If I could put 0 star's I would- the receptionist/clinica manager are consistently hostile and disrespectful. After being a patient for over 5 years I have no complaints about the Dr's however the receptionist makes the entire experience wholly unpleasant and dehumanizing. If you have an option do yourself a favor and don't subject yourself to this treatment.

Male receptionist was extremely unhelpful and rude and also lie to the public when a poor review is given. As you can see by "their" response.

Got an apt with Dr. Ghazawi pretty quickly. When I got to the clinic I was roomed and seen quick even before my timed appointment. He’s very kind and professional! I had a biopsy done and he was very nice while doing it and explained everything to me. Got the results back in less then 2 weeks. Would recommend him to anyone! Cares for people that’s for sure!

Unprofessional! After waiting months and not getting a phone call to book my appointment. I decide to call them to see why I haven’t heard anything. Excellent service. My wait time was very short. Dr. McEvoy was a wonderful doctor and took time to look at another issue I had. Turns out my family doctor miss-diagnosed it but Dr. McEvoy got it right!

Just had my first appointment with Dr. Bahubeshi. He was brief and “to the point”, but polite and addressed my issues and answered my questions.
Everyone was very pleasant and professional. Based on my experience today, I have no problem recommending this clinic.

The receptionists at this clinic can be extremely condescending and rude. I have had mostly positive interactions in person but over the phone they are terrible.

Had appointment with Dr. Feras Ghazawi today. Everyone was so nice from the receptionist to the nurse and especially Dr. Ghazawi. He took the time to explain exactly what he was doing and was very kind and considerate. Thank You.

Dr. McEvoy did an amazing extraction job. Minor problem however, the dressing on the wrist wound did not make it home. The adhesive did not stick well to my skin. Early days yet but the discomfort has mostly disappeared, and that is a good thing.

My appt was on time, short and informative. My issue was taken care of immediately and painlessly. Excellent all around experience.

All staff were exceptionally polite. Exam and service were on time and details of the procedure were well explained by the physician who treated me. It was a pleasant and reassuring visit for me in all respects.

UPDATE: as with many other 1 star reviews, I have been told I am the problem. I have contacted my family doctor and will be recommending the stoppage of referrals to this office for reasons that are clearly explained by many other individuals on this review form.

My family doctor sent a referral here months ago and I found out today that my family doctor was sent a fax saying I missed an appointment. When I contacted this office the man that answered the phone was rude, barely let me finish explaining why I was calling before talking over me, and then had the audacity to tell me I was being rude. When I told him I did not receive one phone call from this office like my file states, the only explanation he gave me was it was a "phone error". When I asked to speak to a manager to resolve the issue he informed me he was the manger but refused to give me his name or do anything to solve the problem.
Medical services are a necessity but that does not give your employees the right to be rude and discourteous to people.

Dr. Alana McEvoy was great! I had to get a sort of cancer that is non-cancerous removed and she made feel safe, she provided me with options and explained the procedure from start to end and made sure throughout the procedure that I was fine and that I was comfortable. Thank you Doctor McEvoy.

I saw Dr. Bahubeshi at Vital Medical Centre today, for a skin examination. I only have good things to say about the whole experience (form the call to offer me an appointment time, to the time I walked out of the clinic today). I had a great experience with Dr. Langley, the front staff, and nurses. The doctor was straightforward and to the point about my condition and we started treatment the day I came in. They are very kind people so I believe the other reviewers must not have been very respectful during their visit.

Reception staff are awful and rude. I showed up for my appointment only to be told eventually after 10 minutes of them searching that they had canceled it. I asked why I wasn't notified the male receptionist, the rude one, told me things happen. I have to speak to the office manager she had the same response. When they charge customers a huge fee for missing an appointment I asked why they felt it was okay not to notify patients when their appointment was canceled. There was no apology there was no sense that they cared. The arrogant male receptionist told me that if I wanted to continue to argue about it they would refuse to see me as a patient and I should leave the building.

People go here because they want medical Care and they have no choice not because it's a decent place to go.

Horrible, they called me the same day of an appointment that I was not informed about or aware about and wanted to charge me a cancelation fee of $100, I didn't need to go and I didnt pay that stupid fee, they're thieves and just want money. Plus they're so rude and extremely disrespectful.

