Big spacious and clean supermarket to visit. Prices are okay except on sale items. Products seemed to be of good quality. Quite busy place in the weekend.

First time visiting this location on our way thru Port Perry. What a bright clean beautiful store. I know this location has been there for some time as we pass it frequently but the appearance was that of a new store. Checkout cashier not the friendliest, just doing her job kinda person, maybe having a bad day. However, we really liked it, and will stop in again in the very near future.

We haven't been in Vos' Independent for several years. The transformation is sensational. The store ranks with Brown's Independent in Stittsville. The Port Hope Independent could take lessons from both.

Love the new improvements, wish the clothing had more diversity in sizes. I also find that their dishes and home goods are a bit over priced the quality is decent but I’m unsure who would want to buy an individual bowl for $6– wish they sold as sets.

Not the First time!

Purchased water bottle with refundable deposit of $10 which they won’t refund when returned. When I purchased the water it was $16 which I questioned and was told there was a $10 deposit fee which would be refunded when returned. They said they no
Longer refund this. I told them I bought it a week ago and they should train staff not to
Tell people things they have no intention of doing. I shop there all summer when I’m at trailer but will no longer be shopping there. Very disappointed in my treatment today

There has been a restructuring of the store, and they have discontinued stocking some basic grocery items. We are finding we now have to go to another store to get some of the basics. Inconvenient to make multiple stops when we use to be able to make one. They are carrying far more non-grocery items. There is a local part-owner, and I'd be willing to bet this is a corporate decision, not the local owner's.

I used to love this place cause it was nice and felt like a town grocery store. The cashiers would talk to you during checkout, the people at the counters were friendly, and the butcher was amazing. Now the butcher counter is completely gone, cashiers have been replaced with self checkout stations, and everything is completely moved around. The new layout feels stale and overly corporate. I overheard some girls who worked there talking about how "some locations bake their own cookies but we don't do that here".
It's the only decent grocery store in town so it's not like I'm about to go somewhere else, I just miss what it was and don't like the direction they're going. Who knows how much choice they had though, I guess. Maybe it's a corporate request or something.

Stopped in for coffee and ended up getting a deli lunch of chicken and onion rings. The deli staff were just delightful and making the best of it despite a bit of challenge working around construction.

Good quality produce and a splendid bakery make this a well rounded grocery store. The store offers the standard President’s Choice products and a slowly increasing international fare.

Prices are reasonable. The Joe Fresh store inside has great discounts running and I got a good shirt for $14. We also got muffins, strudels and cup cakes in discount for just $7 all together in an offer.

Good size store for a small town. Lots of fresh, ready to eat meals. They even have suet balls rolled in bird seed. Woodpeckers love it.

Not happy with the service I got today regarding bad meat the meat department was good customer service but the customer service lady up front was terrible and they gave me 13$ when my ribs were 19$ and they are so fatty and wouldn't let me pick

This place is ridiculously over priced. I've compared numerous products and some are priced at a 200% hike. Yeah the variety is great but at what cost.

Clean clear isles, sale items good but expensive rest of store. Always stoked shelves and courteous staff.

Well I've learned my lesson. After refusing to shop at your store for over a year I came in after work today to try and get stuff for my lunches.and once again met with rude, entitled teenage brats working. Was refused service and told 'I've already cleaned it'. 40 minutes before closing.

Just tried your store again.and again.rude staff, rotten produce on the shelves and a VERY rude security employee at the door. Congrats Vos.you've permanently lost my business, my families business.

Quite often is out of products, produce can be bad on the shelves, grocery shelves are often unorganized and empty. Staff seem uninterested, and the store bakery staff seem to always be late. Went it at 715am and was told bakery staff didn't show up on time. Would rather drive to Whitby for groceries then shop here.

This is my usual grocery store and they started doing curbside pickup at the beginning of the pandemic. The past 5 orders I've placed for express pickup have been either wrong or bad. I've had whole bags missing from my order, rotten chicken, and items that bundle to make a deal "happen" to be out of stock so they can charge you more for the one (I went in and the product I ordered was available on the shelf). I spoke to a manager named Heather and I can see why everything is falling apart. All she had to say was "We're working on it" and didn't even apologize for the poor service or look to make things right. I pay a convenience fee for this service and I end up having to do the shop myself. Poor management and poor customer service.

Vos isn't to bad stuff members are up and down though, most time they make you feel like you're inconveniencing them asking them to get you something. Other then that though stores not bad

Place is disorganized.could open all the cashes when the line up to pay is all the way to the back to end of freezer section!

Always great deals. And already cooked BQ chicken already to serve still hot in the warmer at the front entrance.pay right for fast take out.

