Best food in Scarborough momos was really good and the mango juice was my favourite I definitely suggest this place give it a try I promise u won’t regret it!
Amazing food and very courteous staff. I ordered their butter chicken, tandoori chicken, and chicken momos. It was really superb and delicious. It was my first time in this restaurant but it was really worth in regards to pricing and quality of food. Must a visit.
Best Beef Madras. Perfect spice my friends were thankful all the evening. We enjoyed the ambiance. I would give 4.5 star because the space is small but it’s not possible. I highly recommend and make sure you reserve table for you.
Vindaloo is an amazing place to dine out with family or special occasions. I have gone there a couple times and have had an amazing experience each time. Their staff and ambience are awesome especially if you get one of those u shaped seats. The only problem I would say might be a small problem is parking and space as it is not the biggest restaurant. But overall great place to eat!
Best Indian food we have ever had! We got Chicken Saag, the chicken was so juicy and tender, the sauce was 10/10. We also ordered Shrimp Biryani which was so flavorful, the shrimp they are using must be jumbo, they were huge! We ordered this deep fried potato pancake that came with a fresh cucumber yogurt sauce I believe and it was fresh and yummy, we also ordered chicken pakora, the sauce that came with it was out of this world prepare to have your tastebuds elevated to the next level, the pakora itself was so crispy and juicy unbelievable. The Naan was homemade you can tell, nothing premadeike from a grocery chain. This was our anniversary dinner and boy did they hit it out of the park. 10/10 100s out of 5. Like the Terminator: I'll be back.
We went here yesterday after spending the whole day at Scarborough Bluffs, I was craving for some spicy Indian food together with my boyfriend. It's my birthday so it's a YES DAY for me
• I love the ambiance, it's a little warm maybe because outside is way too hot and humid - maybe increasing the AC isn't bad to as well.
• The food was GREAT and although it's a bit pricey compared to other Indian resto especially around Malton or Brampton, but Scarborough has a lot of Indian restaurants as well. Again, I know that everything is expensive right now so it's acceptable. Malai Kofta for 14.99 (if I remember it correctly) and Plain Naan (2.99 each).
• The people that helps us are all AMAZING - very warm and kind!
• Something that I do not like is the proper lighting on the way downstairs in the washroom. I have to touch the wall and trying to find the on/off button like I am playing in a escape room or something - quite funny but honestly it could have been better. To keep the ambiance, they can put a night light too so that customers can able to see the washroom and the stairs too.
A must try place for Indian cuisine. They have limited space to accommodate dine in for a group but have take out and delivery service. Mouth watering delicacies with veg and non veg options. Fairly priced menu for the quality served.
Methi Chicken is awesome. Be careful that Dal Fry is the yellow daal and not Dal Tarka (which is more like a blend but tastes amazing). Do try the garlic naan
Ordered the garlic naan, butter chicken and saffron rice! Food was yumm and chicken pieces were also good but I wish gravy quantity was little extra. Garlic naan was too good, soft and pluffy and tasty! Rice tasted like khushka for me but overall had good experience. Will definitely dine in to explore more!
Ordered a medium spice Butter Chicken and the spice was so overpowering and strong, it was inedible. Nothing but chilli pepper flavour and my mouth has been numb for the last half an hour.
Discovered this place by chance. Small and cozy. The staff are really friendly. Made great recommendations for the food. Definitely will be going back or get take out. Food was delicious.
Great taste and quantity (tried vegetarian options only). The service was also quick. It was not busy during weekday. Highly recommend checking out this place. I tried their garlic naan, lacha prantha, malai kofta, and paneer masala. They even gave us complimentary papad. Everything was tasty and can’t complaint about anything.
My daughter & I had Mother's Day dinner this evening at Vindaloo. It was wonderful. Everything from the service, the appys & the mains were delicious. We had pakoras, pepper shrimp, curry & vindallo as well as rice & naan. Ras malai & an Indian rice for dessert. We left full & happy with plenty of leftovers. I have eaten here before & definately recommend Vindaloo restaurant.
Wonderful customer service and flavourful food! Ordered the chicken tikka, beef vindaloo, garlic naan and chicken biryani. Flavours blended really well and tasted delicious!
The service, atmosphere, selection, authenticity and the price exceeded our expectations. Coming from Ottawa, this place is something extraordinary. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality.
