Walmart Supercentre

I noticed I was being followed on two occasions that I stopped shopping at this location. They seem to hire people from one ethnic group as well, how much kickbacks do they receive doing this?

I really don't know what's going on sometimes. My partner was shopping at Trainyards Walmart this week. I beleive it was yesterday. She told me today that the self checkout guy (an older gentleman) approached her after she paid for her groceries. And asked why she bagged her purchases in her shopping cart. He said the policy was to put them to the side and bag them later. She asked where the policy was and said she scanned and paid for everything. I bagged them at the same time so I can get things done faster and be gone. The gentleman than said why are u getting upset. That means you must of done something wrong. He then tried to search her bags. She denied of course. First of all. Employees are never aloud to question you at all. If they suspect something they are to call their asset protection guys and report. Also once you pay the property becomes yours. And it illegal to search or ask to see a receipt at all. Only the asset protection people are aloud and that's usually because you are stealing. Walmart employees need more training. They are there to help not to harrass.

They didn't have enough they didn't have enough employees and very important the the healthy issue a lot a place inside Walmart not a clean very important the health for people all the product made an off-site Canada a lot of projects made from polyester clothing shoes this is not healthy against the health people the future

Bought 4 items at 9 pm found the items 5 min and waited in line for a hour. Everybody who read this go to costco there staff there works and serve u a lot quicker

I very much enjoy shopping here. Sure, sometimes there are lengthy lineups at the self serve cash. But they have great bbq chicken, and everything else that you need. Would recommend

UPDATE: It's been 2 years since my original 1 star rating and decided to give it a try again by ordering groceries online from Walmart Trainyard, and I was pleasantly surprised. They packed all fresh fruits and veggies.
2 weeks later I ordered my groceries online again and it was not a fluke, they really have improved by a lot. So far all fresh produce and the substitutions were all adequate and within the same family of products. Fair is fair and so I decided to upgrade from 1 star to 4 stars. Thank you, Walmart, for reading and acting upon the reviews. Much appreciated! Will definitely continue to get my groceries online now.

Don't order your groceries online from Walmart.
I placed an order online to pick up from Walmart Ottawa Trainyard and I got a lot of bad substitutions and rotten mildewy produce.

I didn't even thick the substitution box but they took it upon themselves to do it anyway. I ordered 3 mangoes among other stuff and because they didn't have any in store they substituted with 8 rotten cantaloupes.what a joke!
How are mangoes and cantaloupes comparable at all.
Same with my order of 5 bunch of fresh mint leaves which I planned on using for tea but I got cilantro and basil.
They'll throw anything in your grocery list just to run up your bill I guess.

I do not recommend Walmart online grocery shopping. Order from another grocery chain.

Walmart. Not much else to say. Came for the toy section and grabbed a few other things. Good flow at checkout, but a lot of people drifting around the store with questionable mask wearing abilities.

Don't advertise a game to be released on the 19th for over a month and then not have it on the shelves the day of release.that looks pretty unprofessional

Great store! The parking lot is a bit chaotic, but other than that it was good. I often stop here since it's close to work, and they are better stocked than the one I live near, not to mention they offer a wider range of products. Nice to see the consistency of Covid protocols being followed with direction indicators, hand sanitizer, masks being worn, counting of people entering and exiting.

Went to buy Shelly’s biscuits.but they were expired for 6 months when I took it home! After coming back to CS, they didn’t care to rectify the situation and noticed following week it was still stocked up with the same expired Shelly’s biscuits. Very unacceptable!

Large Walmart with a lot to offer. It's situated in train yards, and there's a lot around to complement it. For instance, get your groceries then grab some Wendy's for lunch

Had to tell an employee at the door to tell a customer that was waling around without a mask. He watched the guy walk around and said nothing. If they can't follow rules, they should shut the store down.

Actually was looking for Trainyards but got dropped here by uber. Don't tell anyone I was here, please. My sister wasn't with me, so not sure why I was brought here. Fate?

