Excellent place where I think you can find fresh, quality meat, incredibly neat facilities and very attentive, formidable staff!

I am regretfully am posting this negative review. Iv been shopping here loyaly for years.

After my last extremely large order $600-800 I expressed my unfortunate dissatisfaction about the box of burgers which were almost all frozer burnt (why they are not vacuumed sealed like most of the other stuff is beyond me)

And the box of rib eyes were absolutely terrible (they informed me they use all the left over undesirable puces for the boxes, that you can't see in, and they never showed me the interior even tho they claim they do this) for 120$ I wouldn't have even paid half that for it had I known.

After speaking with a manager there they said there was nothing they would do for me. They said I should email the owners, I sent them what I felt to be a very fair rundown of the situation with photos and videos of the products. I waited a month or so with no reply no with regret I'm sharing my story.

Moral of the story, check everything before you leave the store and stay away from anything on sale. I really am disappointed because I liked the idea of supporting a local family owned business, but after spending so much of my hard earned money and getting no customer service or response. This is based solely on the service provided tonight.
I drove with my toddler from hagersville to get a freezer bundle for an upcoming BBQ. I asked the counter employee if they had burgers and sausage freezer bundles.
He outright said no. I said your website said you do, he rolled his eyes and walked to the freezer.
Didn't bother checking for anything else and said burgers.
I went to look for alternatives in the freezer near the door.
Went to the cash to buy the only burgers box and he said you want or no? Rude and not helpful.
We've shopped here a ton and I tell everyone about it- too bad we will be going elsewhere for our BBQ this weekend.
He was tan, dark facial hair, accent and was working at 530pm Aug 3.

Love them but getting hard to keep paying these prices as they keep rising for quality meat.
$33 for 1.146 pound ribeye

I had to cancel our Thanksgiving order as both my husband and I got Covid just prior to the festivities (worst timing ever)
I reached out to Dave and explained the situation. He went above and beyond and not only reimbursed us our deposit with a gift card they provided us with a Turkey dinner for 2. I almost cried opening the box cause it made my heart full and knew that I would be able to enjoy a Turkey dinner which is by far my most favourite holiday. Thank you Dave and VG meats for your kind gesture and outstanding customer service.
Aside from the service the meats are second to none! High quality. Much better then any where else. Nothing compares. We always go to VG for our meat needs.

Tried to order some beef suet through store. Though I’d bring my business here instead of highland packers for a change. Big mistake! Ordered from the store and the main plant (spoke to employees each time who took my info and promised me that the order should take no longer than a day or two at the most). That was on August 11/2022. Heard nothing from either place so went in person at the Stoney creek store and placed a second order. Again reassured the order would be filled within a day or two. Called today (15th) and spoke to an employee who had no idea where the order was so asked if I wanted to place another one. I called another business who filled the order right away. I guess I’m saying you may want to think twice before placing any expensive orders because I don’t think that Veegee meats has good communication with the main plant and quality may suffer because of this. Buyer beware

Excellent meat quality. You can really taste the difference. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. So glad I found this place.

VG meats is a great little butcher in Stoney creek where you can find high quality steaks to cook. I go a couple times a month. Staff is also very knowledgeable to give you insights on what to choose depending on what you’re looking for / your needs.

We had ordered a 10lb turducken. It was amazing. If was dressed so well and was delicious after a day on the Kamado Joe. Thanks service and product was awesome.

I placed an order over the phone for a cooked turkey for Thanksgiving with stuffing and gravy about 4 days prior to picking it up. Once I arrived at the location just had to give my name pick up the cooked bird and was on my way. Simple as that.

Great experience and friendly staff.even in the midst of Covid precautions they served every customer with high service and I'm a sure a smile behind the mask.

I have supported this family business since it opened.
There meat is some of the most tasty there is.

Went to get 2 sandwiches at the Stoney Creek location, waited in the first line up for 20 mins then the young lady that was preparing the sandwiches.if she went any slower she’d be going backwards! My husband got so fed up he just left one of the guys came running out with the sandwiches a couple mins later but it was too late we were very upset. So unless you have tons of time to spare.and are extremely patient that the place to go. Yes I realize there is a pandemic but her sorry excuse for customer service was inexcusable.

Huge selection of quality meats. Very knowledgable and friendly staff. They also have a small grocery section of local produce and products. Highly recommend a visit!

Have been ordering meat for a few months now. The turkey I ordered for Christmas was amazing! Quality and service is top-notch. Thank you VG meats!

Occasionally I get nice steak here but the Denver cut is awful. More often than not they're inedible.

Female with brown hair working behind sandwich counter is extremely rude and hard to deal with.
I’ve overheard other customers referencing her poor attitude too! Just isn’t me.

Got our first Farm to City delivery today! Very happy. Wasn’t home when it was delivered, but it was left out of sight of the road which was wonderful. The quality difference from VG compared to big grocery retailers is amazing. You CAN taste the difference. As someone who needs to stay on budget as well, prices are 100% reasonable for the great quality. We are well stocked now! Looking forward to becoming a loyal customer!:)

Been a few times. Everytime its been good. Quality meats. The Bacon ends are awesome! Brisket was very good as well. NY strips Fantastic

Picked up a beautiful Tomahawk ribeye to have this weekend with my dad and it was hands down the best steak we have ever eaten. The meat was incredibly tender and flavourful. IT came perfectly trimmed already so no extra cleanup was needed. 10/10 I will be buying all of my steaks from VG meats from now on.

Bought 10 lbs of hotdogs there, they're fantastic. Wish their website accepted debit for delivery.

I'm a meat lover. I mean I LOVE meat. And I know how to cook a steak properly, so that wasnt the issue. I was convinced to try their dry aged beef. While not the worst steak by any means, this meat did not live up to the hype.by far. The turkeys we got were juicy and delicious, and they have a great selection of accessories, but if you will excuse the pun, the dry aged beef left a bad taste in my mouth.

Excellent service, very friendly staff. Love that they carry Picard's peanuts and sponge toffee there. Also the store made sweet mashed potatoes in the large containers taste amazing, are reasonably priced and convenient. I hope they will continue to carry these in the future.

Have been eating VG meat since I was a kid and my parents shopped at the location in Simcoe. Fresh product at fair prices.

By far the best place to get quality meat products and everything that goes with it, made locally! More importantly than having fantastic products, the family service that they give is unreal. I say family because I DO NOT feel like a customer; rather a member of the VG family.

VG only recently stepped into my life and is going to be here forever. I've tried many of their meats and have now upgraded to their aged beef.

Oh my.if you don't know.now you know!
