I visited this saloon this afternoon. The lady who did my threading was very unprofessional and inexperienced. I explained to her in advance what to do exactly, but she did my eybrows too thiin and uneven. Especially she totally spoiled my left eybrow. I even got two cuts on the left side of my lower lip while she was using thread after the waxing over that area. It's really painful and swallow. She also did waxing on my upper lips but I can still see so many hairs on my upper lips. I will never go back to this saloon. Very unprofessional staff.

You should really update your prices on your website it’s very misleading. You come in there thinking your paying a certain price based off the prices on the website only to be inconvenienced at checkout when it’s more than you expected!

Amna is absolutely the best! My eyebrows are perfect every single time and she is the only person I trust with shaping and cleaning them. I’ve referred her to all of my family and friends and they also love her. She is very professional, kind, and has a great attention to detail. Book her for any of your waxing or threading services, you won’t regret it!

Over all experience was okay, but Raji was a star She gave me a layer cut, and it exceeded expectations. Compared to all other staff members, I would give her a 10/10.

Roopa and Simran don’t know how to tackle customers after giving them bad service. If you are going for your eyebrows, please keep away from these two ladies.

I went for my daughter's first haircut today and the staff was so nice. She was very scared and crying alot.it was so difficult to cut her hair but they did it with so much care and gave haircut exactly like how I wanted. I will be going there again. Thank you

Paul is my regular barber and I am highly satisfied by his excellent barber skills and brilliant customer service

I would say it’s a go to salon in the neighbourhood for basic stuff such as waxing, eyebrows or kids/ men’s haircuts or a quick root touch up. Nothing great or praise worthy except that it’s quick. Staff are mostly busy talking out loud among themselves, laid back attitude. I have made several trips in last seven years but never impressed. This time my root touch up was also done wrong- a shade darker, but it was nt a first time for them anyways. Prices have gone up post covid but that is true for most places now.

Aman is excellent at eyebrows! She is really good at shaping them and making sure both brows are even and not too thin. Highly recommend

Don't know about the girls experience - front staff is nice however.

The woman waxing me removed my skin, I was bleeding and I can not understand why she continued if she saw that the area lost skin and was bleeding. It's very painful.

Horrible experience. Was seen 37 minutes past my scheduled appointment time. Receptionist was rushing the hairdresser. After colour application and wash, receptionist took over. She ripped my hair out to be "detangling" it because they were out of the "vitamin E Conditioner". I had to take the brush away and attempt to detangle my own hair. Receptionist had the nerve to ask me "you want your hair dried". Seriously? Do they wash the colour and send of clients with wet hair? This woman starting hitting my scalp with her hands and waving the blow dryer around, she did NOT use a hair brush! Ended with me drying my own hair. Over charged me from the price I was quoted.

Got my haircut, it was next level fade, never had before would recommend get your haircut done by PULKIT, best out there must try once you won't regret

The lady on the front desk doesn’t respect the turn and the costumers’ time at all… and their offers aren’t real

Jyoti you’re amazing. You are always so sweet and do a fantastic job. I can’t trust anyone else with my eyebrows. The front desk isn’t always the friendliest or organized but I come here for Jyoti. She deserves a raise!

Yasir is the best barber in the town, always helpful with a smiling face, he deserves the best.

Yassir is one of the best barbers that I have ever been to, he is very detailed and thorough and I love the mini massage that he gives to my head after cutting my hair,
Definitely recommend him, and I have been with him more than 2 years.

