My experience here was the most uncomfortable I’ve ever been in an establishment. My friend and I saw the photos online and were confused when we were seated for our reservation. The area we were sat in did not look like the photos at all. The door was also wide open while we are experiencing a cold fall. The host tried to sit us at a table directly in front of this open door although there were MANY available tables in the back and front. My friend asked if we could sit elsewhere and the host CONTEMPLATED as if it would be a difficult thing to do.

At first, we thought the location in the photos did not exist, but to our surprise while going to the bathroom, we can see the actual nice area with ample seating. We couldn’t help but question why we were sat in the small, front area where it is cold, instead of the back area where it was nice and expected to sit. Another group of minority women were sat next to us and the hostess pushed tables together for them to sit when the back area has booths that would surely sit the three of them perfectly without her doing extra work.

I asked if that area was specific to reservations and was told that it is not, and that walk-ins could sit there. We had a reservation and was still not even offered to sit in that area. I’m not sure how they are deciding who sits where, but it is seemingly prejudicial. The staff were also cold and rude. They wouldn’t even say “you’re welcome” and took forever to tend to our table. Our waitress even rolled her eyes while answering my question. I will not be returning here and would not recommend to others.

Overall, the food was decent but definitely overpriced for the portions. Not worth the visit to deal with terrible service. They also automatically charge a 4% “economic relief fee”. Beware.

I had a recent dining experience at this restaurant, and while the food was undeniably delicious and the service was quite pleasant, I was a bit disappointed by the hostess's demeanor. The dishes we ordered were well-prepared and left our taste buds delighted. The servers were attentive and courteous, ensuring a great overall dining experience. However, the initial interaction with the hostess left something to be desired, as her demeanor was not very pleasant. Despite this, I would still recommend the restaurant for its scrumptious cuisine and friendly waitstaff, hoping that they might address the issue with the hostess's attitude.

Nice calm atmosphere, great wine selection. Had the grape leaves and meatball appetizers, both of which were fantastic. The Lamb Shank was a delightful entree.

Started off with baguette rather than pita, which was a little surprising for a Greek restaurant. Our waiter was super friendly and helpful. The saganaki and orecchiette pasta were the best. Also tried the eggplant spread and saffron ice cream but was not a huge fan.

Just had a wonderful dinner! Alessandro took care of our every need. The prawn appetizer and calamari was perfect. Entree and chocolate mousse perfectly prepared. Only topped by by Ouzo shots at the bar with Maria. Welcoming, elegant and perfectly prepared meal. Will definitely be back

The finest spot to get home-cooked cuisine is here. It tastes like it was prepared in your mother's kitchen. Highly recommended.

We were late due to the fog and traffic. The so-called manager (Ronnie) was VERY rude and arrogant. Two reservations behind us was late as well. We decided to do carry out… Ronnie still gave us a hard time. Stated we still needed to be seated. We were good with standing-he insisted we needed to be seated. This man here! I told him, he had HORRIBLE customer service. His response with a thank you. I asked to speak to the manager, he stated he was the general manager so I had no one to complain too. Food is wasn’t 4.5 quality. Asked for no olives-my dish was full of olives. The phone review would not allow me to attach my dish full of olives.

The restaurant was packed on a Tuesday evening when we were there so it was a little noisy, but the staff were fantastic and gave us the quietest table in the house. As always, Lindsay, our server, was attentive, knowledgeable, appropriately warm and professional. Volos does not disappoint!

Amazing service, atmosphere and food. My dad and I came here for dinner while we were spending a few nights in Toronto and were greeted warmly by Danielle at the door and served by Hugo who was incredibly friendly. The saganaki cheese was delicious, so was our Greek wine and main meals. We had the chocolate mousse for dessert and despite being very full from our meals we were able to finish it no problem.

The service was wonderful last night and the food was amazing! 10/10 would go again and recommend to all of you! Every bite was delicious!

Great service, delicious food and an amazing wine selection! They have a great prix fixe menu for those going to a show after. If you’re going to the ballet or opera right by, this is the perfect place for dinner!

