Violin Studio of Daniel Temnik

Daniel is a very passionate and wonderful teacher. My kid started to learn violin from him for 3 years. He is always patient and encouraging. We can see how fast the progress my kid made under his guidance.

I have known Daniel for over fifteen years and have been very impressed by his work as a violin performer and teacher. As Provost at one of the largest Colleges in Ontario and Canada, I have developed a keen eye for recruiting educational specialists and teachers who are both in tune with their content as experts and also superb artisans in delivering the highest class of education to their students. Daniel embodies all the qualities of an expert teacher and scholar of his work. I have personally spent many hours with Daniel discussing classical music, the violin and the various compositions of the great composers. His attention to detail is impeccable and his knowledge of the subject matter is phenomenal. I have learnt a great deal from Daniel and I can only imagine how lucky his students are for having such a knowledgeable teacher. I have seen first hand the fruits of his labour through the students who have been trained by him for competitions. He has taught these students not only how to play masterfully the pieces, but also the way in which the students are to conduct themselves professionally. In speaking with Daniel, I notice that the algorithm of training that he utilizes is grounded in great educational theory. His application to his work with students is focused around 3 pillars. The 3 pillars are the art, science and philosophy of the instrument itself and the musical piece to be learned. As being a neighbour across the street, I have had the great fortune to listen (many times in the late evening) to Daniel playing the violin. The musical sound that emanates from his room (open window) is truly unbelievable, special and mesmerizing. I know that if I was ever to take up the violin, or if my grandkids expressed their wish to learn the violin, I would want Daniel as my teacher and their teacher. He is truly a treasure in the world of violin performance. There are not many teachers like Daniel. He is truly a treasure.

Daniel is one of the best violinists in Toronto. With years of experiences in teaching various age groups, he is exceptionally skilled when it catering unique lessons for each student.

I booked lessons with Mr. Daniel, whose expertise on the violin is unparalleled. I admire the teacher's application and understandings of music score, which has played a role in guiding and correcting me in practice. At the same time, the teacher is very patient and friendly, and always give me encouragement and appropriate suggestions. The class with the teacher makes me make rapid progress, which is also a very interesting experience.
