Received best possible service from the receptionist who answered the phone yesterday and booked me for 2pm today. Dr. Amer was efficient and caring and prescribed me antibiotics and left the clinic at 2: 20pm.

I called ahead to see if they could renew a controlled prescription after moving from a different province. The receptionist booked me an appointment and said they would call me back if there were any issues with the renewal.

They didn't call back and didn't answer when I tried to follow up (twice). I came in, only to be told they could not renew my prescription even with a letter from my previous doctor.

Contacted both Walmart and JN Health over false advertising. At the time of writing, this is NOT a walk-in clinic, and neither organization cares to correct this while using the "Family Practice" label as a cover to excuse themselves.
I realize there are doctor shortages, but there's no shortage of administration across "the system", so the fact that this shows up as a "walk in" clinic to this day is insulting and absurd.

Walk-in clinic books up immediately and only accepts those who show up in person. Called prior to and at 9 AM (opening time) and got sent to voice-mail (which was full) - when I eventually did get thru to reception I asked about walk ins and was immediately hung up on with no response.

For God’s sake please start picking up your phone and stop ignoring the other 14 people that have mentioned this

The staff is wonderful and kind, especially Shireen and Reem. The doctor herself is very knowledgeable. She deserves a higher position than she has it.

Why can't I reach my doctor? I like my doctor a great deal, she is a wonderful doctor but I can't reach her. The phone keeps on ringing and ringing, they don't even set up the voicemail anymore. I need help but can't reach my doctor, which is Dr. Amer. What is wrong with this clinic they send out the wrong requisition and I don't even need one, I had already that the xray. The clinic use to be efficient but there's been a big change in the service being received or not received. I'm sorely disappointed.

Waiting time is terrible even if you take an appointment you have to wait more than hour and half and always no one answer on the phone
08 October 2022 8:48
Horrible place. Get there at 9am to book an appointment for the same day. Arrive at your appointment time only to wait 1-2hr before seeing the doctor. Interestingly, all those who also booked appointments had to wait 2hr passed their scheduled appt times while the clinic passed people who weren’t even there at 9am to register for an appointment. One mother with a young infant was first in line and waited 2 hours, frustratingly, with her screaming child before even being allowed to enter the triage area.

Abysmal experience with no concern for peoples’ time. I don’t see why the doctor would be so behind other than the fact that they were passing people who the staff, presumably, personally knew considering that they were communicating in their native tongue.

Healthcare isn’t free; we pay for it with our taxes. Don’t let your ohip pay this clinic for services - go somewhere else.

Dr. Amal Amer is very rude. I don’t like her at all. Does not even speak proper English. Not sure how she is able to do her job. Terrible service.

Needed some antibiotics fast so walked in to the clinic and saw the Dr after an hour or so wait. Appreciated the professionalism of this Clinic and it's staff.

There is no better Doctor than Dr Amal Amer. I feel my husband and I have won one of the most important lotteries in life. Caring, knowledgeable and extremely gifted. Love the staff too. Polite, and helpful… What a rare practice.

Every time I see Dr. Amer I get the best Advice and help. Every issue I have had over the years as been addressed and taken care. Thanks for all the help.

I am grateful that I have received a professional help from Dr. Amal, regarding the health issue I had. It was my first great experience in Ontario health system. So far twice I have been to that clinic and I am very satisfied with the service I have received. Although it took me more than two hours of waiting to see the doctor but it worth it. The receptionists are very polite and supportive.

Extremely unprofessional, and you'll wait for literally hours just to get a prescription re filled. They dont do over the phone appointments, and in person appointments are for follow ups only.so you have to walk in and register before waiting. They tell you to come back at certain time but it's not an appointment.just the time from which your waiting will begin. I've been waiting for 2 hours outside in the rain for something that could have been over the phone.refilling a prescription that I've been taking for 6 years shouldn't have to be in person at this rate. I would find another place but there.is nothing else in this city.

Just wasted my time. First she said she need my X-RAYS to see what’s going on, today when I had my X-rays with me. She said can’t see the X-rays. She just explained me the report of radiologist.
And by the way don’t expect any greetings. Not even hi/hello.