Food was good. Location was busy, upbeat and easy to find. Service was a little eh, felt a little rushed at first and once I became firm with my expectations things went my way. Overall, nice date spot, dress nice as it’s a nice atmosphere

Decided to pick Volos Greek Cuisine for our department holiday lunch and was not disappointed. The manager Rony was easy to reach and were accommodating for our requests of private dinning room for 28 people as well drink ticket options. The service we received on the day of the event was excellent, our server Jason was quick, witty, and charming when handing our orders and kept us entertained through out the 4 hours of our stay. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and the food was top notch, 5/5 would recommend for special events and gatherings.

Highly recommend, food and service is outstanding. I had the lamb shank and saganaki they flamed the cheese at the table (I love when they do that!) lamb shank wasn't too gamey and cooked perfect, meat was falling off the bone, perfect portions of veggies. Staff are ON POINT.they check on you, refill your water/wine. Chris is the GM really nice man. I look forward to hosting a small event here next week. Yes they have a private event space. I will be back! Anyone visiting the @sheratonhotel at 123 Queen street. Go to Volos, you won't be disappointed!

10 of us went there for my wife's birthday. Service was fantastic as was the quality of the food. Everyone left full and satisfied. Was pricey, but nothing outrageous for what you get. The lamb shank that I had was dynamite!

On the more expensive side however the server was fantastic, and so was the food. Amazing deserts too.

Spreads were good. For some reason they were served with baguette breads. Not sure if that's common here but I was expecting some fresh pita bread. Texture of the baguette was too hard for me. Also didn't have enough servers. 1-2 guys were attending the whole restaurant. Obviously didn't receive good service - didn't offer to refill the water or soda once. Took forever to bring the check. But food (spreads, octopus, halibut) was still good. Didn't like the eggplant spread.

What an amazing experience. I wanted to try a new Greek spot for our anniversary and our server Mimoza really took care of us, she was attentive to our needs the whole night. Beautiful restaurant with awesome details that complement all the experience and the food was spectacular. Had an amazing anniversary and such a great time eating here.

Had the Summerlicious menu - cold cucumber soup, lamb shank, and chocolate mousse. All excellent!

Went there to dine in and the food was amazing, service was really great, they bring in your food at the right time, it's not a long wait but it also doesn't come to fast and the ambiance of the restaurant is really nice!
The price is up there but in my opinion it's worth it! It was the best moussaka I've had and the braised lamb shank literally falls off the bone!
Not sure if there's parking but it's like a 5min walk from the Osgoode subway station or 20min walk from union station

The last time we dined here was in 2015, and were so pleased during this trip to find it’s still in existence. It was great then, and still great now in 2022.

One of the BEST Greek restaurants we’ve ever been to. We enjoyed a glass of Prosecco along w/ a super fresh Greek salad. The Mediterranean seafood stew was amazing. The Moussaka was phenomenal- the best my husband has ever had (it’s his entree measuring stick in any Mediterranean restaurant). We had a second Prosecco each, and enjoyed that too!

The service was outstanding- our server Karla anticipated our needs w/ water refills, cutlery options at the exact moment we needed them; she also made great menu suggestions that were accurate and delicious.

If you love Greek/ Mediterranean food be sure to dine here!

Lively atmosphere- lots of large groups of office workers, and it’s fun to watch the staff serve the flaming Saganaki cheese appetizer.

Went for friends 15 year anniversary. Lamb shank was tender and tasty a must try. Wife had the salmon but wasn't anything special wouldn't suggest it. Had the Greek yogurt, simple yet my go to every time i go. Waitress was friendly but not overly attentive, that I would say needed improvement. They suggested business causal but half most people didn't abide by it. Atmosphere was quite pleasent.

