Worst experience ever. Food was cold.i was very excited to try saag and roti but it was cold and makki di roti was not even cooked properly. Most important staff members has no manners how to greet customers.at the end she did not even ask if we want something else she just threw bill in front of us.
Couple of days back we had our Brunch here. We had one buffet and Paneer Parata. I must say that Buffet is worth taking with almost 40+ items. Everything tastes very good and with good quality. Our favorite was Parata. OMG it was yummylicious. I 100% recommend going here for veg lovers. We are vegetarians. So fully satisfied
I ordered 2 lbs sweets but they give me forcefully 3lbs.they fit more than capacity of box. Its.not looking nice & wastage of our money. When I went this store for buy sweets I was thinking bill would be $15-$20 for 1 box sweets but they make $28.89 bill. Such a GREEDY people. Staff don't follow the instructions. Sweets pieces should be on horizontal position but they fit in vertical position because they want sell more stuff forcefully. Such a great idea for selling for more stuff.what a business strategy.thanks again
Worst service i have ever seen in this world. No one will care about you weather you want to order or pay the bill.i heard for the first time that we need to pay dine in bill standing in the long take out line…better not to pay and not to enter this restaurant…. Worst ever experience…wasted my time going there…
Horrible service and horrible staff. Came with 5 adults and a baby. No one acknowledged us when we walked in. After 10 minutes had to ask as staff if they can help us. They seated us after another 10 mins. Dirty cup at the table never cleared and had to move it ourselves. Waited at the table for 10 minutes and no one came to us. Did not even get water. Had to ask to be served. When waiting, staff ignored us and looked past us and served other people that came after us first. Horrible service. Will never go back and will tell everyone not to go.
This is my first and last attempt at village of India. Their food service is worst. So bad food quality. We order first dahi puri the lady just throw the plate infront of us. Secondly we tried something else namely Amritsari Kulcha.how they served and their dishes condition. Spoil our Sunday morning. Even they have alot of staff but still nobody cares. Highly recommend not to go there.
I am going take this complaint to food health and safety.
Bad experience, their naans and food items as cold as their staff's attitude. Used to be good few years back, now it looks like they serve frozen foods from their ovens.
I used to like this place with it's all snacks, sweets and thali. Mostly all curries were having a great taste. Recently ordered their thali almost over six months. Disappointed with the taste. I think they have changed their kitchen staff, as none of the curries were near to the delicious, savory curries they used to offer. Not buying thali anymore.
The food tasted so horrible. The service was very slow and staff was very rude. I went there because I heard some good things about it but it was quite the opposite.
We got sweets from here for Diwali just to try the place! I was amazed with the quality and taste. Everything was fresh. The customer service was amazing too.
I love authentic Indian type food and feeling when you're in there. Owner the senior man is old world like man very religious, committed to his work and with lots of natural ability in his field of work in restaurant. Everyday place to go. Wish them better future.
I got samosas from this place, many samosa was broken while frying and was filled with oil. Even after those were packed and most of them was completely ruined. Staff didn’t even care for what is being packed. Never going back.
They pay their workers $70 for 12 hours working in kitchen. And I have seen their kitchen is not clean, they cook everything in old oil, they never change oil. When oil level reduces they put more oil. Owner don't like when worker take 5 minutes break for go to washroom. They want worker work at least 6 days per week. I don't recommend this place for work, and if you wanna be healthy, then don't buy anything from this restaurant.
Its nice place for amritsari kulcha. Price are very firm and good not over priced. Test was also good. I would say it was best in the price.
One more thing I would like to mention is customer service. I get that I ordered very small for dine in but they should have come to table and take order instead of yelling behind the counter and asking what do you need.
Other than customer service it was good experience.
Not good now. Bought gulabjams and rusgullas, none of them were fresh, seems like 1 week old. I throw that in garbage and bought from another shop. Don't recommend this place anymore to anyone.
I am quite impressed by Village of India restaurant. I know, they are understaffed but, its okay sometimes people have genuine concern for being understaffed.
I received a great customer service and I do love food and its taste.
Although they are shorten of staff but the current staff members are really hardworking as they did not made me feel any lack of staff or customer service.
I wish them best of luck, and hopefully I, will get a chance to visit again so that I can enjoy the taste of India.
Very good place to eat, they have fine prices as compare to the other restaurants around. The only thing is to improve customer service. They don’t wish you, they don’t care about you, but 5 stars for the food. Keep it up. But definitely work on customer service skills.