Excellent, professional service. I've called many times the past year due to illness and every call was returned in prompt fashion. Dr Amer is one of the best physicians I have ever had, and in these times I am so very grateful to have her. Front desk staff very courteous and compassionate. Five stars all the way

Walked in and asked for my 3 small stitches to be removed. Apparently the doctor “will only remove stitches for his patients, not someone walking in” which is strange as this is a walk-in clinic. Also mentioned that my ER doctor instructed me to go to a walk-in clinic to have my stitches removed, but they still refused. Unfortunate because this clinic used to be very welcoming and friendly: (

They need a zero though but i have no option. A worst experience visiting there with a aggressive receptionist who wanted me to visit there everyday just to book an appointment.

Really depends on who you get as both a receptionist and doctor. I loved the first receptionist I got. She was super friendly and had a positive attitude. When it came to the doctor, it seemed like she hated her job. Going into a walk-in you should be greeted a little better, especially since we don't want to be there in the first place. I had to go in a second time because I had not heard back from them, and reviews said they were bad with responding to calls. The second time I went back, the receptionist (different than the first one) was a bit rude. Overall, wouldn't recommend this location. Didn't feel welcomed at all.

Doctor Amer is a great Doctor who has helped me many times with various issues. She's always extremely busy but gives every patient the care they need. The reception however needs some help. I can't make an appointment with my doctor unless I show up in person, which kind of defeats the purpose because then I could just do a walk-in then and there. The receptionist never returns messages to book an appointment. This has been going on since 2018. The message they leave on the phone says it will take them 24-48 hours to return a call for an appointment, which is fine. I wait a week at a time and never receive any call back. So I have to show up in person. I've brought this up to the receptionist before and she apologizes and explains that sometimes they have to turn the phone off because it doesn't stop and that they get to it when they can. Needs to be fixed.

25$ for a doctor's note? ! I'm a full time student; how do you expect me to pay that? !

The doctor should of mentioned the pricey cost for a piece of paper before offering it to me. Ridiculous

Just went to this clinic today. Saw a banner outside saying they are accepting patients. Walked in; the person whose supposed to stay a the front wasn't there till 40 minutes. I asked her just to confirm so i can get my husband an appointment and then may be he can have a family doctor. This woman LIED basically that we never accept any patients at all. Sorry if i knew her name i would have mentioned it here. Next time i see a doctor her: i am definately complaining and will complain on the website too. The doctors part (i have had a great experience always). Thanks.

Alright, so:

I need to respond to some reviews here about "religion". Just because the doctors are wearing hijabs mean nothing. They aren't forcing anything on you, or down your throat. That's equal to a doctor wearing a cross or angel pin and complaining about that.

I had a great experience here. The doctor was knowledgeable, and helped me as quickly as she could. I came in on Tuesday morning after a long weekend, and there was obviously a long wait. The receptionist sincerely apologized for the wait time while guiding me to the back. I was alone in the room for maybe 5 minutes before the doctor saw me.

The only downside was the long wait. The fact the doctor was wearing a hijab meant nothing to me. She did her job exceptionally well, and got me what I needed.

People need to stop being so discriminatory, especially of people who have a specific religious belief - especially when the only thing they do is wear something you don't. They're not asking you to follow what they do. They aren't denying you service. People who are judging this clinic based solely on that, need to get a life. The doctor was great, and that's what she was there to do.

Worse walk in clinic experience ever. First I walk in the morning to see a doctor.normal I think for a "walk in Clinic" and I am given an appointment for early afternoon on the same day. Afternoon appointment is 20 minutes past agreed upon appointment time, then another 10 minutes waiting into the patient room. Then the doctor walks in, obviously having a bad day, without saying hello or anything and starts telling me that I should go visit my family doctor for the note that I required. I had disclosed to the front desk (the lady hate her job, it is so obvious) when booking the appointment that I did not want to go to my family doctor due to time constraint and distance! Forget this place.and I won't even mention the religion part. You deal with the public, let's keep it public and secular. Never again.