The only good thing I had was the Water I drank after two bites. Worst butter chicken i ever had in Toronto. Who puts so much sugar in something that is supposed to be spicy.
I love Vindaloo. It's delicious, and priced well. I usually order the chicken madras, butter chicken and Naan. I have never been disappointed. I haven't sat in to dine but the atmosphere is cosy and clean. The staff are friendly as well. Vindaloo is one of those hidden gems nestled in South Scarborough. Try it, you will not be disappointed.
SO SO SO DISAPPOINTED! I READ GOOD REVIEWS AND ORDERED FOOD BUT SUCH A BLAND TASTE. NO FLAVOURS WHATSOEVER. TANDOORI CHICKEN ONLY LOOKS GOOD BUT WHEN YOU EAT, NAANS? WORST IN THE CITY! COULD NOT SAY ANY BETTER. THICK RAW CHUNKS OF FLOUR ALL OVER NAANS. NOTE TO THE RESTAURANT: PLEASE DO YOURSELVES A FAVOUR HIRE A PROPER CHEF WHO KNOWS HOW TO COOK. PLEASE DONT GO ON REVIEWS. FISH? WORST FLAVOUR EVER TRIED.
NOT TO MENTION ALL OVER PRICED AS WELL.
SAVE YOUR MONEY GUYS! NO IDEA WHO THIER AUDIENCE IS BUT OBVIOUSLY SEEING THOSE GOOD REVIEWS SHOWS PEOPLE DONT KNOW WHAT GOOD QAULITY FOOD IS!
The food from Vindaloo is delicious and very authentic. The Methi Chicken and Madras Chicken is a mandate to be tasted, it's one of the best I had in Toronto. The coconut flavored Madras Chicken is simply outstanding. Besides that we also ordered Kadai Paneer, Kashmiri Dum Aloo, Garlic Naan and Rosemary Naan. A perfect comfort meal. The ambiance is good and the staff is friendly. Deducting 1 point as the sitting arrangement is a bit discomforting for a large group of 5-6, the washroom was not clean. It would be best for takeaway considering the food taste.
Randomly discovered this place. Really good. We got the chef’s appetizer platter, dum aalo Kashmiri, saag paneer, lachcha paratha and Kashmiri naan. The aalo tikki in the platter was very bland but other than that, everything was amazing. Highly recommend it
Good food, decent portions, good service. Tried chicken vindaloo, beef korma, veg pakoda and garlic naan. All were good. Tough to find a parking spot though.
This place is excellent. I live near by and this is my favourite place for any kind of take out within a 20 minute drive of home. Highly recommend dine in or take out.
November 26,2021, just had Vindaloo again. Ordered the usual and tonight tried their lamb vindaloo. Absolutely amazing. Best I’ve had. I love this place.
Vindaloo Cuisine also operates a food delivery service called Petpooja Tiffin. The food was never on time and the guy refuses to refund our money. I have added screenshots which show that Petpooja Tiffin service is registered as Vindaloo Indian Cuisine
The Most Delicious Indian Cuisine in Scarborough Maybe Toronto!
A friends recommend this spot and I couldn’t resist trying it as I love food and would like to consider myself a foodie.
The portions are generous, The price is fair and the ambiance is exactly what you’d expect from a hidden gem in Scarborough.
I’m sorry for not taking or posting a photo of the food. The food was pipping hot and didn’t wanna waste time taking a food photo as I was excited to truly enjoy this wonderful Indian Cuisine.
When I inquired from petpooja tiffins.she was very rude in answering mycall, has no vaue for time.she lacks basic etiquettes and refused to refund. I had a very disappointing experience
Everything we order from Vindaloo is absolutely delicious! We love our Indian cuisine, and this is by far the most authentic Indian food you'll get in Toronto. The portions are good. And the flavours hit all the notes! It's pure magic! Yum!
We have generally liked the food from here and order the curries and naan. They are pricier than most other restaurants (and smaller portions) in the area but the food is good. But this specific item aloo tikki was basically a joke. We ordered off their appetizer menu and paid $6 for it. Got two tiny pieces which didn't taste like much. You could get the same for a $1 at some other bakeries and restaurants.
