Would've given them at least 4 stars if it wasn't for a waitress' expectation of a tip. For sure, their attitude was not the most enviable this time, which was pretty consistent with their past history

Will never pay another visit for the following reasons:
1. Literally asked me to leave when I was messaging my friends after I finished my bowl of pho there
2. Found out that the soup in their pho was tasteless and asked them about it. Just 1 minute later after they took my bowl of pho back into the kitchen, all three flavours were in. This suggests that 99% of the flavours of their soups comes from MSG
3. Ordered their pineapple fried rice that came in half a pineapple as the container. When I asked to take the 1/2 pineapple home along with the unfinished fried rice, I was told "No, you can't due to York Region's Department of Health's regulations. " This was obviously a lie but the reason behind it is self-explanatory. They need to reuse the pineapple shell for another order!
4. Charging $0.25 for using debit card to pay for the food is unheard of at any restaurant. Credit cards, of course, are not welcome there

Late review, this cup of red bean ice is not smoothie but crushed ice, and half of the cup is filled with ice. I can only say that the price of this red bean ice is more than 4 yuan. It is indeed a little slap on the thigh. The straw is too thin and cannot be sucked at all, and the beef is also relatively dry. It's chewy. The shrimp pickles are saltier and a little lighter. The chicken oil rice is not interesting enough. The attitude of the waiter needs to be improved. I'm not here to eat the Overlord meal. Two people ate more than 50 yuan after adding tip. I can say that I may not come here next time. I hope the management can improve these problems. When things get better, I will definitely come again.

I visited yesterday for a quick, casual dinner. Service was quick and efficient. I ordered the House special, small size and the fried spring rolls. The Pho was really good and pretty filling. Generous portion and great price compared to other places I visited in North York. I have eaten at this place in the past on three other occasions. Highly recommend. One waitress was intuitive; when I was thinking of asking for another napkin, she passed by, noticed and slipped a few extra to me without me having to ask. This is how good the service is.

Not recommended, rude servers. They gave us a wrong order but they have the audacity to give us attitude and nobody even say sorry! They did not also give us enough time to choose what we really like to order because the waitress was rushing us! For sure we will NEVER come back AGAIN!

Food was normal as other pho. Was asking at least 10 percent tip even when I was out of the restaurant. Very rude. Will never go there.

Friendly staff & plenty of food/beverage choices. Marinated meat aren't salty which is good for healthier diet.

This place has been opened as far as I can remember (since 2004 when I first came to Canada). My old favorite when I'm craving for hot noodles. The best pho in my opinion in Ontario.

Dined in recently. Dividers still around. They’ve reduced the amount of servers but service was still good. Food came really quick and they didn’t skimp out. Although the price increased, I’ll still come back here for my pho fix.

Extremely bad customer service, mediocre food, worker questioned why i didn’t tip, and i answered that the service was not good. She told me to not come back?

Supprisingly bad service，negative emotion，and force you to pay tips！Also，even ask you to seat where they assign for you，if you reject，they will be unpleasant and not even giving a tissue until asked！Not recommended.

Never disappoints. Have been coming here since I was young and we always order pho. Very consistent in terms of taste, quality and quantity. I love that the meat is soft unlike some places where the meat becomes too chewy. Have yet to try other dishes, as the price for appetizers such as the shrimp rolls (2 pieces) is quite high compared to others that give 4 pieces. But overall, great place for a quick bite.

Went there with my family. And eat. They gave us wrong order. But we took so it does not waste. And when time to pay. Was asking 10 percent tip. I told her it customer wish.how many percent to give. In return she told me why did I come.and eat That was so rude. Will never go there. I hope everyone get this message. I work in restaurants for 20 yrs where we never ask customer for tip. Instead we say. Thank you

That's where I go.once a month.malaysian curry laksa.satay curry. Great choices.easy on your wallet and adequate quantities.

I was really surprised and upset with so many negative comments and postings for this restaurant. I frequented this pho place for many years including during the pandemic outdoor dining. I never had any takeout so I do not want to comment on this part!
Overall I rate this restaurant a five stars! Aside from my personal experience, I bring occasionally also friends and family. Everytime I find the food, prices, waitresses are all super good. Am I the lucky one so many times or the unlucky ones expectations for a fast paced food joint far exceeds their desire to have a decent pho meal, fair prices menu and mostly underpaid servers!? Pay a decent tips to the people who are frontline workers risking their health, their families health to try to make a living. Help yourself and stop being negative! Spread kindness and you will be rewarded.

I've been eating with Noodle Star since my arrival in Canada in 2007.great delicious food and amazing weight to the plate for the price unfortunately yesterday was my last time heading there. My family has had several doubts about that restaurant and today had been confirmed. I found an insect in my food, dead and cooked

Unfortunate and disappointing. Please don't trust your food in restaurants and always make sure it is well prepared! Becareful what you eat and where the food comes from.

Bought dinner set B and H. Foods are tasty and price are fair even there wa extra 2 dollars charge for take out. Will go there again!

Best pho in Scarborough! Try it with ketchup seasoning for that awesome extra punch. Highly recommended for all ages.

They changed management and chef, taste of food poor, very disappointed. No business, only few guests, obviously not like before. Will not go again.

Average pho, wrong noodles, broth was tasteless but the beef was ok, recommend viet food in the surrounding area

Don't think this review will have any impact to the restaurant but whoever decide to eat here, can take it as a warning.

To be fair, the food was Ok, but the service was awful. After a long tiring day, my friend and I walked to this restaurant and hope to have a happy meal. But everything after that is just annoyed. We walked in at 10: 25pm and wanted to dine in (the restaurant closed at 11: pm), but they just did not want to serve us. I understood their difficulty because I have worked in hospitality industry as well so I promised that we would eat quickly and leave early.