Dining in Toronto can be a hit or miss or just overpriced but this place is a total gem. Great value for the quality you get and the food is just *chef’s kiss* The seafood is so fresh and cooked to perfection. The dolmades, grilled calamari, Volos seafood salad and fisherman’s seafood stew is a MUST try xo

Been to this restaurant many times and it never disappoints. Excellent Greek food. Amazing lamb shank and wild salmon. The service is always great. Would highly recommend

After a long day at Niagara Falls and facing an early morning departure, we wanted a quick dinner. This restaurant was nearby the hotel and we got what we wanted. The sea bass and lamb shank were excellent and the server obliged our desire to have our dinner quickly. The service was excellent and we highly recommend.

Walked into Volos one night and have been coming back ever since. Food is a little slow coming out when they are busy but the food is great and the staff are very friendly

Great food and ambiance! The octopus was very fresh and tender, and the salmon excellently prepared. The staff was very friendly and ready to help in any way possible.

Other location is alright but the food and drink items are very overpriced. You probably won’t be full afterwards and end up spending more money than you were expecting here. The service is great though and the staff are friendly. There are better Greek options around Toronto - would recommend giving this one a pass.

Do yourself a favor - Tell them your allergies and what you like to eat in general. Get the saganaki and live a little and try the octopus. Leave the rest to them.

Wonderful business lunch. Good simple starters with Greek salad and Calamari, and well executed mains of sea food and veal

Came here for my birthday meal with my mother. The food was spectacular the Greek wine was incredible and the service was efficient! A beautiful evening!

I would have given this restaurant a five star for the food but the service was really garbage, there is a tall waiter that served us today that is really horrible! Its like somebody forcing him to work! On the contrary there was a young lady serving the table beside us and u could hear how interactive and joyful she was, its really a shame that such a fine greek restaurant hire such people that ruin the work of his coworkers!

We came for winterlicious, group of 4. The ambiance was amazing and most of the servers were good. The one that was assigned to our table was kind of weird and unfriendly, kinda even got a secluded vibe since we were all brown guys. The food was amazing minus the Lamb Shank which was probably a popular item for winterlicious so I'll avoid that next time, but I the shrimp, salmon, and sides were phenomenal.

The desserts were really good, my friends said it was the best baklava they've ever had. I had the mousse was also amazing. I've been here before, I'll definitely be back.

The place is alright. Decent price for the location. Friendly staff. Nothing notable as to the food. It's alright.

Expensive, but delicious. I’ve never had a bad meal here. HIGHLY recommend any of the seafood. The saganaki is also fun

I came here for some pre-symphony food. It was incredibly lively at the restaurant, but not too loud that you had to show at people across from you. The main dining area is large, and bright; great for groups or a date.

The menu has all of the traditional Greek staples you all crave. Portion sizes were reasonable and the food was full of flavour. A nice spot for some upscale Greek food in the heart of the financial district, close to a lot of show spots.

Interesting menu with a large choice of dishes mainly Greek type. It's a beautiful place right downtown Toronto. Good for company dinners date and other celebrations.

Love the energy of the waiter and food was delicious. However was a bit shorthanded with the staff or else would had gotten 5stars.

We had a disappointing experience in this restaurant.most of the waitresses are very irrevalant, whenever we asked them to bring something they ignored us and the place was not even full there were only 3 tables at the moment.

I had the traditional soup, and sea bass it was very delicious. The staff are nice, The place is nice overall I recommend it.

Had the Moussaka.was very mediocre.and I was looking FWD to it as I've had it in a few Greek restaurants.

My sister went to this place on Thursday of last week. She placed her order over the phone with a manager named Chris. She placed an order for the Horiatiki salad, shrimp and potatoes. She picked up the order and went back to work, and a couple minutes into eating she noticed a 1” piece of black hair in her salad, attached to the cheese. She immediately called and spoke to Chris. She told him she was calling to express her disappoint and complain so that they instruct the kitchen staff to wear hair nets. Chris then replied that the staff that made the food wore hair nets, so my sister asked how a hair would get into her food if that was the case. He eventually said he would place another order and bring it to her workplace which was 2 mins away from their location. He brought the food and showed her a picture of the staff member wearing a hairnet but said that the sides of the hair is not covered, and so that was probably why. My sister returned all the food, and showed Chris the piece with hair in it, but to my sister’s surprise, they only brought a new salad even through other food was packaged with it. If she knew she would only be getting a salad she wouldn’t have even bothered. What kind of customer service is that especially from an establishment such as this. Needless to say, we will never eat here again.

