Our experience with Village Chrysler has been more than unique: it’s been special. We brought our Ford to a Chrysler dealership to trade in for a Volkswagen - a truly Canadian car story. The service and care we received from the staff - especially from our salesperson, Zach, and service manager, Tyrone, was over and above, and above and beyond. They saw to our every need, got us a great price for our trade-in, found us a great car, and made sure we didn’t leave until we were satisfied. Even afterwards, when I got a flat tire two days after leaving the lot with our new/used car, they brought me in for service and managed to expedite repairs despite being in the middle of winter tire swap season. I recently acquired a pre-owned vehicle from this establishment. Unfortunately, my experience with the car has been far from satisfactory right from the start. Upon inspecting the vehicle, I identified several issues that needed to be addressed before I could take it home. I made it clear that I would not accept the car until these issues were properly resolved.

After the necessary repairs were made, I finally took the car home during the winter season. However, as the summer months approached and the weather became warmer, I noticed that the air conditioning system was not functioning properly. I promptly returned the car to the dealership on two separate occasions to have the issue addressed. Despite their assurances that the problem had been resolved, it became evident that their claims were untrue.

It is disappointing to note that the dealership had marketed this car as being in optimal condition for a used vehicle. However, it has become increasingly apparent that this car has more issues than any other vehicle I have previously owned. I strongly advise against placing trust in or making any purchases from these unscrupulous individuals. Their deceptive practices and dishonesty mark them as nothing short of scam artists and crooks.

These are the people that give used car sales man a bad name.

Update: I recently brought my car to a reputable mechanic who successfully identified the root cause of the problem. Throughout this frustrating experience, which involved numerous FALSE statements from Village Chrysler and countless arguments that wasted a significant amount of my time, it became evident that the issue was something they were completely unaware of OR MOST LIKELY LIED ABOUT BACUSE THEY DIDNT WANT TO FIX IT.

I cannot stress this enough: I strongly advise against purchasing anything from these dishonest individuals who lack professionalism and competence.

I just purchased a vehicle from Village Chrysler, it was a great experience! They helped me throughout every step. My truck was on it way out a I need a new one. They didn’t push me into a purchase. The sales people David Chan and Darren Nesbitt are friendly and extremely knowledgeable with the product they are selling. The business manager Karri Lopes help to find the payment and extra add on a that worked for me instead of selling me the most expensive one. The service department also helped me transfer my bed slide to my new vehicle. I would recommend shopping at Village Chrysler.

Update! Update! To Mary Ann's review. Village Chrysler pride themselves as the go-to place in the Greater Toronto area. Incorrect. They are the Go-to-Place in Southern Ontario. Car buying can be a horrible experience. Customer service and customer retention not a priority.
After payment, etc, Ahmad was walking us out and spotted some trim body damage that had gone unnoticed during the initial inspection. Paperwork completed, car paid for, this was now my problem. NOT SO. Zach West, used car sales manager, without hesitation, said that he would not accept a car this way, and neither should we. He gave us 2 options. 1. Get the car repaired at a place of our choice and send him the bill or 2. Bring the car back after the weekend, he would give us a rental, when fixed Village Chrysler would return the car to Hamilton and pick up the rental. We brought the car back and took the rental option. It took a week, $425 new trim ordered & replaced. Are we happy. For Sure.
Additionally a promotion by Village Chrysler came out after we bought our. No problem, we received an additional $500 as per the promotion. Check these folks out. Need a Car, Want a Car – Go to Village Chrysler, it is worth the drive.

I booked an appointment for tire change and alignment on Nov 22 2022 at 9: 30 am.

I arrived on time. I was quoted $299 for both and later discovered there was a platinum package that includes storage as well while the service rep did not mention that while he was taking me in. When I pointed that out then he said he will give me that offer.

Secondly they took 4 hours to do tire change, I kept on calling them as every time he said they have lot of customers, I said why you overbooked people.

After 4 hours the rep called me and recommended no use of wheel alignment. I said have you not started yet?

Bad service, long waiting, my whole day was wasted. This was my first experience with village Chrysler and I will not return to this workshop again.

Good part was the concierge service and shuttle service. Sales people are also good. And yes they have a very fancy coffee machine free to use.

