I've been taking my dog (Pepper) here for the past 3 years (he is a nervous pup especially at the vet), and every single time they've been well accommodating and patient! The DVMs and technicians here really take the time to listen to your concerns, and walk you through all the steps needed to ensure your pet is receiving the best care they can get. They always ask for verbal consent prior to any sort of procedure, and are very thorough, gentle, and calm throughout the entire appointment. Pepper also seems to enjoy some of the treats there, haha. Thank you so much!

VCA has the most wonderful and caring staff. They are attentive and always going above and beyond to ensure that your baby has the best of care. I have recommended VCA to everyone I know and will always trust them with my family.

My regular vet couldn’t accommodate me to put my cat to sleep. I called around the nearest clinic. I’m glad I chose this clinic. The staff that checked me in was very friendly and helpful. I then met Dr. Sophia. She was very thorough and explained to me the whole process and gave me time with each step. She was very compassionate and told me to take all the time I needed. I was in a room where I can ring the bell to let them know that I’m ready for the next step. The staff was also very thorough with the after care of my pet. When I was ready to leave, I was directed to a door that led straight to the parking lot which I appreciated so I didn’t have to see anyone. I have 3 other pets and will be transferring them over to Dr. Sophia’s care in the future. Very happy and impressed with my first visit.

This is an absolutely wonderful team of compassionate people.

We brought our little Jack in because he was dropping weight and had an eye infection/what I thought was an isolated incident of a seizure.

Our other VCA vet could not see him, and this team was able to squeeze us in. While waiting for his blood test results, he started having more seizures, and two days later we were able to come in again on short notice.

Dr. Shannon so gently walked us through his blood test results, which meant he likely was in the process of dying, she helped us to give Jack a beautiful, safe, and loving goodbye. Dr. Shannon, her assistants, and the reception team were so gentle and loving with us during the absolute devastation of having to say goodbye to our beloved fur baby. I can’t thank them enough for being there for us, and for their kindness.

Bless all of you for what you do for people and their pets.

All the staff members are very nice and my puppy likes to go to the clinic which means they treat my puppy very gently also providing anti-traumatic treatments. Veterinarian explains and answers my questions very professionally:) I recommend this place!

What a hassle sadly! After dedicatedly taking all of our Cats to these Vets since 2007, and buying all our food from them, they just got really greedy, and pulled some power trip deal.it seems. My wife received a call stating that we must have our Cats seen in order for them to allow us to purchase a Cat food made by Hills Diet.at around $95-$100 Per "8.5 pound bag". Its very expensive! But we love our Cats! They have been eating this food for many years.
I called back immediately to complain that this choice that this Vet clinic had made, had no point other that to force us into an appointment, (PROFIT, NOT client (patient) service is their choice!) they would not sell us the food without it! They did not care at all, no solution no apology nothing! They could not care less.and therefore we found another local Vet clinic very close by that simply needed our Cats names, our names, then created a file immediately and CARED! I drove over moments later, after closing both our Cats accounts at Lawrence Vet Clinic.and left with a bag of this food, from the new clinic that's all I wanted. Now our Cats have a new Vet clinic, and lots of their food.with great service and no forced appointments.

Started going to VCA Lawrence when I got my puppy 2 months ago. They took me in right away and she had a complete check up. Since the time she has been going there for her puppy vaccines, she has seen both vets Dr. Shannon & Dr. Sophia and both answered all my over protective motherly questions. The difference is they answered my questions in simple to understand terms. The front staff are wonderful and sweet and welcoming. The technicians take care of my puppy like it was their own; handling her with such care.
The only concern I have is that I'm always afraid they may keep her and not return her to me. LOL She is that lovable and they are such sweet people that she gravitates to them with a wagging tail!

I met with Dr. Sophia and the service she provided along with the VCA staff was incredible. She was patient with my list of questions and offered great advice. Dr. Sophia make my cat feel very comfortable. 10/10 would recommend

WORST PLACE EVER! I IF I START I WOULD WRITE PAGES AND PAGES. ONLY THING YOU NEED TO KNOW IS THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE! ONLY THING THEY CARE ABOUT IS MONEY MONEY MONEY. Won't write much as the pain is still very heavy in my heart, but the vet, vet techs, and admin were all so wonderful when we had to euthanize our beloved kitty Monkey/Leeloo yesterday.

I couldn't be there in person so they let my husband patch me in over video. It was a kindness that will not be forgotten. Monkey was the best kitty there ever was, and the staff here provided her the gentlest transition into death that we could have hoped for. Everyone says their cat is the best, and they are, but Monkey was something else.

Thank you to the doc and staff for being with us as we said goodbye.

We really had and continue to have great experiences with this animal hospital. The services are great, location has parking, hours of operation is great for people. There is a team of vets here, who actually take great care of my pet, answer all my annoying questions and send me information for follow up. The spaying experience was excellent.

