The Little Pink Trailer inside the nursery is a lovely spot for a quiet relaxing cup of tea or specialty coffee.

Have employees that know their stuff. I called this morning and a young girl picked up I asked her if you guys still have any cedars left to do planters with specifically I asked for incense cedar and she said yes we do have them they are $13.99. When I got there they had nothing in stock. Waste of time and gas as I had to drive 30 minutes to get there.

Make sure you make time to browse the houseplants.

I love this nursery. The plants I buy here do so well. And the selection of pots and planters is the best I’ve found:) They have unique plants that I can usually return and find every year:)

If you're looking for soil for orchids, they have it available. There are also Thai props with elephants for your garden.

We have spent over $800 this season alone, and decided to buy 2 hydrangea trees on 14 & next day wilted. Brought them back on the 19 was told we "killed" them & would not exchange. I would have to keep them for 1 year? An associate named Avery then came over said she would exchange them and offer no warranty because "we killed them. " I asked her if she's actually saying we killed them & she said Point blank"yes" & walked away. 2nd associate started return on a gift card asked her to conf w/Avery. Avery then returned & said " return it, just don't come back! "
Worst customer service, treating loyal customers like garbage. I will never again give them my business.

Plants, gardening materials, flowers everything is available here, many many choices too. Affordable, spring must visit place.

Great place to find the varieties. Rich collection of plants, huge space, little bit pricy though. Good to go and check.

Awful place to shop, there employees just through the plants on the ground and.kick them into place, I watched this go on the WHOLE TIME I was in line, their staff was very rude and not polite, NEVER ever will I go back there. STAY AWAY from Vandermeer! WORST garden centre EVER! Never I have I been treated with such disrespect from employees in a store!

Vandermeer is a great choice for plants, the fish and turtles were an added bonus at the back! It isn't the most organized place and it is slightly difficult to find certain items but the staff were always willing to help and they were super friendly.

I WILL NOT SUPPORT any establishment that requests my medical records.
Very frustrating shopping experience, no knowledge, no common sense, very liberal. Had enough of it.

Would love to see more of an emphasis on native plants to help out our pollinators. They should be front and centre not stuck in the back corner.

The selection is quite large for indoor and outdoor plants and supplies. The staff are always happy to answer your questions and help with large purchases. They also carry, gifts, garden decorations, pool supplies and host special events.

Great place for plants! Sadly their collection of succulents and cacti are practically non-existent during the summer months. Guess I'll come back during the winter, not interested in flower planters.

Love this place. So many variations of plants, super nice employees and you can bring your dog in while you shop.

The staff are extremely knowledgeable, they have a wide selection of things there and if they don't have it in season they can guestimate how long it will take for them to be in season they are extremely well priced.

Lots of options, a little overpriced. They also sold me multch than was opened, used and full of water so I had to clean my trunk.

Garden centre with amazing variety and things you will not find elsewhere. Some things are a bit more expensive but that is made up by the giant selection and amazing organization. Also great help and advice from some very dedicated employees when you need it.

The pond is my responsibility both in and out of the water and the grass. My wife does the gardens, urns and boxes. We overlap where weeds are concerned. We can get EVERYTHING here: fish, chemicals, hoses, pumps, plants, fertilizer, landscape rock, wind chimes, statues, and ADVICE - Pay More / Get More

If I could make a suggestion put a proper coffee stop in the store. Charge for the coffee than DEDUCT it from our bill.

Great nursery with lots of selection and plenty of staff to help you. I was looking around for gooseberry's for sale in the various nursuries I the region - all of them had none - this please had 4 varieties!

Hands down the best garden centre in Durham region. The selection, quality of plants and service from staff is unmatched. We will definitely be buying all plants and flowers from here going forward.

Usually my "go to" place for my plants. I find it spacious enough to get around with a cart. A good selection, although I would like to see more native plants.

Amazing place for buying plants and landscaping material. Very friendly staff though weekends early in the summer are very busy for them. Have been in business for over 50yrs so they are the best in the east.

Wide variety of plants that are in excellent condition. Staff is knowledge, friendly and available to assist. Guarantee policy is really nice too.

A little pricey but the selection and quality is very good. Some plants even have a money back guarantee. Crowded on the weekends so go prepared.

For years I've been going here for my Christmas tree. I am always looking for trees well over the max of 8 feet that most places offer. I don't want to pre order a tree as that takes the fun out picking the "perfect" tree. At Vandermeer nurseries they always have a good selection of trees in the 12 to 15 foot range. Also a great selection of flowers shrubs etc. Year round. Worth a visit!

I love going to Vandemere with my wife and my mother. They are so happy there it makes my day. Excellent selection, fantastic koi and helpful staff.

Vandermeer Nurseries is iconic to the Durham region. It's grown from a store front operation when I first moved to the region 40 years ago, to THE place to shop for all gardening needs. We drove out today just to feel a little Springtime in this cold winter weather. The place was buzzing

Great place to go just there are a LOT of people so it's crazy insane but it's pretty and has the largest amount of plants I've ever seen

I have attended the annual Victorian Afternoon Tea for a number of years, and always enjoy the day, spending time with friends among the plants and flowers.

Always love coming here, great selection of plants in the summer and christmas stuff in the winter. So beautiful and reasonably priced.

Extensive range of perennials and annuals, trees, shrubs, etc at a reasonable price. Great sales through the year on popular items and end of season items. Tropical and other indoor plants galore. Also sell koi carp, turtles and pond supplies, including plants. All your typical garden centre supplies.

I truly think you have to be miserable to work here. If you hate life and your job then this is the place for you.
If you manage to get assistance and find what you are looking for, getting your products across an unpaved parking lot without destroying any of your purchases, then you are doing better than I.

Love Vandermeer always go to their Christmas open house.the trees are gorgeous and so many unique ornaments to choose from.

Vandemeer is a great place to get all your gardens wants and desires & for this time of year a great place to get a tree!

I live Vandermeer, especially this time of year, so festive. The planters were a bit too pricey for me. $99 for a small planter with 3 birch sticks? No.
