I haven't been in a while, but I was not disappointed. The service was great and the food was delicious. Definitely a great place to eat.

3 pcs of vegetable tempura is $11, it’s really overprice. Chicken tonkatsu and spicy bolgogi prices are really expensive, yes portion is big but taste not worth the price. The only thing I am satisfied is the place it is spacious. Service is good.

Cindy is the best server! Incredibly quick and friendly service as well as delicious sushi.

Plain, and overpriced (Tempura plate is 12$ for a piece of shrimp, two slices of calamari ring, and 3 pieces of scallop on a stick).
Service is good, The copy of the menu we quickly noticed is on a lightly crumpled papers stapled together. We had the Shrimp yaki udon, beef bulgogi and the said tempura plate for 80$.

Good food, good service. Beef teriyaki was satisfying. Perfectly cooked medium rare. Spicy Salmon roll is a bit crumbly.

Walked out before ordering anything after a long wait. Menu is now a QR code, took us 10 minutes to realize this as no menu was brought by and no one mentioned it. No wifi available so you need data on your phone to be able to order something? Really not accessible. Menu has no details about the food and you have to scroll through a million things. Price has gone up. Didn't seem to want our business at all.

This Japanese restaurant is below average, especially with the pricing that they have on their menus. For example, the sashimi sampler, which consists of 1 of each (Tuna, Salmon, White Tuna, Shrimp, Octopus, Yellow tail) costs $15. I understand if it was premium fish, but the taste of all the sashimi is basically what you can find in ANY all you can eat Japanese restaurant, nothing special.

But good for them, because they are the only Japanese restaurant in the area, so they can charge a premium price for regular tasting food.

Love this place, however beware that when they're busy the portion sizes are smaller, and they forget ingredients or condiments if you're doing take-out.

My advice is to go on a normal day.

Great service. Treated us like a close friend. Food was great too. Seated us last minute and didn’t kick us out after closing. Let us finish.

Very fresh sashimi, sushi and sushi rolls. Tempura was also excellent - perfectly light batter and well cooked.

One of the best sushi places in the North only better 0lace I've had sushi is Saporro in Sudbury!

We had an amazing lunch for a special occasion. The waitress was fantastic as usual. Hope to return next year again!

Haven't been since the pandemic.disappointed in changes. Decor is nicer now (outdated before) no more hibachi tables, menu is not as good, everything is crazy expensive (as we understand with cost of everything) and to be honest what we ordered was OK.not awesome. Not 5 star.just ok.pretty disappointed.the staff however was lovely.

Possibly the worst meals We’ve had. We ordered a teriyaki takeout for dinner. We have had several meals from Waboro and this was a disaster. The chicken was over cooked, the veggies were almost raw, the rice was cold paste. At $67 this was an unexpected ripoff.

The best sushi I have ever had, hands down! The crispy crunch roll is my go to favourite. I have visited Wabora many times and I have never been disappointed.

We enjoyed out visit here and will definitely return. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The selection of rolls is great and everything was delicious and high quality.

Best lunch deal in Bracebridge. Our favourite is the Katsu (crispy chicken) Bento Box for $19 which will last you the rest of the day. So many great tastes! Friendly and leisurely service. No fast food here. Highly recommended.

This was my go to restaurant for special occasions, however, I’m not sure what happened. Was it the Pandemic that made you change? Ownership change? I cannot ever go back to this restaurant again. We recently went for a special anniversary meal. We were put at a dirty table while a young waiter quickly served his other 20 tables. The rest of the restaurant was empty. We were told to use our own phone service to read their menu…so I asked for a paper menu. It took forever. I’m not sure if they printed it off but it came and we ordered. My husband is a celiac so this restaurant has always been a safe place for him plus the bonus …. They always have the Gluten Free Soya Sauce. Not now. So my husband’s entire meal had to be eaten dry, without the option of mixing wasabi with his sauce. The boat we ordered came on a serving tray …. Not sure why we didn’t get the boat meal served in a boat. It was such a disappointment. The food was ok, but overall so disappointing for the cost. To top it all off, the end cost was 45% higher than usual. Not ever going back.

Really nice place to visit for some delicious Japanese and Korean food! Definitely a good pick in the area

Save your money and your time.

We came here years ago and remembered it being great so we figured it was worth the 30 minute drive.

