Village Pantry Restaurant

My family started coming to the Pantry for breakfast last fall, after years of driving by on our way through Lambeth. We'd been looking for a new breakfast place to make our spot, one that had good service, a friendly atmosphere, and where the food was like comforting home-cooking. We stopped in for breakfast and we have kept coming back consistently ever since.

We've really enjoyed every visit. The food hits the spot while being consistent quality and prepared with care. All of the staff are friendly and kind, and we've never felt ignored or rushed. There's a reason many people are regulars at the Village Pantry; when the experience is warm and inviting, you want to come back.

Food was great, service was good.
But the staff were just so unhappy. What is that?

The quality of the food was looking okay. But the taste was not upto the standard. Firstly the server made mistake of not giving what we asked for. And we accepted whatever was given. Secondly the taste was really not good. The home fries made of the potatoes with seasoning was smelling weird oil and tasted weird too. Also the Cafe was so busy that the server didn't gave us the coffee refills until our breakfast was over. The turkey sausage we ordered were really really dry.

Also the toast should have been given with some peanut butter or honey. But we were only given jam. We didn't ask the server because we thought they didn't have any.
I don't know was it because we were the only "non white family" in there?

All in all it was okay experience. The food could really use some upgrades.

I had breakfast here and I have to say. They’re amazing! The service, coffee, food is all amazing!

Poor service was there for 20 min before getting served a water or coffee. Got the food orders at different times. They Let orders sit in order window in stead of serving all at once.
One waitress with brown hair didn’t offer more than one cup of coffee. Once saying we wanted to cancel the late order that we wanted to leave and pay for what we had gotten. And got a dirty look from said waitress. The food was terrible quality blt no mayonnaise limp lettuce and 4 slices of tomato
Not worth the time or money

It looks old inside and needs an upgrade. But in saying that it's very clean and the breakfasts always look fresh and it always tasty.
And the prices are great too.
Great place to eat.

Quaint resto on lambeth main st. Friendly staff, convenient parking, excellent breakfast, and wifi is available. Goto breakfast/ brunch spot. If you are passing through town and need a bite, stop in and enjoy.

DELICIOUS breakfast. One of my favs in the city for sure. Hashbrowns made from fresh not frozen potatoes and griddle fried not deep fried. Old diner vibes with the leather booths by the window. 10/10 Everyone I have taken here has loved it.

Everything looked great and the place was packed. Service was outstanding and quick despite the rush. The meal looked great but the cut of steak with my breakfast had alot of fat and not enjoyable. It was cooked great just a bad cut.
We would return if in the area again.

Highly recommend the cream of broccoli and bacon soup. Also the chicken Parmesan was great. Didn’t like the burger much though.

Not a bad spot. I think for the cost, this place is great. You can get a burger combo for the same price as what you'd pay at A&W, but actually get a real burger. Food was tasty and came out without a very long wait. It's a bit dated on the inside, which has a bit of a charm to it but at the same time also generally feels 'old'. Worth a try if you're looking for something good, affordable, with a bit of nostalgia.

Decent food, but been there three times and each time was not offered a coffee refill. Seems like a necessity for a diner. It’s either lazy waitresses or an owner laid edict to save money, either way not good.

Every one is is friendly, the owner is almost always there. The eggs benny's are great and they make the best clubhouse ever.

Went for the home fries. I read they were great, and they were! Very comfortable welcoming place.

Excellent food and proces are great, busy little place yet no problem finding a table. Wait staff we're very efficient and my coffee stayed full. All in all I would highly recommend, also they serve breakfast all day which is a bonus. Thanks everyone