We called the restaurant and asked why it looked like it was a sampler and not like it was actually an order. Their response was to ask uber eats.
Their menu didn't mention the 2 pieces. For the same price at their restaurant they give 5-6 giant pieces of onion bhajia or pakora, so definitely weren't expecting this joke of an aloo tikki.
It's mostly their response that was disappointing. When we have found the food good, we have tipped well and once just called to give compliments to the chef for their kheer (rice pudding). When you can take compliments and tips in stride, the same response should be given to complaints from customers as well. This experience has us questioning if we want to go again.
Updating my review: still one of THE BEST indian restaurants. Every time i try other restaurants i regret and come back to vindaloo Staff are exceptionallly nice️
The seating area is soo beautiful, waiters are very nice, food is another level️
I had an extraordinary experience at this restaurant. We liked the extraordinary atmosphere and the meals. The staff are very welcoming. I’m happy we ultimately decided to visit this restaurant.
Favourite new Indian cuisine place! Soooo delicious, fairly priced and service is amazing. We come from Oshawa specifically to eat here, can’t wait for the next time!
Delicious! I've ordered takeout from Vindaloo twice now and was very satisfied both times. The food is fresh, tasty and hot. The prices are more than reasonable considering the quality and quantity. I had the Paneer Makhani with an order of garlic naan both times. I'm hooked! I definitely recommend you give it a try.
Large menu of classic Indian dishes. Nice dining room. Extremely kind servers and service. They seem to have a robust takeout business. Reasonable prices
Loved this place. Another Scarborough gem waiting to be discovered. Rich flavours in our Panner, Gobi and Masala. Delicious Mulligatawny soup as a starter.
Warm, friendly, family service. This will definitely become a personal favourite.
Visited this place with friends. Never expected such a good place since it was suggested to me by a friend. Loved the food served. It was spicy and awesome. Even liquor is served here. Also a calm and quiet place. Would suggest this place.
This place is excellent. I live near by and this is my favourite place for any kind of take out within a 20 minute drive of home. Highly recommend dine in or take out.
Delicious food and fantastic service, as always. Thanks for the warm welcome & efficient wrap up.until my next visit from Nova Scotia. See you again in the summer!
I tried this spot once with my friend and I am obsessed ever since. I enjoyed the good character and flavorful food and drinks. I recommend this place.
Beautiful decor, staff was very pleasant but like every other Indian food establishment you don't get much food for the price. But the food is soooo good! Will deff go back again!
Genuinely the best food I’ve ever ordered. I got the Dal Tarka and it was life-changing! The flavour is bright, rich, immaculate! It is so good it almost brings a tear to my eye when I eat it. Thank you.
5 star for sure. This indian food restaurant it just awesome. Went here for first time today and I'm completely in love with their taste. It reminded me of India. My favorite mango lassi was heavenly awesome.
We enjoy hanging out. Yesterday we went to this delicious restaurant which friends told us about. We passed a beautiful time there with exceptional dishes and a courteous team and a professional cuisine. We put this restaurant in our phone list and we shall no doubt visit again very soon. Highly recommended.
Very nice comfy and cozy place, the food is great, though small portions, the servers are nice and polite especially Alok. Will definitely come back.:)
Good food and service. Try Butter chicken if you cannot handle spice and chicken vindaloo if you like spicy food along with Naan. Mango lassi is my favorite. In veggie Saag paneer and mutter panner are good
This has got to be one of the best kept secrets for Indian food in Scarborough. The decor is lovely and clean, the waiter we had was charming and so very helpful. And the food.ahhh.the best Indian food I've ever had. I was referred to this gem by a friend and am so very glad to have found it. I will be telling my friends about this restaurant and we'll be frequenting there again. Also, the hours are earlier now. 12 noon for opening most days. Just check online. Beth
Slowish service, there is only 1 person taking order. The food quality is average too, nothing special though the ambience can be rayed above avg. Note that this place serves alcohol so family with kids could have some reservations.
The food was amazing! Lots of option! The Chicken Vindaloo would probably be my most fave (make it spicy!) The roti and vegetable pakora - sooo good. Flavorful, creamy, and fresh. Staff are very friendly, service is fast. The price is reasonable. They open late, which i guess for someone like me, I'd to have my food earlier but i guess it's worth the wait! Happy we tried to eat in here!