We have two dogs at Lawrence VCA. Dr. Shum has taken excellent care of our dogs. The staff are all very friendly and efficient. Our 8 year old dog recently had extensive gum surgery and has recovered so quickly because of the excellent care he received. They also honoured the quote they gave despite his surgery being more extensive then they originally thought.

I took cat in for check up and rabies
In Toronto we are still in lock down so it's all curbside pickup and delivery. Everything was done over the phone and the vet due to the circumstances was very organized and ran the apply like clock work. Have a echocardiograph coming up keep you posted

Would not recommend this clinic at all. Doctors changing all the time, inconsistent care and very money hungry. They don’t tell you which doctor your pet sees either. Don’t take the “junior paws plan”. My puppy was turned away for obvious upper respiratory problems. I made it clear to the staff the day he went what his symptoms were. Vet tech even noticed. He was sent home with nothing wrong. Took him in again the next day because I knew something was wrong and they decided that he did actually have an infection. Also tried to sell me a 70$ topical ointment for a minor scab that fell off the next day instead of addressing the real issue.

We have been using this clinic for over 10 years. Staff and doctored are very, very good. Presently, during lockdown, must make an appointment or at least all before your visit. Absolutely no walk-ins. They come out to meet you, discuss problem or services your pet requires then you are phoned by the doctor or assistant providing relevant information on diagnosis, recommended treatment, timing and cost. They are very pleasant professional and I feel very comfortable leaving my pet in their care. They are flexible since I work we try together to make dropping off and picking-up my cats work. There rates hours of operation are reasonable but I wish they were open more on weekends but I truly understand.
The only reason I did not rate a 5 star and this is totally me is the extremely limited parking and getting onto the lot to drop off and picking-up your pet. At times is very challenging. Recommend early morning drop-off. Alternatively, be patient because it is worth the wait and there truly are some great people and driver's out there. Love our pets!

NEVER GO HERE! GO ELSEWHERE! I've left my review here in the past, it had gotten deleted for some reason. But the staff and one specific doctor are very rude and don't care. Dr. Lee was actually very sweet when we met her initially for our new puppy about 2 years ago. When we got home after her second or third visit with a different doctor we noticed our dog's eye was red and bloody and did not look anything like it did before the vet appointment. We were freaking out and called the vet to discuss our concern. Instead of truly trying to help us out they were annoyed because I called 10 minutes before they were closing. The lady on the phone told me to email a picture of her eye and send it before they close and they would call me back. I sent the email and got NO response. Seemed like they were in a hurry to close for the evening rather than help a "client and patient out. I was already frustrated because I got no response and nobody answered my phone call. The next morning I called and made sure to come in for a check up. Instead of the clinic showing empathy they kept calling me because I was "running late" about 5 minutes. The whole experience was horrible and after that we no longer visit this vet for our furry ones. I DON'T RECOMMEND ANYONE VISIT THIS VET EVER. HORRIBLE STAFF. RUDE STAFF. And quite frankly very racist because we were not white.

I didn’t have a bad experience overall. I just didn’t see a connection with the doctor and staff I think all they care about is how much money I will spend. That’s their main focus.

My dog had surgery at this clinic and was entitled to 3 free checks ups. On his second check up I had to wait outside due to covid. The doctor brought him back out with a needle in his hand saying he gave him an injection. I wasn't happy he did this without asking. After leaving they called asking about a payment. I explained that it was part of his post surgery FREE check up and that I did not want nor approve of giving him an injection. They said they would look into it and call me back. They later charged my credit card without asking.
10 months later my dog still limps from the surgery.

The absolute worse experience ever! The doctor with her annoying little voice trying to scare me and play on my emotions to spend $600.

She didn’t even notice the absolute most obvious things. Useless doctor!

She didn’t do the check the first time. I had to go back. Take a day off work just so she could charge me extra for another “examination”. Why should anyone pay for yearly examination after 3 weeks? She didn’t even do his booster shot. They don’t care about your pet! It’s just a business.

This clinic is a rip off with horrible uneducated and not knowledge vet.

This clinic does not care about your Pet. Just how much $$ they can get out of you.

I could talk about the absolute poor service, in great detail, but that is not going to change what happened. Needless to say we took our pet to another vet and got more information and results in one day than it took going to them five times and in fact if we were more knowledged and not paniced about our pet, we should have not gone back after the first visit, that mistake is on us. I do not recommend them, at all this is not just a disgruntled client. I would love to talk about the really bad experience, but more importantly, take your pets some place else

NEVER GO HERE!

My dog Minnie was euthanized at this clinic back in 2012. It was a sudden and incredibly sad event for my family. I never received an invoice. I though naively that an invoice was never sent as they felt badly too - we all cried out eyes out. I always pay my bills but I never received it! Fast forward to May 2020 and my 6 year old toy poodle Ruby was bitten. My new vet had examined her and didn't see a puncture wound. Next day she formed what looked like an absess. My new vet was booked solid and wanted me to keep an eye on it for a few days. I was feeling a little panicky about it and tried to get her into Lawrence Vet Clinic for a quick look. They booked an appointment for the next day but then called back and said there was an outstanding bill for $88 for a euthanasia back in 2012 that would have to be paid before they would see her. What a disgusting, money hungry business!

