Via Marzo has hands down some of the best Italian food you can get in the Ottawa area. Their portions are big and pricing is very reasonable.

They also have a ton of options for people who are Gluten Free which as a lover of pasta is greatly appreciated!

The service and staff are absolutely fantastic at Via Marzo, and you can tell they are loved by the community for how busy their restaurant is. They are kind and extremely friendly.

Absolutely delicious food with a cozy relaxed atmosphere! I’ve eaten there 3 times and everything from the appetizers, the mains to the desserts were excellent. Also I think you have to be a very friendly and attentive server to work there because I had someone different each time and they were wonderful. I will go back for sure!

We had a great meal at ViaMarzo! The service was friendly and prompt and the food was delicious. We were a group of six and sampled appetizers, pizza, pasta, meat/fish entrees, and desserts. Three people at the table had the chicken parmesan and were very happy with it. All the food we tasted was prepared well and flavourful and the portions were a nice size. We'll be back again.

Having a great dinner with my family. The food was great, especially a pizza topping with pears and bacon which was the best pizza I have had in my life even in Italy. The service was classic, and the decorations are in a modern style. I will recommend to my friends.

Amazing time at Via Marzo, appetizers and main courses went really well. My grandson loved each and every bite of calamari, grilled hallumy and lasagna. The ragú pappardelle was just a great treat. Service by Lisa was the best. We will come back!

I was not blown away with the food. Feedback to the chef: add some flavour and spices. Service was amazing, even though the restaurant was full on a week night.

We celebrated a monumental birthday yesterday and the atmosphere, food & service met all our individual expectations. Service and kitchen staff easily accommodated to food allergies/restrictions.

We had the grilled halloumi, 3 cheese manicotti, caprese salad, sangria and an espresso martini. Everything was perfect:)

A great little restaurant in the far north of Kanata, friendly and knowledgeable staff who serve a wonderful selection of Italian and Mediterranean dishes in a bright and airy space.

We tried the warmed olives and halloumi (delicious) followed by the prosciutto and mushroom linguine for my wife (who ate the lot) while I had the halibut special.

Seriously good food cooked by someone who is passionate about the cuisine and we have so many more dishes to try, this makes me happy.

Had a lovely dinner with my hubby celebrating part of our 20th anniversary. We throughly enjoyed the food, the atmosphere and decor and the excellent friendly and professional service Lisa gave us with menu suggestions and drinks. I highly recommend this nice little Italian hidden gem dinning.

We cannot say enough good things about the service, atmosphere and food. Amber (Janet) took very good care of us. The venue is quiet, quaint and laid back. We had everything from mussels to seared tuna to lamb ragu to paella and all were perfectly cooked, timed and presented. We look forward to returning soon for their legendary pizza.

Everything we had was delicious. The seafood we ordered was cooked to absolute perfection. The service was top notch, and the atmosphere was lovely. I can't wait for my next visit!

Celebrated a 50th birthday after the power was out for days for this restaurant. The power was returned only that morning and we were not an easy crowd. Kudos!

Great family run restaurant with delicious food.
I have been twice in the same week. Fresh pasta with yummy sauces, fab caesar salad, warm lemon cake and a tea pot that does not drip! The pizza looked amazing being delivered to another table.
Beautiful interior with friendly service. We will return!

We tried for the first time tonight and couldn't have been more satisfied!
We tried a bit of everything.pizza, lasagna, caprese salad and pear/beet salad. It was all delicious. The caprese was impressive with big slices of cheese and the tomatoes although off season were tasty too!

Great addition to Kanata north specially with Covid closing few businesses in the plaza. We went as a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids). The decor and vibe of the restaurant is modern and cozy. I liked that they kept their windows open and did not make the room very dark. Every table was full.

Service was excellent and flawless. The food was delicious and of high quality. We ordered appetizers (fattoush and Calamari), for mains, the kids got margarita pizza and smoked salmon pizza. They loved it. Adults ordered the lamb ragu pappardelle and Prosciutto/Mushroom Linguini with Parmesan creamy sauce. For desert we got the lemon cake. For drinks, negronis/margarita for adults and apple juice/gingerale for the kids. Everything was perfection from our POV.

We will definitely return and try their other dishes.

I ordered for take out the soup of the day, which was a beet soup, it was delicious. I also had a Cesar salad with salmon and it was really good. The warm and cold items were placed in two separated bags and it was perfect when I arrived home. I would definitely recommend this new restaurant.

What a gem in the heart of Kanata! Our family went for dinner and there wasn't any dish we tried that wasn't amazing - the appetizers and the mains (unfortunately there was no room for desert). The Sangria was so good too. This is our new fav Italian restaurant. We are already planning to go again.
