I went to your Ottawa office in July to apply for my visa. My visa application was accepted in August and it is now the end of September and I haven’t received my passport back. I’ve waited over a month now and am increasingly getting worried that I will not receive it. I need to know where it is and what is the hold up on getting back to me. I’ve contacted your hotline multiple times and not received the help I needed.

I have been trying to get an appointment. I moved to payment step but it got stuck for hours not completing the payment. When I check my bank app, I see that the payment is pending but webpage is still stuck in the payment step. Going to attempt driving all the way to the office to book my appointment in person as I am aware there was slots available today.

Contrastingly to the other reviews, my UK visa application process was quick, efficient, and easy. I didn't have any problems booking an appointment or with the passport shipping.

I feel it necessary to share my experience as I see it differs from some of the other reviews. My wife and 2 children attended VFS for our UK biometrics appointments. First, we were able to book sequential appointments online, with only 2 days notice. Second, the staff were extremely helpful. We did not have our checklist printed (that was my mistake) but they kindly allowed me to email the forms to them right there on the spot. Lastly, they took the time to process everything for us right there, even though it was a Friday afternoon. The most amazing part of this all is that everything got processed and returned to us (arrived by FedEx at my door) after 8 business days. These processes can be complicated and confusing. If you offer them patience, they'll return the favor. 5/5 customer service rating from me. Thank you to your whole team there at VFS!

I just want to share my experience as we recently applied for a visa through VFS global for my wife. VFS global gave an excellent service. This outside the fact it is not my first time applying for a visa. I recommend everyone gathering properly the documents and make sure you double check for any question before leaving the office. We wanna take a moment to thank all the services offered and rendered through their website and also customer service by phone.

Please, anyone, have any contact way with this office! My Mom did the biometric more than a month, and the British immigration consultant said the application decision is made and that this office should contact me, and still I didn't receive anything from them!

Hi this is regarding with our Request Refund for both I and my Wife that has been submitted since April 5,2023 due to sudden death of my Father Until the moment we didn’t receive any response coming from VFS Global Ottawa, were just keep on trying to reach them out through their website however it always didn’t get through, Were still hoping that there will be someone to contact us with regards to this matter.

Je ne comprends pas, cela fait un mois que j'essaie de prendre rendez-vous sur le site, aucune disponibilité.

J'ai appelé deux fois le centre qui me disent qu'il faut être patient et réessayer. Ils m'ont dit que de nouvelles disponibilités seraient affichées cette semaine. Je vérifie plus de 3 fois par jour, toujours rien.

Je dois voyager en mai et je ne sais absolument pas comment faire pour pouvoir avoir un rendez-vous au plus vite.

I recently visited the VFS center in Ottawa to get a Schengen visa for my upcoming trip to France. First off, I’m based in Toronto but couldn’t get any appointments for short stay visas for at least 3 months out. Everything was booked up and with just 45 days left for my trip I found an appointment at Ottawa and decided to make a sprint to the city. VFS website in Canada definitely needs some improvements in re to scheduling appointments. On the other hand, the France visa website pretty much had all the information you needed for the application process and documents you need. So after getting all my documents, travel insurance and photos in order I arrived 15 mins early at the center (as they instructed in their emails) and my appointment was smooth. Anna and her colleague checked every little detail of my documents to make sure they are in order so my chances of attaining a visa were higher. Next they took my biometrics asked me some questions about my purpose of visit and I was good to go. They gave me a receipt and tracking # for the delivery of my passport and all in all the appointment lasted for 30 mins. The best part - I got my visa in 11 days! Thank you Anna and team VFS for your help and support.

