Those young men who work there are polite and helpful. Even the store owner is also a hands-on guy; I saw him swipe the floor himself. Customers there are also shopping in a way to help maintain display items tidy and ordered. Overall speaking, this store stands out from other Nofills in most aspects. It make one's shopping a pleasent experience. A 5 star rating. Keep it up, team VanSpall's.

Absolutely scrupulous about cleaning carts and separate areas for cleaned or used carts. Courteous security and friendly cleaning staff. Cashiers fast and friendly. Store well maintained

I am just writing to complain about the rudeness of the employees of the garden centre. They have extremely poor customer service and I hope this is not indicative of the rest of your employees. I will not be shopping there again and I am rethinking about shopping at the store as a whole.

First time going here and I liked it a lot compared to my local no frills. It had a huge variety and well stocked. The only reason I took a star away was for the fruit section it could be a bit better

Great friendly staff, and good selection on produce. I would opt for the self checkout line as it’s usually faster than the other lines. The store needs to improve their process on PC express orders - they have only recently started it at this location thus will probably take them some time to get it in order.

Too many people in store. Was not able to distance properly. Not enough inventory. No attempt by staff to monitor proper customer movement through the store. Will try another store next time.

Very well stocked, fresh produce, easy to find items you're looking for. Helpful staff. Lots of parking. They could add more self check out lanes.

This is the best No Frills I've ever visited. The manager is ever present on the floor. The store is so well organized and items are current, the shelves always stocked, it's clean and a pleasure to shop. The cashiers are friendly and the wait time is short. Thank you for all you do!

First time in a Nofrills. Signage and markings not visible for checkouts, cashiers were rude/unfriendly and a lot of shelves were empty. However, the merchandisers were friendly and helpful. The stars goes to them.

This Nofrills location is not doing good. When they have special sales on rice ($10 for AAA Rooster 8Kgs on September 2020), there is never any of that rice available until the sale is over. I’ve been to the store right when it opens on the first and third day of the sale and their supply is always non-existent but somehow reappears and is fully stocked once the sale is immediately over.
They are also very strict about the quantities that can be bought when the items are on sale. For example, this location puts a limit of 6 per family on carnation milk on sale this coming week but at another locations on Highway 7, the limit is up to 24 for the same product or even no limit. Very inconvenient and customer service is awful. Poor management. Waste your time. Not Suggested!

No Frills was great, not busy. Directional indicators, as well as crossed out section for line ups with social distancing stickers. Hand sanitizer available at entrance and like most places it is very very liquidy so press with caution. Parking lot was also not overly busy. Their pharmacy is the best for seniors, they are supportive and responsive to all calls and inquiries. If a prescription was sent to the wrong location they will get it sorted out to fill your prescription. They also have a program where they deliver your meds directly to your home every 15 days.

I went to the self checkout today and the employee that was standing there was watching me like a hawk. She assumed I wanted to steal something I guess, and she did not watch any if the other customers that came up. I spoke to two of the other employees and they said that she does this often to people of colour and people do complain. She is also a supervisor who for some reason doesn't wear a mask. I spend so much money in there every week, very disappointing. I guess it's best to spend my money somewhere else.

This is the store closest to my home so had made a conscious decision at this time to shop only here. I have not once seen any Lysol cleaning products, disinfecting wipes, hand sanitisers. The store management doesn't limit purchases enough. It should be 1 item per family, a clerk told me today that families come together and purchase 2 each. This kind of behaviour should be discouraged. This is the same store that allowed the disgraceful "corn incident" last summer. Now I have noticed there is a sign asking customers not to peel the corn, problem solved. I hope they keep this sign up permanently. People will follow directions if guidelines are set. Another issue is they allow drivers to park their cars all along the front entrance wile waiting for their passengers to shop inside, blocking the cross walk and putting their shoppers safety at risk. It wouldn't take much to solve these issues. I really would like to keep shopping local, but if the management doesn't start solving these issues I will have to go elsewhere.

I used to go shopping at this grocery store all the time but I'm not going there anymore. The arrows on the floor stresses me out. I understand they are trying to keep the social distance among shoppers but forcing myself to follow the arrows makes shopping experience much more difficult and much less enjoyable.

I have been shopping at this store for 9 years since 2011. The food is usually fresh and the price is very reasonable. Most staff are nice, although I did have one very unpleasant experience with one of them a few years ago, I continued to go shopping there because I didn't think it was fair to blame the store just because of one cashier's rude behaviour.

On the day when it was announced that all the schools would be closed after March break, I went to this store to shop for some food that I had to use the next day. I waited in line for about 30 minutes due to the unusually large amount of customers on that day, after I paid for my groceries, I gave the cashier a $5 cash as a tip, because I knew all of them had to work a few extra hours on that crazy tough day.

Today I went to this store to shop again, and was glad to see that it wasn't busy and I didn't have to wait outside the store. As soon as I went in the store, I noticed that there were arrows on the floor, telling people which direction they were supposed to go. I tried to follow the arrows as much as I could, and then just when I was loading some food into my shopping cart, one staff told me: "You have to follow the arrows on the floor when you shop". I looked down on the floor, there was no arrow in that area where I was standing.

