As you know I hate value village because I think there pricing is out off wack for the fact they get it all free! But this valuevillage at Davis Dr and Yonge st is a great big store with lots of quality stuff. But still over priced!
17 July 2023 18:20
Overpriced used clothing that they got for free

No change room to try on clothes
Can only have a store credit with returns or exchanges

Absolutely ridiculously overpriced for quite terrible/outdated items. Go to almost any other Value Village location or thrift shop - hell, even retail stores in some cases - and the prices will be much more appropriate and fitting. This place used to have great prices which made their products worth it - this isn't the case any longer. Whichever individuals are in charge of pricing items at this location should be trained and understand that garbage should not be priced like gold. Where did the "Value" go in Value Village? Bring back the deals! Not sure if this location thinks they're special or something, because they're truly not.

You will be much better off going to Mission Thrift Store or The Salvation Army Thrift Store nearby where you will truly get the value out of used items.

Great selection, prices are reasonable, staff helpful, and the store is clean. No change rooms at all; no refunds - only store credit.

All Value Village locations have been jacking up their prices. The stuff is used and donated. Stop overcharging and help keep stuff out of our landfills. Did you know that whatever they don't sell gets thrown into our landfills? Why not price lower to encourage more sales and ultimately less to waste? I am not a reseller but even if the reseller wants to flip the product you would still make a profit as you would move so much volume. Ultimately be greener too.

Over price
Use to be a place you could go to save some money

The price are comparable to Walmart
New or used same price how does that make sense

Would recommend going to a small Smaller thrift store don't waste your time I value village paying too much

Terrible corporation.gets all its items for free then puts eBay prices or even more on them. No returns, doesn't even pay their taxes to the Canadian Government look up value village lawsuits too
04 December 2021 18:22
The return policy is not fair. People should have this right to take the items back to the store on the condition that the items were not suitable. I hope there will be a few pragmatic solutions in the near future. However, the boots I bought are nice and practical with reasonable price.

I paid $12 for ladies new snow pants. Now when I fall, I won't be as wet.
Friendly staff.

Value village thinks they are competing with other retailers, they are forgetting what they are. Prices are sometimes is more than you buy at actual store at the end of season.they are becoming greedy as more people shop there because of economic situations shame to the company

Poor service. Rude sales lady. Wanted to pay for the painting and pick it up the next day as it won't fit my car. Told them i will rent a van and pick it up but they won't let me. I ask to speak to the manager but she said she is busy. As a paying customer at least i want to feel accommodated.

I always find gems in this store and walk out a happy customer for under 50.00$ and a big bag of clothes. I definitely recommend this store to someone who wants to build their wardrobe or spice it up a bit. I also like to browse at the selection of books while I'm here if I have time. There's so many to choose from and from all sorts of categories.labelled and organized for our convenience.

If you're a senior then on Tuesday you can get 30% off but otherwise $20 for for an old bread bread machine I'm not sure goodbye especially since they get all this stuff for nothing and the executives they're making big bucks

Always been my favourite value village.handling covid measures very well, arrows & signs to maintain distance & limited customers in store.
22 March 2021 23:51
The people here are very helpful and always very polite. The store has a great selection of good used products at reasonable prices. It's an excellent spot to find retro and old style products.
05 March 2021 16:41
Huge Value village with a large variety of clothing. You can really find cool things here but I noticed it tends to be a little pricier than other value villages I’ve been to which isn’t that great. The service is amazing though and the employees are so sweet. It’s very clean and definitely one of my favourite value villages.
28 February 2021 16:03
The prices are too high for thrifted items and you have to be diligent in looking for zippers that won't stay up or are broken, as well as holes, tears, and damage. If it has an expensive label on it, you can be sure it's expensive even if it's plain, worn-looking, and old.

The most beautifully organized VV is in Peterborough Ontario. This one in Vaughan is in a fairly affluent neighborhood so the products are generally good quality. But there is room for improvement in how small items are packaged.
01 January 2021 7:29
Yes, there are a lot of good quality items, but you can buy a new T-shirt very expensive, for example, Tommy Hilfiger for 6 dollars, and in the store it costs 12 very expensive.
23 October 2020 13:13
Pretty good place to find almost anything you could be looking for, great selection of items. However they are pretty pricey considering all their items are donations, sometimes find things so expensive it’s almost better to just buy brand new from a store

This location Value Village is a great spot to visit for low cost clothing and gently used toys and shoes for family. I always find exceptional options for my family every time I visit. Keep in mind, you do have to do some digging. I would maybe suggest adding more changing rooms but overall I always enjoy going to this location for clothing for myself or my two kids. I can take my time and find the best quality items for $ to $$ decent price point every time. I myself prefer to get just clothing and toys for the kids but it is worth the trip every time especially if you are signed up for email notifications on special discount/sale days.

Highly worth the trip if you are in the area and need gently used items of clothing for the family.