Food was ok but not worth it for the awful service we received. It should have been a red flag when we sat down and no one came to our table for 10 minutes but we figured we would give it a chance. After receiving part of our order our waitress disappeared. Sat there for 15 minutes flagging down another waiter just to ask for the bill and cancel the food we did not receive.

I understand restaurants are short staffed but for the amount of people in the restaurant there was no reason for it to be this bad.

Never saw our waitress again…

Service was not very good, the server seemed like they didn't want us there (party of 10) and did not check on the table very often even though the restaurant was empty.display of sushi was definitely great. The price of some of the food almost made me leave though, I understand what it costs to dine out but be prepared for a big bill.

Always high quality, always great service. Just went in for a couple of bento boxes this time, But you can't go wrong coming to Wabora at any time.

Usually really good this time not so much. Menu and wait staff needs to be more accurate with what you are ordering and what they are serving.

Food was excellent, restaurant was busy and Service was great, despite the server looking after 8 - 10 tables by Herself with more than 25 customers. Bento Box is the best Lunch value in all of Muskoka.

Fav restaurant, bit pricey, but they have a large selection of rolls without rice, and they are the best rolls ever!

We have ordered here over the years, it is always delicious and we have never had a bad server. But on Tuesday when we were there the online menu was super hard to read and lots of spelling mistakes and errors all over it, someone needs to go through and revise it. Also, you have to go to a separate section for drinks instead of having it all on one menu. When asked for a paper menu they were not clean and had stains all over them and were not presentable at all. After ordering our drinks I was very disappointed in the Cesar, they lacked any garnish and only came with a slice of lime.

Fabulous, excellent service for sure, my server was grrrrreat, lovely lady. Fresh delicious very original and I give two thumbs up. Bracebridge is lucky to have this great taste of the world at its fingertips.

For a night out in Bracebridge this place is a treat.sushi option in town, but even with the current price of gas it might be worth the drive to Barrie to get more standard prices and equally delicious food.

Best spot for sushi in Muskoka. One of my favourite places to dine in as well. Large selection and very good quality. Service has always been great and welcoming.

Quality doesn’t match the price. The same quality sushi as any other Japanese restaurant but double the price. Must be a premium for being in Bracebridge.

Sushi was good, steak was alright, service was excellent, the girl serving us was helpful and knowledgeable. But $16.95 for 8 Green dragon rolls is a little pricey.

I would give these guys a 5 star for their food but a 1 star for their lack of answering their phone. We consistently get voicemail and have to abort our plans of ordering sushi. I hate to say it but maybe there is room for another sushi restaurant to help serve the demand.

Took them 45 min to complete an order, lied about the ammount of pieces in a tray, and charged like a 4 course meal.payed 100$ for a tray containing 6 sushis, and a roll, got 2 more rolls on the side and some shrimp tempura. Horrible place

Most amazing combinations of flavors and the most quality food I have ever eaten. Ive had many dishes and every plate exceeded my expectations! The crispy crunch roll is my favorite and the steaks are great!

Wabora has become a staple in Bracebridge. We've been coming here since it opened and we have never been disappointed. Get the volcano roll you'll thank me later. Enjoy your evening!

Very upset.went in with wife for a nice meal, place was busy. (good for the restaurant and area.). They put us in list, there was 3 young ladies ahead of us.fine. But then this other couple came in, who apparently has been there before and the lady recognizes. Well next thing you know they are taken to a table. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. I have been there numerous times with family and guest. Anyway they don’t need my money and I definitely don’t need there service. I am a resident of Bracebridge. And the winter can be a long season. Who these other people are that think they are special is there problem. But a restaurant with no honor. Doesn’t deserve my patronage

What an amazing experience we had at wabora. The food was so good, and the portions were plentiful we could not eat it all. Our server was very helpful when we were trying to decide what to eat. We will definitely return if we are in the area again, or maybe make a trip up for just this!

Just really good sushi. Love the esthetic of the place. Food is prepared fresh and not too much rice with the sushi. The rolls were amazing and the service was fantastic to boot. Definitely recommend, definitely delicious.

Probably the best meal I've had in years! Prices were reasonable, staff were a delight and food was incredible! I wish there was one in Barrie! I will be visiting again next year when we return to Muskoka!