My wife and I had to buy a new vehicle during this pandemic and a lot of dealerships we contacted would not provide a test drive. Igor Nazarian (Naz) helped us out tremendously. He had a company sanitize the vehicle we bought before and after our test drive for the safety of us and everyone else. The vehicle we purchased was ready earlier than stated despite we had asked for a few add ons, and they had few staff on hand. We are really satisfied with our vehicle and we are not only happy with Village Chrysler, but as well as with Naz. Highly recommended Village Chrysler. Ask for Naz.

These guys are just after your money. Went in with one problem to fix. But they identified 5 more (I had no other issue) and charged me a hell lot of money. In the end, the problem I had was not even fixed. So I had to go again and pay for diagnosis, repair, parts and so on and on.
And they do t care if you are unhappy. Because they know we have to come back.

Avoid going to this dealership for any kind of reason.
Took my vehicle there for oil change, asked them to check the seat as it doesn’t fold down properly. The service advisor wrote on the paper if not cover by warranty, will be $140+tax fee or will be charged a check up fee.
After I left, I feel like if that’s the case, I will just leave it, called back to let them know I don’t need them to check my seat. Service advisor immediately told me they are already checking and refused to cancel the service. Horrible business trying to make a buck, not putting customer first. Never going back. Hope you guys close down asap, and you guys will.

EDIT: While the service was great, two personal belongings are no longer in my vehicle after being left at Village Chrysler for repairs. I mentioned it to one of the service advisors, who was very apologetic and said he would call me back. Never received a call. Unfortunately, I shouldn't have to remove any valuable items from my vehicle before leaving it at a dealership to prevent them from being taken, but such is the world these days. Service was great, remove your valuables before leaving your vehicle anywhere overnight. 5 stars for the service, down to 2 stars because I have to replace two rather expensive items.

I had a vacuum leak and I was unable to locate it myself after searching around for it. After another dealership falsely diagnosed it and tried to charge me $800 to fix it, I brought it to Village and they were able to identify the issue right away and get it fixed for me. I can't recommend them enough, Barb is a pleasure to work with and has been super helpful.

Don't waste your time going to other dealerships, just bring it to Village and get it done right the first time.

My husband and I purchased a pre-owned vehicle from this dealership. As an employee of this auto group I did not except the caliper of customer service that I received. We were greeted with smiles and received the service that any other customer would experience. Bill was our sales rep, and Jay was the sales manager that reviewed our purchase. They both made us feel comfortable even brought us coffee while we waited for the paperwork. You will not regret buying from this dealer!

I strongly recommend never going to this dealership. They don’t even deserve One star. You would have better luck taking your Dodge Chrysler product to a Ford dealer to get it repaired. A dealership that can’t honour their own warranty on the work they have performed should not be in business. Currently in talks with Chrysler head office to resolve the issue.

I had check gas cap message come on in my 2008 Sebring so took the car in to the dealer in Ajax. Ming assisted to the matter remedied to my satisfaction. Excellent work Ming and Steve, I'll definitely return in the future and highly recommend the team there.

Working with the Village team was an absolute pleasure! Ming, my service advisor is extremely patient, I never felt pressured to make a decision, and most importantly, a professional - who knows the car business inside and out. I was impressed with his level of professionalism and knowledge he displayed; he really did go above and beyond coordinating the proper tests, inspections and assigning the right personnel to complete the work. They also kept me well informed along the way about their findings, timing and next steps. There are not many service centers that will bring you back to meet the mechanic (Adrian) to explain his findings along with the options available to me. They really do treat you like family. I have been taking my Jeeps to Village for over 10 years and highly recommend their services.

My Dodge Dart was in pretty bad shape last week (i.e. Tune-up was not done in a while, my car also hadn't been cleaned in a long time). I'm sharing this positive experience because of quality of care shown to me during my interaction with the entire team. From Ming, to Glenn from the Parts division.

I never thought about the cost I paid bc of the quality, and clarity of our conversations made the difference.

I am DISGUSTED with the experience I recently had at Village Dodge. DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES WITHOUT A SECOND OPINION.