Since there are so many grocery stores close to my house, I have decided not to shop in this store ever again, because all I want is a relaxed, peaceful shopping experience, and I'm not getting that from there anymore.

I like the store clean and not too busy
I can always get the on sale items here too. The cashiers are nice and friendly. Easy to find parking in this Plaza. And in this Plaza there's McDonald's.very good no frill here!

I have been a customer here for years.

The VanSpalls team has being doing a great job managing the challenges of the past couple of weeks. The store was well organized and clear directions provided regarding where to line up to pay, while ensuring the right social distancing.
I can't imagine the challenges the entire team is facing. From doing their best to stock shelves, help customers (some very stressed out ones no doubt), to worrying about their own health and well being, and that of their families that they return to at the end of a grueling day.
Gratitude and THANK YOU to the VanSpalls Team. Way to go!

This No Frills used to be dead place. But after new management change, I believe 3 years back. This store know far better then any grocery store in that area. Lot of variety of products catering to different ethnic groups. Good display for promotion items with enough stock. Produce section is also good and prices are good too.

Bought this beef at this nofrill today, March 21st 2020. Cut the beef in half.and found WORM in the beef! Freaked out the hell. I think i''l avoid buying meat from nofrills from now on.

The self check-out is a bonus when you only have a couple of items instead of waiting in the express lane.

You will get all variety at good prices. Be prepared for big queues for billing during weekends. Or better go late in evening

Super well-organized No Frills. Well stocked with all of the necessary items. A good selection of organic and Specialty items despite being a No Frills. Much better prices than the local Loblaws! Bring your own bags!

As the name would indicatebitbis a no frills grocery store. It has all the basics and is clean. There are a good selection of PC products which is nice as well. On the down side the aisles are narrow and navigating the store when it is at all busy is a pain.

Tons of products I haven't seen in years, along with stuff I only thought you could get in the states! Super clean, friendly and helpful staff. Aisle after aisle of pantry-filling goodness!

Competitive grocery prices, decent produce although haven't been satisfied with the meat here especially beef. Expect lineups at checkout, it's a busy spot.

Before I moved up here I had a no frills very close by as well. Basically down the street, as is this one. However the services are completely different.

Service as always been a make or break deal for me. I can tolerate mistakes that cannot be controlled. But I checked out and this lady cashier told me that they do not accept visa. I only brought my visa from my car as I was coming in literally for some quick ingredients that I forgot to purchase at an asian store.

Never had I ever had an experience like this.

What made it over the top is that she said " we have never accepted VISA for over 10 years". Mind blown.

I do not come to this location ever. I will drive 20-30 mins to my original no frills if I must.

They have self checkouts now. Cool. But the machines made a loud noise like a bird chirping loudly. You will notice it throughout the store.

This store recently added 5 self service check out units. Cashier employees likely lost one day of work because of this. Still, I do most of my shoppong at this location. Fruit and vegetable display units have now been upgraded to what you see at the Loblaw stores. "The Dollar Store" aisle has been eliminated, instead there are now organic products etc in its place. Higher profit margins for the store no doubt. Personally I like it. If you pay your anual "Insiders" $99 fee (PC MasterCard) you collect an extra 20% in Optimum points for all President's Choice Organics products. I used to save up $100 dollars worth of points to pay for my once a year top up for my PC Telecom cell phone. Now, however, since they don't allow me to buy the top up with points anymore, I cash in the points the moment I have $10 dollars worth. I say show me the money! No point letting the points accumulate.
Once a week I drive up to Souffville to get whatever there is on sale at the Metro or Giant Tiger store. Also, to get gas for the car (would prefer an EV but it makes absolutely no economic sense so far!) at the Shell station where the price is always 3-4 cents less than in Markham. Did I mention getting AirMiles points at both Metro store and Shell station!
Okay, there is also a Food Basics store just north of the NoFrills. Good to know if you're home late and missed out because the NoFrils store closes at 9pm. Food Basics closes at 10pm! Often I price match at NoFrills so there is no need to go to Food Basics. So, shop early. And shop at NoFrills where the price is right.

The store is way too crammed and rarely has good products in stock. A lot of the employees stocking shelves are incredibly helpful and kind but the cashiers are less than acceptable. Usually rude and never greet you with a "hello, how are you? " Or other polite customer service greeting. Usually they just say "want bags? " The Express lane is never actually an Express lane, so many customers come through with at least 25 items in their carts when it clearly states 1-16. Express lane cashiers or management should enforce this.
Tl;dr the only reason this store isn't getting a 1 star review is because the employees who stocking shelves are amazing but cashiers, stock availability and express lane need a lot of improvement.

I enjoy shopping here, it is clean, bright and well stocked. So much cheaper on name brand products. Plus I can get my PC Optimum points there too!

Today after checkout, I just forgot to put entire of my groceries in a cart. I guess my mind was somewhere else. I left and reached my car. Then I realised that I didn't took my groceries after I paid for it. I went back and took my groceries from the counter where I left it. I was so surprised and disappointed at the same time as grocery clerk didn't ever bother to call me when I left and didn't say anything when I came back to take it. Well, now you know why walmart's customer service is the best. WORST customer service EVER.
