My experience for the past four years has been wonderful. I’ve always felt that my cat and my dog are very cared for. Thank you to the team and doctors for their continued patience with me and care and kindness with my pets!

My 10 year old boxer went days without eating, I contacted VCA Jackson creek animal hospital and from the very first phone call to the end of the journey a week later they were nothing but 5 star amazing to work with. Kind, caring, the vet was knowledgeable and informative and provided options, they moved things around to accommodate our appointment schedule and once the difficult decision was made to put him out of his pain they set up a wonderful room with candles, tissues, dog treats and a warm fuzzy dog bed so we could say goodbye in the perfect setting. The admin staff and technicians were all fabulous to work with. I highly recommend this vet clinic! Thank you all for what you did to help our family, we will never forget how you made us feel.

Have been using this vet for 2 yrs now. They are always friendly and professional and have never had an issue.

I started bringing my cat to this vet in 2021, I found her outside so she had a couple medical issues, the major one being hyperthyroidism. They ran blood tests and told me that normal thyroid levels are between 10 - 51 and my cat was close to 200. They started her on 0.5 ml of medication twice a day, she was on the medication for a year and a half and there were absolutely no changes, she kept getting worse, and I talked to 3 different vets who work there and none of them knew what they were doing, they wanted me to bring her to a specialist? Finally, I said enough is enough, my cat was dying and I needed to do something. I decided to send my cat to live with my parents in New Brunswick where they could take her to their vet down there, long story short, they ran the exact same tests and told us that she was a day away from a heart attack that’s how high her levels were, and started her on 2.5 ml TWICE A DAY, and after only a MONTH her levels went down to 30! She has already gained a pound! I have never felt so much anger towards a vet clinic before, if I would have continued at this vet my cat would most likely have passed by now. Over 2000 dollars spent at this place and there was NOTHING to show for it.

First time visiting with my best friend. He was severely hacking! They took us in within 2 hours of calling.
A couple different meds and we were on our way.
A week later, he's back to himself again:)

Best of all was the daily follow up after the appointment, calling us to see how he's feeling. Jackson Creek Animal Hospital is my new veterinarian.

Last weekend I had to say goodbye to my senior cat, he had kidney failure and went down hill quickly last weekend and our regular vet was closed. This vet hospital was phenomenal through it all, they took me right away. Super kind, compassionate people and you can tell they really care about the animals coming through. They gave me some paw prints and a couple days later I received a hand written card. Thank you so much for everything. If they are accepting new clients I highly recommend, I will be switching my own animals over!

We had some bad experiences at another Vet Clinic but I am so impressed with this place. The staff are great and my dog was loving all of the attention she was receiving. It was obvious how much they care about their customers (both the two legged and 4 legged kind) and I am so happy that we have switched to coming here.

Strongly advise against going to this Clinic. Brought my cat in for skin issues. First vet identified it as Feline AIDS. We did a biopsy which costed well over $1300 and told that our cat has to see a dermatologist with lifelong skin medication. We went to a second clinic for 2nd opinion, only to find out it was a simple flea allergy, easily curable with a small dose of medication. This establishment is trying to use the health of animals/pets to make money. Highly recommend you visit another vet like Sherbrooke Heights.

I lost my 13 year old mini dashound and was devastated. Unsure of what to do I called Jackson Creek vet. They were very sympathetic and guided me thru the needed steps. They were very considerate and kind. I very much appreciated there help as I was overwhelmed with grief. Thank you

Amazing and empathetic staff!
We recently lost our elderly Cat and were greeted with nothing but love and support to say our final goodbyes! The staff at reception helped us so much! We were at a loss for what to do and she kindly explained multiple options! Reception walked us through all options and listened to our voices 100% without any undue pressure. We will 100% choose to come back with our other animals! Of course, a sad experience but they couldn't have been more professional and empathetic!

I wouldn't recommend this place my German Shepherd has has $1700 in medications from this weird acting veterinarian and has never got any better. I wonder if there is someone I can file a complaint too on my dogs behalf.the guy can't even determine what her problem is.just a bunch a blabbering about money and cost.