Today I went to the salon for my body waxing
There was a lady named as roop. She was not at all friendly and she started my waxing with under arm and she was so rough and doing it in hurry she almost put wax in my hairs it was very painful experience then she did my arm and legs she did it in very rough way constantly using 1 strip and because of that wax was sticked to my body and she was pulling it. It leaves very bad bruise and burning on my arm and underarm after that she did it in so hurry I have wax spots on arms and legs. Always jyoti do my waxing she is very good and do it with ease but roop was horrible experience
0 for cleanliness not even provide things to clean ourself after that I came home and I saw properly in my both the under arm I have bruise because she was constant using 1 strip and pulling off and wax was not pulled off properly. I would have give them 0 stars worst service ever and most painful. I have wasted 64$

Got haircut done here today. Very little wait time even without appointment because they have many barbers. My hair cut was done by Yasir. The best fade I have ever gotten so far, He is the real deal. Very happy with the service.

Went for a hair cut and style (for a wedding party) had an appt with Nehrin, she was 20 minutes late, when it was my turn she said “ no time for a hair cut” and started for a hair, She never asked me what I want and she never told me what she want to do on me, when I asked what are you going to do, she said “ I will do what is trend now and you will like it”, I again told her “ you at least should let me know what are you doing”, she said dont worry, you will like it, if some one says you dont look good I will give you a free hair cut another day” …. Believe me at the end I looked like Medusa…… then I asked them to wash my hair as I hated it, they denied first and then did it but charged me 70$
Please dont go to this place, bunch of unmannered and unqualified people are sitting there, very bad customer service, front desk receptionist PRADEEP also very rude, no manners, does not know customer service

So I had to ask if I called Velvet Spa. If you work in a business, it's always nice to use proper procedures when answering or dealing with customers.

Jyothi is great! I love thick brows and only trust her with mine! She double checks halfway if I prefer to fill the gaps or have those hairs removed which I appreciate to prevent them from getting too thin. Been coming here for years - it’s not fancy but it gets the job done.

Tbh I go here because it's the closest to my house. Prices have increased but can only imagine it's because of covid which is acceptable. I get my brows threaded here, it's generally pretty good. For body waxing I've always been burnt - wouldn't recommend if you can afford to go elsewhere.

My eyebrows were bleeding and swollen and she blamed it on me saying it’s because i didn’t hold it tight enough. Would give 0 stars if I could.

The service provided at this saloon is really amazing. Specially jyoti, i went for wax and threading and she did it very nicely. She is very friendly and treats in a proper way.

After long time decided to do highlights when I call they said it’s $90+ tax then I booked the appointment but on appointment date charges was different and they never accept it was $90.still I did because I wanted to do and the stylist is the worst person I have seen in my life.her hand is so harsh / hard.and she was so messy color is everywhere on my face.very bad experience also she was about to use the cloth she was using for cleaning chairs n other stuff

Had a simple haircut from Yassir! He was quick and efficient with his service. Overall the place is good hygienic, the staff are warm and welcoming. I visited in a busy hour and there was hardly any wait time.

I always come to this place because I like the guy who cut my hair. The only problem with this place they don’t know how to respect people around them. They always talk with their own language and they don’t know how to respect other people’s time. They normally take 10 to 15 minutes to cut a men’s hair. But there was a guy that it took almost 1 hour just to do the regular haircut and I’ve waited there for almost 2 hours just to do my haircut. They gave this guy a special treatment for some reason which I don’t understand. They should at least understand that there are people waiting online.

Jyoti is the best. She is so kind and very careful. She did my face waxing and full legs, she is very good at her job. Highly recommend.

I took my father there for a hair cut and they took their time and did a great job! Check the 1 star reviews, the posters only have one review.they all seems like fake 1 star reviews. I have no interest in the business but I thought they dida a great job and highly recommend you trying them out!

This place was not clean the wax was burning hot like lava felt like i was bleeding and when getting a facial the lady took my newly done piercings without my permission then blamed me when i said shes not to take it out. THERE ARE WAYS TO DO A FACIAL WITHOUT TAKING A PIERCING.overall this place was unprofessional and i would never recommend this place to anyone i am very unsatisfied and upset.

Yasir does a terrific job as he takes his time and is dedicated to ensure that everyone has a good haircut and/or experience with their hair style/cut. I would definitely recommend him at the Velvet Salon as he is a great hair stylist/barber.