Dr. Annie Langley was very rude. Waited 4 months for my appointment and she was only in the room for 3 minutes. I wanted to ask some more questions but she said she was TOO BUSY so she told me to get another appointment. She then got up and left the room.

Everything is awful. The dermatologist forgot to sign on my prescription even I mention I will go to pharmacy to pick up. And then I called them back and then they said they will fax to the pharmacy. I checked it again second day and the pharmacy didn’t receive my prescription. I called the medical Center again and the person who picked up my phone has really mean attitude. He said the doctor is not here and he doesn’t know when it can be done. The people at the reception are also not really nice. I saw one of them showing her attitude one of the patients who forgot removing her shoes. Definitely won’t visit again!

The reception is absolutely awful. It holds one of the most miserable people in the world and if you look at previous reviews I’m clearly not the only one. The doctors are good but they should look into these people are supposedly representing them. The receptionists have an extreme attitude and are completely dismissive of clients. Their behaviour is inappropriate, and in any other setting these people would be FIRED! Even in retail or fast food industry, this behaviour is unacceptable and should not be present in medical care. There is clearly also a problem with the person in charge because nobody with any critical thinking skills or understanding in customer service and care would allow this behaviour to proceed. Absolutely disgusted with this place and the manager.

Extremely disappointed and frustrated at the patient care received from Dr. Langley at this clinic. As a dermatologist, she must understand patients wait extensive amounts of time to be seen. So during my long awaited consultation, she was completely dismissive, impatient and disrespectful - would not allow me to finish my sentences; continuously interrupted me. Disregarded my skin condition and said, “I can’t help you. ” Did not write up a prescription, as she said she would. She then walked out of the room, without ending the consultation, leaving me inside speculating will she come back to address the pending concerns/questions. After waiting 15 minutes unattended, the receptionist pops her head in and says, “Dr. Langley is finished with you. You can see yourself out. ” No words. Complete disappointment. Will never visit this clinic again.

Nothing but good things to say about Dr. Alana McEvoy but her receptionist is the most unprofessional, ignorant person I've ever dealt with in a medical setting. He should get a new job because he is terrible at this one.

This rating only applies to reception. My doctor and her intake assistant were amazing!

The male receptionist was rude and dismissive. I was four minutes late and was told by him-though he wasn't even the one serving me-to "take a seat and we'll see if the doctor will still see you because you're late. " I did, then listened to him bark the same rebuke to two subsequent not-really-even-late patients.

I've been corporate management for my entire career and if anyone who worked for me ever spoke to anyone-client or fellow employee-in such a hostile and dismissive manner, that person would have been fired without notice, reference, or two weeks pay. People get respect when they give it.

This man would be better suited in a position wherein the public isn't forced to endure his presence.

I am a patient at the Vital Medical Centre for its' dermatology services, and anyone who lives in Ontario can tell you about the shortages of dermatologists in the province. This practice is very busy because of this shortage. In spite of that, the staff is very professional and nice. There are often 3 employees who will check you in (better yet you can check yourself in by swiping your OHIP card at their kiosk) and do follow up with you at the end of your visit. My appointments have always been on time and I have never been made to feel rushed. My doctor takes as much time as I need. I have a 15 year history of skin cancer and have gone to numerous dermatologists and I have to say this place is the best- from the staff at the front of the clinic to the medical staff in the rear. I am getting great health care. I feel very fortunate to be a patient here.

10 minutes long appointments: rush in rush out. Barely any physical exam. No time for questions or treatment tips.

The managers are the 2 asian receptionists (male and female) which is SHOCKING due to how they run the place and treat staff and patients. Especially the male, (only male receptionist) he has no place dealing with other human beings. BEYOND awkward and rude to everyone.walks around with his nose in the air, even though he is absolutely CLUELESS on how to interact with people, SO CRINGE. Basically, the doctors are great, I was recently in there and saw Dr. T.he was great, but unfortunately will not be back or recommending this place.
It's too bad the docs can't practice elsewhere.

My appointment was for 1130 on this past Thursday. I had to bring my toddler, which, for any parents out there, you know sometimes it is a struggle.

