Village of Taunton Mills

Our mother has been a retirement resident for 14 years and lived in an independent suite on the 6th floor of the north building for all of those years. She recently had a fall and she decided to move to the first floor. The help and guidance that we received from the staff was so amazing. They were all so very kind and considerate and answered all of our questions, always returning phone calls and doing whatever they could to make the move seamless. The suite was all set up for our mother upon her return. She was greeted by many staff members and was made to feel so welcome. We are very thankful for all of the assistance.

My mother was a retirement resident and all was good until she had to go to assisted living due to mobility difficulties. She passed away June 15 and not one of the care co-ordinators, bothered to phone with their condolences. The regular staff did their best and no complaints. Then a marketing manager accused of stealing her emergency transponder when it turned out one of the staff had taken it when my mom went by ambulance to the hospital. Never have I been so disappointed in management

The person working the village office this morning doesn’t seem very bright and seems annoyed to be working there. Might need to retrain her or put her in another position.

My parents moved into an Independent Living Suite in the South Tower back in 2020; my Mom was moved into the Dryden neighbourhood in long-term-care in December of 2021 due to her Alzheimer's. I give credit to the staff as I spent a fair bit of time there and I had the opportunity to see how challenging it could be - for the most part they were all great. My Mom became ill in February 2023 and ended up in palliative care in her room, and was treated with kindness and compassion during her final days. I give special credit to Diane McLean - the neighbourhood coordinator of Dryden as she was always there when we needed her which meant more than she could know.
