Veggie D’Light

First time here! I never knew about this place until today! Thank you Google for bringing it up when looking for a vegan place to take my friend who has various food allergies.

The place is cute, with more seating than I anticipated! The chef was super nice and allowed us try some of the soup before we sat down. He was able to suggest some gluten free options for my friend, and we both agreed that this Caribbean vegan food was amazing!

This could very well be our go-to spot when my friend comes to visit!

How did I not know this place was right in my home city until now? !? ! Well now I know and I'm grateful!

Stopped by for a meal with a friend who is vegan. Food was delicious and the hot sauce they had was perfect! I got the small meal option so it had bits of everything. Well seasoned, and filling. Thank you for the hospitality, the energy is calm and sweet here.

Really good place. Healthy. Curry was a bit too salty but affordable and nice. Very wholesome meals. Home made quality.

Amazing food and ambience. Service is wonderful! Roti was full of flavour, even my picky kids loved it! Soup was hearty and very delicious. We will be back!

Veggie D’Light were so wonderful to work with on feeding folks at a two day meeting. The food is delicious and the staff are wonderful! Highly recommend!

Edit: years later, this is still our favourite place to eat. They also catered our wedding yesterday and everyone was blown away by the food. They put so much love into the food and the business, I can’t recommend them enough!

The food here is next level! It’s become our go-to takeout. Super flavourful, and not too salty or greasy. Definitely recommend.

So I don't usually leave reviews. But in this case, I have to give credit where credit is due. Excellent vegan food! To the point I could eat with my eyes closed. And I don't eat nobody's food besides my own with my eyes closed. But on a serious note. The food is to die for, I can taste the love! Veggie D'Light, best part of my entire trip to Canada.

One of the best vegetarian meals we've ever had! Very tasty, good portion, friendly staff, relaxed environment. 100% recommended.

Delicious Caribbean food! The staff are always super friendly and helpful, I feel so welcomed whenever I come in. My favourite is the meal with a bit of every protein, good option if it’s your first time - you get to sample everything.

By far THE BEST VEGETARIAN FOOD in the GTA. Amazing blends of healthy proteins, carbs, and veggies. Affordable with a relaxing atmosphere. Better yet they offer catering!

Love every piece of food that is made here. It’s so filling and delicious. The only “negative” is that they’re not open every day (which is fair because they’re a small team!)

Great food, great service, the owner and staff are cool. Whenever I'm in Toronto I make sure I eat here, vegan or not, you should visit one of the best carribean spots out there, fair price aswell.

When I visited Veggie D’Light I was embraced by a cozy atmosphere with lovely music, warm and friendly staff and a view of the open kitchen from the seating area. It was all very nice and inviting, but the moment I tasted my first spoonful of the soup of the day I knew I was in for a real treat! It was French Lentil and it was so flavourful and delicious and served piping hot! Following the soup I had a large plate of the most amazing vegan, gluten free Caribbean food I’ve ever had. It included a supreme curry that was also so beautifully flavourful and delicious, Moringa loaf, brown basmati rice with flax and quinoa, steamed organic greens, steamed squash and it was topped with a fresh organic salad. The flavours were out of this world. The good feeling I had from being at this restaurant and from enjoying all the wonderful happy food was memorable. It made my whole day amazing. I can’t wait to visit again. I’ve already recommended to all my friends. Bravo Chef Peter and all the wonderful staff at Veggie D’Light.

I don’t know how the food is so good. I’m from Hamilton but I go there anytime I’m in that area and I hope they exist forever. The staff are so friendly and kind. I literally wish every restaurant was this restaurant.

$88 dollars for a half pan of vegan lasagna…who do you think you are? Vegans really are the worst

The food was very tasty, I had the Roti with Jerk Seitan with veggies. The meal was generous and full of flavour

This is the best vegan restaurant I have eaten in my entire life!
I am totally a meat lover, but after I had the first bite, I am so mad cuz it is too delicious to stop eating. I finished the meal with anger and tears. Idk what I’m eating but it is just so good. The vegetables have a perfect balance between it original sweetness and flavor from the seasoning. The curry- like (made with chickpeas and potatoes) stuff is absolutely packed with flavor, and it literally makes me wanna cry. When I enter the restaurant, the smell of spices indicates this will be an unusual meal. And it turns out it is.
The portion is incredibly huge, even though I usually eat more than one portion of food in other restaurants, this meal totally made me satisfied.
No matter if you are vegan or not, just go and try it right away please.
