Can't speak highly enough about how great everyone here is. They do great work with my pets, they're kind, they're flexible, and it's clear that everyone I've dealt with loves animals.

No one ever wants to go to the vet, but I always walk away feeling like it was a positive experience in the end (even if my cat Adele is mad at me for taking her outside lol)

My family and I have been using Barrie Veterinary Hospital for more then 40 years. I honestly cannot count how many animals they have helped us with over the years. Very warming welcomes and knowledgeable staff. Very thorough and informative. They even saved one of my dogs lives by finding a squeeze on her spinal cord and getting me setup with a specialist for spinal cord surgery. I cannot thank them enough for what they have done for my pets!

Your animals will be taken care of very well if you bring them here!

VCA is a prime Example of people that care for animals. They saved my cat shadow's life, he is now 100% better. Thank you Vca for being a truly caring place for animals.

Really great vets, reasonable prices. My dog gets her shots, parasite prevention, ear infection treatment here. They also found a tick on her during one visit and were able to remove it.

I have been beyond impressed with Dr. McIninch. She is extremely kind and knowledgeable. She takes her time during the appointments to address my concerns. The staff at the front desk are always very kind and welcoming. They go out of their way to greet my dog and I. I have worked in two vet clinics myself, so I have high standards for vet clinics and VCA Barrie has exceeded those!

We have always been treated kindly and professionally here. We recently had to have our cat euthanized and this clinic was so patient and compassionate. The process of cremation and selecting an urn were made very simple. All the staff here are wonderful. Very accommodating, honest and fair. Thank you to all the staff who helped us say goodbye to our sweet cat. Highly recommend this clinic.

What an incredible experience at VCA animal hospital today! We brought our little chihuahua in because she had a small cyst between her toes that looked puffy and painful. We made an appointment for the same day (today), and we waited in the waiting room for 45 mins from beginning to end of the visit. This vet hospital was the only one open on thanksgiving Monday, and they were ready to help us. Absolutely incredible, kind, compassionate staff. The doctor explained everything and answered all our questions without rushing us. The exam fee, considering it’s an emergency visit, was extremely reasonable - $145. I absolutely recommend this place to anyone, especially in a pinch! Thank you SO much again for helping our dog and making us feel so welcome! 5 stars!

Terrible experience booking a groom with sedation for my cat as a first time client here. To start, booking was 4-6 weeks minimum which we were ok with waiting for (this time).
I received 3+ confirmations that changed the appt time each call (?), and NO information was given to me about fasting my cat prior to appointment.
20 mins before the suspected appointment time and we’re about to leave, the secretary calls and cancels because the groomer wasn’t coming in and it was my fault the cat wasn’t fasted either. No effort to apologize, rebook or take responsibility for their lack of communication or care. “The manager is out for the week and will try to get back to you when they return”…
As a first time client with a very anxious cat, this whole experience disgusts me and their lack of effort or consideration is noted. Thank you for wasting our time and a day off work. Do NOT recommend! Such a disappointment.

I brought in my 10 month old puppy to be neutered, I received a call part way through the day from an employee asking if my puppy had his rabies shot. I had thought that was strange, as this was our regular vet. I received another call after he was stable and ready to leave. When I picked him up I could instantly tell something was wrong. My puppy was acting strange, after further inspection I notice a large gash to his neck about 4cm long. I believe he was attacked while in their care. When I questioned them about what happened, they denied anything had occurred. Since the incident I switched vets, and now that I want records of my dogs past, I am having difficulty retaining any records that he was neutered or his rabies shot. I personally would not recommend 200 Bayfield street.

VCA is great! The Vet was able to give me prices for the procedures before they happened and was able to set out a action plan for each one to minimize expense.

Took my pup for first visit. Amazing getting to deal with such a lovely staff. Great customer service and very attentive to your pet. Great safety protocols as well for covid does both curbside and in person (1 human) per visit with pet. Would highly recommend a great place to take care of your animal when they need it the most.

As new residents to Barrie, we were so happy to be able to find a local vet for our cat. This clinic is so professional, courteous, clean and truly cares about their animal clients and the owners. I couldn't be happier with our new vet and will continue to bring our animals here for years to come. Customer service goes a long way these days and they put their clients first. Thanks guys!

First visit, was recommended by a friend. I LOVE u Dr. Mudde. He explained what the reccommended vaccines were for and why he was reccommending these vaccines for my 2 dogs and their face/breathing shapes. Ones a boxer and other is a pug/Jack Russel. Did not rush through the appointment, and answered all my questions. Dogs were very comfortable with him and his assistant. Even though both dogs are overweight (I know) they did not hold back on the treats.
They have a new "CLUB" they are promoting which sound perfect for my needs and my fixed income.

My pup was spayed a few days ago. Drop off went well, the procedure went well, they made note of a few things i should continue to watch that we were unaware of so i felt great that they did a thorough exam, she was monitored all day i was given updates. I was so pleased. Our baby girl had some complications, as any dog can have, with the anesthetic and they offered for us to bring her back immediately, but since i was able to give her water we opted to see how the evening went. She did not do very well overnight so i brought her back and helped her recover the next day. When i picked her up she was back to her perky little self and she is doing well. Her incision is perfect and i am so happy for the support they gave us. The office manager (Lori) was patient with my overly attentive motherly ways, the Tech explained everything on both occasions when i picked up our pup and made sure i knew what to expect and when to be concerned. I used to envy people who worked with animals but then i realized they actually have it worse as they have to deal with the animals human parents:) I am thankful for the care they gave our pup and would highly recommend!

Staff are caring and competent. Unfortunately they are now owned by a corporation and are forced to "sell" which is pressuring you to do extra tests, buy extra stuff and in our case they wanted to charge an additional 24 hours for my cat's care even though he had not been there for more than a day. They did not charge me for that and it was the computer system, but still. Again vets are good and care is good. It is unfortunate that the environment is now sales-y.

My daughter had her cats go here.so I brought my kitten here that wasn't the healthiest coming from a barn. They took really good care of him and after one visit he was cleared up of his ears, fleas and worms. Second visit everything was really good with him and healthy. The veterinarian is so nice and talks to you like a real person. Also it wasn't that expensive. Staff is great there.

I have been taking my 5 pets to this clinic for six years. In that piriot my pets saw three different vets. Two of the vets mad unnecessary mistakes that cost three of my pets a lot of pain, and I am not talking about the extra cost. On top of it one of the vets her bed manners are really not to be desired.
Mistakes are part of life but, when the person that makes them is ignored it is unacceptable to me.
Today I am moving my Kids to a new clinic.

Have been using this vet service long before it moved to bayfield street.and found first class care and compassion with each vet I have dealt with. My one cat is currently under the care of Dr. Merryn McIninch and I am delighted in her knowledge and interest in animals in general not just as a case load. Would recommend this clinic 100%.

Top Notch Veterinary Hospital. They've helped me & my dogs over the years so much it's hard to say. They're friendly, caring, & knowledgeable. They've helped with diet when my dog developed diet-related problems. They saved my previous dogs life when he needed emergency surgery. They even helped me with get a funding grant (through the Farley Foundation) to help pay for the surgery when I couldn't afford it.

Appointments are always availible with in a few days of you calling in. You can stop in as often as you want to weigh your pet free of charge. Friendly staff all around.

Dr. Mudde and Staff are incredible! They’ve been a part of our Dog’s life for 11 years and counting. Thanks to a couple very successful surgeries over the years we wouldn’t have been whole without the super great folks at the Barrie VCA!