The staff and Dr Thompson are amazing.so caring. My cat has an open sure on his face and I knew he needed to be seen. They took him in as soon as possible and gave him antibiotic needle and steroid needle to hopefully clear it up. Dr Thompson didn't rush my appointment.she made sure I understood everything. My cat went to her right away. She was so kind and gentle. Thank you so much for everything!

Jody is great, always wonderful. Unfortunately my last visit was an off putting experience with a different vet. Turned out to be an injury not neurological causing allot of stress and conversations with his specialist. Fortunately the technician explained how to bandage his legs to prevent them from rubbing letting him heal. I've had some great vets over the years, I've been using them for over a decade.

Start to finish an absolutely terrible experience with Jackson Creek. The vet who examined my dog that was just there for his annual wellness exam & heartworm test made me feel like a bad mother for giving my dog “antiquated” heartworm pills after it became clear to him that he wasn’t going to sell me on the more expensive medicine he was pushing. Was told on the Friday morning of our visit that my dog’s Heart Guard would have to be ordered and would arrive Monday. An entire week went by instead, with no communication from the clinic to let me know what was going on, and finally on the following Friday when I called I was told they were “on the truck today, we’ll call you after we unpack it”. End of day came & went, no phone call. I called back Saturday asking AGAIN about my dog’s meds and was told only 4 of the 6 came in, we’ll have the rest Monday. Why wasn’t I notified? Monday rolled around, the clinic calls and says “you had some questions about this medication you would like answered? ” No, I WANT MY DOG’s Heart Guard that was prepaid and we’ve now been waiting a full week for after the date you promised they would be in. “Oh, we can go ahead and order them for you. ” Excuse me? They were then rude on the phone to the clinic I asked them to transfer my dog’s file to, where I finally ended up getting his Heart Guard. The day of his exam when they created his new file they recorded his name spelled wrong and put down the wrong date of birth for him. Totally incompetent, huge waste of my time and I will NEVER deal with them again.

This is the Vet service I use for my cat and will be using for any animals in the future. They also double as an emergency vet clinic which was a big selling point and why I went with them in the first place. They are friendly and very knowledgeable. When I found out my cat had a heart condition they worked with us to find the best possible solution so that I was still able to get him neutered. 12/10 would recommend to anyone with animals

Love this vet clinic. Always happy, pleasant staff, truly the first vet my old boy Henry ever seemed to not mind. Had to refill prescriptions last minute often, and they were almost always ready to pick up a couple hours later. We had to make euthanasia arrangements last week for him unfortunately, and they were so good with everything. Not only was it inexpensive, but they were very sympathetic, didn’t rush us, and offered to make a paw print card for us as a memoir. They made an extremely difficult day a little easier on us. I’ll be happy to bring my other animals here for years to come. Thank you Jackson creek for everything you’ve done so far for us! From our Heavenly Henry, Lucy & Mia

We bring our 2 dogs here for regular visits. We always have an awesome experience. The customer service is outstanding and the care they take with each animal is amazing! Highly recommended for anyone looking for incredible animal care!

I use this vet on and off. Had to take my cat in as an emergency on April 1 and was told he needed medication and they would order it. Called 3 times to check on medication status and was told it wasn't in yet. I called again today April 10 and was told they never ordered the medication. 9 days my cat has needed this medication. He's between 14-16 yrs old and sick. I won't be using this place again. So very very annoyed and apologies mean ZIP!

If I could leave zero stars I would. Absolutely horrible vet with terrible care. Don’t tend to the animals in a timely matter, which ended up costing our dog his life.
A staff members cat getting neutered was more important then tending to our dog. We had to literally sit there and pump oxygen into him by hand because they wanted to get to staff members cat neutered before their shift ended.
Ignored our dogs infection, finally four days later when he was on his deathbed they took what we were telling them seriously and took him in for a second surgery and when they opened him up his insides had rotted and copious amounts of fluid poured out.
To top off their unprofessional and terrible service… when we went to pick up our dogs urn/ remains we got out to the car and it wasn’t even in the box.
Vets like the ones at Jackson’s creek shouldn’t be allowed in business. Report them to the Ontario collage of veterinarians!

