There is never anyone around upstairs in the electronic / kids toy section. And when u need them to unlock the trading cards nobody shows up.

I was at the uptown Walmart at around 5/5: 05pm in the cosmetics section looking to buy a toothbrush. I went up to an employee (in a Walmart vest) that was talking to a group of her friends, and another employee. And politely asked to access the cabinet.

The female employee rolled her eyes and the other employee/friends commented “haha black monkey” followed by some other words. Which the female employee chuckled and guided me on to unlock the case.

As an African American I truly believe these comments/slurs should never be used. Please address this and make sure your employees are aware of what they are saying.

Super big super market. They sell everything, with reasonanle price. It’s very convinience and have variety of food.

Pick up is a disaster, there are no signs through out the parkade indicating where the pick up area is. If you enter through whole foods, or anywhere, you have to drive in circles through almost every level to locate it.
THEN when you locate it, you’re supposed to “check in” on your phone. But in this location, there is absolutely zero cell reception. So they have written a phone number on the signs, that you cannot call, (cus no cell service) or they do not answer.
You’ll have to get out of your car, walk in to Walmart and out of the parking area before you get any cell reception to notify them you’re here. This is extremely flawed and inconvenient for a “pick up” service.

Can someone please explain why the website of every other store on the planet will let you know how many of a particular item is in stock where walmart not only can't tell you what they carry but only lists items from 3rd party sellers? What ever happened to walking into a store to buy the thing you've sourced and priced online? I tried to buy a microwave today, listed online for $99. The first location didn't have it but there was no way to check beforehand. The second location had it for $129. The one online apparently is from a third party seller. I would have to wait a week to have the very item I had in my shopping cart shipped to Walmart in order to get it for $99. It was explained too that they don’t price match on products sold through their very own store. It's all downright stupid. I'm not sure what type of shopper Walmart is trying to cater to but it's not me. Walmart rep tried to sell me a credit card despite my frustration. What a joke.

Just bought a tennis racquet and was charged full price. Got it home and discovered what I thought was a grey handle was dirt and there are scratches on the rim. Buyer beware- especially at Walmart!

Treating everyone like criminals and telling everyone to leave all bags and backpacks at the counter when you enter the store. Love an aggressive shopping experience.

It’s fine and has just about anything you’ll ever need but no changing rooms for trying on clothes anymore not sure why. Besides that it’s good

The employee named bruno screamed at me whilst i was instacarting since the store was going to close in 15 MINUTES.i only had a few items left to shop for in my order and i was followed around by security and employees who were harassing me.every time i go to this store now i am on edge.customer service is horrible except for a select few really nice employees but the rest are basically just paid to stand there and give dirty looks.it’s really frustrating that my job as an instacart employee requires me to go to this location since it is where most orders come from.also the employee daman has repeatedly tried to hug me or shake my hand whilst im working.bagging groceries i have staff coming up to me (mostly daman) hovering over me and trying to strike conversation which makes me very uncomfortable.i understand not enjoying a minimum wage job but you should never ever treat a customer/shopper in a way that is rude or would make them uncomfortable.i cannot believe im writing a review right now, but this has repeatedly happened and i’ve been left with no choice since no one there is fixing the problem.do better.no one should have to be in fear whilst shopping! I now record majority of my shops for safety purposes.

Vegetable has gone downhill. Most of the times they're gross looking and the time that I went and saw a lot of them have nail marks in them like this picture why would you even put it out for people that's a sanitary issue. As a worker you should be putting these in the back. Gross.

Also seeing a lot of the strawberries, broccoli, other things with mold growing on it very gross please just fix this issue.

Why is it that other Walmart's on the Island have selection and stock and this one always seems to be out of stuff especially in the healthcare area and men's clothing. Where is the vaunted Walmart distribution system? Just in time seems more likely just out.

Pretty well planned out mall except the parking. My visit today was okay kinda crowded and the self checkout do not take cash.they should!

Really busy new gates make it harder to get in or out lack of cashiers dirty I usually prefer Langford even with the extra 20 min drive

Good place to go shopping, bring your own bags though. They have a cart lift so you can bring your shopping cart upstairs which I found pretty neat

Affordable grocery but lacking of many things on shelves that are mostly empty. Online pricing sometimes differ from what is on in stores. Many times they change location of their goods, very inconsistent in allocating their items. Customer service is nice and helpful and so people in vision centre. A pharmacist from Pharmacy sold me "medicine" for my daughter but it turned out homeopathic medicine for $12 that does nothing but draining your wallet. I was also honored dealing with some managers who weren't friendly, late for interview as they were chatting for 20minutes with their friends while I was waiting aside, and they showed from the first second who was the boss. Their staff needs to be managed better as once a fridge with meat was full of chicken but had none of pork. One of the member of staff came with a new big pallet and started overloading the fridge with chicken. Then you are raising question why they stand greeters at the entrance and the end of escalator when they can't manage to replenish their shelves consistently complaining that they are short of employees. I don't know how long this Walmart exist but I would expect such store in disarray from a newly open store with new inexperienced managers.