C’est dommage qu’il n’y ait pas d’agent qui parle français. On viens pour une demande de visa pour la France donc la normale serait d’avoir une personne qui parle français.
J’ai dû utilisé Google translate avec l’agent qui m’a reçu.
Comment faire pour suivre ma demande de visa?
les lien de suivie ne marche pas. Le seul lien qui marche me demande le numéro de référence sur ma facture et je ne sais même pas où il se situe sur la facture. On devrait nous l’indiquer au rendez vous.
Pour suivre la demande c’est compliqué

If there was 0 point, I would give it to this institution for the worse service ever.
I booked an appointement for Ottawa and also Courier service.and I cancel it 20 days before the appointement day cause I found a better appointement near me in Montreal (cause there were no availabily in montreal)
I canceled the appointement and guess what, they dont refund a cancellation even though 20 days before the date and also no cancellation for courrier service. I ended up paying the service twice
And They dont pick the phone

I wish they had like a priority list. I have sent my passport out its been past due date and did not get any updates. I need my passport before 11 Jan and it is an emergency and nobody can help further on that. It sucks but since they took longer on their side they should have taken the responsibility to get it done for me.

I booked an appointment on october 23rd for November 23rd and after few hours I found another appointment in toronto, i called the customer service and I was told to cancel my appointment and rebook to toronto. I cancelled my appointment however, never received my refund for the same. I have been calling, emailing and everytime a new agent replies something unrelated to the case.
I never received a confirmation email due to their website error but i received a cancellation in matter of minutes. However, as per their agents, i can not receive refund till i provide the confirmation even after providing the cancellation which provides all the details of the appointment.

My husbands passport has been sitting in the visa office since july 27,2022- it has not been returned with a visa stamp.we have contacted our embassy numerous times and they keep mentioning the visa centre is working on it. Not to mention that our visa was approved previously by the embassy, however visa center forgot to ask for our passport and the visa expired.after much hardship our passport was requested for a new stamp.however it has been over 3 months- our whole life is on hold.we just want our stamped passport back so we can move on with our lives.someone please help us. We have contacted the embassy and officials many times with dead end.

I had an appointment to submit my biometrics at this office yesterday. Everything went very well: the office was almost empty, my appointment started on time and lasted only 15 minutes, the employees were very friendly and nice. Overall, very pleasant experience!

I came 45 mins early and they were able to assist me immediately. The woman who helped me was super friendly and quick.

I applied for a skilled worker visa (UK) and received my passport back via courier on the 10th business day.

Thank you for such a stress free process.

I had a wonderful experience at the Visa centre. The appointment was efficient and the agent was extremely helpful. My issue is the help after the appointment. I was told I would get a decision 4 months after this appointment, the 4 month mark has passed and I have heard nothing. I know this process can take a while but when I have tried to reach out for more information on the visa process I am given no answers. I have had several emails back and forth with VFS since the beginning of September, and my questions have been ignored and I have received no information. I am growing increasingly frustrated and this is one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever encountered with the lack of email communication and no phone number.

This is the worst VFS I have ever been to. Had to travel all the way to Ottawa from Edmonton just to drop my documents here for my schengen visa. I got rejected now just because I missed a signature. They took 45 mins to go through my documents but didn't even do a good job apparently. Asked me to submit so many documents refused to consider documents but failed to check mandatory signature fields.

The security guard I don’t know why he gets frustrated whenever someone ask him anything about the label. He’s like it’s your fault if something wrong.dude we are not working here we don’t know the system in here, we don’t know any single thing in here. And my appointment was 12: 45 pm and I am still waiting here from last 25 minutes.

I was very impressed with the team at VF Services. They were welcoming, friendly, well organized, and efficient. Special thanks to Zade, the advisor who helped me with my Visa application. He explained every step and made me feel very much at ease. I was very impressed and felt well looked after from start to finish.

Me and my husband applied for France visa like 2 weeks ago. The staff is so friendly and very diligent to check each and every paper to make sure nothing is missing. Now I am waiting and hoping that me and my husband get visa on time so that we can visit the beautiful country as per plan. Thanks a lot!