I would give Jackson creek vet a solid 0/5. They were our vet for 7 years until our dog passed away. During that time the care was mediocore and quite expensive. When we had to put our dog down they asked if we wanted prints of his paws mailed to us. We put down that we wanted 6 of them so we can each have one. We also noticed they had the wrong address on file so we ensured to make the proper corrections in order for the prints to be mailed to the correct address. Well 6 months later and we called them up and they said that the prints were sent out to the incorrect address. They even acknowledged that the correct address was on the sheet yet it was sent to the old one. Jacksons creek has left a hole in our hearts as we were all hoping to have a little part of our Zeus in our wallets and pockets forever.if you care about your pet and want a professional vet do NOT go to Jacksons creek. My family will forever regret going to this vet and nothing will be able to change it.

Absolutely terrible service. The vet misdiagnosed my cat saying that she either had cancer or FIP and was suggesting I may have to put her down. Hearing this I was in shock because two days earlier my cat was completely fine. They said if I wanted to figure out what exactly it was I would have to do all of these test was was close to $900. I agreed to do a blood test and go from there. I came back a few hours later and she said the blood results weren't good but wouldn't explain to me what exactly everything meant. I wasn't just going to put my cat down without trying to treat her first so they gave me antibiotics. They suggested I come back the next day to put her on an IV because of her critical state. The vet said that she would need to be there for 12 hours and gave me a quote. The quote had a charge for a 24 hr stay which I was not going to pay if she only needed to be there for 12 hours. When I brought her back the next morning, the quote was completely different and went from 200$ to almost a $1000 because the other vet did not include the medication. Something really didn't feel right so I refused service and brought her to another vet clinic for a second opinion.

Turns out all my cat had was a bladder infection. After two weeks of antibiotics she was fine. Not only did they misdiagnose my cat but they had made me feel like a terrible pet owner for not wanting to spend money on all of the unnecessary tests and treatment.

Had an emergency, and thank goodness they were there, provided overnight care a day were providing constant updates! Hopefully we don't have to go back but if we do, I'm sure we'll be in good hands.

The staff are very friendly. But all but 1 vet I have spoken to seem to hardly speak English. You can tell that they can barely understand the questions you are asking and you can hardly understand the answers they give in return. It's extremely frustrating.

Fantastic service, kind staff, and thorough vet. I went in with my rabbit and they made sure to check him for everything! They ran tests, clipped his nails and still gave me a great price for the appointment. Thanks guys!

We had to put our beloved Ben to sleep and all the team have been so caring and kind, they truly care about you and your pet.

I took my kitten there they did an ex ray blood test and sent blood away to determine if he had fip, which he did a fatal internal disease, i was there no more than 2 hours the bill $1370.00, anyone with half a brain would agree with me that price is outragous, anyone reading this just know that if you go to this place your going to get RIPPED OFF!

Dr. Jodi Thompson is one of the best vets you could ever ask for. So kind and confident with the animals, very welcoming and always honest about prices and what is best for your pet. We've gone to her specifically for several second opinions and in the end she always has made the right suggestions. All the staff are very friendly and hardworking too.

Everyone was very nice here. But they sold me a probiotic for my dog that has written on it "not for individual sale", for that reason I felt a bit taken advantage of. Besides that everyone was very nice and were knowledgeable

These guys helped my multipoo "Marley" out.
She was suffering with a viral infection possible spider bite.
Same day appointment on a Saturday and waived the consultation fee of 100.

The administration staff and technicians are very nice but the doctors are total scammers. Try to add on extra tests and costs at every visit. Also their English is very poor so it's difficult to communicate with them. Bad business practices.

They have always given us and our dogs the very best of care. Our Jenny would not be alive without their expert and caring ways.

On Xmas Eve, we brought our dog to say the final farewell. He had been suffering seizures that became more often and more intense. First, we had a consultation and a plan for treatment (to try everything possible) ; things turned for the worst as we were leaving, resulting in the worst seizure of his life. Our beloved dog was only 3, and a best friend to our son (2). Jackson Creek was WONDERFUL. We cant thank them enough for their professionalism and compassion. Even after the event, they sent a card with his paw print, and later made a donation to U of G in his honour. Its definitely not easy saying goodbye to a family member, but the staff sincerely were "there" for us from answering the first phone call, to greeting us, to advising and then saying goodbye. They gave us as much time as we wished before, during, and after and they truly truly care.