I assumed that bc Covid, they’d not want me to arrive early and sit in the waiting room. I walked in the door w 2 minutes to spare.

The person (unsure if nurse or receptionist) who brought me into the room was very confrontational and said in a condescending tone that next time I should be early as opposed to late. I asked her what time my appointment was. She said 11: 30. I asked what time it was and was told 11: 30.

I never got any other clarification how that makes me late, just a snotty look as she ran out the door.

On the flip side, the doctor was fantastic though.

If you try to cancel an appointment on a Monday or a Tuesday with the dermatologist you are told you missed your appointment. So if you are sick on a Friday you cannot reach the office or leave a message on the Saturday or Sunday to cancel as they haven’t set up their phones for cancellation. You may be charged for the missed appointment. My appointment was on a Tuesday and I phoned on Monday morning to cancel this was unacceptable to the reception. I was still sick.
Also the wait time to see the doctor is so long as they obviously overbook. Horrible place to wait. People squeezed in the waiting area. Reception is rude and dismissive.

The other reviews are ridiculous. Don’t pay any attention to them. I’ve had nothing but great service here. Thank you Vital.

Only took 3 weeks from the time I was referred by family doctor until I heard from the clinic. Dr. Colantonio is amazing! Super knowledgable and very thorough. I've had an appointment once a month for the last 7 months or so, and have never had a problem with reception. I finally have clear skin, which is the best part!

The best Derm centre I have ever been to. Staff and doctors are absolutely amazing. They treated me for a cancer and offer multiple cosmetic treatments for spots. Prices were fair and explained to me clearly. I’m not sure what the review below says. Dr Thuraisingam was very clear that there were fees. Ignore the negative reviews.

Crooks. I went to have 5 cysts on my head removed. I was told by 2 doctors, Dr. Bahubeshi & Dr. Thuraisingam that after I received the bill I could apply for a reimbursement from OHIP. This was a lie. The clinic would have had to submit a form prior to the procedure. In my opinion they just didn't want me to walk out without getting any money out of me. Why is money more important than well-being? So now I'm out $1400 and their only comment was "Well gave you a courtesy and didn't charge any tax".

Front entrance was being renovated but that shouldn't last long. Reception was courteous and efficient. Dermatologist was efficient and quickly did more than was expected at the appointment. Very satisfied.

I was very dissatisfied with my dermatology examination. When I documented my concerns with the management, they were rejected and I was instructed to phone the clinic directly about any further issues. Presumably this is to avoid creating any paper documentation. This was the worst experience I have had with any medical practice.

Like all other reviews, I would avoid this medical clinic like the plague due to the extremely rude receptionists (all of them are cold and rude but especially one male receptionist (darkhair). The managers clearly do not care about patient service as people here have complained about the rudeness of the receptionists but yet they remain employed. Firstly if you don't give me a chance to explain, then how will you know what I am talking about? Secondly it was your rubbish confirmation email that I never received and then asking me to contact the email company to ask why I didn’t receive the email what kind of nonsense is this? ! Finally if you genuinely did not understand me, there is a way to talk to a patient politely. What the receptionist fails to understand is that this is a HEALTH service- vulnerable patients with sensitive issues. Note that this isn't a one off or bad day for the receptionist evidently from the reviews left on here. The managers of this health clinic and the receptionists themselves should be ashamed- this is not a way to treat people let alone someone seeking your help. Shame on everyone who has allowed these receptionists to continue working in this clinic. For anyone reading this, save yourself the mental headache and seek another medical clinic.

Please, please, listen to these reviews. I was really upset (to the point of tears) by the female receptionist’s behaviour. I also had a question on the phone and was so nervous and anxious for a reply, she was rude, mocking, and so truly unprofessional. The doctor was fine, the male and female receptionist at the front had such a judgemental and unwelcoming energy. Very sad.