Decoration is greek but that's as far as it goes. No greek would serve you 3 kalamari, 3 dolma, 3 soutzoukaki and 3 feta with honey with something vaguely looking like regurgitated Greek salad and charge you $200 for it.
Honestly, if you are Greeks, you would know a dish is not only about taste but also looks. It has to look good and enough. Greeks love food. Your dishes were a discrace to the country's kitchen. Rename yourselves, you are not worth the name of the Volos city.

Great Greek food experience right in the heart of downtown Toronto. Not terribly pricey either, but if you hit the wine and somewhat exotic (but awesome) beer selections they offer you'll reach your dining out budget cap quickly.
I attended a corporate event with about 20 people and the service was very slow that evening even though the restaurant wasn't that busy. My waiter missed an offered refill that night, but the food was amazing and cooked perfectly - so it was almost worth the wait. I definitely would go again to give them another chance at better service.

Food was outstanding but the service was subpar. Empty drinks. Repeatedly had to ask our server for items. There are much better restaurants in the area.

Want to have some great seafood, this is the place. We had grilled Moroccan octopus, grilled calamari, an amazing grilled cheese a very popular ask on the menu (enjoy the video attached), fisherman’s stew, grilled Mediterranean Sea bass and red snapper. Amazing ambience and good options for wine. If you need cocktails which is off the menu, but you can call for it and it can be custom made.

Appetizers were great - arugula with shaved fennel salad and the grilled Octopus. The mains were a little disappointing though. My rack of lamb was cooked to chef recommended medium, which ended up being a mostly grey medium-well. The flavour was there though and the dish was otherwise OK. My wife's Red Snapper was the low-point of the meal; it was either not fresh or something was off in the preparation. It had a sandy texture and lacked flavour. Overall with a couple of glasses of wine each it was an expensive meal considering the disappointing mains. We ended up doing a late night run to Rodney's for some oysters and scallops in order to satisfy the seafood craving.

Fantastic meal, the calamari was sooooo delicious, and the desserts, we couldn't decide, so ordered one of each. The figs and yogurt was my favourite, and this is coming from a sworn chocolate lover!

My personal measure of a good seafood restaurant is their scallops. Do them right and the odds are that they get the rest right. My dining partner had perfect grilled sea bass. Point proven.

Great food and atmosphere. Waiter had a tendency to always take our drinks away before we were finished.

Enjoyed most of it, service was good and quick, food was great too, though starters are bit small. However, some drunk people we didnt know were bothering us by touching and trying to talk to girls from our party at the table despite numerous warnings till I had to stand up and tell them off.
Request to manager - if you see drunk people roaming around, get them seated before they spoil anyone else's experience. Would be a 5 star review otherwise, instead, left insulted.

OPA! The Volos service team was impeccable, so engaging! The Meal was incredible and we really enjoyed all the tastes that we encountered during the meal. Top dish: The savoury squid!

I went here approximately 5 months ago, after I graduated from my undergraduate program. The food was so good that me and my family still talk about it to this day. It's now my family's official go to spot for our next big occasion.
We had ordered the salmon and the lamb. Both were impeccable.

The good: Decent table service.

The bad: Ingredients of questionable quality, the food was not well prepared and flavors all over the place. Everything was extremely overpriced.

My entire party did not enjoy the experience. It's overhyped and we'll located so that seems too help it stay open. I would NOT recommend it.

Due to versatile reviews and recommendations, we decided to give it a try and we're pleasantly surprised! Good food, cozy ambience and simply great place to getaway on a weekday dinner. Thank you.