Been going to this Walmart for years since it’s the closest one. The employees always look like they hate their jobs and the vegetables are never fresh. Besides that other things are decent. Can’t really criticize the customer service since I’m always using the self serve area.

This place is so poorly stocked at all times. There are always entire sections of missing products. Meanwhile, at the same time, it seems like employees are constantly in the way with giant palates of stock that aren't on the shelves.

I really don't like this store, it seems most items that I am looking for are usually out-of-stock.

Worst customer service and return policy at customer helpdesk, along with a lying assistant manager who has audacity to say and accuse that he helped before and we brought the same item for return, when we did not. So, we bought a baby formula from Walmart which looked exactly similar to what we usually buy as the other one was not available.
The mistake was realized when only the box was open. Unfortunately the receipt was lost. So, we tried to return to store and oblige them to return and replace the product as it was useless for us.
After talking to two reps and accussing assistant manager he agreed and said that they can look for receipt in the system but not without telling us that we are repeat customer with returning same item which was clearly a lie. After 10-15 min wait was only told that they couldn't find our receipt. Our credit card transaction showed correct store number which corresponds to this store.
Two problems: One is 0 customer service. Second is lying and accussing your customer when we do all shopping at this store. Clearly customer service needs to learn customer service as you get in other grocery stores.

I love shopping at this location, but most of the bakery are so terrible.not long ago I bought mini crocin from this location is was so terrible. The owner should try their foods compare with L.

Love shopping at this Walmart early mornings, no crowds, store is clean and organized, lots of sales and great selection. Picked up some of my fall favourites.

Good selection.store was clean. Shoe section wasn't a mess for once. The cashier pushing for 5 min for me to fill out an application for a credit card was incredibly annoying. I don't want another credit card. Stop the practice.

Went there for a pool for my kids cause my other one broke and let me just say this the manager Dylan is one of the best guys I've ever meet in my life not only did he find us a pool but took us to the cash help is to the car and made my kids day when they saw the new pool I would say for a Walmart store this one and the staff of managers is bye far the best one around

Poor customer service! Walmart became frugal since the employee changes. The customer service desk does not even answer when you need to get through to the store manger. Walmart has gone downhill I rather pay a premium anywhere else for better quality customer service. It’s always a yelling match with these employees that barely speak English and that don’t respect the laws. Scanning code of practice is a law and you can’t tell me it changed because you want to save Walmart a dollar. Disgusting and sad!

I bought an airpod from this store. The airpod was not working when I return it to the store there was one lady she told we can do anything you should talk with he company and then I told her to call manager, manager was a good guy he ask me for replace. But the lady was very rude today around 1: 00 a blund girl with big glasses on her eyes. Today I needed help finding mason jars. I walked until I saw someone who could help. I found an employee working in the grocery area, I asked if she could help I told her I didnt see them, and she decided to show me. I was very thankful.i felt bad because there was a huge obvious display, she never made me feel bad, even though it was very far from where she was working.

Did an online order to be picked up. I have waited 30 minutes for an order I placed yesterday that they emailed me was ready for today. I am currently waiting with 2 other vehicles that have sat here even longer then I have. Cmon walmart, figure it out. Not rocket science.

Terrible staff 2 out of the many managers are good and was giving trouble because me and my wife tried to buy stuff behind the caution tape and was told this once we could due to my card being frozen an Asian lady followed us saying we were not allowed to buy the items even tho we were told otherwise

Went to Walmart on Trainyards on the weekend and the store was packed everywhere i went i was among a crowd of people so i had to leave i understand that Walmart doesn't want to lose money but that was ridiculous everywhere else they monitor how many people go in but there's no way in hell Walmart was doing that.

Not experienced good customer service. I intended to buy 3 items for $12 but they refused to provide the promotional price and said to pay $15, which they shouldn't have done. The displayed price was misleading and not acceptable at all.

The perfect American place to do groceries, but in the case here in Canada you can find the best price on some products in compare the Canadian groceries.
That’s a little funny, because a American company sell better and offer the nice deals.
But let clarify, some products will better to in Walmart.
Other information important you need to know there are day on the week days there are the best deals. Pay attention because you can find some products on the weekend expensive in compare week days!