Their male receptionist has no place at that clinic. He's rude, degrading and totally insensitive. I explained that I had no one to watch my 6 year old the day of my appt and his exact response was "sorry but I'll have to deny your appt then". I told him that he couldn't do that as it is discrimination and he could care less. In the end after having to take an extra 2 hours out of my day to find someone who could watch my daughter, I show up to the appt only to find there were other patients being accompanied by family members (ie. An elderly woman with what looked like her daughter). After confronting the girl at the counter, the male that I spoke with on the phone barged into our convo to defend himself and when I asked him not to interrupt our conversation he refused and continued to be rude towards me. The point is, my 6 year old dependent child can not take care of herself just like the elderly woman couldn't attend her appt alone but apparently their discriminatory policies only apply to some people. The doctors are great but do yourself a favor and get medical care where you are treated like a human!

My son had an appointment this afternoon at 2: 30, I called the clinic at 10 a.m. To let them know that my son would not be able to make this appointment. The reason why he couldn't make the appointment was because he had received his 2nd COVID vaccine on Friday and he is feeling under the weather as a result. The receptionist told me that we would be charged for missing this appointment due to the short notice. Even after I said "You know this is COVID related right? " and his reply was "Yes but he should be over it and be feeling good enough now because he had the vaccine on Friday" So apparently the clerks at this clinic now have Advance Medical Degrees and can tell you what a patient's signs and symptoms are based on a phone call. Not impressed at all and this should absolutely be illegal. I will be bringing this issue up the my member of parliament.

It was my fault - I made a mistake in booking but I was shocked that they charge $100 for a missed appointment. $100! That's crazy.

Update: Because I left the above review (which starts with admitting my own culpability and which I meant as a heads up so no one else gets surprised - which is actually advantageous to this clinic) they called me back to tell me they now refuse to see my daughter (who didn't write the review) - wow that's unprofessional - refusing to see someone who needs medical care because they were honest about how they felt and gave others a heads up. I have worked for a large medical clinic myself - we also had a backlog of patients but we recognized that people made mistakes and rarely charged our patients unless it became a problem.
The person who called me was rather belligerent - I say this in the hopes that maybe, just maybe, it may effect how one is treated by this clinic in the future.

Patient care is not a priority at this clinic, which should be avoided. I was a patient of Dr. Mikhael. I have a sunspot on my ear that had been treated twice before with liquid nitrogen. I was scheduled to have it re-examined in June 2020 but my appointment was canceled as Dr Mikhael was away until September. I indicated to receptionist that a lesion had developed and could I be examined by one the other dermatologists. The short and rude answer was "No" and they would call me at a later date to reschedule. I didn't see Dr. Mikhael until October. She cooly indicated I was rude to the front desk staff and I explained why I was upset. A biopsy of my ear reflected basal cell cancer. I was referred to a surgeon who was unable to remove all the cancer. I will shortly be undergoing further surgery at the Civic Hospital Mohs clinic. Can't help think this could have been avoided!

Bad experience. Email notice clearly states not to arrive more than five minutes earlier than time of appointment, yet when my name was called, I was told to "show up on time in the future" because in their records my appointment was 5 minutes earlier than the time given in the email notice. When I displayed the email showing the time of the appointment, no apology or acknowledgement was given. Dr. Gavigan was kind and knowledgeable, but the appointment felt rushed. Regardless, patients should be received with more respect even if they are a few minutes late (which I was not).

I was completely disgusted with the unprofessional and inappropriate behaviour of the receptionist both on the phone and via email. Their system consistently sends wrong appointment details, such as appointments for dates in 2020, and they refuse to take responsibility for it. This is in addition to the first time my wife called for appointment details and they refused to look up her name, claimed they had several doctors, and stated that they couldn't give her with the date and time unless she provided the physician name.yet that was what she was calling to find out since they had left an incomplete message on her phone. Four out of the five times the reception staff have been very rude. The rude and unprofessional emails were the last straw for us and we would not trust this clinic with our health if these are the kind of people they employ. I should have listened to reviews below.

Dr Fahim took the time to combine her diagnosis with my rheumatologist’s in order to help secure financial help for my very expensive medication.
I am forever thankful.
Her caring, professional approach is rare these days.

Everyone was extremely professional here (idk what those negative reviews were about!). The reception staff were remarkably friendly and fast checking me in and helping me book a follow up. Dr. Colantonio was so kind and knowledgable and it really put my mind at ease as someone who gets a bit nervous going to the doctor! I'm really glad my family doctor referred me to this clinic!