I have purchased my three vehicles from this location with no issues in the past. I took my truck in for a leak in the manifold. I asked if there were any other issues wrong with the truck that would be covered under warranty. I paid for the extended warranty and wasn’t sure how many KM’s I had left. To my surprise, I was told that I did not have any warranty left, and if I wanted all the other issues fixed, I would have to pay a whopping $5000. Five thousand dollars is a lot of money, so I said I would pass until another time. Village Dodge responded with "we have to sell you something since you are not getting the work done". I got an oil change done that cost me $246. That is an insane amount of money for an oil change that I was told I had to buy. My family recently moved out of town, so we took the truck into Dodge in Norwood, ON, to get a second opinion. I was called the following day with the other problems fixed on my truck, with no charge. Dodge Norwood told us that my truck was still covered under warranty, and even said I had another 8000km’s and should bring it back in one day to see if there is anything else wrong that could be fixed before my warranty ran out. Very different stories. Thank goodness for Dodge Norwood. Thank goodness for honest, hard working people. Village Dodge should be ASHAMED. I will never, ever take my vehicles to Village Dodge again. Hopefully this review helps someone else from being financially drained from these CROOKS. Absolutely appalled at the downright DISHONEST PEOPLE at Village Dodge.

We purchased our last two Ram trucks at village (in the old location) and always had a great experience! The couple of services items that we have had performed by them were completed quickly and without any issues! Unfortunately due to limited stock these days we had to get our newest Ram at another dealer but will continue to go to village for any service items!

Good service, was told they would work to reduce the price as much as they could and they ended up knocking off 300$.
Good explanations of the problems, fast service (same day), knowledgeable staff that cares about getting the work done well.
We worked with Mr. Man, who is very helpful and easy to talk to, he helped get the lower price.

Some employees need to work on the masks though.

My original experience in sales was a 5 star. Since the move to the new location the service side has dropped dramatically. Seems like alot of new and inexperienced technicians. I brought imy ram in for 3 problems, the technician claimed "no fault found". As soon as I drove away all 3 problems were present. Very disappointing. They even kept it over night. I dont feel like this dealership has the knowledge to fix problems. It's probably a blessing in disguise, the tech might have done more damage than good. Barb the service Advisor was great, nice, and responsive. Although Barb was great I will not return due to the lack of skill and knowledge required to fix complicated vehicles of today.

We bought a demo Ram from Joe, he was fantastic. Laid back and easy to talk to. If you want a sales man who's honest and not pushy then Joe is the one you want. We went in with a bunch of questions, he responded quickly and honestly. He was also willing to negotiate a fair deal. Derek the manager also took care of us. We had a dent repaired and when I picked it up there was another dent. He didn't even hesitate to take care of it. Fantastic service.
I'll definately be buying my next vehicle here.

Last time I went to menzies they scratched my car, the paint fleck was on the pavement and they said I did it, also their sales tactics are so aggressive, TELLING me what I want instead of asking.

Since purchasing my vehicle from them in 2016 I always take it to Village Chrysler for any issues. I really like the new location, as they now offer more of a full service like other dealerships such as getting the car washed afterwards. Ming was my advisor this time and he did a good job of communicating the required repairs. It’s always easy to get an appointment with them and the communication is great.

The good. My bumper skin replaced after a long wait for the part! (Covid caused delay)
Console replaced!
The bad. They told me a couple of hours to replace part. It was over 4 hours plus console was 15 minutes to replace which stretched into 45 mins so over all 5 hours.
No one bothered to tell me dealer had moved locations so it was good I arrived 1/2 hour early and I made my appointment 5 mins early.
I texted advisor for updates as prescribed by them and 2 times no response.

Weird intermittent noise from my new Pacifica. It scared my wife to drive it. They figured out a fishing line rumbled on brake. Friendly staff and experienced tech. My wife is so happy to drive it again. It is reasonable charge for the service. But pricy for trout! Thank you, Jeff.

Absolutely terrible service experience, first bad experience, I waited 3.5hrs for a oil change due to drama between workers in the garage and finally get my truck and oil was overfilled. So I told myself I would never return again. I finally got over it and thought I would give them another chance to redeem themselves. So I booked an appointment and upon arrival I very calmly explained my past experiences. When I was checking in a customer beside me had popped in asking "what are the chances of getting in, I havnt been here before". He was told that he could get in in 15-20min. So I myself had a appointment for 3 and was there at 10min to 3. Went over to McDonald's, ate a ice cream cone and went back to dealer and found the walk in customers truck was in before me, grrrr! I then just left and will never give them my money again. Other small details that were very annoying to but review long as is.

Terrible place to deal with a decade ago and still the same. Ridiculous prices for service work. Quote 12 hours on a 2 hour job. Defective cylinder head covered under extended warranty "maybe" but they have to tear down the engine first at my expense then they'll "decide" if it's covered. Avoid at all costs.