Went in for men's house coats and found the store to have one rack with very few options. Not what is normal in a Walmart this size. The store feels cold and looks very utilitarian with an obvious warehouse look and feel. The staff were friendly thankfully.

They put Christmas stuff out way too soon, they are forcing us to self check out, and there are too many pick up shopper's in the way. And their focus on food has lead to less clothing options, sad but true

I go through the Self Checkout. I want to remove an item.they don't know how their machines work, so instead of removing it, they make me go to their cash out at the front. Everything has to be run through again, debit machine is old and takes several times to get it to work. AND, they couldn't ring through anything without a bar code, so there were several things I didn't get! TRASH

It was great as always. This particular Walmart has a completely different layout than most Walmarts. There are escalators for your carts and the tech center is upstairs.

Never answer their phone, especially the customer service department. When someone finally answered the phone, they put you on HOLD again WITHOUT talking to you. How rude! I was calling for the Orange Shirts. On the website, Langford is sold out and Victoria is Almost Sold Out. I thought I should check before I actually drive down there and waste my time if you are out.

Produce section is excellent; the rest of the store looks like there is no management whatsoever.messy like a tornado just hit

Where else can you get the kind of socks your looking for, some really cheap hungry-man dinners, and a incredibly low price on an angle grinder, all under the same roof.

Always in and out quick, great self check area, moves fast, always great pricing and never a problem finding parking. The escalator seems to break often so many ppl with carts had to line up to get to their vehicles if parked up or below store level.

I find what I need here. Excellent selection of international foods better than most walmarts across the west coast. Online pick up is a breeze, I don't order meat or produce this way, preferably chose it yourself as they don't inspect expiry dates that well. Staff always friendly and courteous. More tills should be open at peak times.

Dear Walmart, could you please avoid using plastic where you can, for instance around fresh coconut, which is already protected by a hard and impervious shell. Thanks.

Great location for this Walmart. There is an upstairs and downstairs shopping area. Very spacious, pretty busy, not as many vegan items as some other Walmart locations. Lots of parking underground or above ground. The ceilings are really high so it feels like a big space.

Probably the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I stay away as much as possible from Walmart but occasionally can't pass up on a deal.

In the most recent visit I purchased a bike. A $400 bike from Walmart so not cheap. Not one employee was to be seen in or near the sporting goods/bikes. Finally after wandering around trying I found someone and asked if anyone could help me with the bikes.the employee said no and walked away. I should have left after that but liked the bike I wanted to purchase.

So long story short I found another employee asked if there was a bike mechanic.he said no. I asked if he could put some air in the tires as I planned riding it home. He said they didn't have air. Considering I was going to spend over $400 you would think he would have grabbed an air pump off the shelf but he basically ran away. I bought the bike.it was cheaply made and I had to return it as it seemed very unsafe to ride.
I explained that and was again ignored and almost charged again for the same bike because no one who works there listens when spoken to.
I will never go to Walmart again. Guaranteed.

I'm doing shopping here since 2017. Last day I visited it and found these "Naan" with this stuff. The expiry dates is mentioned 14th June 2021. I believe it's fungus on these breads. I call the girl and showed her all that's. She replied sir we are receiving them like this.

Now what to do? Whom to complain

Very poor management, BRAD the store manager hasn't been able to get the front entrance door fixed after multiple complaints in the last year and it still gets stuck every time you try to enter it gets stuck in the middle and no one bothers to get it fixed.

Grocery delivery was late. When I called to find out where it was, I was told that they had no time estimate and that it could arrive any time of day. I asked to cancel it as I couldn't wait all day, and was not permitted to cancel the order.unless it did not arrive until tomorrow. Ended up being delivered hours later and was still charged their delivery fees.

Very very poor service. I bought a sprinkler and a pair of shorts last summer never used or worn them. When I realized in less than a month I didn't want them I went to bring them back but I couldn't find the receipt. I'm a business owner so I misplaced the receipt with hundreds of other receipts. Because of covid they said they weren't doing returns. How can you not do returns if you only have 45 days to return them. So I go to bring the items back a few months later, they then tell me they are doing returns but only a limit of returns. Actually they said they were only doing returns that have receipts at this time. So today I go to bring them back. They pretty much told me since its past the 45 days I'm SOL. This is how you treat a customer that spends a lot of money at your store? I swear it's thieves and junkies that ruin it for everyone else

Avoid this location. Location is in rough shape, poorly staffed.and truly Terrible customer service.
Recent example.we called the store with an important, time sensitive question.
No answer. Called again. No answer. Tried every other department, no answer.
At one point we put the phone on speaker and let it ring non stop.for 23 minutes! No answer.
This is just one example of our experience every time with this store.
You'll find your cheap toys and chocolate or whatever else here like any department store, but if you need assistance, you're out of luck.