Grossly overpriced sushi for what you get. I could barely finish my two rolls but felt obligated to after the money I paid for them. They tasted horrible and definitely not up to par. Would not recommend and will never go back!

I've ordered the Salmon Teriyaki and the taste was so good it stays on my mouth. I highly recommend this restaurant when you are in Bracebridge. You should never miss out this place when you are in the area.

Delicious Japanese teppanyaki food in Bracebridge. Had the Teryaki Chicken with vegetables and steamed rice. Very good. Another good dish is Salmon with vegetables. Portions are generous so come hungry. Service pretty good as well. This place is busy in the summer time so book ahead.

Excellent Japanese restaurant with very freshly prepared Sushi and Sashimi. Very good selection of entrees.

Sunday at 2 PM, the place was pretty empty. The server was friendly, didn't rush us, but when he told us at 2: 28 that the kitchen would stop serving bento boxes at 2: 30, we quickly selected, with a helpful suggestion for my husband. The food was excellent, and the only reason my rating is one star less than perfect is that our miso soup arrived well after the bento boxes.
Such a treasure, and a highlight of our infrequent trips to Bracebridge.

Really, really awful and completely indifferent to constructive feedback. Typical frozen fish sushi, which I expected, but the rolls were inedible. The first one wasn't what I expected but I tried it anyway. It had a really synthetic taste and texture to it. Imagine if a piece of styrofoam and a jar of mayonnaise had a baby and they blended their offspring into a filling for a Japanese roll. I couldn't eat it. I ordered another simple shrimp tempura roll. I knew it would be awful when the chef/cook put it up on the counter 15 seconds after it was keyed into the register. Shrimp was obviously cold as it was previously prepared it and was so tough it could have passed for albino beef jerky. I couldn't eat it either. I didn't ask for but thought they might remove 1 of the rolls from the bill. Nothing removed on a $100 lunch for 2. On the way out they asked how the food was and I said politely that it was awful. The owner smiled and said he's pass it along to the chef. I suspect I saved myself some gastrointestinal trouble by avoiding the rolls.
PART 2 IN RESPONSE TO THE RESTAURANT FEEDBACK: I told the server that the 1st roll wasn't what I expected but I tried it anyway and it was awful. I then asked for a simple tempura shrimp roll which is described earlier. I told the server that it too was inedible. When the bill arrived I told her that I thought at least 1 of the 2 uneaten rolls would be removed. She said "I asked the owner (you) to remove something but he said no". When we left and I gave you feedback you didn't offer to remove anything from the bill. Your response was as I described, indifferent. So, it would appear that you had adequate feedback from me and ample opportunity to consider refunding something but consciously chose not to. That's fine. Offering to credit something for bad food after a (former) customer leaves the restaurant and writes a negative review might not be the best way to keep customers happy. Also, mind reading might not be your thing. You may want to consider listening to customers and improving your product where required.

Amazing food, and great quality sushi especially considering its so far north. Fish is great tasting and fresh thanks to the owner driving to Toronto every day to the market. Would recommend this place to anyone, truly an anomaly in Muskoka's dining scene

Don’t let them take your food to the back to pack up. Our server grabbed our sushi with his bare hands to pack it up then wiped his hands with paper towel
Always always get them to bring takeout box to your table so you can do it yourself.
Had to throw out perfectly good sushi all because he put his grubby hands on our food.
I contacted health and safety and am waiting to hear back.

Food is good but when there is a problem it is not solved properly. Got my food and it looked like it was old and soggy and not very warm so I complained to be told them could “warm it up” and I said I didn’t want it warmed, it took a lot of effort to get only new vegetables on my plate. Food is good until there is a problem.

I visited Wabora for lunch while I was in Town meeting with an old friend from college. The service was fantastic, the food was absolutely delicious and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a nice sushi date in Bracebridge.

Food was good. However after finishing my soup I got cramps and 3 hours later I suffered from tremendous migraine. I wonder if they use msg. Also the lady who cleaned the bathroom just used dry paper towel to clean the toilets and sink: (. Waiter was nice but not very knowledgeable about food. Never ask us for coffe or desert.

Food and service wasn't as good as previous visits. A little disappointed for the $ spent. Sever only really spoke to us when time to pay bill. Cha ching was my feeling. Only asked for refill of water 3 times before getting it. Hopefully it was an off night.