It’s Walmart. If you are from USA or Canada, you would know what it is. If you are from other countries, to suggest, I am from India, so when I came here for the first time, I really found it difficult to figure out what it is. So for those like me, Walmart is place where it’s a combination of food market, electronics, etc.basically you could get everything from soaps, shampoos, bed, prints, food for your pets, tree food, makeups, pharmacy, first aid, clothes, bakery, bread, eggs, ice creams, stocked foods, pizza, all kinds of meat, everything.

This being one of the biggest locations not to mention busiest you would expect an increase in staff (cashiers, sales) but its the opposite. In fact not only it seems they have less staff on the floor but they have decided to force self checkout on people by creating a huge area of like 15 stations supervised by one human.as ridiculous as that sounds the walmart self checkout system is the worst ive ever seen. Nothing encourages you to use those machines than the LOUD voice of a robotic woman telling everyone in the 5 km vicinity what you are buying or it saying 5 CENTS FOR A BAG.oh who can forget the PLEASE TAKE THE ITEM OUT OF THE BAG AND PUT IT BACK.hilariously sad system and Walmart in general is taking a route. Im already turned off as a shopper and looking elsewhere. This is coming from a loyal Walmart customer of 10 years and not a sinic. Im genuinely disappointed and its unfortunate it has come to this.

Definitely one of the better wal-mart locations! It is usually pretty well organized and I like the way they now have the self-serve check out laid out. I definitely enjoy this one much more than the one in south keys.

I think this crowded Walmart is the best one in Ottawa. They offer different services, and facilities including photocenter, hair salon, pharmecy, McDonald inside the store all together in adittion to friendly customer service (from my own personal experience). One of intersting features of hair salon is selling high quality products such as shampoo with lower price. From my own experience, the customer service is very helpful, and friendly. I had a experience here about a gift from Walmar which I lost gift receipt. This Walmart was the only one that I could return that product without receipt (I tried to return it before in Baseline, and Bayshore branch). All in all, I get 4 star since their price is not competetive anymore unless you do price adjustment (price matching). Moreover, it is often too hard for me to find fresh fruits, and vegetables.

Found everything I needed and the assistant in the Tech section was very helpful. She even offered to walk me to the right shelf!

Their shelf are 1/2 empty in the fresh grocery section low on Cashiers I would no recommend this store

Nit a big fan of where the snow is piled in the winter. They block off so you can't get from the east side parking lot to the west.

Purchased headphones, when I got home I noticed that the box seemed to opened before. The headphone jack was all bent out of shape. I'm all for reselling returned items, but only if there isn't anything wrong with it. Needless to say I exchanged it.

You should revise the parking situation there. It should have more than one way in and out. It takes forever to move on the weekend

It’s a typical Walmart. I was just accompanying friends. The smell of McDonald’s made me hungry though.

I bought red mulch soil others thinks cow manure sheep manure I already paid but after 35 minutes find out the don't have the manure and the return my mony back.

The hours for the photo centre that are posted online are wrong, customer service was very rude and uninterested in doing their job. They would rather deflect the issue at hand than do some work to solve it.

Probably one of the best walmarts in Ottawa. It has the largest variety of items ranging in any category and good, hard workers.

I called the customer service department Thursday December 27th just before 2: 05pm inquiring about a stainless steel water dispenser, and the lady on the phone was extremely rude. She cut me off before I could finish my sentence, with very intense negative attitude, raising her voice at me saying we don’t carry those at all. I proceeded to explain to her I was told wal-mart carries those, and she said “website only” again with an unreasonable tone. I hope you guys make better decisions on who you hire, I was going to come by and buy a regular dispenser but I am completely discouraged from even entering a store with employees that treat their customers in such a manner.

Well, I went to buy a hot water flask. I need it for my next trip. Immediately I found related section and bought two cantigo flask. Those are so modern style and have good quality.