It is OK for small shopping. They do not larger varieties of stock. I prefer going to Whitby or Oshawa for better selection.

Very disappointed with the manager at this location.

We were on a family outing when my 5 year old need to use the washroom, we went inside wearing the proper PPE for covid 19, I asked the manager if we could use the washroom and he was extremely rude to us, needless to say we weren't allowed to use the washroom. To make matters worse my 5 year old soiled herself in the car just moments later.

Socially distanced. Carts are sanitized before every use. The store has an expansive selection of produce and grocery items.

Came in to get some groceries and they told me I needed to sanitize. I explained that I'm allergic to hand sanitizer and that it makes me break out badly so she said wear gloves instead then. I proceeded to put on the gloves and she said now sanitize the gloves too. I asked if I can just wear the gloves as they are of a thin plastic material and I don't want to chance any sanitizer getting through. She proceeded to refuse to let me in so I asked if I could speak to a manager.

I explained the situation to the manager, and she said "well everything in the store is sprayed down with sanitizer so what difference does it make? ". I said "I don't think that's safe or sanitary to have all of your food and grocery items sprayed down with sanitizer". She then proceeded to tell me to leave the property and that I will no longer be allowed to shop there until I start applying chemicals to my skin that I'm allergic to. Other employee's present looked at each other and giggled as if it was all just a big joke.

I was very calm, patient and friendly through it all but the lack of sympathy and understanding here was just horrendous. It is illegal to refuse anyone service and the right to buy food due to a medical condition or allergy. I attempted to call to speak to a manager afterwards for extra clarity on the situation and I assume I must have got the same rude, unsympathetic lady who just repeated the same thing.

Stay far away from this unprofessional establishment where they get off from treating you like dirt and just another number.

Excellent selection of fresh food and the deli counter offers a very good selection of meals and sandwiches

The good thing about shopping here is because here you find everything a little great prices, and when you have even better deals! Very friendly, friendly staff and good service! Come check I like to do my shopping when I go to the side of there!

You have to watch expired dates. I bought muffin mix and when I got it home noticed the ex date was Dec 26/18. Took it back and they put it back on the shelf. Next time in I noticed the same pkg and took it back to CSU again. Tried buying it again and the pkg was even older.

Very nice store. A huge variety of food and grocery options from baked goods, to allergen friendly foods, to fresh produce to desserts. Also includes a pharmacy, gift card shop and a very spacious parking lot.

Clean store with great staff. Has meals to go, deli, bakery, fish counter etc as well as all the normal grocery items including organic options. Sells beer. Also wine kit shop in the store. Sells Joe's clothing.

This grocery store isn't "just" a grocery store! It has clothes and lots of other great products put out according to the current season; keeping up with the current popular items customers enjoy! AND the fact that's it's in PORT PERRY! That's just an automatic enjoyable experience! If you live in Port Perry or even just driving through, I would defiantly recommend taking the time to drive down that Main St. Too! Lot's of AWSOME stores in this amazing thriving town! 2 tumbs ups! For Port Perry and the Independent Store!

Overall, this seemed like a decent enough store with good variety and nice enough fresh offerings but prices for a lot of things were somewhat high to very high with the occasional decent priced items here and there, compared with a Walmart or RCSS. More like a really large convenience store, which I guess is why prices are up there.

I love their meals to go.we get the chicken tenders, potato wedges and mac & cheese quite often.very big selection of product since it is a massive grocery store for being in a small-ish town

I live in Port Perry walking distance. Lately I've been in Vos BEER numerous times the fridge and shelfs have been empty like they don't want to sell it

Found everything I was looking for. Except we won't buy Bananas here anymore. Last 3 attempts awful.

Completely underwhelming, the pharmacist was condescending and completely not helpful. Treated me like riffraff, not to repeat

We had a cake made at this bakery for our daughters 6th birthday, the cake was absolutely stunning! The staff went above and beyond. We highly recommend Independent Grocer bakery. Thank you!

This is the best store in Port Perry. As a person who values healthly food, Vos has a great section for organics and healthy food. This store is always clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The owner Terry is always on the lookout to improve sevice and quality. I also shop Vos for seasonal gifts, cards, clothes and more. They also have a wonderful bakery area. Love the cakes here!

Some items are pricier here than other places, but the meat selection is excellent and well stocked.

Great store with friendly helpful staff. But when it comes to produce could use better inventory management. Frequently out of popular items. Ie mushrooms herbs peppers

Big, well stocked and organized. Always lots of value deals. Pleasant shopping but sometimes check out can be slow, and no self check out available. Beer and wine sold here.

Lots of choice. Nice big & bright store. Love their bread & meat sections. Beautiful location right on Lake Scugog.