Went up there to buy an item that was listed as “in stock” but it was not in stock when I for there, when I asked for help an employee said he would, then walked away and never came back, saw him doing other things and paid no attention to me. Customer service told me to call before I come up so they can check if it’s actually in stock. Decided to order the item online weeks later. It was scheduled for delivery to my door today and at the last minute I was notified that my order was canceled. I called to find out why and the same person just kept putting me on hold hoping I would just hang up, finally for someone else and she said they were out of stock. WHY LET THE ORDER GO THROUGH IN THE FIRST PLACE IF ITS NOT IN STOCK? !? Canceling my order during the scheduled delivery time is just absolute garbage. Walmart is trash and their employees are useless

The very with the good prices and we having the 'Norway/Sweden' bingeing with the movie night and the special and the delicious taco kits on the very good prices here! Taco nights and the binge with the watching we like like and has best prices here on very many imported with the products! But the worker here staring often and stare stare why never see Korea people before? We likes here but maybe no like us here but price is right like they say in the USA! Mall wart. Great place if you hate supporting local businesses and community. Serves an ignorant, moral and ethically-deficient "niche", market. Destroys independent retail establishments, which is evident upon looking around at all the empty commercial space adjacent to, and throughout the entire region. Witnessed a rude interaction between a customer and an employee. A fellow asked, very politely, where the housecoats were located and the older female worker just barked at him with "I don't know, I'm working the tills right now! ". I know this person has worked there for a long time so it would have only taken a second for her to point him in the right direction.

With the number of infections increasing daily, I was surprised at the cavalier atmosphere around Covid 19 health protocols in evidence at Walmart today. While most customers wore masks, there were a few obvious exceptions that seemed to miss the scrutiny of staff. There was scant attention to social distancing, either in the crowded entry/exit way and certainly not in the long lineup at customer service. Unlike other major supermarkets I've visited, no attempt was being made made to direct or manage the numbers and flow of traffic in and out of the store. Where are our health officials, and why aren't they policing more closely?

No Covid enforcement at all. Shoppers are quite rude at this location.no social distancing or aisle direction observed. They act almost entitled! Lines are ok. I stay away from them using the self check outs instead. If you act appropriately and considerate, keep your thoughts positive, hum a tune you may have a great experience too
**I would recommend going to the Duncan location above all else! Largest store on the Island, I believe. Clean, bright, loads of great produce and meats. Shelves full at all times. The only thing is finding someone for food area. Victoria could learn something from here. Only problem is the drive, I suppose. Take a Sunday and check it out.

I purchased a Wahl haircutting kit from Walmart.ca on July 2,2020. It was returned to Walmart on September 17,2020 - well within their return window.

I noticed in early November that they still had not issued a refund for the $86.44 that they owe me and called them on the 4th. The rep said that, although their system indicated that a refund had been issued, she would escalate the matter and have someone issue a manual refund. On November 6, I received an email from Walmart that said my "return request has been cancelled. " I immediately phoned them to find out what was going on and they told me that, because a manual refund was being issued, they had to send me that "return request has been cancelled" email.

It is now December 7 and I have not yet seen that refund. Therefore, I have just filed a complaint with the credit card dispute team and am now posting this negative review.

Needless to say, our family will NEVER shop at Walmart again and we will be posting negative reviews wherever and whenever possible.

It is suck i would go there for any photo centre nor customer service they said I need to wait 30mins because the empoly is in break and there is no one else to cover for him or her.

This store employs workers that saves stuff for friends, I witness an associate save products for her friend, calls them up and when they show up, she hands them the boxes. I saw the boxes and asked about it earlier before her friend showed up and she said it's overstock and will go back for storage, yet the shelves were empty! And when her friend showed she hands him each box to get first dibs rather then stock the products.

Best place for grocery shopping. Lots of offers. Cannot do a quick in and out unless you know specifically what you want. Otherwise a good place for family grocery shopping.

It's a Walmart, but it's large well-equipped and with a generally helpful pleasant staff. It has good hours good selection and lots of parking. As a bonus it has various styles of check out, McDonald's, pharmacy, and auto insurance. These advantages over similar comfortable types of stores coupled with its good pricing give it 4 stars.

