Vlasta's Dress Making

She was not as much of a miracle worker as many of these reviews suggest. She altered my items without taking any measurements so at the time I thought "wow she must just be that good". End result showed she really should be taking those measurements after all, especially because she refuses to work on the item again after the first round of her unmeasured alterations. She works fast at least!

I bought a wedding dress that was 2 sizes too small (that's a whole other story) but Vlasta is a miracle worker! She made the dress fit like a glove and was so quick to get it back to me! I was nervous that I wouldn't have my dream dress for my wedding day and she made sure that I did. I honestly can't thank her enough and I 100% would recommend. She's also VERY well priced! If you're looking for an amazing seamstress, take this as your sign to look no further!

I booked an appt to have my wedding dress altered at Vlastas in Hamilton. The woman would not take my name down and when I arrived, two individuals sewing said for me to go put on my dress. As I started walking, two large Dogs came around me from under a desk. The change room floors were so dirty, it was unsettling to put a long white dress on the floor. Once dressed, I walked across the filthy floors into a large room and as my dress dragged on the floor there was a huge puddle of Urine. I decided I was NOT comfortable leaving my wedding dress there and went to change. My dress was so dirty all along the bottom. I think I made the right decision to leave and go elsewhere. NOT impressed at all.

She did an amazing job on the wedding dress, very nice lady to deal with, finished the work fast with no stress. Very very happy and very well recommended

I had an appt for 12pm today. I drove from Hamilton. When I arrived, there was a huge line of women. And the customer service rep said
I'd have to wait behind all of them.

I said well no I made an appt

The man says "we don't make appts"
To which I replied well someone that works here did.

He scoffed and told me I'd have to wait behind everyone. We're not talking 10 minutes. We're talking 2 hours. No apology. No nothing.

I will gladly post the screenshot of my appointment. Being made. As I made it months ago.

Waste of my time. And money. As I had to make room in my work schedule to come.

She fixed my dress in exactly the time she stated for a great price we've come to vlasta for a few different dresses and we've always had Nothing but good things to say about her work we tell anyone looking for alterations to go see vlasta

Vlasta made my daughter’s baptism gown from my wedding dress. It is beautiful and exactly what I was looking for!

I brought a shirt that I had ruined in the wash to Vlasta's to see if they could repair it (logos and lettering were fraying and lifting needed to be resewn on). They were extremely quick, very reasonably priced, and did an EXCELLENT job. The shirt looks good as new (which is shocking, considering how badly I ruined it). I will be recommending them to everyone who asks!

She was extremely rude and completely unprofessional.
I asked if she could hem the bottom of my dress and add buttons on the back. She said it wouldn't look good. I tried telling her that it was how I wanted my dress. She rolled her eyes, scoffed and tossed my dress on the floor and yelled at me to go elsewhere because she wasn't going to be able to help me.

I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS POOR EXCUSE OF A BUISNESS.

Don't bother to go elsewhere, they are pros at what they do and are super nice to deal with. Their prices are fair and honest. They altered my wedding dress to perfection! Can't be happier with it.

Professional and personable! Quiana custom-made my wedding dress and the process couldn't have gone more smoothly. From our first brainstorming visit to the fabric store, through each my idea changes and the fittings, down to the fine tuning of accessories - these ladies were amazing!

I was told to go in for a fitting and my coat had already been cut
and sized tooooo small, it was too late to fix! My heart sunk to my stomach, She said I had asked for a tight fit for my brand new winter coat. (she should make notes on receipts for clients to be accurate). She must have been talking about someone else, not me. I never ever wear my coats tight! One sleeve was hemmed the wrong way. My new
coat is bascically ruined and sized wrong! She basically altered it the way she wanted not what the customer specified, I don't think she was paying
much attention to my requests when I was talking to her.

Extremely rude and unprofessional. When I tried to show her what needed to be fixed on my dress. Out of nowhere She threw my dress on my face and said “Don’t even bother”. I was standing there stunned and thinking what just happened. She ruined my dress. Stay Away from this place. This lady does not know how to talk.

Vlasta and her team did a flawless job on three of our bridesmaids dresses varying in required alterations. Each dress was completed in one to two weeks for unbelievably reasonable costs. Customers coming in and out during both of my visits always seemed very happy with their services. I would recommend Vlasta to anyone requiring alterations!