I genuinely cant think of a more calm experience. He departed in the best hands and I know he's up there eating all the treats.

I had a seriously ill cat. I called, and they took care of him till his last breath. Seriously a good place to go.

The vet assistants and the vet were excellent and extremely sympathetic with me when I had to put my dog down. I would recommend them to everyone

I just buy my cat food there but they are out of stock a lot. Super nice people working at reception!

Poor communication all around. My bill was almost double what they quoted me for 2 simple spays for young healthy animals with no complications. I asked that they don't do blood work on my cat, and they went ahead and did it anyways and charged me $300 for it. After the spays, I took my animals in to get their checkup, and the vet refused to examine my one cat because she tried to scratch him.

Hectic front desk.seems unorganized. Booked an 8: 30 intake to get cat fixed and she was left in the back with noise, no food since the night before because they dealt with emergency drop in. She did not go into surgery until 1 or 2. Very upset. In the end however her surgical process and recovery went very well.

I, unfortunately had to make the decision Saturday night to euthanize my beloved girl, she was an 11 year old lab, she had cancer and could barely walk, she took a turn for the worse within 24 hours, it broke my heart to see her like this. Her usual vet was 2 hours away as we had recently moved and being Sat night, everyone else was closed. I called and explained the situation, they were very understanding and said I could take her in right away, when we arrived, one of the girls came out to help carry her in, explained everything to us, told us to take our time with her, there was no rush. The vet, the techs, everyone was fantastic, very professional and compassionate. I would definitely take my other pets there, no question. Their rates were cheaper than elsewhere as well.

Took my cat, Isis, here to be put down after 18 good years of life. The staff were extremely compassionate and respectful, they didn't rush us and let us take as much time as we needed. They made everything easy and painless for my family and for Isis. They sent us a condolences card filled out by hand in the mail with a clipping of Isis' fur and prints of her paws. I couldn't have asked for more.

We had to put our beloved fur baby to sleep over the weekend. We had planned to go to our regular vet but she had deteriorated over the weekend and we knew we shouldn't wait. We called Jacksons creek as they were the only place open on the weekend and the person who took my call was wonderful. She was so empathetic and made sure to ask our dog's name so she could address her properly. When we arrived we were greeted by the most wonderful person who was so caring, empathetic and lovely. She talked us through the procedure and made sure we were always comfortable. Each person who helped us or was at the desk was kind and comforting. They gave us as much time as we needed to say goodbye and we never felt rushed. This was the hardest thing to do but everyone there made it just a little easier. I cant thank them enough and we will be switching vets for our cat.

I switched vets from out if town to Jackson creek.

I booked a spay surgery for my 7 month old kitty and I dropped her off at 930 am on dec 2nd 2020. I got my cat back at 8pm. I called and asked what the hold up was with her surgery and they had nothing to say really as to why. My cats wound from surgery didnt look right and I should have went back the next day. I paid 400$ for her spay and meds which I was fine with.

I was also told that my spay cost included any follow up within 10 days no charge.

My cats stitches came undone and her insides were exposed.

They did take her in right away but charged me an additional 280$ for an laceration suturing. Unfortunately the staff made me feel like it was my fault for not keeping her quiet enough. They were very nice but I also had a hard time understanding why I had to pay for a botched stitching job.

I will be switching veterinarian services immediately!

And after sharing my experience on facebook I am not the only one that has experiences horrific moments at this clinic. Most to do with dying animals.

It's a great place to take your pet when they're in need of some physical help at least with my cats

Runs thousands of dollars worth of tests for my cat to get worse. They took advantage of us not being in the room during covid by saying they checked things they obviously didn’t. Took her elsewhere the same day and they found a cancerous tumour on the back of her tongue right away. Just money grabbers and rude staff. Please don’t bring your animals here.the new owners are horrendous and this place shouldn’t even be open.

Honestly everytime I deal with this vet I'm left frustrated. I most definitely would not recommend Jackson Creek Vet.

Appointments are, generally, quick to book. I find the actual appointments can take longer than you would think. Pricing is above average.

