The food was just sad to say the least. It didn't look appetizing at all. The overall taste was just ok, nothing special. I would not recommend coming here if you want good sushi/food.

Decent food, decent service, decent pricing. Why 2 stars? When you pack take-out orders, I ask that you separate the raw fish and the hot food. By the time I got home to eat my fish it was all cooked. If I wanted a medium rare I’ll go to the keg thanks.

Great Sushi, good options we usually do the A La Carte option. Sushi is delicious & fresh, service is good & friendly staff.

$27.99 adult lunch for AYCE. Pretty alright, some of the sushi was a lot better than other options on the menu. The beef short rib was good, as was the spicy salmon roll. You order it all on the iPad.

I really enjoy eating at Wakame Sushi on Sheopard Ave. W. The food, the staff and the atmosphere are all great!

Biggest japanese food portion for a $17+ Bento Meal. Delicious and filling. Worth your money all the way. Haven't tried their all you can eat since the bento is already the top notch in their category.

Long-time customer. Seaweed salad got VERY small and 1 of 2 ordered was bad (inedible). Also, giving 2 very small soya sauces for a large order? One tray had 2 & the other had none. Was this missed or intentional? Quality control is very lacking

Ordered special roll tray - 64 pieces and I paid in cash - they gave me free spring roll and 10% off

I’ve been going here since I was 7 or 8, and it’s an amazing place! The flavor is so good, and the miso soup is the perfect level of sauce! The sushi you can eat for DAYS and it makes you full so fast. They also serve a couple flavor of ice cream, and they are all amazing! I love this place, I 100% recommend!

Service is here exceptional, no complaints, great customer service.however, for the price of ayce it should reflect on the quality of the food. Too expensive for lunch, food was not the best quality, and not much selection.

Been eating here since it opened. However last night, ordered via UBEREATS and the California rolls (all of them) still had wrappers on the imitation crab inside the sushi.

Just ordered a spicy salmon roll. There was no spicy sauce at all in or on the roll, furthermore the rice was terribly dense and sticky, it tasted like leftovers. I could not eat it and threw it out, that's how bad it was. I won't be back to this place.

I would rate it zero stars if possible. I don't know why this place survives!

Their chicken was sooooooo dry and salty. I couldn't even chew cuz my mouth felt hurt eating that. Paid $30 for the foods and I felt like I was eating someone's leftover from last night.: (Should get improvement on that. Tampera was okay.

Rice was undercooked and it was shocking to see how they put hot miso soup right beside our sushi in one plastic bag. The taste was mediocre and I will never eat from this place again.

Great food! The fish is fresh and very creamy. Unfortunately, the service was horrendous. I used to order their food through Uber eats very often and decided to go visit the physical location. Big mistake!
Now that restaurants are open I’ll choose other places for sushi, which is a shame because the food at Wakame Sushi is indeed great, far better than the service they offer.

The food is very good but unfortunately this is the most frustratingly inconsistent restaurant i have ever ordered from.they forget to add the sauces on some things on at least 25% of orders. They have delivered the wrong dishes to us again and again, if you order for a specific time they just make it right away and deliver it without checking (e.g. 1 hour ahead of when you ordered it for). The website hasn't worked correctly for reordering old olders forever, but they never respond to comments.that having been said, we keep ordering.but we used to order weekly and now i explore other restaurants whenever i can.if you have the opportunity, eat-in, don't order out.

Very disappointed on the food i orded on the menu it said fried udon noodles and it came soggy and wet and the chicken was jelly with bad smell, i could not eat the food, and we ordered a bento box with salmon and the salmon had a big fat string and was in very bad condition it was not a grate taste at all.
A waste of money and will not order this foods again.

We have been customers of Wakeme for years, lately the quality is less than sub par. The rolls fall apart. The fish is dry and there rolls have missing item, such as fish egg.

We got takeout because well.covid. Anyway, it was good! Ill be ordering again today and I see that they deliver! No service charge or delivery fee needed unlike uber eats!
Ive been 4 times. I see that the reviews arent great but personally, ive only experienced good things here and honestly for the same thing, they are cheaper than compared to yonge street!

The food was absolutely amazing and the service was great! I ordered two bento boxes and we played just about $32. It was a great deal!

Quality has gone way down and prices up, service is straight up terrible and price is too high for what you get. The past Thai tasted like ketchup and there was a lot of MAYONNAISE on the sushi. Avoid at all costs.

The food is normally fresh. Better avoid the beef and chicken since they are usually cooked from frozen. The service is quick and the staff is friendly.

They forgot the shrimp tempura and instead of apologizing for offering to get us one instead said that it was in the bag over and over again even though we did not have it. We have Bought food from there over 100 times and this is the first time receiving bad service however this is unjust.

Consider me surprised! Was recommended this place while driving by with a coworker so we pulled in for a quick lunch. Place was not very busy and server quickly asked us all you can eat or menu before we even sat down. Efficiency I guess. We both had bento boxes and all the food was fresh tasting and really good quality for the price point. Between the two of us a great lunch cost under $35 and we both left really full. My only downside was that it took incredibly long to order or even to pay. I know we were right before dinner service but it was a wait.