I have NEVER had an experience with a professional service THIS BAD in my life. I had my appointment in which I finalized my long-stay French student Visa application on July 30,5 WEEKS ago. At my appointment, I was ensured by the employee Mustafa that the maximum amount of time it would take for the long-stay Visa to arrive after this appointment would be 3-4 weeks (30 days), and further because it was a student Visa, it would take "LESS THAN 20 DAYS". I asked and re-clarified with Mustafa again and again, and he ASSURED ME my VISA would DEFINITELY be delivered to me in "max. 20 days". Having this definitive assurance, I purchased my plane ticket for August 26th, 2022 (26 days later), which was OVER the time frame of 20 days he had told me my Visa would be delivered within. This was good timing as I was supposed to be flying to Marseille, France as an exchange student and my University orientation week was starting 3 days later, on the 29th of August. 3 days after my appointment, on August 3,2022, I received an email from vfs global saying my Visa would be arriving in the mail TOMORROW and an email from UPS saying that the label for my package had been made, but that the package had not yet been shipped to UPS. My Visa never showed up and for the past 5 WEEKS since I have been trying desperately to track down my Visa to no avail. I have already had to delay my flight TWICE and had to pay extra both times (something I am willing to do as I have already burned thousands of dollars of hard-earned money- I am a student who worked minimum wage- on this exchange semester). Every time I have tried to call VFS Global in Ottawa, they have not helped me whatsoever and simply tell me to contact the French Consulate in Montreal where my Visa *apparently* has been being processed. (The French Consulate in Montreal only has an automated response when called, and no actual person picking up the phone to speak with you. I have also left them emails through their contact section on their website but no email response has been sent back to me either.) THIS WEEK (5 weeks after my initial appointment and A MONTH after I was allegedly supposed to receive my Visa in the mail, I get an email from VFS Global in Ottawa informing me that 3 of the documents which I had provided to them (to provide to the French Consulate in Montreal to be processed) needed to be re-sent. At my appointment I had provided ALL THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS, (I had made a cheklist beforehand and MADE SURE I had everything). Mustafa- the employee- also re-told me everything I needed in my application on the phone before my appointment, which I made sure I fulfilled, and checked during my appointment and assured me I had everything there. Seeing as I provided ALL THE DOCUMENTS necessary for my Visa application, this means that the 3 documents that I was told I had to re-send to VFS Global 5 weeks after my appointment were lost either by The French Consulate in Montreal or by VFS Global themselves- I don't know how this is possible as Mustafa put all my documents along with my passport and photos into an envelope to be sealed and sent to the French Consulate in Montreal in front of me. I have missed my exchange school's orientation week AND the first week of classes. Also, I have already had to delay my flight TWICE as aforementioned, and the completion of my residence in France requires my Visa as one of the necessary documents to be able to LIVE in France when (if) I ever get there. Furthermore, I am already currently subletting my student house in Ottawa to someone else and should I never get this France Visa, I will no longer have a home anywhere (my summer lease has already ended and I have been staying with friends since the day my original flight was supposed to be). Further (x2) more, should my French Visa never come in, I will NOT BE ABLE TO ATTEND SCHOOL in Ottawa either as the mandatory classes for me to be enrolled in for my program are all already full. This has been a nightmare and the most stressful experience of my life. WORST SERVICE EVER. 0/5

I had a fantastic experience getting my Visa Application submitted through this location. From the moment I walked in I was greeted by a very friendly staff who made my visit very time efficient (under 20 minutes in total from being checked in to leaving). The women who helped me was named Shobaua, and she was super friendly and handled all my appointment needs in a very time effective way. I would highly recommend this place. They made what was a very confusing and stressful process for me very simple. Thank you Ottawa VF Services!

Visa application for France submitted since March 12nd 2022, but we still do not receive the passport.
The Ups tracking said documents should be received on March 18th, but now it is just mentioned label created.
My friend must travel on March 28TH. We are very confused!

I’ve made an application for UK visa on the 12 April 2022 and I’ve paid 370$ to get priority service, as the agent told me that I will get my passport in 5 days! Until writing this review I didn’t get any feedback from them.

