Very friendly receptionist, tech and veterinarian. They were very helpful with assisting me and my dog with my two small children that I had with me as well. Fair prices and they got me in promptly for my appointment!

My kitty was showing pretty scary symptoms so I called Matthew's at around 230, and they got me in at 5pm! I was so thankful because my kitty was running a fever and wasn't eating and puking for 3 days! They were all very find and answered all my questions! My baby is feeling much better today and I'm so greatfil for Matthew's helping me get my angel feeling better! Thank you!

Matthews used to be amazing. My family had taken our various pets there for over a decade and only ever had great experiences.
The vet that we saw, however, left the practice several years ago, and the quality of the service has decreased significantly in that time. The day they moved to an automated phone system and started doing callbacks was the day we parted ways.
If you're going to make people leave a message and wait for a callback, you won't be in business very long when the callbacks take 2+ hours. The crew over at Stoneybrook answered their phone and got us an appointment before Matthews even called us back.

Edit to add - finally got a callback FOUR HOURS later (after we had already been to and come home from another office) and they didn't even bother to leave a voicemail. Downgraded from 2 stars to 1. Horrific service.

I live close by and despite not personally taking my dog here, I know that Mathews is always very busy with alot of people/pets coming to and from. I have had pleasant interactions while walking by with Staff members who were outside at the time. I know many people in the past who have taken there pet to Mathews and have always had a positive experience. I know that the Veterinarian has a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience over the past 25+ years working in the community. The only downfall is the services are a bit pricey for the average pet owner, but that being said, you get what you pay for! I can totally understand why people choose to spend there money at Mathews versus another Veterinarian/Animal Hospital.

Friendly knowledgeable and my dog not even afraid to go in the front door and we have been at other vets and you get them to the door and he doesn't even want to go in he puts on full stop not here he walks in happy to meet everybody happy to be there I'll never go to another vet again.

Not here, he walked in after smelling the location and was happy every time he went
Sure the bed could be more comfortable lol but I think every body wishes for a comfy place to sit

I cannot say enough great things about this clinic. It’s incredibly clean and the staff will do anything to ensure you and your pet are comfortable. My puppy contracted an eye infection and I was super anxious about her health and the price of the visit. It was incredibly reasonable and I left feeling much lighter. Thanks guys!

I can't get over the fact from our phone call to walking in the door to the kindness from the doctor.

Service was good.but the room was unclean and smelly like dirty socks. Should clean the rooms.it’s hospital.

Brought my car Odin in & he handled it quite well. Vets are patient & caring with the animals. Reception is polite & efficient. Would highly recommend Matthews to anyone with a pet!

The staff at Matthew's are all lovely, and we greatly appreciate that they seem to give you all the options available without pressuring you into any specific course of action (i.e. They don't seem interested in pressing you to spend the most money possible!)
We absolutely love Dr. Eric, we moved out of the area a little while ago but continue to come here because of how great he is

Matthews has been amazing to us fron when we first came to them as a second opinion on our girls knees to her final moments. Dr. Becky saw our Lita through her final moments in the most empathetic, amazing way possible.my husband and I were both beside ourselves but she was amazing throughout the hardest day of our lives. I got to sit and rock my baby and everyone made sure we were supported and loved.

Could not be much better, made my little girl feel very comfortable and had kind words for us as well. Did what was needed and a bit more to take care of the cat and get her back on track and at a very reasonable rate. Thanks!

We have taken our pets to Matthews for years and have always been happy with the care and compassion the vets and staff have shown, both to our fur children and to us. Highly recommended.

I have used the veterinary services here for many years! Sadly as I am not in the area at present. I had to call and tell them. My dog had became suddenly ill! I had to rush him to a 24 hour vet hospital where he was placed in an oxygen chamber. Upon xrays and blood work they had found cancer. That had spread rapidly closing part of his esophagus! To which they told me euthanasia was beest for him! Hardest thing ever as he jad been a long time companion and best friend! Just received in the mail a letter from Guelph! That Vca Maatthews Animal Clinic made a monetary donation in then name of my best friend Royce! Thank You VCA for helping Royce to allow to live on! Will see yous in the future again!:) Everyone in your Clinic has always been amazing and awesome people to deal with!

Cat was showing obvious signs of hyperthyroidism. Brought him for exam, tests. However, they didn't even run a thyroid test. I got the results and specifically had to ask them to test the thyroid level as well. My cat passed away shortly after they put him on too strong of a dose of thyroid meds. My other cat I brought for just his vaccines and exam. They didn't even check his teeth which turns out are in bad shape. Unless you can diagnose your animal yourself and instruct them on exactly what to do. Don't even bother. Most recently just requested them to fill a prescription sent directly to them from my dogs vet (just closer location for pickup) and they refused with no explanation after letting me know they do carry it. Just completely useless.

Since doctor Cox retired, who was an incredible vet, the place has gone completely down hill. They are so quick to send you to emerge and not try to help. They sent me there twice in 1 week, in the 15+ years of going there, doctor Cox never once sent me to emerge and always tried to help. I paid them over $100 for a 5 min appointment for them to send me to emerge. I spent over a thousand at emerge and was looking at thousands more to save my cat’s life. I thought I’d have to put my cat down and it was devastating. I called another vet and they took him immediately at a third of the cost. I will be switching vets, to one that actually cares about animals.

My mom and I put down our dog Bella last night and I've never met a set a staff members with such amazing bed side manners. I only got the names of Sarah and Kristen (who were absolutely amazing) along with the vet & the receptionist at the front desk. I already have different a vet for my other dog but I would definitely consider switching and I would absolutely recommend you! Thank you all for making this difficult time easier.

I signed my pup up for the care club here. The staff are friendly and great with pets. My dog loves to go and actually gets excited when she goes in the door.

I have both my boys go here great staff great people and it’s a great atmosphere! Highly recommend!

We've been going here for as long as I can remember. They are professional, kind, and my dog isn't scared of going there at all. They are fast and reasonably priced as well. Everyone is super nice and you can tell that they care about your animals.

I had my first visit today. They were really great with my puppy and he was comfortable almost immediately. The prices are ok and I didn't feel pushed to buy anything whatsoever. They gave me options and chose the ones I needed and I wasn't pushed into anything else. It is however my first visit so I will update more in the future