I usually don't physically go to pick up food ever since covid as you can just order it online but I went to this place, and honestly I'm happy I did because everyone was so so sweet, there's a person who works there he's like 80+ but he's so helpful and kind, also they have genuinely the best lemonade (listed as shikanji) I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. If you get anything from here please get the lemonade it's so good and cheap.
I went there 3 times in this month every time I order same food Every time cashier charge different prices for that quantity of food cashier are so unprofessional don’t even know Prices.and it’s don’t match with there own price list. Food quality is good that’s why I used to go there but front staff need some improvement.
On special days, mediocre food at best - peas and peppers were undercooked in matar paneer and mixed vegetables. Lacks customer service - they handed over our food to someone else while we were waiting.
This place doesn't even pay minimum wage to their workers, like how someone can pay under $10 an hour. I wonder how people don't speak up for such places
It happens most often that they don’t have your order, which you placed on phone. So you have to place order again, which leads to more waiting. In addition, they will ask you so many interrogatory questions, like when you placed order, whom you spoke to, show us the number you called
Worst food ever. Everything is so sticky and dirty. Looks like they don’t even bother about cleanliness. Tables, carpet & floor was ful of garbage. I visited there with my friend, we took buffet and I would like to say that was my worst experience at any restaurant. All the food was from morning. Nothing was fresh fruits, salad, vegetables. They must need a big improvement
Average place to try different Indian cuisines at a cheap price. Though keep in your mind that they don't really care about hygiene. I have experienced they don't even clean dishes properly. Front desk uncle sounds friendly but just overall as I said earlier, an average place.
Both the food and the customer service were pathetic. Server was not interested in taking the order. When I said I don't want the buffet, I will order. She made a face as if I told something wrong. The chilly paneer we ordered was pathetic. Butter naans were so hard. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
Today I was in this restaurant. Price has increased but the service deteriorated. Foods are kept in such a way that one food spills to the other. Servers do not listen what you order. Their knowledge about the food ingredients are poor. I asked if this food has milk and then she said yes it has milk in it, it has flour in it. According to her, flour is milk ingredient. Sweet taste sour. It indicates the food has spoiled. I reported but they did not remove. I think I need to report this to ministry.
Worst Indian Restaurant ever. Took one bite of the naan and I was out of there. Shameless owners and staff still charged me for the buffet. They serve frozen naans and don’t admit when told that. The service was so bad that I had to wait 20 minutes for that frozen naan. This food will make you sick for sure. I wonder how they are still in business.
Had heard lots about this place and eventually did go here for dinner We tried the buffet dinner which was $11.99 reasonably priced (for all u can eat) Our server Suman was extremely good and polite very friendly and super helpful The buffet looked really interesting all vegetarian Amazing chaat, pani Puri, dahi ballas chutney and lots more The mains had palak paneer, dal makhani, veggie manchurian, Shabi paneer, kadi and lots more The garlic naan was good and onion naan was excellent it was like a flat bread Loved it Desserts had excellent fruit cream / fruit custard/ Rajbhog/ gajar halwa/ rasmalai gulag jamun and so much more This buffet is what I call value for money Lunch buffet is $ 9.99 And dinner buffer for $ 11.99 It’s probably the most reasonably priced buffet in the entire GTA The owners and excellent wonderful people with a great attitude Am definitely going back for more
Ridiculous service and attitude. Did not get what we ordered for take out. We were three different people our food were wrong orders. Quantity was so less. When complaint to the owner he denied to replace or refund our money. Not worth the visit. Will never go back even if offered for free.only if I could give no stars to this place. Thumb rule of business please respect your customers.
Packed catering a week back and the customer service service standards exceeded pushing me to come back and try their buffet. Indian buffet moderately prices at 11.99 per a person for dinner with exotic vegetarian food. Sarson ka saag and makki roti was missing in buffet, green dal & dum aloo were outstanding. Malai kofta & Gulab jamun were hard from inside, needs improvement from kitchen but overall it was a delight. First time I had I tried Onion Naan and it was the best Naan Servers were very friendly and welcoming. Suman the server was humble and exceeded expectations!
Will have to come back and try their Indian sweets (Mithai
Worst management I have ever seen at any restaurant in Brampton. Guys I am sure you would not know if they are serving only buffet at the moment or could you order something to eat apart from buffet. Staff don't know how to deal politely with customers.
I like this restaurant only because i can speak to kitchen stuff know about the ingredients and allergients. I wish they would keep the foods in a different manner so that a vegan or person allergic to milk feel more confident to eat here. They must try to reduce salt in food. Too much salt in food.
First experience, we got hair in paneer bhurji and that was too much salty. I told to cashier and server.they just ignored even they charged me full price and they didn’t change that veggie.wasting of time and money
