July 15th was my third time at the vet. My first two visits for our Kobe were great. The third one was horrible.

First of all, they ask you to complete a review so you can save on taxes, that should have alerted me from the start. I bet half of these 4+ star reviews are fake, just so pet parents can save a bit of money:)

Dr. Ray kept pushing food on us without providing us any knowledge behind the various food choices. He quite literally threw a bunch of food bags on the table and said "take your pick". He also scared both my husband and I saying our 15 week old Kobe may need surgery if we don't do an x-ray immediately and didn't explain anything further. His final diagnosis was that our puppy was dehydrated when our puppy did not show not even 1 sign of dehydration. Our visit was originally scheduled for Kobe's rabies vaccine and we ended off the visit without the rabies vaccine and with a $900.00 bill. This vet also brings your dog into a back room and you can't be with them which I was never a big fan of, thankfully our new vet doesn't follow this same procedure. I would NOT recommend this clinic to anyone. Horrible experience.

The staff and doctor were more than professional in the instance where our cat swallowed fish line and we needed immediate medical intervention. They were caring and compassionate, walked us through the process providing all options. I would definitely recommend anyone seeking veterinarian care.

I have been bringing my puppy here for about a year now and the staff is amazing! They have a text system which is very efficient, convenient, and responsive as well! I have had my puppy taken care of by Dr. Ray Nehad as well as the assistant Mr. Tadao who have been extremely caring and professional. I recently took my dog there for a severe ear infection. The Vet was such a patient and understanding gentleman. He understood, that I was cost conscious, and worked with me the best he could. I have known Dr. Ray for many years now. I met him prior to his completing his veterinary exams here in Ontario, so he can practice as a vet in Canada. He always showed a love for veterinary medicine, having already practiced extensively in Iran. He is proud to be a vet and is ALWAYS CONSCIENTIOUS and humble enough to reach out to the global veterinary community when he does not know something.

He is ALWAYS INTERESTED in new developments in his profession because he LOVES WHAT HE DOES. He is ethical in his practice and I highly doubt that he would charge for anything outside of standard parameters.

If you don't understand why you are being charged a certain amount, then communicate this to him directly. He will be clear in his explanation if you give him a chance and reasonable. Get quotes prior to accepting any work he does on your pet. I know he will be happy to get clear with you that way. The only reason I am not currently using Dr. Ray's services is because he is too far a drive from my place.

Now, let me tell you my story:

Back in the summer of 2012, I was in Montreal visiting my family and staying at a hotel nearby. My pug wasn't doing well. I took him to a vet and they did blood work. They said he had kidney disease and only had a few months to live. I was shocked and devastated. It was a hard pill to swallow because he was only 10 years old.

In the meantime, my dog (Rocco) couldn't control himself and started having accidents. So, I decided to call Dr. Ray in Toronto for a second unofficial opinion. He suggested that one of the tests be redone because it hadn't been done properly. And that from the blood work results, it was very possibly that it was not kidney disease.

From the symptoms described to him, he then told me that it was highly likely that my dog was in extreme pain and that he should be on antibiotics. - He said 'get the antibiotics asap. ' So, I did. And he was right. My dog started doing much better within a couple of days. Likely because at this point, it was just a UTI.

Do yourself a favor. Give Dr. Ray a chance, even if you have initial doubts. He will be loyal to you and do his best with your pet. Get clear on what you want. If for example a surgery is suggested and you are not comfortable at that point, wait it out. Get a second opinion if you must, but try to work with Dr. Ray because he really cares for your pet's well being and will always do his best.

Dr Ray said it's 75 for an exam 85 for an x-ray
And brings me back a bill saying I owe 1000$.
If Dr ray had said I need to take multiple x-rays (6 is the amount he took) and also had forgot to tell myself or my spouse that there's an 255$ radiology charge.
I live in Vaughan that dose not make me rich. 160 to 1000 is a very far reach biggest crooks in town. It's been one year since I posted this and still. No reply. Crooks

As a new pet owner (and first time puppy owner), my biggest fear is placing my puppy in the wrong hands. From the minute I scheduled an appointment (early appointments and next day availability-love that) I felt at ease.

Dr. Nejad is an incredibly compassionate and thorough Veterinarian who, with his staff, provide great care to the neighborhood dogs and cats.

It was my very first time seeing a vet for my kitten. My kitten was not eating and I was so worried. She also had diarrhea. Dr. Ray examined her and gave her a shot to help her appetite. But he said because she’s sick, not to give her a vaccination just yet. Better to wait till she gets better and then give her a vaccination. He said since he had already examined her, he would wave the examination at my next visit and only give her the shots. I felt that was fair. I called today to book her vaccination, and the front desk said he would charge $55 for the examination. I requested that he speak to Dr. Ray because he had said that he would wave it for me. They called back and said no he would charge me. I felt so insulted. Dr Ray doesn’t keep his word. He just cares about his cheque.

Vellore woods Vet does a fantastic job at putting both the client and the pet at ease. I was recommended Vellore Woods Vet by a friend who used them and her recommendation was spot on. They are extremely communicative, knowledgeable, and go above and beyond to ensure you that your pet is cared for. They have also taken fantastic measures to ensure social distancing measures during this crazy time, while still making sure they provide necessary services. I cannot recommend them enough. As a first-time pet owner, I'm thrilled they exist within walking distance!

Had a wonderful first puppy visit at Vellore Woods Vet. Everyone from the person on the phone (Tadao), to the assistant bringing my dog back (Cristine), and the vet himself (Dr. Ray) were so kind! Even though the visit was curbside, the vet took so much time and care with me and my new puppy. He was thorough and did not rush me through my many questions when we spoke on the phone! He even sent me an email after our conversation with more resources. Coco and I will definitely be back to this vet!