By far the worst customer service I have received in my life. Bought a brand new ram from this dealer and sales was exceptional but the service team since.worst reps ever. Especially service advisor Jeff. Brought my car in for AC recharge (brand new truck AC didn't blow cold). Told me that it was fine and they checked the Temps and that once i start driving it will get cold. Long story short, it still blows room temp air and Jeff has said that he will not help me. My 1998 honda civic blows colder air than this. You can buy a car here but AVOID SERVICE DEPARTMENT at all costs.

Day after both reviews I got a email showing after two weeks since had truck I finally have the 4 free oil changes promised but the at cost stuff for truck not mentioned. I done fighting will just buy my stuff elsewhere. This dealership has been such a head ache.

After being lied to about first truck being a hemi by sales man the sales manager did go out of his way and made right. Which I do appreciate but he too lied to me and doesn't fallow through with anything else. At time of pick up I was promised 4 free oil changes and stuff for my truck at cost due to the Hassel I had to go through. Almost two weeks later and two more conversations of being promised he will be adding to system. It's still not in system and he still hasn't emailed me proof. Now waiting for service department to talk to him and call me back. On top of this I just went to take tonneau cover they installed off and saw before touching that the plastic n metal is bent out on truck were handle is. Not happy Next step General Manger.

I was recently in the market for a new truck and visited several dealerships in the Durham area. What I found at Village Chrlysler was a no pressure buying experince with people that actually listen to what you want and dont try and steer you into pricey alternatives. We purchased a 2021 Dodge Ram from the sales team led by Manger Derek Butler who was an absolute pleasure to deal with. At the end of the day we got a great truck for a great price with no hidden fees or costs. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone in the market for a new or used vehicle.

Bought a car, they told me 100% they have a car for me. Took my deposit and went through all the credit checks.
Never followed up, so I had to do so myself multiple times over 3 weeks. Every time I called they told me not to worry, they are working on it and would get back to me shortly. End result - they said they couldn't find a car.
Very poor communication and execution at this dealership.

Easter Sunday my throttle body and check engine lights came on my 2017 wrangler. Called on the Monday and was told to come in. When I got to Village Chrysler I was told that if the part was not covered under warranty it would be $130+tax. I asked if the throttle body was covered and told there was no way of knowing without diagnosing with the possible charge. Sure enough a few hours later I get the call. Well your basic warranty ran out a few months ago and you need a new throttle body. Charge is $130+ tax to diagnose and over $1000 to fix. OK, I bought this vehicle 2.5 years ago and it has 44k km. Not covered? I was told the part was over $600 plus labor. I told them the part at Napa is $250 and literally 4 bolts. Response to that from the service person" I really don't care". Paid the $146 and left. Called FCA head office and was told it's the dealers discretion if they want to cover it or not. Awful!

The worst dealership to exist.ive taken my jeep there for diagnostics and all they did was clear the light, moment i drove off the light came back on, they had no idea what was wrong.took it to another and they found and fixed tge problem, arranged a rental and no issues followed.a simple oil change at village is a number of problems to come.i just did one and my engine light came on, they take no responsibility for it even though they did work on it and nothing was there prior.all Jeff said was bring it in we have to see if it was stored or new.what does it matter, youre aware it wasnt on prior to coming in otherwise you would have charged a fee to test.

VILLAGE IS THE WORST DEALERSHIP.

This is my 3rd Dodge caravan I have bought from this dealership and have been treated well. My 2nd vehicle was a total loss in an accident after 2 1/2 years and just recently bought a new 2020 Demo.
The staff have been great looking after all my needs in this stressful time.

I came in for an oil change last Friday. It was pretty last minute but they booked me an appointment for only a couple hours ahead of time which I thought was nice. Jethro was my service advisor when I arrived. He suggested I do a fuel injector cleaning as it has never been done. I agreed to do it as I thought it would be beneficial. Of course this would add time but they were very quick with my truck. Jethro and I then spoke about other services I should be doing soon which I will be coming back to these guys for. I had a lot of questions about when I should be doing certain things on the truck and Jethro was very patient and informative. Good service is often overlooked and people talk about more about the bad than the good. I think that Jethro and whoever else was involved with my service should be recognized as it was a very good experience.

