Catherine is amazing! I wanted a big change and she gave me great advice, and then gave me exactly the colour and cut I wanted. I've had loads of compliments and am so happy with it. She took the time to listen, style, colour, and was so thorough with the foils. A perfectionist and it shows. Thank you!

Positive experience. Hairstylist was very thoughtful about making sure I was comfortable with the haircut. Pleasant conversation and comfy chairs. Definitely recommend.

* Update: Nov. 22nd. Voila still never tried to reach out or contact me for resolution. My hair is shorter and ends still breaking off.

Expected more after I read reviews.
Front reception, quoted a price, asked if I prefer beginner, intermediate or expert. Intermediate and my service requested. I shared shoulder length hair. Haircut was extra, as well as a blow dry and style. A price was shared,
185.00, wow I thought, but it’s one time. I expected to leave salon with wet uncut hair. When arrived and colour started there was no chat about price, just colour. Another girl came took out foils, shampoo/d out colour. She asked if I wanted it styled? I asked if this is included in initial price and she said yes. Why wouldn’t I go out styled?
Well she didn’t know apparently!
I went to the till. $242.10
“Excuse me “? Then I asked if this included tip? Nope! (and no hair cut, curls fell out in 3 hrs.) I dropped the colour stylist 20$ on top. My hair was healthy when I went in, it’s fried now. I have been frustrated and felt taken. My hair is unhealthy. I’m still doing a head shake!
July 19th, was when I came in.
A 1/2 refund would be appropriate and appreciated. This would honour the price quoted and the conditioning treatment I need now.

Great short hair cut and warm customer service. The head massage during the shampoo portion was excellent.

Outstanding! Exceeded my expectations by far. My wife is a regular at Voila and has been trying to get me to go for some time. Lisa did an amazing job and I do mean amazing. I now have a great appreciation of what a difference a professional stylist can make. Best haircut in 60 years. Thank you Lisa. Looking forward to my next visit. My wife loves the new me once she realised it was her husband and not Brad Pitt.

I’ve been coming to Voila since high school and although they aren’t the most affordable option, every hair change here is worth every penny.
The stylists are super helpful with making suggestions for your hair and they take such good care of you during your time in the salon. I’ve had Bronwyn, Keagan, Brooke, Paris, and Keri work on my hair in the past but everyone here is super talented with their work and friendly! They also offer you tea, water, coffee, etc.while you’re there and when I went from brown hair to the duotone black + blonde hair Keri even stayed back late to make sure I left the salon looking good which was great. I’m going back to her next weekend to go brown again though bc I miss it LOL.

Actually, they didn’t perform any services! I’m smother of the bride who was coming in for a trial run ten days before the wedding because the first one I went for was done by a girl who doesn’t work there anymore. I got there and the stylist wasn’t even there (how does a stylist work 9-2 four days a week? They had me in for a different time the next day, which was bogus because I had a personal appointment booked for the next day for over a month. They all stood looking lost and, when I decided to just leave, looked extremely relieved. I’M THE MOTHER OF THE BRIDE! Thanks for turning this experience into a nightmare!

I made a highlighting appointment with Voila, and was very satisfied! My colourist was Bronwin, and she did a fantastic job! I told her what I wanted, and she delivered exactly what I wanted! Kudos to the woman who did the washing of my hair and the blowout. When she was washing my hair, she also massaged my head and temples, which felt amazing! She was also a pro at the blowout! Thank you for the outstanding job, it is much appreciated!

2018: Very friendly staff and conveniently located near Conestoga Mall. The professionals take time to listen to what you want done and consult you at every staff to make sure you are happy with the work you’re getting done. They accidentally mixed up my appointment once but accommodated me perfectly so I didn’t have to go back twice in the same day. The spa chaises could be a little cleaner but other than that it’s a great location

2021: Keri did my hair and she’s fantastic to work with! She listened to what I wanted, gave recommendations and I got a really great haircut and style. The covid 19 protocols are in place so you can go in safely and feel comfortable

Came here a couple of weeks ago and it was my first hair cut in over 7 months (sporting the pandemic look). I came in looking like a caveman and I left looking handsome enough for my wife to recognize me again. This was all thanks to Carley who was easy to talk to, skilled and super professional. This establishment is clean, well kept and they sanitize each station after every use.

I have been going to Voila Northgate for many years and have always walked away happy. Recently I've be seeing Carley and am pleased with how open she is to incorporating ideas and suggestions with my colour and style. She is warm and friendly, and I will continue to have her as my stylist <3

For years I had friends that could swear by this place but unfortunately my experience has been nothing short of disappointing and down right unacceptable. I came in July with boxed hair coloured hair after covid assuming I would require a colour correction which I was told I would not need. I was requesting brown base and balayage highlights, what I received was black hair with highlights that could only be seen in the sun I was quoted $250-$300 paid $400 for the visit. I went home and cried for about a week but I still had hope that going in the next time I would be able to get my desired results. This visit was by far worse as my hair dresser spent little to no time with me or even interested in what I was looking for, all felt very rushed, she slapped some colour on it then left me for over an hour sitting alone, did not check on me while she took 2 separate clients and she had the shampoo girl finish my hair and styling at the end I felt very unimportant as a client who is handing over hundreds of dollars and not even getting my desired result. Both times resulting in me leaving with hair dye on my ears and face. I again did balayage and roots for this I was quoted $150-$200 I paid closer to $300. A month has gone by and I went to another location to see about pricing and advice and I was advised that to go forward I do infact require a colour correction as there is multiple tones in my hair and it’s far to dark to get my desired look without first correcting it, which I requesting during my first visit here at voila. I am very shy and not at all out spoken which is why I allowed them to take advantage of me but after hearing what another salon has told me I feel that I must speak out. I am
Left with a base that is much much darker than I requested and highlights that are multi toned and brassy I have given them close to If not more than $700 in two months and during both visits I was not asked even once how I felt about the results and if I liked the work that was done. I would highly recommend going to another studio/salon one where they appreciate and respect their clients. Don’t get me wrong, everyone is super friendly and smile on face but as I explained they do not care about what you want or how you feel, from my experience they charge more than quoted and as for the stylist telling me that I do not require a colour correction when I did I can only assume uneducated in this line of work or not as experienced as they should be to be working on clients. For some people $700 doesn’t seem like much but for a young student who is unable to work during covid that was every cent I had to my name and now I’m struggling to fix my hair and I do not feel my best: (