I was shopping for groceries with my niece. As of late I have been having a hip problem on my right side so I have been having to use my wheelchair to get around. We decided that I would push and steer the shopping cart while Lisa was pushing my wheelchair, me and the shopping cart.
All the weird stuff happens at Walmart.

I was actually very dissatisfied with the service I received at Walmart uptown mall location. I had a question about a product that I needed to purchase and no one in that department had a clue nor did I get a straight answer from them and I felt as though I was just getting placated with.

Like to thank the little midget in the phone department for running his mouth and not helping us, screw your way to top up minutes for the Chatr phones, never got the validation receipt and now am out $40.great scam you guys have going there.

Great place for reasonably priced food and clothing. Cell phones sold upstairs in this store along with other electronics, automotive etc.

The ICBC Autoplan Center that they have in the entrance area of this WalMart is very handy to have close by. They are good at their job and make quick work of large line ups. The Walmart itself is huge and Carrie's just everything you need to live. This is the best place to buy batteries besides Costco.

I only looked around for an hour. I did buy a few necessities because the best prices are there. You cannot lose.

This place is a joke! Shelves are always empty and the pharmacy is the worst! Getting worse with each visit.

Sure, prices are great. BUT, what I find increasingly a drag is, not only is that self-checkout security cameras in your face (feel like a valued customer much, anyone?), but now they have these pre-/post-checkout questions you must answer on screen. What a crock of BS! AND THEN, to top THAT off, once you've pair, the checkout monkey asks you "How did we do today? Would you like to fioll-out a survey? " (? !? !? !? !) Like, YEAH, I really want to help YOU manage YOUR store with my feedback. Thanks WM for making me feel welcome. Not sure the savings are worth the impersonal, degrading experience. It's everything you expect from a Walmart store. Fairly spacious. Stocking everything for your routine and daily needs. Friendly staff. I just wish the management would station a staff on a conspicuous place in the upper level wearing 'can I help you', just like the one they have near the main entrance. It is often quite difficult to locate a staff member at upper level.
This store tends to be crowded on weekends and holidays.

2 expansive floors of literally anything you'd need for life. This isn't a quick place to shop however. Uptown, and Walmart itself, is a large area to maneuver. You need time.

Store could definitely use more signage outside, that's for sure! If we hadn't met someone to ask on the way there, we wouldn't have found it! Tucked away at the back of the mall with no signs visible on the outside of mall or approaching the area. Very unusual for such a big store chain!

Staff were friendly overall but some lacked knowledge of their products. Again, typical for a lot of Wal-Mart stores.

Good prices for the basics. Love that they carry Castello Tickler Cheddar! Hard to find this amazing cheese.

Some additional organic items would be most appreciated.

It's an okay place to get groceries and other things. The staff will usually leave you on your own. There was this really rude female black staff one time that screamed at me for using the scanner that tells you the price before you go to the cashier. I didn't hear her say it was broken, then she started screaming at me saying I TOLD YOU IT WAS BROKEN! Angrily. I think she thought I was a child playing with the machine. I'm an adult who just wanted to buy some things. Most of the time, if you're looking for specific things, you won't find it in this Walmart. This place hardly ever has a lot of things from the website and isn't large enough for that. It's more for a place to buy cheap groceries and for window shopping. Also, for some reason they discontinued selling certain types of international foods like specific brands of noodles. Sometimes, the people on the cashiers are also really slow too. This store is more of a chance store. You'll get stuff you like by chance, but they have stuff most Walmarts have.

This morning i had one of the worst cashier service experience, I was at the self checkout counter, and scanning the products, I picked up a bag of grapes wanted to know how much that would cost, was too expensive for me so I told the lady cashier that I would not like to buy this product, she got so angry with me and told me “ there’s a scale in the produce section where you can check, now this goes in the Garbage” and took it away from me with so much anger, mumbling away, I’ve done this before, deciding last minute that I don’t want to buy an item but not once I got such a nasty response from any cashier, the people working at uptown Walmart are usually awesome! Always welcoming the customer and having a positive attitude, which is why I like going there. I hope this lady cashier gets retrained and learn how to treat customer right, and be respectful.

The problem is Walmart especially with the big stories they never have enough items in stock and it's always hard to find the things that you're looking for because there's insufficient staff

It was a good and great experience shopping in the Walmart. They have a spacious car parking facility to help the customers who come to shop. The articles are arranged neatly and conveniently arranged for the customers to look for and they are guided suitably by the board's. There you can find varieties of vegetables, fruits, and other grocery to choose from. In addition to the grocery etc, you can find many things like footwear, dresses, utensils, electrical, electronic, things you use in every day life.