Worst experience.worst hair cut, they are using the same machines for everyone and not even bothered to clean it at least for the sake of Corona Virus spread.

Jyoti is really good for waxing. She has such a soft hand that the whole experience is painless. She knows well what she is doing.

If you are a woman and you need a haircut, I highly suggest you go somewhere else. Velvet salon should be your last option for a haircut, second last option being "cutting your own hair". I went there yesterday and this lady with a scissor tattoo on her forearm took the opportunity to give me a hair cut. She took less than 5 minutes to cut my hair, I brush my teeth longer than that. She fully messed it up and cut it a lot shorter than the length I asked for.

I asked her to keep the length to my chin but she cut it up to my ear lobe. NEVER GO THERE! Trust me, there are better options. Cut it yourself worst case scenario!

Yasser is one of the best barbers in Mississauga, very professional, nice and know what’s he’s doing, I highly recommend him.

I called them today and ask for the appointment and they replied no one is here I can come now I told I am coming in 15 min. When I reached within 15 min a guy already in service and one more was waiting so I decided to leave but the employee or owner there ask me to wait and next will be me as I called. So I wait but when my time came other employee came and with an attitude said I have to wait more and be in que no matter if I called. I request them that I have an appointment to reached but they don't care, so I leave. I will not wait if they told me on the first place. So unprofessional. Waisted my time in waiting for nothing.

Today I paid $32 for the most basic men haircut, which I normally pay $19 to same person, same shop (pre-covid times). And service was totally rushed. We all are affected by covid but this is NO good to cover up for your losses by ripping off people and the service was pathetic

I called ahead of time to let them know I need to come in for my eyebrows, they said come before 7 and I called to make sure 3 min before they close I got in at 6: 59 and they said they couldn’t take me. It’s absolutely ridiculous especially when I called 3 min before and they told me to come in. They don’t know what they’re doing

The receptionist cuts people across in the queue and when confronted, gives lame excuses. Wasted an hour extra because she cut 3 people across in the queue.

I never get the same level of service. One time it's great, another time, it's awful. But prices are good and they do an ok job if I'm in a rush.

Super fast and efficient. Eyebrows depend on who you get but usually good and hair coloring is usually consistent. Just make sure you're adamant about your color and clear about what you pick. Overall, decent service for the price point.

Quick service most of the time - but the scent of chemicals is so over-powering that I can't go here, anymore. The price of a haircut used to be reasonable but in just the past 5 years the price has more than DOUBLED, which is insane. Other issues include the lack of bike parking and safe pedestrian access in this plaza. If you do still go, make sure to use your coupon in the mail (or online) for a number of services they provide (including haircuts).

My sister and I always come here, Manjit usually attends to us and she is my favorite she treats us all with respect and this is why I go to Manjit to get my eyebrows done and she is very nice and friendly, I recommend for everyone to come here and ask for Manjit and you guys have to get her she is very good and fast.

I don’t know what kind of unhygienic environment these people work in. I got my eyebrows, upper lips, and chin threaded. A day after I woke up with irritated, swollen eyelids and itchy peeling skin around my eyebrows and under eyes. I have gotten my eyebrows done before and this has NEVER happened. I got contact dermatitis/eczema patches all over my eye lids, under eyes, around the eyebrow, upper lip and chin, only the same spots I got threaded. I’m in so much pain now. Thanks a lot.

Recently moved to Mississauga and haven't found a hairdresser yet and was referred here. Had a wonderful experience with Manuella. Booked the day before for wash cut blow-dry. I everything done under an hour! My hair was all dead from balayage so I let her pick what cut to give me and I love it! Dead ends bye bye. Hello new do! It reminds me of Rachel from Friends. Manuella was sweet, professional and easy to talk to. Thank you! Found my new hair lady ️

They overcharged me, when I asked them to correct it, they were clearly very angry about it. Turns out I forgot my coat at the salon, they said they donated it to charity but I'm sure whoever closed just stole it

Decent service and prices. They have now started taking payments via debit cards as well. The girl at the reception was helpful and approachable. Waiting time can be a bit longer than what you expect.