Luckily, they let us in. Everything was so rush. I ordered two small bowls of House special Pho right away (didn't even have time to look at the menu). After 10 minutes, the food had come with the bills. The bills cost $24,87 which I believe included HST, service charge and tip because (in the menu the price of 1 small bowls of Pho is $8.99 so two of small Pho: $8.99x2= $17.98), it is normal because many restaurant do the same thing. I paid $25 cash, after 2 minutes they came back with some change in a small black tray. I said they could keep the change and give them back the tray, but they BASH the tray back on the table and told me that I had to tips. I was so confused. I didn't know how much should I tip more, I asked them how much? , they said: 2 dollars, 2 dollars. We gave them 2 dollars and left right away. (did not have the mood to eat any more).

Well, I don't mind to tip more but I believe tipping should be willingly not pushing. If you guys restaurant want the tips so badly, you guys can put it in the bill and let the customers know at the first place. Don't think I am gonna come back to this place ever again.

More expensive, suck service. The server is very rude and has a temper on her. Very bad experience. The server doesn't even wanna bring the bill to the patio. I go to this restaurant before the pandemic once or twice a week. But now, i will never go there anymore. Train your servers, some of them are very impolite!

Been a loyal customer for the past 15 years and yet lately it has been nothing short of disappointments…hopefully they can recognize the shortcomings and make adjustments soon.

I like this place. I usually have set dishes that I eat here and they are good. I always eat their chicken stake with egg on top with rice and I love this dish here. Chicken stake is good size. Prices are also good, not high and dish have enough food to fill you up.

It is not the greatest place for Vietnamese food but definitely a good place to enjoy decent VT food for good price.

This was one of my favourite spot in Scarb. My most recent experience eating at this place left me disappointed with the service and food quality. The price for the noodles are pretty good but the quality isn’t as good. There are plenty of other places in the area to go to if you are looking for noodle and soup dish.

I loved this restaurant a lot, and I used to go there.but recently I feel like the quality of the food is not as good as before, and price is up a bit, I feel a little disappointed and hope the quality can keep it up like before.

I love this place there, pho taste AMAZING there is no there place that has better pho then them! The employees are soo nice too!

Pictures ate deceiving but I came here thinking this place will have a vietnamese vibe/atmosphere it did not at all. The Pho is very salty and lack in the essential Pho aroma like star Anis, cloves, cinnamon etc. I'm a bad cook I can make it better than this place. Sorry I will give this place a hard pass.

Used to love this place and came her a lot but lately the food quality has gone down a lot. I guessed that’s also why the restaurant is a lot of quieter than before.

I’ve been going to this place for many years now and never been disappointed, friendly staff, delicious food, clean place and facilities. The curry beef soup is so good that it makes it pretty hard for me to try something new here, the Thai fried rice it pretty amazing as well. Price is reasonable. Love it!

Love their pho and vermicelli bowls. Staff are very friendly and attentive, will for sure be coming back.

The house special (soup) is excellent! I've had this in other restaurants, but does not compare. Very delicious, left with a full belly without burning my wallet.

Very dirty bathrooms. Waitresses have no manners, they shout out loud to customers where they have to sit. It's really a low class restaurant. The restaurant smells like a dog. I am not joking.

Cheap, fast, and so so so good! Raw beef noodle soup is one of my favs (#1100). My other favourites #1505 lemon grass beef, 901 spring rolls and their satay chicken sticks!

This place went down hill...

Very rude workers now and doesn't look like they're willing to help when customers are asking for it. I get that sometimes people have bad days but it's not once but every time we've come in.

The food is alright now.

Washroom is tiny so I wouldn't even want to use it if I were you.

Pho is good & Flavourful. Prices are very reasonable. Wings are great. Spicy clams are good. Servers could smile more:)

This place used to be good. This time, the beef wasn’t fresh nor was the broth hot enough. Not only that, I waited 20 mins to be seated but the waitress was already standing next to my table with a towel (as a sign that it’s busy and I need to hurry) this was only 10 mins after being seated which took 5-7 for my food to arrive. I will take my business elsewhere. Wish them luck if they’re gonna continue like this.

Food was not bad. Service was horrible. The waitress cleaned our table in a rush, dropped the used spoon on my pants and did not even bother to apologize.

Worst experience ever, the food taste is ok but what a service, also (I got really bad food poisoning)

My family and I love coming here, but today I felt disgusted. We stopped eating the moment we squirted the fish sauce bottle and this little bug came out. I always have thought it was a little off that the lids for the oyster sauce and fish sauce were broken off, but I thought It was just from over time usage. Hopefully they start putting into different bottles when the lid breaks off or dont purposely break it off.

First time coming here and they served me pho in lukewarm temperature. Have not tried the other dishes but a noodle place that can't get its noodles right speaks a lot.

Vermicelli with spring rolls and lemon grass chicken $9.99 Portion is big, food is freshly made. Place is busy weekend night time, but waitresses are responsive and quick.

Simply wowed ever for the first time since 1996, yes, that’s when I first visited this place, saw it grow, try to expand.but evidently, the management failed and finally now, the service. At the possibly the most loyal ever customer, ever since I was 12 years old, this was one of my favourites to go for pho, now, it can be what it once were.

I waited for 27 mins with no other than tea. I mean the pho was not made immediately, namely the broth, right? Well, maybe at this place if you’re willing to wait.

Forgot to mention it was 8: 30PM, on a Wednesday with about 6 other customers.

We're always at Vietnam Noodle Star if we're here for a doctor's appointment, once or twice a year. We've got the House Special, but this time we went it seems the quality went down, the broth wasn't great and the beef was not that great either.  

The restaurant was busy and you really need to flag down the server.  

They used to take credit cards, however in this visit, they say only cash and debit card was available.