I recently purchased a Jeep Wrangler from Sean at Village chrysler. He was very knowledgeable and made the car buying process stress free. I will be back for my next vehicle and would highly recommend Village chrysler.

I would rate my experience in the negative category if possible. Over Christmas, my 2016 Ram 5500, broke down. This is a mid sized commercial dump truck purchased, upfitted and warranted as a plow/salt truck.
Due to boxing day, I called my mobile technician and requested a service for my truck to fulfill our clients needs. My tech diagnosis was a "range sensor". Parts stores were not open until Monday.
As Monday morning arrived I called the dealer to see if this was under power train warranty. To which it was (providing that was actual issue)
Dec. 28/21, the truck was diagnosed with a "ring sensor and shifter cable".
Jet, the advisor in this scenario advised me that my parts were possibly warrantied, but on back order with zero knowledge of availability. The worst part was that Jet said they were going to "bump" my truck outside. Jet apologized that he had no solution.

I called my mobile technician again to see if he was confident on his diagnosis. That afternoon Dec. 29/21 was truck was repaired in a dirt lot with aftermarket parts.

I drove straight to the dealer (Village) and spoke to Josh Poori, the service manager. He had agreed to pay the invoice in one week and agreed that Jet had handled this poorly.
One month later I am out the $600 plus dollars and zero communication from these pathetic service providers. This will go legal shortly.

PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THE DEALERSHIP. I have spent over 500k on the product in the last ten years.

I took my Jeep in for its first oil change and detailing, the staff at the service counter were friendly and helpful. I didn't buy my Jeep from Village but wish I did after the service I received!

I just bought my new vehicle at this location and I have to say it was a very positive experience. Sean was a great guy to work with on ordering my Jeep and was straightforward and honest through the whole process. Every person I met with from reception to finance to service was helpful, polite, and welcoming and made the whole experience great. Highly recommended.

They were knowledgeable and fixed my issue straight away. All without an appointment. Sometimes it's worth it just to go straight to the dealership. It may cost a bit more $ but the service was spectacular.

We bought a demo Ram from Joe, he was fantastic. Laid back and easy to talk to. If you want a sales man who's honest and not pushy then Joe is the one you want. We went in with a bunch of questions, he responded quickly and honestly. He was also willing to negotiate a fair deal. Derek the manager also took care of us. We had a dent repaired and when I picked it up there was another dent. He didn't even hesitate to take care of it. Fantastic service.
I'll definately be buying my next vehicle here.

Last time I went to menzies they scratched my car, the paint fleck was on the pavement and they said I did it, also their sales tactics are so aggressive, TELLING me what I want instead of asking.

Great service from Sean getting me setup with my new Jeep. The sales manager worked out a fair deal with me on my trade in and threw in some extras for me. Overall I am happy with my purchase.

I took my Chrysler here as my van had, what seemed like breaking issues. I was going on a long drive with my children on the weekend so I wasn’t taking any chances. I was told it would cost me $130 just to be looked at for labor hourly rates. Which I was fine with. But then I was informed that the vans breaks were completely shot and seized and all breaks/pads/rotors needed replacing. They told me that all of this would cost me $1500 and that I should do it before taking my kids any where. I took it to an independent mechanic who looked at it and said they had exaggerated their measurements and it needs nothing more than simple break servicing. This is the last time I will be coming here for anything. Con artists trying to make money during a pandemic and play on people’s emotions.

Extremely disappointed with Joe the Sales Rep and Derek the Sales Manager for their lack of attention to detail and poor customer service. After several weeks of back & forth communication, a price was agreed to in writing, went through the credit application process and spoke with the Finance Manager, then after paying a deposit, there was an increase in price of $3,100 because of an error on their part. No compromise what so ever to make this right and the end result was I requested a refund. Will never step into this dealership or recommend and will take my business elsewhere. BUYER BEWARE!

Did not enjoy my last experience. Commented in the notes that I had a free seasonal tire change with a peace of mind service, had a mopar oil change (provided code) which was confirmed in person. At the end of the day I was charged for the seasonal tire change, there was no discount for the oil change (may be embedded in the price?) and coolant was not topped up (below min) which comes with peace of mind service. The alternative billing person who was swamped took care of the over-charges and coolant top up fortunately. It was definately not their best day and unfortunately im left with a distrust where I bought my vehicle from. I dont even know if the rest of my bill is as it should be still.one of the worst feelings a person can feel regarding a $400+ bill.
