VM Nails & Spa

I never usually write reviews but the service today was so bad I had to. Usually I have a good experience at VM but today I received one of the worst pedicures of my life. Usually I am in and out in 45 minutes, but today it took close to 2 hours. The young girl who started my nails didn’t seem to know what she was doing and drilled my toenails so thin, they had to add nail glue to hold it together. They did not do the usual services such as the scrub and my feet left rough. I kept waiting thinking they would do it at the end now and then it never happened. I brought it up and she offered to do it at the end but after 2 hours of sitting there I declined as I had somewhere to be. Will not return and would not recommend.

Fantastic job! Accommodated an appointment the day before and I didn’t have to wait long for my appointment. A week later and the shellac is still intact

RIP OFF. Wouldn't allow use of gift certificate after it had a rip in. Prior to the rip in the certificate, tried to book appointment with no luck. Stood in building twice for 10 minutes without anyone saying a word. Stay away from this place.

I have been going to VM Nails for atleast 6yrs. They always do an amazing job no matter who does them. They are professional, kind, and very personable. All their staff are awesome. Absolutely no complaints.ever. Definitely recommend.

I have been going to this salon for years. Their attention to detail is fantastic, it’s very clean and Vivianne and Michelle run a great business. Prices are competitive and very reasonable. I highly recommend them!

These girls are very good. Prices are good, they are very gentle and take their time to do a great job. Be prepared to fall asleep when getting a pedicure. Looking forward to my next visit.

Amazing Salon, everyone here is so kind and talented. They always do such a professional job my nails stay on for MUCH longer then other places I have tried. They also have TONS of shellac colours.

I had a great experience at VM nails today as a first time client. I have been going to another nail salon and my nails are wrecked from it. I have very naturally thin nails and I always remind the manicurist to be gentle at my other salon, and every time I leave with my hands hurting and sometimes bloody from hangnails being ripped out or my skin accidentally ground and bloody. I gave VM a try after a recommendation from a friend and I will definitely be a new client from now on.

They took their time removing the old acrylics and were very gentle (I've had previous nail techs grind right through my nails to the pink skin beneath it before). I could see that they were very busy, but Michelle took her time and never rushed. She did exactly what I asked for and I've honestly never had such beautiful nails in my life. I'm so used to leaving the nail salon and my hands being tender for a few days so imagine my excitement today when I left and I have absolutely no pain. It was a great experience and i'm glad I gave them a try.

They did a good job, but there prices were much higher than any other salon for the same work. No prices were posted and I was shocked by the total. Rip off! Stay away.

It was my first ever pedicure! Hard to compare with other places but it was a good experience. The staff were friendly and answered my questions. I would definitely make an appointment! Great work!

Unorganized, dirty and unpleasant. If I could give this place a 0/5 starts I would. My nails were already short and she decided to spent the whole time filing them down and cutting them. They hurt from how short they are. She didn’t use anything but the file and buffer. No massage. No cuticle tools. Nothing. I had a shellac manicure and she redid least 4 of my nails 3-4 times. I asked her why she was redoing them so many times and she didn’t answer. Overall not pleasant and ended up will nails cut to my cuticles. Save yourself and go somewhere else.

I asked them to soak my feet for another 5 minutes as the sides of my feet were really bad. The girl wasn't impressed. I asked her to really work on the sides of my feet, which she did not.
I came home and had to take the file to my feet over and over to take off what they didnt do.
Not happy at all, will not return.

I’ve been going here for 3 years and every single time they do an amazing job. The service is phenomenal and it is very hygienic. I highly recommend this place to get your nails done. They are amazing at nail art and they have a very wide selection of colours for any nail type (gel, shellac, regular polish). All of the staff are very friendly and they always make conversation with me when I am there. Not once in the 3 years have i had a bad job done on my nails. 11/10 Recommend️

Worst service ever. Went to do a gel manicure. The lady who was sent to do that was continuously talking to other staff sitting next to her and it was so annoying. She doesn't even pay attention to what I want and how I want it to be done. She just ruins my nails. She is so unprofessional. If I could've given 0 stars I would've give them that.

I'm giving this place a 2 star because the girl that did my nails did an aweful job. About 4 weren't filled right and all 4 started to peel off. I didn't bother to go back to fix them.

Awesome place! I’ve almost always had good experiences here. They have a great shellac selection and are generally pretty quick! Call ahead most of the time since they are pretty popular.

One of my favourite nail salons in London! My nails always look great and shellac stays on for a while.

UPDATE: I tried adding a new review, but this doesn't seem to be an option, so I'm updating this one. I went back the next day for a refund. I was informed they would provide a refund as long as I let them remove the shellac manicure they provided. I happily agreed to have it removed. The owner, Vivian, was the one to work on removing the shellac polish. She was doing a great job, so when she offered to redo my nails, I accepted. I was extremely happy with the way she redid my nails. She did a perfect job and they looked impeccable. Vivian 100% redeemed my initial experience and maybe even earned my business in the future, as long as my appointments are with her. I'm uploading updated pictures of the new manicure she provided. I've also changed the rating from a 1 to a 3. I would give Vivian a 5, but the first girl (don't know her name) I would still rate as a 1 and strongly recommend against her services. So a 3 is an average of the two visits. I can't stress enough how thrilled I am with the job Vivian did, my nails look very beautiful. Thanks Vivian.

Initial visit
Horrendous job on my nails. I would give it a zero rating if I could. I'm livid I paid to get my nails done at this place. It is absolutely the worst job ANYONE has EVER done on my nails. They slopped on the nail polish like a 4 year old. Some of the nails aren't even filed properly. I will never return to this place. Those are supposed to be black nails by the way. They are dull and full of bumps (not clearly visible in pics) and speckles. I'm very unhappy with the way my nails look and will go get them fixed somewhere else tomorrow even though I just got them done today.

I’ve been here a few times and it was never anything special but it got the job done. There’s a weird dynamic between some of the women that work there but I just kind of ignored it. Today however, I received absolutely terrible service. I had an appointment and as I arrived several other women who clearly did not have an appointment walked in ahead of me. I was under time constraints so I was a bit concerned but didn’t think too much of it. After being basically Ignored I ended up in a chair with my feet sitting in cold water, and a chair that didn’t work. It was clear I wasn’t going to get any service anytime soon while the people who didn’t bother making an appointment were taken care of. With nice warm water on my feet and a chair that worked I wouldn’t even have actually minded the terrible service as much but it was overall just a totally unpleasant experience and a complete waste of time. I just walked out. I won’t go back.
