Walk-In Pediatrics Clinic

It all depends how many doctors on duty.i was lucky there were 2 doctors on duty.give your self 2 hours wait time.

I have always taken my kids 10,8 and now 16 month old to this walk in clinic. Always had a good experience. Experienced pediatric doctors.very patient and thorough with assessments and reassuring a parent of risks and expectations. What else can a parent ask for. When all others are closed, their doors were open.

Service is very dependent on the specific doctor working.

I came a Year ago and received wonderful service, treatment and a thorough evaluation for my son. I was unbelievably thankful and pleased with the experience. I did however return recently, and the pediatrician in the office that day was unbelievably rude, unprofessional and simply gave my LO a look over.

Obviously, a walk in pediatrician is better then no medical care at all. However, the service really does depend on which doctor is working.

The receptionist is rude and hung up on me before I could ask my next question. I tried to call again and didn’t answer. Unbelievable! Never seen anything like this.

I don’t normally write reviews as I don’t have time. But I’m making the time to write this review. Today, my son was showing signs of a UTI, which I know is very uncommon in boys. Thankfully, this Paediatric walk in clinic was open at the time I found out and was able to get a hold of someone via text, as the telephone line was busy. Thank goodness they reply to texts because I had already called 4 walk in clinics before this one and they all said because it was near to closing time they wouldn’t accept my son.

Upon arrival, we were fortunate it wasn’t that busy and I requested a U-bag to put on my son as he is not potty trained yet and I know I needed to collect a urine sample. He peed quickly and I transferred the urine sample into a sterile container also provided by the clinic.

It was confirmed through his sample and symptoms that he does have a uti and we were able to get it treated to quickly, rather than having to go to a regular walk in clinic that also accepts adults or to the hospital.

I am grateful to the receptionist that answered my text message so quickly and the paediatrician who saw my son and confirmed my diagnosis.

The only issue I had was when I looked at the prescription, it did not say that his antibiotics needed to be in liquid form. I knew this as a I work in healthcare and that a 2 year old isn’t going to take pills this large. So I told the receptionist and she corrected it.

Thank you to the staff today for all your help! My son is already feeling better after starting his course of antibiotics!

I take my son here when I'm not able to see his family doctor. The clinic was recently renovated and it looks great. The on-call doctor we saw took his time, checked my son and gave me an explanation and his diagnosis. We waited a while, but he did not rush and it's greatly appreciated that he took the extra time to check him and find the problem.

The wait times are amazing. No need to wait for hours to get medical attention. The doctors are friendly and lovely. I highly recommend this for parents with a sick kid and no access to their pediatricians

Used this clinic a number of times. Staff have always been kind and doctors are very knowledgeable and quick.

Care was good. There was a 2 hour waiting list, but you had the option of leaving and getting a text 20 minutes before the physician was available.

At least there is a place for me to go in case if my child is struggling. At least there are doctors, good receptionist and at least you will get some initial advice and further directions if needed.

Places like this will help Canadian healthcare act better and provide better support to Canadian.

The receptionist is so rude, but I guess that's the price we have to pay for so called "free healthcare".

This walk in clinic has been a life saviour to our son. Our family Dr only opens Mon to Thurs and this is where we go if we needed urgent care to our son. The Doctor and front desk staff are always been amazing despite they are fully packed most of the time especially this winter time. Doctor always answer our queries and explains things in details. Highly recommend for your children.

Good experience, polite receptionist, Dr. Bhati is full of understanding and listen carefully, no doubt provide a solution and offer follow up appointment. Every time I ask for appointment they provide me for the very next day, no long wait times. But for my emails they replied late, may be emails go to spam or due to any other reason. Overall good experience.

I always take my kids to this walking clinic and the service and attention is pretty good,!

I've only been here a few times for my children but I have had good experiences every single time. I've read alot of these post and everyone is giving them 1 star reviews. But for myself personally, I would go back. There's hardly wait time.receptionist she all very kind. Doctors are great.

I like service provided by your receptionist: very polite, friendly and attentive. Appointment with docotor Andrew Tavares was very professioanal.