This place sucks pretty hard. It's not much cheaper than the rest but the selection for weekend lunch buffet is hugely lacking. They're hand rolls have too much rice and the selection of rolls is meh. The fish selection is also lacking. General Tao chicken sucked. The spicy white fish for really good. The dragon rolls were ok.

Went for dinner with my friends and had a great time, nice environment and the sushi’s are good, not the best but with good taste!

Worst service ever! If I could give ZERO stars I would. I had to call someone to take my order after being ignored for 10 minutes. 15 minutes later a server brought a bowl of rice, 20 minutes passed after that and I still hadn't received the main. The rice had gone cold by then. No one acknowledged me waiting for the food. This after I watched them serving food to the people at the next table who came LONG after me. I lost my appetite for the food. Will never go back to this restaurant.

Slim selection on the lunch ayce menu. The rolls have WAY too much rice. The service was mediocre. Not impressed overall.

The staff was nice, the food was very good, it is fresh unlike some of the other sushi stores that use expired rice.

With it's shabby exterior, it's very easy to overlook this gem of a restaurant.

I first visited Wakame years ago with friends but couldn't find it when I revisited the area because I didn't remember its name. But I'm super happy that I've found it again, because it's one of the more affordable sushi restaurants with good service and selection.

The sushi was prepared quite quickly and food arrived just a few minutes after we ordered. The quantities are great for the prices that they charge.

The staff were quite friendly, checking on us regularly. We visited just before closing and one of the staff cleaning the restaurant checked with us to see if we were ok with her cleaning tables around us, which I thought was very considerate.

Now that I've rediscovered Wakame, I certainly plan to visit again.

Tablet oriented all you can eat sushi. Quick service and quality is great. Nice atmosphere and price is reasonable.

Cashier didn't clean hands or worn gloves before having the direct contact with the food. Food is average tasting.

We have been to this place few times. But this time it was horrible as they started to clean the place with strong chemicals while customers are eating. The place was suppose to close at 10: 30pm. But they shut down the kitchen and cash by 10pm and started to clean. We couldn't even open the mouth without getting heavy chemical odor into our mouth and had to leave immediately. Management didn't even bother to provide alternatives and apologies, except one waitress. Very inconsiderate to the customers should have at least told people to leave or put a sign stating they ate closing early. Never go there again.

This place is absolutely the worst place to eat sushi. Service was awful. Wrong items brought to our table, things we ordered never made it to our table. Servers didn't speak any English at all. The food that did make it to our table was room temperature at best. Pad Thai tasted like it was drown in ketchup. The wakame at 401 and Weston Rd is much better. I do NOT recommend eating at this establishment. If negative stars were available I'd give it a -9.

Good food and pleasant staff. They forgot one item we ordered, but we were a large group during lunch rush.

Pros: Sushi is fresh. Great location.
Cons: Siu mai was old. Fruit flies everywhere. Mandatory tips.

We had all you can eat dinner on a Friday night. Price was 28.95 plus tax (comes down to 32.72 dollars) but each of us got charged around 5 dollars for mandatory tips (we had to pay 37.06). The receipt doesn't say "tips" so unless you ask, you'll wonder where your money went.

It used to be good but not anymore! Servers are extremely rude and they never apologise even when they are at fault. Also the quality of the food isn't that good anymore.

Came in minutes before last call/ all you can eat. Great service, clean place. Veg options were excellent.

Place started off great when it first opened up. Since then, the quality has gone downhill and prices have increased. Servers are very very rude.

The sushi is over priced, and the quality is 5/10. All you hear is them yelling in chinese at each other as they make suhi. Ling Ling Bao Chiiii Ching Wang Wooo

Even though the food was okay, it took more than 45 minutes for the waitress to give us an answer of the status of our food
The food took even longer, and it was clear that the waitress forgot to order it, she did not offer an apology of any sort.

Food was pretty great, but service is terrible

On our first visit they seated us in the middle of the restaurant and refused to seat us elsewhere when half the restaurant was empty, this wouldn’t be a big deal deal but they proceeded to seat a family directly next to us elbow to elbow for some reason

On our second visit we sat down and watched the manager use an electric fly zapper right over the sushi bar and we couldn’t stomach that any longer as he kept at it, we walked out

Food just tasted like eating excess salt and fat. No taste whatsoever. Just the soup was fine rest was full of brine. Too much MSG and food tasted awfully stale. I have been there in the past, perhaps 3 years ago and the quality of food was much better then. Please teach some manners to the servers, when I asked them to take some food away as I could not finish the whole dish, the server rudely said that All you can eat is meant to be finished at the table. It was just 1/3rd of the dish and I did not want to waste food. The management should also allow choice of AYCE and a la carte on the same table. This will allow more families to eat together and make their choices. I want the management to know that the customers are who make name for your restaurant and they should be treated with respect. Your Buffet is overrated and over priced.

Great buffet with hearty sashimi portions. Everything was fresh and tasty. The garlic beef is fantastic! I highly recommend it for a group!

What a shame, this started as a great place for Sushi, however it has steady gone downhill since their 2nd year.

The staff is RUDE, and would rather rush by than smile and ask if you need anything. The prices have consistently increased, and freshness and quality dropped.

So sad, when they opened we used to go there once a week, now it is a last resort!

If you want poor service and overpriced Sushi, this is your place. I don’t see going back, enough punishment and disappointment.