This Clinic is absolutely unprofessional and rude! I had to reschedule my appointment due to my hectic schedule with my 3 week old newborn at home. They completely disregarded my explanation for rebooking and gave me an attitude on how the doctors time is valuable. I continued to apologize and still the manager did not want to rebook me and told me to go somewhere else! I definitly DO NOT recommend this clinic to ANYONE! They are arrogant and do not deserve your business!

I called in today with two very simple questions and I was met with an extremely rude, insensitive and unprofessional receptionist. She was very condescending and sarcastic to the point where I couldn't believe my ears. The amount of attitude presented in her speech was by no means necessary, as both my questions were simple and straight forward. Although kindness is always appreciated, I don't expect it. What I expect is respect and professionalism, and these two elements were completely absent. I consulted this review forum to determine whether or not I was the only one who experienced this awful treatment, and I was shocked to see that countless patients have also had negative experiences with the reception staff. This is very sad to see, as I have absolutely no complaints about my doctor and these negative reviews are essentially tarnishing the reputation of the center. Do better.

Avoid this place! You have 2 young receptionists that are absolutely rude! Male (has an awful stutter) and female, that are supposedly in charge of booking and they booked me for an appointment I did not request, nor did they do a reminder call like they claimed they've did. Of course, I have been charged for a missed appointment that I did not request. Perhaps, this is how they truly make their money? I have heard horrible stories anyways about this place and I will go to a place that is more professional. HORRIBLE SERVICE! Avoid at all cost.

I was referred to Dr. Colantonio. Long story, short - I would avoid this clinic at all costs. The receptionist was not only rude, but also very insensitive to my medical condition. When I asked if there was any way to expedite the booking process, he said the only way I could expedite my appointment booking was if I had skin cancer and then proceeded to mock the severity of my condition. Understanding that there are always medical conditions more severe than what one may be experiencing, this receptionist did not have any empathy, compassion or common courtesy. As he said, please do not attend this clinic unless you have skin cancer, and even then, I would recommend you go to a better facility that will treat you with respect and compassion. I will not be going to this clinic and I highly suggest that no one else does either.

Absolutely awful customer service. I have mom brain and the receptionist said "well which doctor do you have? " and I said I couldn't remember which one then I asked, would you be able to let me know which doctors work here? And they said "there's 12 doctors I'm not naming all twelve of them". Unbelievable

I had an appointment schedule, I could not make due to weather conditions making it unsafe. They would not answer the phone (called 10 times) nor could I leave a message as they don't have an answering machine. I sent an email and they never responded. I went to the office and explained, they didn't care for any reasoning, they expressed that they received a lot of emails and thats why I got no response. The applied a $100 fee to the account and I am unable to reschedule until the fee is paid.

I had the pleasure of meeting with Dr. Bahubeshi at Vital Medical Centre. He listened to me patiently and answered all of my questions. The support staff was very polite and friendly. Glad I got referred to this clinic.

The bad reviews here are on point of how unprofessional this office works. Very angry and frustrated. It took me a while to finally have someone to cover me at work to be able to go to my appointment. I was scheduled to see a dermatologist on October 16,2020 at 11: 45. When I got to the clinic, it was closed. I called numerous times and kept getting the automated msg which did not mention the office is closed. The professional way was to call me and rescheduling (ahead of time).

Dr. Sophia Colantonio is an excellent doctor in every sense. Aside from literally saving my life last year after others had failed to diagnose melanoma, she is a down to earth, patient, caring, and very bright physician who treats her patients with the right balance of candor and kindness. I never write these reviews but had to make an exception.

Extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff. I didn't have to wait long for my appointment and the whole process was very smooth. The clinic was very clean and had plenty of parking as well. Overall, I would highly recommend!

The staff at the clinic were very kind and professional. However, Dr. Thuraisingam was extremely rude and unprofessional throughout the appointment. When asking him about the possibility of improving the appearance of a condition I had, he laughed and called me a "perfectionist" as well as telling me I did not have the condition (meanwhile I have had it for 7+ years and have been diagnosed by two separate dermatologists with it). Will not be returning to this clinic and strongly recommend that others do not see this dermatologist.