I have been calling since Monday and the phone just rings out!

3 weeks later still calling with no answer, cannot even leave a voicemail!

I was reading comments about this clinic about how the secretary is so rude. I tried calling to ask if I have to book an apptment for my daughter to go there. As I know some walk-ins require you to book an appmnt to see the doctor. She responded in a very mad voice, walk-in! Then hungs up on me before I even get to ask one more question. So I ended up not bringing my daughter there. People like that shouldn’t be working in that environment!

Reading the previous reviews I was hesitant to go but it is the closest one to me so I was hoping for the best. My son woke up with what looked like pink eye. As others mentioned, it opens at 10 but the doctor doesn’t come till 10: 30 which is a bit annoying but thankfully once he was in it went pretty fast. We were out by 11: 30 with a prescription. The doctor was very nice and personable. He wasn’t dismissive at all like some of the comments I saw here. The receptionist was a younger woman who was pleasant. Not sure if it’s a different person during the week. The only other negative I’d say was the exam rooms weren’t the cleanest. There were pieces that go on the ear/throat device on the floor as well as random scraps of paper. Considering we were one of the first ones there, you’d think the room would be cleaner.

I had only one time good experience here when doctor Ijaz waseem attended my son and rest other time it was bad experience one time one doctor didn’t even check my son properly and give him wrong medicine and he never had ear infection and most recently a old lady receptionist had worst attitude and behaviour any women could have in doctor clinic when a visitor already upset coming with sick child. When I entered the door she start shouting at me that come latter and didn’t even explain me that why she is saying come latter i got shocked and asked my self that you are saying because you guise busy? So she scream again and said yes that’s why I am saying come latter. She could say this nicely without shouting at me but she wanted to get rid of me in just one second without waisting any of her important time. That kind of psycho, disrespectful women has no right to work especially at doctor clinic. If she that old to handle her work then sit home and get her mental and blood pressure treatment properly. Can’t believe such disrespectful people working such places where humanity needs the most.

Worse clinic you will ever visit.if there is minus i will give them.

Its been 3 weeks i am calling regarding my son results and they are so rude on the telephone and they just have one sentence what ever you are asking for.we have nothing to do wait for doctors

And after 3 weeks of calling and getting nothing.they told me the dr is a way.so who will send me the result.no body Waite for her to come after vacation.so no body do his job in this clinic.

Don’t Go

So it is supposed to be a walking clinic however they can not guarantee that there is gonna be a doctor when you come.

Not worthy of one star. Dr. Alba had the worst bedside manner that I have ever experienced. She made it seem that we were inconveniencing her by being there. Very unprofessional; the receptionist walked in during our 5 minute consultation to grab something and the doctor said nothing. Save your time and find another clinic.

Very rude doctor, aggressive with children.poor service, kept waiting in a room for a long time then the doctor went to see another patient and kept us more waiting. Doctor doesn’t have patience or manners.

Dr. Alaba is very friendly, courteous and professional. She takes her time to explain everything. I saw the reviews about this place before and was hesitant at first, however our experience with her has been nothing short of amazing. The place can use a bit of tidying up, however this is the job of front desk I would assume. I did try to leave a message once and the voicemail was full. My only piece of advice would be for front desk staff to just check voicemails daily and tidy up the rooms more. That’s all though. Nothing major that I would say. Recommend this place if going with Dr. Alaba.

Front desk was very rude when I ask her why am still waiting and I have an appointment after the doctor was right there at the front when I entered and took another patient before my child. This was my Second visit and I noticed Dr Alba just there while I wait plus that place is filthy. I took my child elsewhere and got prompt professional service.

Excellent care, no wait and a thorough physician. Actually was so impressed I signed up for my children to have their primary care here. Not sure why there are such negative reviews, but thankfully it hasn't been our experience.

Clinic opens at 9 am but Doctor doesn't come in until 9: 45-10: 00 am. Called before leaving home, no answer, voicemail full! They should definitely post on their website that a doctor is not available until an hour after they open so that parents dont have to sit with their sick child for an hour before they are even seen!