Didn't listen to what the symptoms were. Prescribed a medication that didn't work at all and wanted me to pay for another checkup

We use to have great dealings with them. But the transition from previous owners to corporate came with shortcomings. Our last few visits were just terrible. Over charged for our Bulldog on medication far beyond the quote provided. Did not send an referral information for our Boxer cross during an emergency visit where we had to be sent to an emerg Opthalmologist in Newmarket. Vets are always different - most do not speak English well enough to communicate concerns/suggestions/advise. Super disappointed with how things have changed here. Would not suggest using them for your pets.

Very awesome friendly and very respectful animal hospital cheaper then most and took great care of my dog after hours emergency i would recommend this animal hospital to anyone needing help with their pets very well done VCA thank you so very much amazing at what they do stay safe

Excellent staff and Dr. Siva is very nice and knowledgeable! Great first time experience my two cats were actually happy here and felt welcomed by the girls. No unnecessary medications or shots! Only what needed to be done! I really like the fact that i got to come into the exam room with my pets!

I have been going to Jackson Creek for 20 years. It began going down hill after Dr Bastien sold it. Since that time, I've never seen the same vet twice. The staff are constantly trying to get you to purchase expensive tests that are usually unnecessary. When I boarded my cat in the past, this petite kitty came home terrorized. The last straw happened earlier this week when I took my 15 year old kitty in because I suspected she had developed kidney disease. I had to leave her carrier at the door and speak with the vet by phone. Ideclined the $100+ blood tests, the $$ urine test and the $92+ (30 ml) medicine that MIGHT help. I bought special food, 3 cans and a 2 kg bag and the exam $165+. The WORST part was that they sprayed her carrier with some kind of disinfectant and she spent 2 days licking her fur and barfing.

I've been bringing my animals here fo a while because of one great vet I experienced my first trip. Unfortunately subsequent trips saw the exact opposite experiences. Rude, rushed and vague. When the phone rings, it's always to put you on hold, even though three girls are sitting at the front desk, sharing personal stories. Brought my cat in with an infection on his foot. We returned 6 times for test and treatments and exams. 8600$ later, I bring him to a new vet who advises he immidiatly be put there are plenty of other options. Please save your pet and your wallet.down as he was suffering immensely.

They put a dog right after a puppy with parvovirus with out cleaning the room first. Giess what happend to our dog.they didnt even give a apology.

We have been taking our dogs there for over 6 years. Had a few VETS that we’re afraid/scared of my dogs (there harmless) because they get excited when they go out somewhere. My name was never put in the system my fiance and I lived separately so we both owned our own dogs. I asked numerous times to be put in the system. 6 years later I’m not in the system and they can’t tell me what vaccines my dog needs? ! Wild. Highly recommend going else where! The girls play games at the desk. And they sedate your dog for everything! A dog does not need to be put out to cut off a broken dew-claw! They did it 3 times to mine and i said np the last time and cut it off myself! I’m very happy tp go else where after todays conversation on the phone with your Very rude STAFF! Multpile people told me to stay away and I sure wish I did!

They are not honest vets, they treated my dog and they should have told me how bad he was but instead l spent five thousand dollars and they told me mydog could live along time on this medication and only lasted two months and l had to bring him already three times to the vet, let alone the extreme stress this caused me. I will never go back their. My little Gizmo is gone.

Take my dog Teddy to them. The front office staff was amazing. They treated both of us so well. It was a bit of a wait, no fault of their own as other animals were needing care and I would rather extra care given, in case my dog is ever in need. I truly recommend them!

After the experience at this veterinarian, I can only say this: if you love your pet then STAY AWAY!

The few hundred dollars we wasted getting multiple urinary tests (1 which was "lost" by the front desk receptionist/"tech") is not my biggest gripe.

The biggest red flag is the competency of the "Vet" (who prefers to speak to customers via her receptionist/tech).

Multiple (and costly) urine sample tests that went in circles with no progress, an illogical & ineffective treatment approach and lack of ownership by the vet made my experience here a nightmare.

A wise man once told me that almost all vets are terrific until your pet has a real problem, then you see what they're really worth.
