My wife contacted Villanova Dental Studio on Monday morning, May 1, as I was experiencing extreme pain (grew worse over the week) from my tooth that I had scheduled a month ago to be extracted on June 7 with another Doctor's office. Although, I made a call to the surgeon last Friday and explained that I now had an emergency, they could only put me on a "short list".
So on Monday, I called my family dentist to contact someone else in Ottawa or Toronto who could see me. The best that could be done with another surgeon is go in for a consult Wednesday, May 3 and schedule an appointment a few weeks from now. My wife stated, "what part of an emergency do they not get". Immediately, upon contacting Dr. Bilal Mammah's office at Villanova, I was invited to see the doctor the same day. Upon assessment, Dr. Mammah felt the tooth could be saved and we scheduled an appointment for the next day for a root canal and crown. As a result of Tuesdays appointment, my pain has subsided and I have full use of my teeth. I was amazed at how no impression was needed as the crown was done digitally and manufactured at Villanova Dental Studio while the root canal was being performed on me. The total process only took slightly more than two hours. Thank you Dr. Mammah!

As always my visit was very relaxed & the staff go to great lengths to make you feel welcome!

Once again I would like to thank Dr B and his team during my recent visit this week. Sarah, Courtney and Nathalie displayed their excellent customer service skills from the time you open the door and get checked in, throughout the appointment until the time you walk out. Having been with Dr. B for 15 years, the level of care remains at a very high standard.

Amazing service and left with a better smile. Katie was my hygienist. She was super kind, helpful, and always striving to be better.

I had a very nice service this morning with Sarah for the scans as new patient. She was gentle and took her time to validate my condition. We went through all the scans without feeling uncomfortable. I am happy to be their clients and would recommend for friends for the services. Cheers.

I took my son for his first visit today and he loved the whole experience! In his words “the entrance is very cool. They had a lot of things like a waterfall. Villanova has taken care of both of my kids’ dental needs for more than a decade, as a parent I’m grateful for the excellent services we’ve got. My 16-year old doesn’t have any cavity and my 14 only got 2 small ones, and they never have issue for the coming dental appointment:). Our years with Villanova keep counting.

As a non-Canadian, having never been to the dentist here in Canada before it was an absolute amazing experience. All the staff were very nice and the premises were clean and tidy. They were able to help me get done what I needed while being very friendly and professional. Shoutout to hygienist Katie who helped me get setup within their system and made going to the dentist (almost) fun!

First time there was so impressed. Office is very comfortable and the lobby is inviting which is rare. The dentist had my broken braces removed immediately from previous dentist of course. I left happy though im missing few teeth that I will be having this dental office fix asap when they have my plan and options.

If I didn't go with Vilanova Dental Studio I would have probably waited a long time to get an appointment for an orthodontist, and I couldn't afford to do that because I'm on a time crunch. I got a consultation appointment within a week. I met Dr. Barakat on the consultation day and he analyzed my teeth and determined that I can go on traditional braces for the first few months, but then switch to Invisalign afterwards when I need to do my live singing performances. The amazing Hannah had the braces on me that same day! So a consultation turned actionable within a matter of 5 minutes. I rarely write reviews.this was a very special experience.

I was blown away from the moment I arrived. Beautiful office and wonderful staff greeting when I came in. Felt like I was walking into a spa. Looking forward to starting my treatment process!

We love Villanova as a family. They are super clean, convenient, and nice. My three kids love going (two are special needs) and we have never had a problem with them doing any procedures or cleanings. I never have to fight with them to go to the dentist. I had Katie as my hygienist and she gave me the best cleaning I’ve ever had. Normally I have to have my gums numbed but with her nothing, and when I left my mouth wasn’t sore. I won’t be putting off my next cleaning:)

Villanova Dental Hazeldean is clean beautifully appointed, disability accessible and staffed with friendly, efficient, professionals. I’m very fortunate to have Dr. Barakat as my dentist. I never feel rushed and feel I can ask any question (and I ask many!), he explains every procedure carefully and ensures minimal discomfort. This office is innovative as well, You can purchase a dental plan that can help minimize costs as an example.
In addition, Villanova scores large in my opinion for their charitable work as well- donating to shelters, Christmas baskets, Operation Smile and others. Kudos on all fronts!

Dr. Theriault recently became my new dentist, after many years of seeing Dr. Barakat (who is now devoting himself to orthodontics). I was somewhat apprehensive, but after a recent filling I gained confidence. Yesterday's session involved a crown installation and I was very happy with Dr. Theriault's patience, and concern for my comfort. She was efficient, exacting and skillful and combined all that with a most pleasant personality. Hurray for us all!

Best dental office! I’ve been to a few different dental offices in my life and none have been as smooth, friendly, caring then this dental office.
Had a dental emergency a month back and the owner reached out to me on his off hours to make sure I could get the help I needed and his staff were there for me when I needed them.
This office seems to be always giving back, either with contest to win some really cool prizes or offering free dentistry for a day so people with less are able to get some dental care and most recently helping children with cleft lip. Oh ya and a free movie at Christmas time, for any family that could come (popcorn and a drink included!) that’s just naming a few! What an Incredible team!
My kids 8 and 5 love going here, all the staff are great with kids and make sure they are very comfortable, and they love getting the little prize at the end.
We are a younger family of 4 and we plan to send everyone here for a long time and recommend them to any family.