Terrible. If you want to leave with disappointment this is your place. I went to get my hair dyed and it was completely off from what I showed them. We had to redo my hair several times and we still achieved nothing close to what I wanted. The girls are nice but have no clue what they are doing. I walked out paying for something I absolutely hated.

The place only good for body waxing and that to from specific people. Ask for Neelam or Damiani for wax. I would never go for anything else most people working there are unprofessional and rude.

They did a horrible job with my eyebrows. My brows look uneven and patchy which is far worse than how they looked when I first came in! Don’t waste your money, find another place to go that knows what they’re doing.

Probably one of the most unprofessional places. Front desk is rude and has no interest in helping. Only reason I went was Neelam, who no longer works there. Other ladies make experience very uncomfortable. No point in going now. Neelam was the only friendly face and only one I trusted to do my eyebrows.

My mom and I have been coming to this salon for several years and Neelam is the BEST for eyebrows/waxing! She always has a smile on her face, she cares about her clients and listens to what they want! The wait time is usually long because she has SO many clients - but she is worth the wait! She has never disappointed us:) You will be missed <3

The only reason I'm giving this salon five stars is because of Saima! She has the best customer service and always takes care of her customers. My daughter only let's Saima do her eyebrows since the first time she's been getting them done and she is never disappointed. Hardly anyone speaks English in this salon. The best hairdresser is Ella. Prices are the cheapest place anywhere in Peel for waxing and threading of eyebrows. They do a good job at that. The cheapest place for a color and cut.

I have always dealt with Valerie. She is no longer working at Velvet Spa. I need to get my hair cut next week, so i will be making my appt with Ella. I went to see if Valerie was available and thats when i found out she is gone. The woman at the desk looked dumb when i asked her questions, very unfriendly. Never greeted me at all. This place is so unprofessional its unreal! After my cut i am going somewhere else.

Asked to get my brows and upper lip done, they assigned me to a room and then I waited and waited. I asked 5 minutes later if someone was going to attend to me and they said, “yea she’s just getting a drink of water. ” Waited another 10 mins. How long does it take for someone to get a drink of water? After that I just left, This isn’t a doctors office, I can get my brows done anywhere and not have to wait - was just in the area so decided to drop by. Don’t come and waste your time.

I went in for highlights and spent 3 hours and on top of that didnt get the color i desired. The ladies that work there are very unprofessional, unfriendly, and dont greet the customers with a smile at all. They really need customer service classes and learn how to speak english. I will never go there to color my hair but threading and waxing is fine. They dont accept debit or credit which is weird since nowadays ppl carry cards not cash.

Ask for Valerie for hair-related work. She's the best and takes her job seriously. And, Neelam is great for eyebrows from what I've heard. Unfortunately, you have to hound the receptionists a bit to remind them you're still waiting. Don't expect to be called on even if you write your name on the list when you come in. It's a bit of a hassle to be honest. Make an appointment, or if you can, I recommend going elsewhere.

Very disorganized and unprofessional. Been here a couple times and I can say I have never had a good time. Workers seem unhappy and the manager has no costumer service skills. Would not recommend!

Awful place. Did not follow instructions on how to do my eyebrows and completely ruined them. Did them the way she thought they looked good and just made excuses when i asked her why she did this.

I wish these people learn atleast some customer service. Each time I go there I find the whole atmosphere so unwelcoming as if Im asking then to do something for free. Language is another big issue here. Last time I camer here for haircut the girl did a good job for only $20. So I came back again and asked if they would do it for same price. They refused saying they never offer haircuts for that price. It was so difficult to explain this to the girl at front. Their work isn’t that bad but they need to learn English and customer service.