They kept someone, at the front, glass counter; so, it was easy to be shown things, from inside the case. The store was bright and clean. I even finally got to use some points I had accumulated, off of my purchase price! Cashiers were very nice.
02 May 2020 18:45
So you spend $100 as a supersaver member to EARN a discount. This allows you 20% off a purchase of upto $30. If you use the discount and need to exchange an item that was broken.heads up you now lose your discount. What a great policy? ! And be careful because IF their computers are working and you want to know your points balance they might also tell you the points expired eventhough your next reciept will show otherwise.expensive location & rude staff. If youd prefer to not wait in lines & also pay no tax.head to the friendly salvation army store in the same plaza. They give a $10off any purchase over $25 coupon with any donation. Thats 40% off! Value village supersaver discount is just 4.6% and only if those items work! Happy thrifting:)
14 April 2020 2:49
Stopped in on sale day, but, the prices are very high for a resale store, many items can be purchased new on sale for the same price
23 March 2020 16:29
This isn’t a thrift store. The prices are so jacked your better off buying the clothes new. Bunch of money hungry pigs
12 March 2020 0:47
I honesty recommended people donate their items to the legit non-profit charity thrift store - Salvation Army beside this Value Village in the same plaza.secondly, is not even a thrift store anymore, I would say they are a second store, I’m not sure why the price goes up so much (each item $2 up) they said their pricing system was the same.in addition, compared another value village stores, their price are much higher.and they Value Village recently opt out for Bulk Jewellery packed, and it was fun to check out the bulk pack, but they don't offer anymore, Newmarket location jewellery is higher than anyone else.

Most of the staffs work there are very nice, only one manager pretend she knows the best and try to proof herself by putting down customers, i didn’t say a word and remained polite & understanding.

There must be insecurities going on with her try to proof her self better, I’m really disappointed! Her attitudes & reaction are unacceptable! And unable to solve customer real problem, try understanding what the customer truly needs.
24 February 2020 15:18
No carts have to walk my 3 kids.hold 2 of them plus 3 paper bags of clothing.lost everything on the ground while people are driving by trying not to hit my kids. GREAT PLACE NOT!
24 February 2020 2:34
OVER PRICED! You're guys stuff is donated to you which means no cost.clothing is clothing or so it should be when shopping in a thrift store!

I do have to say this location does have a great selection though!
18 February 2020 9:27
Nice large bright place.organized and fun to hunt for deals.way better than the greedy needy one in Woodbridge.
12 February 2020 9:12
It's a great value village! I always find decent pants and shirts every time I visit. Keep in mind, you do have to do some digging. I wish they had more changing rooms but that's the case everywhere. Sometimes it can get a little busy with the cashiers
06 February 2020 10:12
Personally I love thrift shopping. But the prices at value village are ofter very very inflated considering they have a 100% profit margin on each sale for the fact all their product is free as it's from donation. Dont get confused. Value Village is a buissness. When Goodwill was around I'd never step foot in here. But now theres no other options
01 February 2020 22:32
Greedy prices! I caught a pair of FAKE, used True Religion jeans priced at $34.99! I saw three other pairs of used jeans on the same rack also priced at $34.99. This is truly unacceptable, considering their inventory consists of free donations and bulk clothing purchased by weight. The Newmarket location is the worst in York Region for inflated prices and mediocre service. Once the old guy out front refused to punch my donation card twice for the two bags of clothing I was donating to the store (for free). You have to collect 10 punches for a modest 30 percent off one purchase. He said the bags I was donating were "too small and only deserved one stamp combined". I just smiled, thanked him and took the bags of donations to the Salvation Army thrift store in the same plaza. There I was thanked for the free inventory I was giving them and provided with a coupon for $10 off $25 purchase. Im staying away from this value village.
24 January 2020 21:22
Lots of of good quality clothing and housewares without the retail store prices. I like the clothing better than the mall stores!
22 January 2020 23:29
Great for the environment! Great for the pocket book! In one door, out the other. I consider I rent everything I own. Lots of treasures. There's a Sally Ann in the same mall and a Bible Thrift store two streets south on Yonge. Green painted building.

My daughter and I had a disappointing experience. My young daughter bought a ring from silver section for not a cheap price, but when I checked with a jewelry store, it was just a piece of tin.
When I went back to store to return it a not a polite young man said that they won’t accept it and when I asked to talk to manager he pretended to be him.
I got my lesson, I’ll never buy jewelry from that store (Newmarket) again.

Great help.
I went in needing assistance with building my Big Bad Wolf Grandma Costume and the help I recieved was much better than the competition.
18 November 2019 15:20
Hate to cut up a donation place.but prices are sneaking up there. Let's get real.it is donated stuff.jeans should be jeans.just because someone donated a higher priced pair of American Eagle jeans for example.doesn't mean you have to charge 4 times as much as other jeans on the same rack.so in essence, keeping the less fortunate in the less fortunate category. I think someone who was really hurting for cash would find it difficult to be able to buy some of the stuff. Just my opinion.
10 October 2019 10:13
Great for good clothes at great prices. I didn't find what I was looking for specifically but I could have bought a bunch of other things. Their halloween/costume/accesories section is pretty awesome!

Favorite place to find great brands for less.
Some items you have to watch as the retail price tags are on and the price is lower than VV!

Interesting place to go to. A great place to purchase work clothes. I operate a construction business, and am always
destroying clothes. Recycliing clothes is
great for our environment!
The service was friendly, viewing the well maintained merchandise was easy and the prices were great. I got the idea from my son and certainly will do it again.
21 July 2019 16:35
I don't care too much for Value Village. You do get some deals. Depends on what you're looking for. I prefer the Vallye Village in New Market better then the one in Richmond Hill. I dud get some great shoes & bags like new.

Came from Toronto to check out a few thrifts in the area but didn’t find anything. Its a modest sized location with an equally modest repertoire, haven’t spotted any brands, its practically all nonames, stuff like George, Reitmanns and Joe Fresh, and vintage for those who are into that.brownie points for friendly staff that keeps the location in order (practically nothing on the floor!) and for reasonable prices. I’d say no reason to check out except if it’s in your way.