Very pleasant experience taking my son for his check-up and cleaning. His hygienist Katie was outstanding! Katie explained every procedure beforehand and was able to accommodate my son staying in his electric wheelchair for all the procedures. The office is very clean and felt very safe with all COVID pre-cautions and procedures in place.

Started going to this office about a year ago. I convinced my Husband and two adult daughters to change to this office which i now regret. This Dental office is all about the Money and not the Patient! I recently had an appointment booked where the office called my house 4 days before the appointment to say I needed to call the office back by 4pm that day to confirm the appointment if not they would cancel my appointment. I too work in the medical field and I happen to work 12 hour shifts so when I got home from work it was too late to call. I called the office fist thing the next morning only to find out they cancelled my appointment and had already back filled my appointment with someone else. Even though the office cancellation policy is 48hours to cancel an appointment. I will not be back to this office and my husband and daughters are leaving as well.

I had a crown replaced by Dr Mammah. I am extremely pleased with the result. Prior to the procedure, he explained what will happen and the potential that I may need further procedures if my nerve was affected. He was able to match the new crown colour with my other teeth. I did not feel a thing after receiving the local anesthetic. Finally, I will not need to return to the clinic since my bite is perfect. My thanks also to Irma who assisted Dr. Mammah and provided assistance in booking other visits.

I can’t be more exited to head back for my next appointment. I just had my first patient appointment today and I was spoiled with gifts and sweet dental pampering.
All staff took the time to answer all my questions and didn’t rush the process of my appointment.
The atmosphere was stunning! Top technology technology machines and modern aura…. The service was exceptional!

The dentist recommended two crowns. Advice accepted and the work was completed. Then one of the crown claims came back rejected by the insurance company (Great West Life). No reason was given by the insurance company for the rejection. When asked the dentist admin why the claim was rejected the reply was …”speak to your insurance company”. The dentist should know what is covered. If unsure, check with the insurance company before proceeding. Then the decision can be made by the patient as whether to proceed. Secondly, the office should communicate better with the patient and not put the onus on the patient to deal with the claim. Afterall, who is the expert. Very disappointed in this service!

I love villanova, I have been using their dental clinic since 2014 when I got my braces and now I conduct all my dental procedures here. What I love most is how great they are at explaining each and every action they perform on you since as a patient we are unaware of what is happening when lying down in the chair! 10/10 recommend

All of the staff at this clinic are very kind and professional. I signed up for Invisalign with them in January 2021. It was a rushed intake as I was told I had to come in right away to sign before a sale ended. I appreciated them booking me in to assist with the cost.

Every since signing up I must admit I was quite uninformed by the office about the process of the treatment, frequency of visits, etc. The staff, specifically the ortho-hygenists and orthodontist have extremely limited availability. Treatment here is not very friendly to any individual who works. Unfortunately I was never told about the limited appointments and there are no other options for patients. Its a shame about the scheduling as the staff are so pleasant and its a nice environment.

In the end I wish I would have never signed up for the Invisalign service here and very much regret it. Now there is no way out.

Update April 2: day 1 of having the attachments on one fell off and had to return for another appointment the following Wednesday. Now two days after having that attachment out back on, yet ANOTHER attachment fell off so I need to book another extra appointment. It’s the gift that keeps on giving.stay away from this treatment it’s not worth the time and certainly not the money. Also coming up to tray 7 of 47 (15% through treatment, not including the refining trays which I’m sure there will be a lot of) and there is NO visible movement of any teeth when compared to pre-treatment photos.

Today, I was very lucky to have a chance to see Dr Barakat, because as a very top dentist, his time is normally dedicated to treating complicated cases, however, today, exceptionally, he helped me fix a strange issue with a tooth I have had since last Friday, even if it was not a big problem, but it would be very annoying if I don't know the reason of the problem. After a few minutes of careful examination, he found the origin of the problem and fixed it very quickly. In one word, I can always feel relieved after seeing Dr Barakat with every kind of issue.

The entire team was very friendly, enthusiastic, and genuine! I am very excited to begin my journey at Villanova

Today was my first visit since the Covid-19 shutdown in March, 2020. I was hesitant to return, but really needed a cleaning. The extra efforts for air circulation & sealed room dividers were very comforting & appreciated! My hygienist, Katie, was very professional & welcoming. She explained all current & up-coming procedures to me, always following safety protocols. She did a great job!

I came to Dr. Barakat at Villa Nova from another dentist who told me I had to live with pain in the right side of my mouth, even after he did an occlusal adjustment. The pain was so bad, i could not chew on the right side and I also developed tinnitus. Dr. Barakat did (2) additional occlusal adjustments to me and the pain is gone; I can chew on the right side and the tinnitus is reduced 70%. We are working on the other 30% but I am so pleased with the result, his willingness to undertake a challenge and his professionalism. Thank you so much Dr. Barakat. I would recommend you to anyone not getting relief from their current practitioner.
