any other local thrift shop in the future, at least their clothes aren't ripped, stained or other wise damaged and outrageously priced!

PS Value village is a for profit organization. It states so right on their 20% of your next $50.

Spacious, clean store with great staff. I always find more than what I'm looking for. You have to know your prices as some are an incredible deal whereas others are over priced but it all balances out. Always happy with my purchases! Its too bad they're not bringing back the change rooms.

Always enjoy this dollarama, has a big variety compared to some of the other stores here. I also love the self checkouts here! These self checkouts take cash and not just debit/credit!

Five stars for facilitating the reuse of good stuff so that it doesn't end up in the landfill. No stars for overpricing stuff they get for free. Five stars for awesome workers. That averages out to 3 1/3 stars.
28 March 2021 11:26
I like the whole concept of diverting from landfill, creating employment, making clothing more affordable for people with less financial means and / or perhaps more creatively inclined! It's like a little treasure hunt every visit. In my experience, staff have been welcoming and friendly.

Overpriced and an out of service washroom for many weeks. Told to go to the grocery store next door!
03 December 2019 13:13
For used things this is getting a little ridiculous. Some sweaters were like 20$ hit up goodwill across the river for much better prices
25 November 2019 5:41
Well not much service there that's for sure.ask for help and I'm told to wait till Tues when staff comes in and their prices r profitable for sure.
23 November 2019 22:20
I donated items and they over price everything.l thought l was giving items to help people not so value village could rob them.
16 November 2019 8:41
Everything is way overpriced considering everything is Donated. Who ever runs Sault Ste Marie location is very greedy.
26 October 2019 5:22
This is a well run store with a good turnover of inventory. One needs to drop by frequently in order to find new treasures.
24 October 2019 5:09
Their service is very good as well as staff is helping to new students from other countries. Love this place
21 October 2019 1:58
Halloween costumes are in and if you're creative there is an assortment of off beat clothing to make your own.
03 October 2019 23:38
The prices are criminally high. Go somewhere else for second hand, somewhere with a good cause and not a greedy corporation. I used to love vv too, they got greedy.
30 September 2019 9:16
This store reeks of B. O.none of the clothes are washed ever! And some of prices are higher thank the store it came from new. Sad really they clearly just want to line there own pockets. If you read this And want to donate go to helping hands or a local shelter. And helping hands washes the clothes. Cheers!
28 September 2019 11:35
I actually enjoy coming here and looking through the clothes a lot. I don't enjoy how much the prices have jumped.it's way too high.this company is getting rich off of donations, when there are so many people who struggle to afford clothing and other necessities.it feels like you're now walking into a regular store, not a discounted store.
04 September 2019 0:01
Lots to choose from. But the prices are a bit high. You can find similar products for bot much more in retail stores.
02 September 2019 20:53
For a place that gets clothing for free. The prices are the same at a retail store if not better. Rather go to the salvation army.
17 August 2019 19:39
Their prices have changed over the years, I find they are far to high for the average low income family to afford easily
29 July 2019 3:55
Adventures in shopping! Take some time, bring a friend or two and comb through the magical treasures for your next big find. Staff is great, very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Prices can't be beat, especially on higher quality finds. Best way to have fun shedding the fast fashion mantle of slavery and discover a style that is uniquely yours, won't break the bank and is guilt-free.
29 July 2019 3:35
The prices are way to high, when everything is donated for free the prices should be lowered extreamly! People go there because they are lacking sufficient money to live a standard life. This value village needs to make some exceptions for less fortunate people. $$$ way to pricey!
14 July 2019 5:55
Value village is always a fun place to shop. The amount of treasures you can find, if you're looking hard enough, is unbelievable.
07 June 2019 21:05
Customer service was terrible. Employees were standing around talking while i and 3 other people waited to be checked.
04 June 2019 4:19
Good variety of kitchen and household items.lots of decent quality clothing and shoes. The staff is friendly and the store is kept clean. I am however disappointed with the prices hey charge for many of the items in my opinion prices could be a lot cheaper considering they get 95% of their inventory for free. All in all it’s a good place to shop to find some unique stuff
27 May 2019 3:03
I love Value Village. They have a great mix of used items. If u want name brand for cheap, go here. They have so much inventory. Everything from kitchen to bedroom, from toys & collectables (sometimes a nice hidden gem) to hardware & electronics. They have change rooms so u can try anything on your going to buy. The staff are very friendly.
11 April 2019 4:26
It's a good thrift store that claims to be charity-based. Lots of jobs for the local community and a great way to help others in need. You can find designer clothing for pretty cheap here as well as pretty much anything else from couches to keyboards and you name it.
