Previous visits were fine, but today, January 11,2024, at 444pm, this took the cake. In the early morning, my son slipped and fell, puncturing his knuckles and hitting the side of his head. Throughout the day at school, he told me he was dizzy, lightheaded, and fatigued, so I told him I'd take him walkin-clinic. He waited till I finished work because I work an hour away from home. I confirmed on their website that they close at 5 p.m, and I attempted to call the clinic numerous times during the day without luck. I left work early and took the 407etr home. When I arrived at the clinic at 444pm, the clerk stated that they were closed, to which I answered, "your site said 5pm, I've been calling all day, no answer, and I know you not do online booking. " She "replied the rooms are full and the doctors are not taking anyone else. " I inquired as to why this was not indicated on the website. She also didn't tell me where I could go or ask what the problem was to recommend an after-hours clinic to go to. After my experience today, my family and friends will not be coming to Jack Nathan Health. As a healthcare worker myself, I was dismayed that your clerk provided no assistance, sympathy, or empathy. The encounter would have been different if she had suggested a different location. It would also be good to note on your website that once rooms are filled near the end of the day, your team will not be accepting any more patients. Now I have to take my son to another place an hour away to see whether he has a concussion or not.

I can't comprehend how you can close early and say capacity reached when the clinic is empty. Very shameful as a healthcare clinic. Also very unprofessional. Will be reporting this to healthcare management. This is the very reason I dislike Bowmanville healthcare system. You want proper healthcare go to Oshawa where they actually care.

Quick, personable and knowledgeable. Definitely our new go to now that we’re in Bowmanville. All the staff were very kind and easy to speak with.

This place doesn’t even deserve a one star, the fact the lady behind the counter can speak to people the way she dose and have no respect, how they find these people to work a doctors office and tell me full capacity even tho only 2 other people in there waiting even coming an hour and a half before 5. What a joke. Leave work early for this trash.

I have came here 4 times and I can tell you guys that 4 times I had a horrible experience in the aspect of time. I am currently writing this while sitting in a room waiting for a doctor. I checked in at 10: 10AM when there were 2 people ahead of me and I am still waiting for the doctor when it is 11: 33 AM now. It’s like they don’t care if their patients wait while they go to the front desk and have their joy talks and eat their donuts.

I have been to the urgent care when my family doctor dr kassell is there and everytime it has been a great experience. Receptionist Stacy and the nurse Julie are wonderful and very pleasant everytime. Dr kassell is my family doctor and there are not enough words to say how wonderful he is. He is the best doctor and I'm glad I have him. Both my sons have him as a doctor and they say the same thing.

I generally don’t review but this one is needed coz I loved this clinic and the doctors since they opened but todays experience made me thought not to go back to this place ever again. RUDEST receptionist and lady doctor who couldn’t fill / fax prescription with proper dosage.

Don’t want to name the doctor here, she forgot to mention dosage on the prescription which was sent to the pharmacy. I went to the pharmacy and pharmacy rep refused to give meds coz of incomplete prescription. Pharmacy rep faxed the request to this clinic in front of me (which the RUDE receptionist refused) I had to drive back the to clinic to explain the issue and take hard copy of prescription but Instead of escalation the RUDE receptionist said that we are busy and doctors are human, they do mistakes. I’m sorry but doctors don’t make mistakes they make blunder. So now I will have to either register myself again to see another doctor (which will take 2 hours same as morning) to get new prescription or wait till the the first doctor fix the blunder (don’t know when as she left the clinic and the RUDE receptionist don’t know her schedule)

It is my first time at this clinic, I was so anxious to go to this clinic because of the bad reviews. Heads up, it is a very long review.
The receptionist was so friendly. She greeted me then ask me for my date of birth to log it to their system. Once she took my information she asked me to have a seat and wait.
After some time the nurse called my name and once we got inside the room, she greeted me and ask about how I'm doing. Then she asked me about The reason of my visit. The nurse was very friendly and kind, she took all the required information and ask me to wait for the doctor and indicated that the doctor will be in shortly.
Doctor Tomsa walked in, she was very polite. She greeted me and asked how she can help me. I explained my symptoms, she listened patiently and ask for some more information. Then Dr. Tomsa indicated she will do the physical checkup and emphasize that her hands are cold. She tried to warm them for a couple of seconds and she apologized multiple times in advance and explained why she thinks her hands were cold. She was very kind and caring. I can tell from her facial expression. She really felt that I am in a lot of pain and tried her best to help me out.
I am very thankful for the staff and the doctor. I experienced nothing but kindness and care. Once again thank you.

While I had to wait quite a while, the receptionist, nurse and doctor were all excellent. The receptionist runs a tight ship and I was impressed. I would definitely return.

I've been to this clinic multiple times and honestly don't understand the bad reviews?
I have never had a bad experience here. Wait time is usually short and staff is great.

I never leave reviews when I have bad experiences somewhere but the woman doctor in there is awful. Had a fever of 104, trouble breathing, no appetite and bad cough, she told me “I don’t know what you want me to do for you”. Was in there for less then 2 minutes, you can tell your just a number to her and best of all, she just walked out of the room without saying anything. Do not recommend going here unless you ask for a different doctor.

I’m new to Bowmanville. Visited another clinic yesterday. After 45 minutes in line and observing reception I left. The Clinic at Walmart was so different. It has professional staff greeting at door clean facilities and excellent Doctor. Makes all the difference when you don’t feel well.

If you can go elsewhere, girl at front desk is rude and literally will text in front of you and not acknowledge you. Always bad experiences here, and long wait times

Went in one day for my daughter and was told she just had a viral infection. Went back the next afternoon because her symptoms worsened. Nurse didn't even triage to check temp or heart rate. I had to ask the doctor to check it because she was dismissing that she had a fever because she did not have one the first visit. It ended up being 104°. She said probably just bronchitis and finally got a prescription. Ended up having to take her to the ER that same night and she ended up being diagnosed with pneumonia, and that doctor said he could hear it, and chest x-ray confirmed it. They just get people in and out and don't take the time to address all concerns at the clinic. Plus the receptionist was so busy on her phone she was ignoring people at the door waiting to register.

I'd give a half-star if I could. Absolutely the worst experience I've had in a walk-in clinic.

First and foremost, the front desk doesn't bother saying hello. The first question they ask is 'what's your birthday'.

So then my son and I are waiting in the office for the doc.
Doc comes in. She asks me a question about which side was affected.
Doc immediately gives me the diagnosis, and then after a 30-second long spiel about the medication (which she neglected to tell me the cost) she leaves. SHE JUST LEFT.
I had zero opportunity to ask a question or to mention anything else.

Just go elsewhere.

Edit. The company responded back to me. They suggested reaching out through their email address for more help. However, I already did this.the same day I saw the clinic. And no response. Again, another reason this company is horrible.