I went in to have my baylage done since I missed being able to get in due to the COVID shut down. Keri did a great job in taking her time to understand the colour, tones and texture that I was looking for. She was patient and did a great job sanitizing all the stations we used. She also offered a complimentary beverage and made my 4 hour appointment very pleasant. After my colour services she cut and styled my hair and offered advice on different products that I could use in my daily routine to help maintain my new look. I left the salon feeling very pleased and like a brand new me!

I love this Salon and continue to drive from out of town to come here. The atmosphere is relaxing and the stylists are so talented!

Sylvia has given me the best haircuts of my LIFE. I return to her over and over again.

Kathy did my hairstyle for my wedding and it was better than I could have dreamt. She even incorporated some live roses into my hair and they stayed in place for the whole day.

From the time that I book the appointment until the time that I leave from my service, the staff is consistent with friendly conversation and professionalism. Voila Northgate is knowledgeable about the latest styles and trends. I would highly recommend this salon for all your hair care needs. A+

Went here for the first time last week and loved it. They were all so friendly and Carley did a great job! She listened to everything I wanted and we talked about what would work for my hair and what should be adjusted from the style I asked about. I have nothing negative to say about my experience. I'll definitely be going back to Voila Northgate!

Been going here for a long time but ever since I died my hair platinum with them I have seen a shift in customer service. They never ask enough questions over the phone about my hair or look in my file which results in them not booking enough time for my hair to be done. After a while the stylists get aggitaded or rushed becuasue of the timing and make it feel like my fault.not a good feeling.love the atmosphere and they truly do a great job but not sure if i'll be going back if this keeps happening.

First time visiting and the staff was so nice and friendly. Love my hair cut and brows. Also got lucky and had a complementary hand massage! I think I have found my new salon! Will be back.

I was a regular customer here for almost 2 years. However, everytime I went I did not receive the same treatment as other customers. I thought maybe it was because my stylist was just not as chatty. I would go out my way to make conversation to her. Anyhow on my last visit she said that she would charge an extra $30 just to put a little curtain around where her station was. I thought that was ridiculous it wasn’t a big deal to put that curtain on but she made a problem. Anyhow that was my last visit.

This place treats you like royalty! The services are amazing! The place is beautiful! And it’s always nice to be pampered with hand massages and complimentary refreshments. I wouldn’t go anywhere else! Thank you for an amazing time, everytime!

Sylvia has been fantastic. I wanted to allow my hair to show its natural tones yet still look good. She worked with me to find a cut that works with my hair, is stylish, easy to manage and very professional. The salon is great, the staff are helpful, friendly and accommodating. Recommend Voila Northgate highly.

I have been coming here for years and have had colour/cuts from many of the staff. I have loved each hair cut, and the head and hand massages are also amazing!

Great salon, great staff and service! Business hours are a little confusing but I’m glad I caught them in time for once to get a hair cut:). Bang trims are complimentary if you get them done at Voila.:)! Unfortunately my bangs got butchered after my 3rd trim, and usually they do a great job. Now we’re stuck wearing a headband. I had curtain bangs but now they’re full, uneven bangs: (waiting for them to grow out now so we can start the process over. Probably just an off day.

You get a lot of excellent service for your money. I can only recommend that place. Nice clean and friendly.

Love this salon! I drive from Toronto to get my hair done here. It's VIP treatment for a fantastic price. Head and hand massage and fancy complimentary drinks. The staff is so warm and welcoming as well. I highly recommend Voila!

It's very neat and homey inside! They start with offering you a drink while you wait.i often have trouble describing the style and cut I want, but the stylist I had knew what small questions to ask to have me properly describe my style without confusion.she double checked my preferences so I wouldn't end up with a cut I didn't want, and let me know what she was doing as she cut so I wouldn't worry.

I just got my hair cut today by Jenny and she did a great job! It was my first time at this salon and I immediately felt welcomed into their warm atmosphere by both the receptionist and Jenny. The hot apple cider was a nice touch on a snowy day but I also got got the haircut I wanted, and a complimentary hand massage! Afterward, when I stood up to leave, a friendly young man who works there, just happen to look over at us with a nice smile and then he waved at me. It was a quick gesture but good to be acknowledged after a very busy and stressful week. Overall, I had a positive experience at Volia at Northgate and I have already recommended it to others. Thank you very much to all staff!

I had a stylist named Gabe and he was amazing, I couldn't be more happy with my cut. I have curly hair and i have found it very difficult to find a stylist that knows how to tame the beast. I don't want it straightened in a generic way that all hair dressers can do well, he listened to me and really found a hair style that expressed my personality. Not to mention he was an absolute pleasure. There have only been two hair cuts in my life that I have been completely happy with, this was one of them, the other was at this very salon by Mercedes, also amazing. If you have curly hair you have to go here.

Had my wedding hair & makeup done at Voila Northgate. Sylvia and Mercedes really went above and beyond to make sure I had a great experience. Through sweat and tears, my hair and makeup stayed in place! I was impressed by Voila's customer-first attitude and welcoming atmosphere. The free hand massage was a nice relaxing part of a big day!