Dr Yvonne Lee is my cat's primary veterinarian. She's very professional, tactful and kind.
She makes me feel completely involved in my cat's treatment process. I appreciate also her willingness to answer all my questions and to follow-up on our discussions.
So thankful to have a vet like her!

I cannot even describe my experience here, it was so wonderful. Came here to out a pet down and they were the most empathetic people. Cremation options and keepsakes were not pushed or forced on us, they just made sure to provide the pamphlet. The veterinarian is very educated, and walked us through the whole process both before and after. They were very gentle with payment and allowed us time before and after with our pet. They were so gentle with our cat, making sure to put in an IV catheter to make it painless for her and so he did not have to keep poking her over and over. I would one hundred percent recommend. They helped her for a very long time, providing her with excellent care. What a great team. Thank you!

Veterinarians are kind and caring with your pets. Consulting rooms are clean and well lit.
Reception staff somewhat snooty, not very welcoming or informative.

We did like this clinic until it was sold to VCA. We just found it lost the personal feel so we switched to a clinic that is still privately owned.

Although I did tell them that we switched, they made an appointment for our dog without speaking to us today and sent me an email reminder for the appointment which I found very strange.

Why make appointment if we have ti sit and wait for 30+ min each time, even happened to me while I was the only customer in the clinic. A guy at the desk is kinda rude and I get attitude from him each time we speak. Also I've been left waiting for days for a response when they have told me they will get back to me within the hour.the vets are nice and knowledgeable but a majority of the people I've dealt with aren't good to deal with, after our one year puppy plan is over we are switching to a different vet

Vetrenary clinic located at Bathurst and Lawrence for dogs and cats. I had been taking my cat there for 18 years (until I had to put her down due to sickness) and the staff and Doctors have been been really good, caring, compassionate and responsive to the needs of your dog or cat. And if there is a symptom or problem that the Doctor on call cannot cure, she will recommend you see a specialist. You can also purchase specialty dry Dog or Cat food which a Pet Value or supermarket do not carry. I can say your pet is in good hands.

The previous vet retired and sold the clinic to an American corporation. When I brought my cat in for her yearly check-up, I learned that they no longer offer complimentary nail trims (I guess the extra $16 is that important to them) and they didn't transfer my records over to the new system. The last straw was their recommendation that I spend $1,200 for an x-ray based on inflammation they noticed on my cat's gums (extraction would cost $500/tooth). A friend told me her vet noticed the same issue with her cat and he just told her to keep an eye on it. At this point I decided to take my cat to another vet in the area for a second opinion and they recommended a far less extreme course of treatment. My opinion is that VCA has become too profit-driven, so I've switched vets.

Tried to get medical record, reception said they would but never did.called the next day, they said nothing was sent, so would send the files to me again, I confirmed my email address - correct. Nothing for an hour, called again, asked them to send again, they asked if I wanted them to send it to the new vet clinic AS WELL, i said yes. I still have not recieved anything from them, but my vet clinic did.
I asked the new clinic to send me the file history, got it within minutes.

I believe this clinic lied to me on numerous occasions, telling me they sent it. If they are willing to do this, what else are they being sketchy about? I would not trust this Animal Clinic.very frustrating to get any help from them.

*update*
Call again to give them an opportunity to explain why I hadn’t received my dog’s papers. On this call, I found out they sent it to the (wrong) email on file, even though each time I called, i gave them my (correct/new) email address, I even made them say it back to me.
This time I finally received it.
The attitude I got was unacceptable, as it was their error. I had done everything I could to to ensure they had the correct information and I followed up.
Therefore I am still giving them one star.

Everyone at my new vet hospital has been incredible, very understanding and helpful/comforting.
There are other clinics/animal hospital in the city, I would not recommend Lawrence Vet Clinic.

In My opinion they are the best, the staff is very friendly and helpful. They really take their time with each visit and doesn’t make us feel rushed. They show that they really enjoy their jobs and seeing every pet that comes in the door and the vets take their time to make sure they don’t miss anything the first visit there. They also board pets if people to leave their pets in care when they are out of town with a charge of course. I’m so happy that I brought my cat here even they have a cat that looks identical to mine but still really cute. I highly recommended this place. The slight downfall is it’s kind of hard to get in and out of the parking lot because of the traffic but it has nothing to do about them but they are so conveniently located and overall easy to get to.

I am new to Toronto. Already heard not very flattering comments about this place from a neighbor at the apartment building. But, stopped by just to buy two cans of cat food. Big mistake! Never again I am buying anything here. Let along taking my cats to this place. Very strange experience. They managed to accuse me in all possible ill-intentions. First was male receptionist, then a very outspoken female vet (sorry, they refused to share the names, so not sure). Not recommending them to anyone. Unless you like to be insulted at your spare time.