Nous avions beaucoup d’appréhension par rapport au processus de demande de visa. Les avis écrits ici nous ont fait craindre le pire. Cependant, nous avons été très agréablement surpris, notamment par l’amabilité du personnel sur place. Notre rendez-vous était à la première heure disponible le matin. Je crois que cela a été un avantage, nous n’avons pas attendu. Par contre, il faut être bien préparé et avoir en main tout les documents nécessaires, ce qui était notre cas. Une semaine plus tard, nous venons de recevoir nos passeports (et visas). Une belle expérience, finalement!

To be honest I was so freaking out after reading all of these negative comments. I live in Toronto and my appointment was in Ottawa. I drove like 5 hours and then after I got to vfs global I was still super anxious because of all these negative comments. The guy who helped me out was amazingly nice. Unfortunately I didn’t catch his name but he was really really tall. I applied for France short stay visa. He was so kind and helpful. After 20 days I received my passport and visa by UPS. So my advice to everyone else please have all your documents ready and do not worry about anything else.

CKGS was a million times better than this place. My father is ashamed to mention he is Indian after being here and meeting the rude people here. My grandfather died and I was asking for information on an e we emergency visa. There guy here says “That’s not my problem. Not my fault. ” And this is just the tip of the iceberg. I can’t even write the other stuff here. They made us sit outside the door on the floor to wait for our passports. TERRIBLE HUMANS! Imagine if they had an emergency and were treated the same way.

Contrary to the Toronto location, the Ottawa staff was very helpful and detail oriented, especially the staff member Mustafa who took the time to answer all the questions and make sure the application gets processed within days.

Not sure why all the bad reviews but my experience was flawless. Walked in for a UK Mobility Visa with an appointment and was seen right away. The staff was super helpful and organized. Scanned my documents there for a fee and was out in 20 minutes. The process was easy and stress-free. I got a UPS tracking number for my passport and documents and should be getting my result in less than two weeks. Great experience!

Ok so i was FREAKED out reading these reviews before I visited VFS. While the booking system is terrible and they do not provide a phone number or email to contact the Ottawa office (I directly asked for one and they still said no), my overall experience was okay. I was taken in straight away and didn’t have to wait at all. Got my passport back in 15 calendar days as they predicted.

It is impossible to reach anyone at this place for help. All I get is automated messages. I had to call the bank for guidance as I've been waiting two months for a refund for a canceled appointment and haven't received it. I paid twice for two appointments and the merchant told me not to worry and he would process my refund. How gross, they just take your money in order to book an appointment and then claim you will receive a refund you'll never see.

Vfs is the worst place you can have an experience of. After the decision being made for my UK visa, VFS has been delaying my passport and there is no contact no provided. Cant believe they deal with peoples important documents with such carelessness.

VFS helpline numbers and emails are useless, they also don't have any clue what happened to my application and passport.if anybody looking at this review from Ottawa VFS, please reach out to me and tell me what's going on? This is pathetic.

Update 11/8/2021: It has been 22 days since i submitted my application i have no idea where my passport is and status of my application. VFS tracking website gives me unexpected error.i called their customer care and emailed them about this issue but they are not able to help in any regard.at this point I am beginning to think if my application is still sitting in Ottawa VFS office.this is so frustrating.

10/18/2021: Aditya raj helped me with the application processing. Despite facing technical challenges with the bio metrics system, he offered to help me with other vfs center. Later because of his promptness i was able to submit my application. He was very helpful in the situation we faced.

Paying 3-4x for priority visa doesn't mean that your visa application would be processed on time either.

I have a couple things to say here. First of all, if you can go to any other Visa Center, Do. Unless you have an extra couple of hours to spare. If you need to catch a flight after your appointment you might miiss it. I arrived early for my appointment. I was seen 3 hours later. My appointment was not long, and was pretty concise, which I will give them that, but they did not accept many of my documents and just said they were online so i didnt need to include them.this is usually false, so please insist that they take them anyway to save yourself the hassle. 3 Hours late appointment where I was jjust sitting there with no explanation why it was taking so long. Very, very nice.
